No templates in titler CS5
Hi there!
Took the plunge last week. Still getting everything converted and set up, but so far so good. Except.....I just tried to access the templates for lower thirds and there are none. I've already installed the library content download. I've got my library in Encore.
Any ideas?
Jessica
I guess I am SOL unless I pay more money. Looks like I'll just have to keep making my own. Time for me to get over it.

I created a website layout template in Photoshop cs5 once i opened it into Dreamweaver i was trying to Align it to Center but it would not go center still stays to the left. I know that something is not right i am missing something and i am new to this not much experience with Dreamweaver, can someone please tell me how to fix this issue in a way a beginner would understand, i greatly appreciate the help.
Did you export HTML from PShop? Graphics apps generated code is not suitable for real web pages. It's really only acceptable for quick comps to show the client before you undertake the real work of building the layout in DW with HTML & CSS code.
To center pages, you need 3 basic things.
A valid doc type declaration on the first line of your code.
A stated width in px, % or ems.
A margin-left and margin-right of auto.
Copy & paste this code into a new, blank document in DW. Save and preview in browsers.

Looking for a simple flip book template for Flash CS5
Hi, I'm looking for a simple flip book template for Flash CS5 for a 20 page brochure/ booklet. Or a tutorial. Does anyone know of one?
Thanks!Hi Mark,
No need to restrict your choice to the preset Pages Templates. Do a web search and choose a Word template. Pages will open Word documents and templates. Or design your own:
This is a Table I inserted into a blank Pages Word Processing document. Format the date column in Inspector > Table > Format > Cell Format. Select the first Date cell,then drag the fill handle down to increment the dates.

I can't make an editable template in dreamweaver CS5 help!
Here is my problem. I insert an editable region, and that works just fine. However, when trying to create a page from this template, I can't edit the CSS. Normally, I click the area of the CSS I want to edit, and go to modify>templates>make attribute editable. When I create a page, nothing is editable. I'm lost.
Here is the code I'm using so far: (I have not added a 'make attribute editable' in this code yet) Thanks!

Problem playing an imported flash template in dreamweaver cs5
hi,i just downloaded a flash template from flashmo.com and imported it to dreamweaver cs5 through Insert > media > SWF and it loaded. but the problem is, when i click the live view or play the file in the properties,nothing shows up.except some texts "loading XML data..."
all the flash templates i have downloaded face this prob. i have no idea where is the mistake.
what could be the problem?any help,plz.From their website:
" Adobe Flash (version 8 or higher) is required to edit the
FLA file.

Do you own Flash? Are you familliar with action scripts? If
not, then you
probably want to start with a plain html template and learn
how to code html
and CSS. Flash sites look nice but they are not friendly for
Search Engines
or users who don't have flash player installed on their
system.

I edit files with DW in WYSIWYG mode and leave the title
section on the template empty so that I can insert a specific title
for each page. However, everytime I edit the template and update
hte other files the Titles on the files disappears.
Is there anyway to avoid this so that the titles of each page
does not have to be re-entered everytime you edit the
template?YOur template has not been properly made if this is
happening. Try creating
a NEW template from a blank page using FILE | Save As
Template... Make the
title tag in your current template look like the one in the
new template by
manually adding the required editable region. If you also
will want to add
behaviors to these pages you will also need to copy the
editable region
called "head".

Using Liquid HTML5 templates in Dreamweaver CS5
I have a page I've been working on created in a DWCS5 template and I'm having trouble with the left side of the page. There are 3X 1080P videos (an ogg, a webm and a mp4) set to run but when they open they aren't centered, instead they have something shifting them slightly to the right. I'd like these to be directly centered?
http://losangelesbillsbackers.com/video.html
On another note, I am good on every browser tested so far except Firefox- it shows the poster image with an error code saying no video with a supported format or MIME is available, but my understanding is that the OGG should work fine with Firefox?
Any help is greatly appreciated-See my reply in your other thread.
Adding MP4 video to a page created in DW CS5
Use Ctrl+-(minus) a few times to zoom out. You'll see the page is actually centered on larger displays. 1080 video occupies too much space which makes it appear off-center on smaller displays.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I would like to use some of the preset templates for a project I am working on. When I try and open them in the programme they are not there, but when I look in Applications>Presets, they are on my Mac. Probably being a numpty but can't seem to transfer them. Any help greatly received.
Hi Ann
Thanks for that, I already looked at that page. I bought my copy of Creative Suite CS5 as discs so the templates are actually already on my Mac in Applications>PP>Presets>Templates they just aren't in the actual program when opened. I don't know how to get them to appear in the program. When looked at the link you posted before it seems to be only for CS6. -
I have created a template and DW CS4 has automatically placed
the page title in the non-editable region of the document. When I
create any pages using the template it will not allow me to rename
them. How do I fix this?
ChrisThis is the sign of an improperly made template.
Do this -
Create a new page (Basic HTML).
Use FILE | Save as Template....
Look at the code in the head region of the page, particularly
the editable
region around the <title> tag, and the other editable
region in the head
called "head".
Make your template file look like that.
Always use FILE | Save as Template when you create your
templates and you
won't have this problem again.

You have issues I'd rather somebody else helped with but this

Output Module Template missing - AE CS5
Recently installed After Effects CS5 -- on every startup of the program, I get an error message:
"You have at least one output module template that refers to a missing output plug-in. Please check your Output Module Templates." Accepting this prompt leads to another:
"Adobe After Effects CS5 would like to make changes. Please type your [admin] password to allow this." Which I do, which leads the program to:
"Installing Additional File Formats and Effects" -- which takes up to 6 minutes per startup to finish (a pretty debilitating delay to my overall workflow). Once this installation is complete, and I try to open a project, it says:
"After Effects has installed additional file formats and effects. Would you like to quit After Effects so they are available?" But quitting and restarting AE CS5 only goes back to the start of this whole process over again.
How do I solve this, and get out of the infinite loop? Thanks for any suggestions!Strange - I understand what you're implying, but the entire CS5 Master Collection was installed directly from an Adobe download with fresh, complete and legitimate serial key from Adobe. Thanks for your response, but I'm not sure that's it. There have been other users with this issue whose solutions had to do with firewall permissions and/or third-party QuickTime plug-ins, neither of which do I have.

Template Chooser titles covered by template reflection
I am a new Mac user and recently purchased Pages. Upon opening the app, the template chooser opens up. In the videos, you can clearly see the titles of each template in a white font with a faint reflection of the template behind. What I see is a big block of white covering the white template names, so I can't read the names at all. Does anyone know the best way to fix this? Maybe just uninstall and reinstall? Thanks in advance!
Meg,
What I see here is this:
Can you post a screen shot of what you have there? We might be able to tell what is going on.

I've transferred all my sites to cs5 (from cs4). I build all my sites with DW templates. When I bring up my pages from any site in DW cs4, I can edit them no problem. When I bring them up in cs5, all of a sudden I have the "no-edit" symbol (red circle crossed) when I try to type over any editable areas. Is there a setting that I am missing that I forgot to readjust when I loaded the files in cs5?
Thanks in advance
JulesI think I'm talking to myself, here...
But just in case anyone has run into this problem with cs5...
I usually create editable regions with content alone (minus divs). It seems that cs5 won't allow this somehow. I do this so that my clients won't move the div and can highlight the text that they want to change without screwing up the placement of the divs or having to click on it several times in Contribute in order to highlight the text.
Example: (This one works)
<!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="LeftContent" -->
<div id="contentLeft">
<table width="100%" border="0" align="left" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" background="images/transBack.png">
<tr><td>
<h1>Heading Goes Here</h1>
No fastidii scaevola maiestatis mei, percipit praesent abhorreant eam no. Ea vim nobis dolore ignota, quodsi inciderint ei vel. Velit dicam te cum, te inermis principes percipitur per, animal constituam his an.</p>
</td></tr>
</table>
</div>
<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
(This one doesn't)
<div id="contentLeft">
<!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="LeftContent" -->
<table width="100%" border="0" align="left" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" background="images/transBack.png">
<tr><td>
<h1>Heading Goes Here</h1>

<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
</div>
Anyone else have this? Or even use this?

Where can I download the template libraries for CS5 Production Premium
I have recently downloaded CS5 Production Premium but noticed that there are no default template libraries for things like Menu presets in Encore etc.
Can anyone tell me where I can download this file from, as when I asked Adobe telephone support they couldn't give me a specific address or file name.I think you'll get much better answers asking in the particlar forum for the application that you're wanting templates for. To get to the forum home page where you can choose them look at the "breadcrumbs" near the top of this page.
