No registration card for AppleCare Protection Plan
I purchased my Apple TV about a month ago and I just now opened up the protection plan for it and noticed that there's no registration card for it. Did I just get a bad copy or is there somewhere that I'm not looking? For example, I notice that there's a white label on the bottom of the box that has some numbers with the words "Auto Enroll" next to them. Will these work or is my suspicion that I got a bad copy a reality?

That would seem to indicate that your AppleCare was set up automatically and no further action on your part is necessary. Auto-enroll is usual when purchasing AppleCare at the same time you purchase your product. You should be able to check the status by going to this web page:
https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do
and entering in the appropriate information. You'll then see the expiration of coverage for the unit. If it's more than one year from date of purchase of your Apple TV, you're good to go. You can also call AppleCare via the number that should be on the package.

After checking the web page that you provided and entering the information required, I got this message:
"Our records indicate that your product is covered for service and telephone support under the AppleCare Protection Plan which is estimated to expire on August 17, 2010."
It seems that I was automatically covered with the AppleCare from day one as I bought both the Apple TV and AppleCare at the same time at an Apple Store. Thanks Dave and to all of those who answered my question!

and Apple Store Genius (at Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead Georgia, on 9/27/2014) is eligible for AppleCare Protection Plan (extensible before 10/4/2014). I was asked to call Apple to purchase the extension. However, when I called, AppleCare Senior Advisor Jeffrey told me that Apple has discontinued selling the standard AppleCare plan, and he was not able to add it to my phone.
Anyone else is having the same issue? Any other way to add the AppleCare protection plan?
I was dumbfounded. I bought a phone with the understanding that I could extend the warranty within a year, and Apple just went and changed it without any provision to grandfather the existing customers? I can tell you that my 5c's value just went down. So is my opinion of Apple - where is the commitment to their existing customers?

I think that there was some confusion that occurred on your call. You asked for AppleCare, but only AppleCare + is available for iPhones. Maybe that is what the person you spoke to meant (not sure....)
I purchased AppleCare + for my iPhone 5s after I had purchased it, and went to the chat to get the info on how to purchase it.
You are correct, you need to talk with an Apple person to actually purchase it after the fact. Go to this link and try again - and just let them know you want to purchase Apple Care Plus:

I purchased my iPhone 5 and the Applecare Protection Plan a little over a year ago at my Sprint store. I was not informed that I needed to register my Applecare Plan, so I didn't. Now, my lock button on my iPhone is broken and I want to get it fixed or receive a new phone. PeachMac told me they would give me a new phone which would be covered under my Applecare Plan. I logged into Apple to make sure I still had time on my plan, but it doesn't even recognize that I purchased one and I no longer have the receipt for the plan, let alone the phone. How can I register my plan without the receipt? I'm feeling kinda of ripped off by Apple. Shouldn't they keep a record of who purchases these plans?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.Did you register the AppleCare+ plan at the time of purchase? If you didn't, even if you had the receipt, it's too late. It must be purchased and activated within 30 days of the initial purchase of the phone (it's usually done at the time of purchase). If Sprint didn't activate it at the time of sale, you can blame them. Apple doesn't control them.

Finding the Serial Number for AppleCare Protection Plan
I am trying to register my Laptop to the Protection Plan, but I can`t find the serial number. When I do, do I type everything? I thought I found it, but they say its not valid. Can someone please give me an example to me? Thank you very much!!
It is unlikely that the Serial appearing in System Preferences is wrong. Could I suggest you make absolutely certain that you are quoting it correctly.
Could I also suggest that you make the registration and buy the Apple Care by phone. You may have to actually transmit the money other than by quoting a card number. In any case you have a human to keep you right on the serial. The first step is to make sure that the serial is correct.
You can print out Sys Prefs. However it is a big file especially the section on the Applications and Extensions. I would suggest you display the first section with the serial> select the text>copy text to clipboard> paste into a fresh Text Edit document. You can then print that out to post to Apple if need be, send it by email or whatever. -
I can't submit the registration form online for AppleCare Protection Plan for Macbook Pro.
When i reach the 3rd stage of registration, i can't seem to submit. After pressing the submit button, the page stays the same for the whole day. I can't press the button again. Also, when i refresh the page, the same problem occurs over and over again. What should i do?

Can I get Applecare Protection Plan even after the expiry of my base warranty of one year ?
I have just completed one year of my base warranty for my Macbook Pro 15'. I am thinking of going for Applecare Protection Plan however while checing online I realized that I can do that only when my base warranty is still in effect. Now as I have run out off that Can I still go for Applecare Protection Plan and is it really worth.
If your one year warranty has expired, then sorry you can't buy another 2 more years.
AppleCare certainly was worth it on my last MBP, it went in for a hard drive, optical drive replacement.
If you backup well, you should be able to take care of yourself.

AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone
The Protection Plan costs $69.00 for a second year of coverage and I do not know if I should buy it. I have heard that the battery in the iPhone needs to be replaced yearly, is this true? I have heard that to replace a battery, it will cost around $85 and if this is true, isn't it better to get the AppleCare package for $69?

The quote from that page is:
A properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 400 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs.
The page you link to says it will be replaced by Apple if it drops to below 50% capacity while covered. The actual quote is:
Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. You can extend your coverage to two years from the date of your iPhone purchase with the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone. During the plan’s coverage period, Apple will replace the battery if it drops below 50% of its original capacity. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery replacement for $79, plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax. Apple disposes of your battery in an environmentally friendly manner.
In other word it should retain 80% of its capacity at least after 400 full charge cycles. If your battery should drop below 50% capacity while covered by warranty or AppleCare Protection Plan, it will be replaced by Apple. There isn't a way to read the number of cycles off the battery that I am aware of.

Apple ask me a proof of purchase of my macbook for activate my AppleCare Protection Plan, but even if it's a JPEG lower than 5 mo, it told me that it's not «good» (in french: le format de ce fichier n’est pas valide.) and I can't send them my proof... so I can't activate my AppleCare protec Plan. Call the Apple support line, ask for AppleCare Plan Administration, and get a fax number and fax a copy of the receipt to them.

As I said above: "AppleCare is valid in the country in which it was purchased."
So if you moved to the U.S. and the MacBook Air was purchased in the U.S., the warranty would be valid there (assuming all other warranty conditions are met; e.g., purchased within the past year). Otherwise, the warranty is not valid. -
Does anyone know the difference between the Applecare Warranty for the Macbook Pro and the Applecare Protection Plan Auto Enroll 607-8192-B APP FOR MacBook
AFAIK, the difference is that the auto-enroll occurs automatically when you purchase the device and you will have to disburse the cost right there and then. Whereas the other comes in a box, can be purchased separately later and you must manually enroll your device into the system to activate the additional protection. This must occur before the base one year warranty is over.
So, if you don't want to pay up at the moment you buy the computer, you can wait up to say 11 months and buy the AppleCare warranty extension later. Just be sure to complete the enrollment BEFORE the base warranty is over, else Apple will not honor the extension (all in the fine print). This applies to all devices that offer an AppleCare option: notebooks, desktops, iStuff, etc. -

It should be unopened and in the box. You will need to open the box and go to the website it gives, then enter in your code for AppleCare, and attach it to your device (did it once, for a friend, not me, quite a while ago). I can't remember how you attach it to your device, I'm assuming by the serial number, since that's the only thing on ALL devices that different. -
