No Scenario Defaults for Java Client Preferences?

I am using Java Client in e-load. To access our applications I have to use a proxy and therfore I have to change the Java Client Preferences Proxy Host and Proxy Port. In the Scenario Defaults I can not find Java Client Preferences. What can I do to change the Settings only one time and not every time when I run a script?

If you have the latest e-Test Suite version 8.20 you can modify these settings in Scenario Defaults-> Java Client Preferences section. This download is available here on the QA Zone.

If instead you decide to modify the JavaAgent.Properties file, you must remember to modify the same file on all your agent machines. You JA properties file settings are not distributed from the eload controller to all your agent machines.

    Hi,
    with Http Test Client you post your messages
    directly to the Integration Engine (not using adapter framework)
    so you can use Http Test Client to simulate any message

  • Setting OD Home Directory as default for Windows clients

    Hi all,
    I am trying to configure a lab of PCs (XP SP3) to authenticate and use Network homes from a Leopard Server. So far I have bound the PCs to the PDC and have them authenticating to OD. The only problem I have is that the Desktop, My Documents, etc. are all being saved locally rather than to the Network Home. I obviously need to do some redirection of the folders but don't know how.
    Can anybody help???

    Hi, we have been doing a similar setup and this thread (which goes onto another ) helped greatly!
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2014572&tstart=30
    We still get odd errors with some files on the windows side so be warned!
    cheers

    I tried my Java Client program with rmi approach.
    In my program
    java.net.URL url = ClassLoader.getSystemResource("context.properties");
    return null for url, and the program stopped at
    props.load(url.openStream());
    Should I define the system properties somewhere before I run the client program, so that the url would not be null?

  • Catching SOAPException at Java Client

    We have a 3 tier application where in Front End is in Java , Middle layer is in SOAP deployed using Systinet Server for c++ and backend is in DCE( Distributed Computing Environment ) .
    We are calling DCE specific RPC through a SOAP Services, now when a specific DCERPC fails, SOAP Server binary crashes and on Front end Java , only Temporary delays error message gets displayed.
    SOAP Java Client code files are generated using WSDL , now at SOAPServer CPP exception is written using inbuilt Systinet Exception handling mechanism
    and the same has to be caught at the Java side.
    In CPP side , the code for Trims
         if (ret_status != rpc_s_ok) {
              dce_ret = 0;
         WASP_GenericFaultException * gen_exc = new WASP_GenericFaultException("DCE ERROR - calling WF_ListWuClnt() RPC");
              WASP_VString reason = "RPC Failure, return status = " + ret_status;
    gen_exc->setReason(reason, "en");
    throw gen_exc;
    Now for Java Client , we have written a custom exception class as below
    public class TrimsCustomException extends javax.xml.soap.SOAPException
         public String msgId;
         public     String msgText;
         public TrimsCustomException()
                   //Default Constructor
         public TrimsCustomException(String Id,String Txt)
                   this.msgId=Id;
                   this.msgText=Txt;
         public String getMsgId()
                   return msgId;
         public String getMessage()
                   return msgText;
    Still is there any better way to catch the exception ?

    here is the following code :
         public byte[] marshall()
              StringBuffer payload = new StringBuffer("<?xml version=\'1.0\' encoding=\'UTF-8\'?>");
              payload.append("<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:xsd=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema\" xmlns:soap=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\">");
              payload.append("<soap:Body>");
              payload.append("<Bonjour xmlns=\"http://tempuri.org/\">");
              payload.append("<strName>elise</strName>");
              payload.append("</Bonjour>");
              payload.append("</soap:Body>");
              payload.append("</soap:Envelope>\r\n");
              System.out.println(payload.toString());
              return payload.toString().getBytes();
    AND FOR THE CONNECTION :
    URL endpoint = new URL("http://biztalk:8080/PCS_Integration/SynchronizeProfiles.asmx");
              URLConnection con = endpoint.openConnection ();
              con.setDoInput (true);
              con.setDoOutput (true);
              con.setUseCaches (false);
              con.setAllowUserInteraction(false);
              con.setRequestProperty ("Content-Length", Integer.toString (request.length));
              con.setRequestProperty ("Content-Type", "text/xml; charset=utf-8");
              con.setRequestProperty ("SOAPAction", "\"http://tempuri.org/WS_UpdateProfileAgency\"");
              OutputStream out = con.getOutputStream ();
              out.write (request);
              out.flush ();
              out.close();
                   InputStream in = con.getInputStream();
    //then parse the xml result
    hope it can help you

  • Need to communicate c server on linux & java client on windows

    Hi!! I am new to socket programing in both C and Java.
    From let I downloaded some client server example for c and java and tried that to link !! (I allways learn this way , and I need to do that little urget )
    though cient server in linux is working perfectly fine and same for java. But problem is when I tried to communicate C server on linux and java client on windows, I end up with getting some junk characters. Though they are connected successfully.
    Here goes code for java client:
    package whatever;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    public class Requester{
         Socket requestSocket;
         ObjectOutputStream out;
         ObjectInputStream in;
         String message;
         Requester(){}

                   System.out.println("Connected to localhost in port 2004");
                   //2. get Input and Output streams
                   out = new ObjectOutputStream(requestSocket.getOutputStream());
                   out.flush();
                   in = new ObjectInputStream(requestSocket.getInputStream());
                   System.out.println("above do");
                   //3: Communicating with the server

    hii!! just trying to make it a little more explinatory
    1) what I am trying to accomplish by the above code is: - just need to echo/print from the Server , message send by the Client. I know code is not that good but should be able to perform this basic operation( according to me ).You are wrong. I told you that it won't work as long as you are using ObjectOutputStream and ObjectInputStream. You shouldn't write objects.
    2) Message sent by the client is "hello world"(hard coded).No, it's not. You are writing a serialized byte array.
    3) what I am getting at the client end is "*message recieved: ur*" (before that It shows the Ip of client machine)
    It should print "hello world ".See above.
    You are having a problem, and I have told you what the problem is.hey I dont know what went wrong but . I posted all this just next to my first post ...before you posted !!
    And hard coded byte array includes "hello world"...may be I am not able to explain properly.

  • Java client proxies

    Hi all,
         Can any body tell what are various steps we need to fallow for java client proxies?  I have created T.S. web as java, B.S. web as java (for java proxies)
    I am taking help from https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a068cf2f-0401-0010-2aa9-f5ae4b2096f9
    /people/rashmi.ramalingam2/blog/2005/06/25/an-illustration-of-java-server-proxy
    But I am confusing the steps in the Netweaver Development studio. Please explain Step by Step and purpose of the step.
    Your help is not forgettable.

    for your reference, some steps in NDS
    1.     J2EE Perspective -> Package Explorer
    2.     Project -> J2EE -> EJB module Project
    3.     In Package Explorer, Right Click and goto Properties -> Java Build Path -> Add external Libraries and add the JAR files
    4.     Right click EJB module, import the proxy generated
    5.     Rename Impl file -> Java
    6.     Write the code
    7.     J2EE Explorer -> Expand EJB candidates -> PortTypeBean right click -> add to EJB JAR. Xml
    8.     If Error try going to package explorer and close and opening again
    9.     Go back to J2EE Explorer , right click and build EJB archive
    10.     New EA Project
    11.     Edit application J2EE engine source code
    12.     Build application archive
    13.     Package explorer -> copy EAR file and use

    Hi,
    I think that for PSE 12, you may need to switch to Windows Live Mail
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=29224
    You may find that you then also need the following fix.
    Freeze or error “There is no email program” | Share via email | Elements Organizer | Windows 7
    I think that the problem is that the new versions of PSE do not know where to look for the mail client.

  • Java client for OSB service

    Hi All,
    We have to talk to OSB11g proxy service which is created as Any Soap service (url: http://myosb.firmname.com:7001/osb-ws)
    I have java client applications which need to consume this proxy service built on top of OSB by providing the necessary inputs.
    Typically we get wsdl url's and then we use Jdeveloper to create web service client proxies to generate client side web service artifacts and call the web service.
    But I am confused here as to how can I get a handle to the OSB service from a java client. The OSB developers on the project tell me they don't have and cannot provide a WSDL based URL.
    What are the general practices for consuming OSB proxy service from java client apps. Google search result did not yield much help.
    Please let me know your thoughts.
    Regards,

    Hi Anuj,
    Thanks for reply. As u guys mentioned that about the URL I have rechecked the URL and realized the port number which I was using that was Admin Server Port while environment contains two servers Admin and Managed both. I have change the Port Number from Admin to Managed now its hitting the Service but now another problem I start facing that I need to pass a big XML as input request to that OSB Proxy Service. I have two different code where I am attaching the input request in two different ways but none of them is passing that request to URL and in both cases I am getting default response from URL.

    When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive.  It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?  I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

  • How to deal with credentials for external applications using a Java Client/

    Hi Guys,
    This is the case. I am integrating an external application with an ADF Application. I have implemented some programmatic ViewObjects that are being filled up by a REST Java Client Wrapper. Everything is working fine but the issue is that the credentials the wrapper is using are hard coded inside the java class. I am thinking to ask for the credentials at the beginning of my taskflow and then store them somewhere and use them then to create my client wrapper (passing them in the constructor).
    However, I don't know if my approach is good and I would like you to share your experiences or how to deal with this.
    Regards

    You can use Credential Store Framework to store the credentials securely in the weblogic server instead of hardcoding in the java class.
    The Credential Store Framework:
    - enables you to manage credentials securely
    - provides an API for storage, retrieval, and maintenance of credentials in different back-end repositories
    Check the documentation on CSF API -
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29505_01/core.1111/e10043/devcsf.htm
    Major Steps -
    1. Create a credential map and key in em console to store the password (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25054_01/core.1111/e10043/csfadmin.htm)
    2. Use CSF API to retrieve the stored password
    3. In jazn-data.xml give permissions to access CSF key and map

  • Java clients and IUserPrincipal class not working for authentication

    I'm developing a Java client which talks to EJBs on the iAS server via
    iiop.
    I've already developed EJBs, and they work fine. I'm trying to do user
    authentication per the examples in the Rich Client section.
    Here are the steps I've taken:
    1. I've created a class (achp.security.AchpPrincipal) which implements
    com.netscape.ejb.client.IUserPrincipal.
    2. I've added the class to the initial context via the following line:
    env.put("com.netscape.ejb.client.PrincipalClass",
    "achp.security.AchpPrincipal");
    3. I do a home lookup with the above initial context when the
    application starts, create a bean, and then invoke a method on the bean.
    When I do the home lookup, according to the manual, my AchpPrincipal
    class should be instantiated (which brings up a login window which then
    records username and password for future use).
    This never happens. The AchpPrincipal class is never instantiated,
    although the home lookup occurs successfully and the bean method call is
    also performed successfully.
    I'm running server on my Win2K desktop, with SP3. And, of course, I've
    properly installed the CXS server (as indicated by the fact that I can
    communicate with the EJBs at all though the Java client).
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Java client for calling a XI web service

    Hello,
    does anyone have created a Java client
    with Apache Axis? I tried it and it works
    for web service which aren't provided by
    SAP XI, but if I use to call a XI web service
    something went wrong.
    The XI web service works. I tested it with
    XML Spy.
    I think there must be something special with
    XI web service.
    So anyone got a tutorial/guide for this???
    thanks
