No use giving weblogic.jar *.java

still getting compilation errors on giving javac -classpath weblogic.jar *.java on the prompt C:\bea\user_projects\applications\Untitled4\Untitled4Web\WEB-INF\src\pooja
i tried giving this command on C:\bea\user_projects\applications\Untitled4\Untitled4Web\WEB-INF where weblogic.jar is actually there,i tried setting envoirment variable also by adding a new classpath C:\bea\user_projects\applications\Untitled4\Untitled4Web\WEB-INF\ ,but in vain same compilation errors occur.
POOJA

Hi,
Your best bet is to let weblogic.jar where it is, probably :
C:\bea\weblogicXXX\server\lib
Then move your prompt to the root of your sources (C:\bea\user_projects\applications\Untitled4\Untitled4Web\WEB-INF\src?) .
And type :
javac -classpath C:\bea\weblogicXXX\server\lib\weblogic.jar pooja\*.java

  • Using a weblogic.jar class to estimate number of web app users

    Hi,
I'm trying to somehow estimate the number of people using a particular web app
deployment in Weblogic Server 6.1 SP3. Though I know that sessions are stateless,
there must be some way of getting an idea aboout usage mustn't there?! Any ideas
on how and which class to look at in weblogic.jar would be much appreciated.

    Robert:
So I get kind of tired writing stuff up and sending it out on newsgroups and
then not being able to go back and find the text and link to it as
references in subsequent posts. So I am going to try something different.
    We'll see how this goes.

That approach is a hack and an absolute nightmare. It never worked
completely. I could not get any support for durable subscriptions etc. You
can add this (Thin JMS client) as a request for new feature (but it should
have been available long time ago).

    Hello,
You might want to take a look at the JMS white paper and asociated

  • Jarred .java file, how to use it?

for a naked .java file, we can use -classpath to import it to our source files.
but for a jarred .java file, can we import it into our source file for use?
i tried for few hrs, it is impossible.
if u have used a jarred .java file before, pls give me a hand.
    thx

but for a jarred .java file, can we import it into our source file for use?No. And this has nothing to do with jar files at all. You don't import .java files, you import .class files.

  • How to get InitialContextFactory using RMI/IIOP without using weblogic.jar

    Hi Robert
I know this is an old post. but I am interested in knowing how to get the
initial context using RMI/IIOP without the use weblogic specific classes
like weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory . If you have a code snippet that
you can provide as an example, it would be just great.

answer is no, you will need at least some of the weblogic classes on the

If not, is there a lightweight jar available for distribution for client

Take a look at the RMI/IIOP section of our whitepaper "Small Footprint
Client options for BEA WebLogic Server" at:

  • Principals set empty when wlclient.jar used instead of weblogic.jar

    Hi,
I have a swing client that makes use of JAAS for security.
When I use weblogic.jar in classpath the client works perfectly. But if I use wlclient.jar in classpath the LoginContext.login() is working fine, loginContext.getSubject() is working fine, but subject.getPrincipals() is returning a empty set. I will be using this principals to display different screens for different principals. Does any one what the solution is?
    Thanks in advance
    Danny

With the thin client jars there is no current programmatic way that a client could ever retrieve the principals.
Thin client uses IIOP internally and so this is currently not possible

  • Using word/excel from java (client or weblogic server)

    Hi everybody,
i want to use excel / word functionality from java in two different variants:
    -> serverside
    -> clientside
I tried the weblogic.comc and i got serveral classes but in the remote-package i got only a utitlity-class.
My knowlege about COM is rather bad.
Does anybody did this bevor and
-> can say me, if it is correct, that i only got a utility-class (so how will i use it from the client ?!)
-> has a example for using Excel / Word from Java in bea weblogic
-> has a example for using Excel / Word directly in a client (not via rmi)
    Thanks
    Ciao

Sven, This is a really bad idea. Why don't you tell me
what your trying to do and I wil surely give you a better alternative
