NoClassDefError with jolt and WLS 6.1

I'm trying to access a servlet I made(based on the SimpAppServlet that comes with
jolt)
I successfully installed it successfully on Tomcat3.2.2 and WLS5.1 but am having
difficulty with WLS6.1-beta.
I can compile with no errors but when I try to access it i get the following error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: bea/jolt/pool/ApplicationException
joltjse.jar is in the classpath so that's not the problem.
If anybody has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

solved
The startweblogic.cmd script was resetting the classpath
had to edit before it could recognize the jar file.

  • WebDev Install with JDeveloper and WLS

I'm familiar with the installation of a JDE WebDev Client and now I've been tasked with a JDeveloper 11.1.1.2 and WLS install. Is there any good guides on how to set this up?

    Thank you,
    Al

    Hi Al,
    Try this:
    https://support.us.oracle.com/oip/faces/secure/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1302209.1
This doc explains what components you need to have on a E1 Client that will be used to build and deploy BSSV Packages to a Bus Services Server. The Combination of JDeveloper and WLS probably indicates that you are intending to setup a Bus Services Server. However, this is only supported as of 811SP1.
If you are running 811SP1, the process of setting up a Bus Services Server involves:
    - defining a BSSV instance via Server Manager
    - setting up a E1 Client with JDeveloper that will be used to build and deploy a Business Services Package
The following doc has useful links to the MTRs for Bus Services Server as well as other useful resources on BSSV.

  • Any Experiences with OODBMS and WLS (also Javlin or VEJB)

    Hi guys,
we are evaluating WLS in combination with OODBMS and RDBMS. Has anybody
done this before and want to give us some hints on it. We take a look at
Versant and Object Store versus Oracle 8i. We have to build a high
traffic site with approx. 1000 hits/sec. We intend to modell the
business logic in the EJB Modell. We have to present product-infos, news
etc from a database. There are to pretty new containers out there :
Javlin and VEJB(Versant). Has anybody experience with these products ?
As I learn from this newsgroup there seem to be some performance
problems regarding Entity Beans. I would like to know if this problems
occur with OODBMS or RDBMS or both. Is the Container the bottlenack or
the database ? It seems that from the performance point of view
stateless Session Beans with pooled jdbc-Connections are the best
solution. Is this right. Has anybody put in Java-Instances right in an
OODBMS without involving a container ? What experiences have you made ?
    Thanks for your help
    regards Oliver

    Oliver,
I suggest contacting the ODI or Versant folks. They can provide a wealth of
benchmarks that explain why they're up there in performance with RDBMSes.

  • SSO with OID and WLS 8.1 Web App

    Hi,
I have a web application deployed on WLS 8.1.
I have set up Oracle Custom Authenticator.
Some of my users are stored in Oracle LDAP. I want that if user logs in Web Application deployed on WLS 8.1 and clicks on one link (in my web app) which refers him to go to OID interface, in OID interface he should not be authenticated again (as he is already authenticated by WLS). Please let me know how to resolve this issue with Oracle SSO.
Any help in this regard highly appreciated.
    Thanks

Did you find a solution for this problem?
I have somthing very similar going on where I am currently working.

  • Version incompatibility with UCM and WLS

    Dear All,
    I just have some confusion.
I have installed WLS 10.3.4 and houses the Webcenter 11G PS3 (11.1.14) also.
But when I download the UCM 11GR1, I notice that it says it is not compatible with my Weblogic.
I think I have downloaded the wrong version, I am looking for UCM 11G download to match my already
setup domain but when I check the older release at OTN, i only can find Oracle Universal Content Management 10gR3 Downloads.
Is this the same or is this copatible with my WLS?
    Thanks

    Hi Jose,
This is a known interoperability problem with MS SOAP toolkit, which send what is refered to as untyped request. You have an option to accept untyped request in oc4j - look at section 12.2 of the 10.1.2 Web services guide [http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_04/web.1012/b14027/custom.htm#BABEJDEC]. The tag is <accept-untyped-request> .
    Hope this helps,
    Eric

  • Performance of web services with XMLBeans on WLS 9

We are planning to use XMLBeans extensively for web services development on WLS. Recently another group within our company did a performance study indicating horrible performance with XMLBeans and WLS 9.2 especially when processing long requests (> 1000 xml elements). This puts in question whether XMLBeans with WLS 9.x is actually the right platform for us to build/host a large number of services.
XMLBeans is a highly regarded XML<->Java binding tool as explained in numerous past articles both on Dev2Dev and other technology websites. We also understand that it is an integral technology used by other BEA products such as WLI and Liquid Data.
We are wondering if BEA has any resources/reports on performance of web services (which uses XMLBeans) on WebLogic. Thanks.

    Hi,
We test several frameworks and find out that usually JAXB 2.0 performs better than XMLBeans, but that is not a strict rule.

  • Deployment of SCA composite with Spring and JPA fails on WLS 10.3.3

    Hi,
We want to use JPA as Persistence Layer (EclipseLink as Persistence Provider) in a Spring managed Bean in a SOA Composite (SCA).

We are using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 and WLS 10.3.3 with SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.

We are not sure how to deal with the "WebLogic 10 API classes are not available" message. Is there a lib we have to add to the SCA composite or do we have to change the WLS configuration somehow?

We solved the problem by using the org.springframework.instrument.classloading.oc4j.OC4JLoadTimeWeaver. But we are not sure if this is correct. It at least works so far without any problems...

  • OutOfMemoryException with jolt invoking.

    hi~!
I installed WLS6.1sp1 with Tusxedo and jolt.
Then i started the WLS server, and i met "OutOfMemoryException when invoking jolt".
It was fine when i configured "2" Maximum pool size and "2" Minimum pool size.
But the minimum & maximum pool size

    Hi~~
The heap setting was mx1024m. And the MaxPermSize was 131072k.
I think the reason of the "OutOfMemoryException" is related with the kernel parameter.
(the machine is HPUX 11i - superdome.)
But I have no idea how do i set the kerenl paremeters and about the exact relation
    between memory and kernel parameters
And when i set the kernel parameters, is there any basis or canons or standards?
    Plz give me some ideas....
    thansk for your concern...
    peace~!

  • I am a beginer on Tuxedo/Jolt and learn it

I am a beginer on Tuxedo/Jolt and learn it from tutorials bankapp. I try to
use Jolt for WLS 5.1 to access Tuxedo7.1. Does anybody try
examples.jolt.ejb.bankapp before and tell me what to do to config and run
Tuxedo/Joltis on NT? Do I have to run Tuxedo with bankapp in C?
    Thanks in advance

I have the same issue and have been told this same advice.
Have also been told that I should just be able to right click in iTunes on the apple tv, and use "transfer purchases" etc...
nothing works (but from what I see, many people have this issue).
I've got an older generation Apple TV with this content on it that I cannot move to my Mac and want to replace it with a modern Apple TV. Ofcourse this would mean losing about $200 worth of content that can be shifted...
Anyone know if I can talk to Apple and see if these selected titles can be redownloaded onto my Mac (from their servers, not the AppleTV). I assume they can see the content on my AppleTV so could confirm that I already and legally own them..
    *sigh*

  • 870A Fuzion Power has problem with keyboard and mouse movement only in games.

    Hey guys,
recently built a new system and chose to go with the 870A Fuzion Power mainboard, everything has gone very smoothly execpt for one problem, only when I play games like Crysis 2 ect the mouse seems to jolt around now and again and the keyboard decides to stop responding if I hold down the movement keys, and this is only in game not surfing the web for example. Now, I am using a wireless mouse and keyboard but I plugged in a PS/2 keyboard and the exact same thing happened. I've installed all of the drivers that came with this board and the drivers for the mouse and keyboard. Any of you guys ever had this sort of problem or know how to fix this?
    Thanks.

I bought a new Macbook pro in june 2010, I didn't have any keyboard or mouse issues prior to upgrading to 10.6.4 supposedly this update was made to fix some issues with keyboard and mouse becoming unresponsive. For me the opposite happened. after the upgrade, my keyboard and mouse (trackpad) becomes sometimes partially unresponsive or totally unresponsive. the only way to solve the problem is by completely turning of the computer and turning back on.. granted it doesn't happen very often.. generally once every about 2-3 weeks but it is still annoying though..
I didn't have a chance to use the computer too much on the previous version (10.6.3) so I don't know if it is software related or hardware related.. any thoughts?

  • Hot delpoyment with TopLink and Stateless Session Beans

What is the recommended procedure for making hot deployment of Stateless session beans work with toplink in WLS 7.0sp1 and oc4j (9.0.3)
My current setup is as follows using WLS 7.0sp1:
A stateless session bean is accessing toplink enabled persistent java classes via the SessionManager. I'm currently using the class loader of the stateless session bean:
    * Method in stateless session bean
    * Return the TopLink Session (based on the wls stateless session bean demo)
    public Server getSession() {
              return (Server)SessionManager.getManager().getSession("ejb_sessionbean", this.getClass().getClassLoader());
Everything is working as such. My session bean can read and write the persistent java classes. However if I redeploy the stateless session bean jar file the toplink session is not reinitalized. This means that new settings in the session.xml are not used. I addition I get other errors.
I'm having toplink on the server classpath. The toplink enabled persistent classes are in the stateless session bean jar file.
    Thanks
    Henrik

This is a recent post note I found on the same topic:
It all hinges on whether the TopLink ServerSession class has
been loaded by a classloader which is actually thrown away
during the hot deployment process. If this is the case, then
hot deployment causes the ServerSession to go out of scope
and finalize methods take care of logging it out properly.
If you deploy your TopLink Project on the Sytem class path then
it definately won't work. You'd have to restart the server every time.
But if the TopLink Project is deployed inside of an .ear file
and if you pass the correct ClassLoader to the
SessionManager.getSession( .... ) call then TopLink Session will
be re-started when you hot deploy the .earBased on this, the solution might be to deploy your EJBs in an ear file. Everything else looks OK. Can you try this and let us know?

  • GenerationType.AUTO doesn't work correctly with Kodo and MySQL

    Greetings,
I'm migrating applications from JBoss/Hibernate to WebLogic/Kodo. The following column annotation:
    @Id
    @Column(name="CUSTOMER_ID")
    @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO)
    public long getCustomerId()
is supposed to generate auto-increment primary key in mysql. This is what happens with Hibernate. With Kodo, this seems to be equivalent with GenerationType.TABLE as a table named openjpa_sequence_table is created, containing sequence values. So what should one do in order to be able to use true auto-increment strategy with MySQL and Kodo ?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas,
By setting the generation strategy to AUTO, you're essentially letting the JPA provider choose which strategy to use. It looks like Kodo is using the TABLE strategy by default and Hibernate is using the IDENTITY strategy here. You can set the strategy to IDENTITY if you want Kodo to behave similarly to Hibernate. However, it's worth pointing out that there may be a reason for Kodo not using the IDENTITY strategy by default.
    The docs at: http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/kodo/full/html/ref_guide_pc_oid.html#ref_guide_pc_oid_pkgen_autoinc
    point out the following:
"Statements inserting into tables with auto-increment / identity columns cannot be batched. After each insert, Kodo must go back to the database to retrieve the last inserted auto-increment value to set back in the persistent object. This can have a negative impact on performance. "
