  • Unable to start MS NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/sip/tools/SipToolsFactory

    Hi Folks,
    I really need ur assistance on this, I am failing to start my weblogic managed server which is on WL 10.3.4 and hosted on Windows 2008R2 server.
    I am getting the below exception:
    <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1365769487402> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/sip/tools/SipToolsFactory

         at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:207)
         at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:176)

    Now the I dont want to use the SIP and have done the following:
    1. Disabled the SIP from my Weblogic Console and restarted the Admin Server
    2. Modified my init script from
    <setenv name="WLSS_HOME">
    <value>E:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3/sip</value>
    </setenv>
         <setenv name="SIP_ENABLED">
              <value>true</value>
         </setenv>
    to
    <setenv name="WLSS_HOME">
    <value>E:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3/sip</value>
         </setenv>
              <setenv name="SIP_ENABLED">
              <value>false</value>
                   </setenv>
    3. Modified my class paths so SIP wont be called.
    Now the interesting part, actually this setup is a running setup and I have installed it from scratch..The thing here is it might sound silly....But the weblogic still picks up the Classpath for SIP during startup, be it via node manger or even on the server.
    <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000395> <Following extensions directory contents added to the end of the classpath:
    E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\DOMAIN_XYZ\lib\sipactivator.jar>
    <BEA-002647> <The service plugin, com.oracle.core.sip.activator, was added from E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\DOMAIN_XYZ\lib\sipactivator.jar.>
    If you see its a extension lib file, now my query without deleting the file from the extension lib how can i get rid of it.
    Hope someone can help me out.
    Thanks

    Hi Kishore,
    Thanks for the update, but I had already done those changes, please find my current config.xml but I noticed one thing when I restart my weblogic instance it creates a new config.xml with a name like this config.xml and it doesnt reflect the original config.xml which I am trying to use. I some how feel that the config.xml is being picked up while stating the instance instead of the original config.xml.
    I am placing both of them below with the respective names.
    config.xml (the one i am trying to use)
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

    NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/management/configuration/KernelDebugMBean : weblogic/management/configuration/DebugMBean
    I'm getting this error when trying to run a test of a web service developed with Axis outside of WLP.
    weblogic.jar is in my classpath, and contains that class. So, I suspect there is some other class that might be missing. I've tried adding every .jar I can find from WLP to my classpath to no avail.

    Hi Tim,
    Pls always mention WLP version for a question.
    Looks like there has been a change in the class "KernelDebugMBean" between WLP 9.2 and WLP 10.0
    9.2: public interface KernelDebugMBean extends weblogic.management.configuration.DebugMBean
    "http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/javadocs_mhome/index.html"
    10.0
    public interface KernelDebugMBean
    "http://edocs.beasys.co.jp/e-docs/wls/docs100/javadocs_mhome/index.html?weblogic/management/configuration/KernelDebugMBean.html"
    Not really sure. Something is messy about DebugMBean superclass.
    Might a BEA support question
    Thanks

  • WebLogic 9.2 MP1 - NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/xml/domimpl/Saver

    Hello,
    I'm currently experiencing the following error in our production WebLogic environment. Curiously, the same WAR file deploys and works fine on our QA and STAGE servers. I must admit that my debugging knowledge of WebLogic is limited, but I have checked the obvious things (same version of WebLogic on all servers, same JAR files present on all, etc).
    The error occurs when trying to generate a WSDL for a web service. The error is as follows:

    Hey Sam,
    Are you using the same kinda startup means ?
    (NodeManager / Regular Scripts)
    If you created your application the same way on all environments, you could try to use the script from QA to production (means you'll have to do it by night :) ) or in the other way : try your production startup script in the QA env.
    Else, the good old-fashioned way : compare both config.xml with WinCompare or BeyondCompare or anything that does the job.
    Make also sure you don't have any XML Registry declared and that your domain/lib directories look alike.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Raj,
    Could you provide more information from the log; is there a full
    traceback. A first step may be to use the latest service pack [1].
    Also you might try your question in the management newsgroup [2] or
    contact our outsanding support group [3].
    Hope this is of some value,

    I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, 8gigs
    Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 the studio edition with embedded jdk
    I can start the integrated appserver outside of jdev using the cmd script that is supplied but it fails to run if I kick it off from inside of jdeveloper.

  • NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/ejb/container/ejbc/codegen/MethodSignature

    I'm trying to call a WLS-hosted ejb from a stand-alone java client. My client has wlthint3client.jar in its classpath.
    This seems to work for a different client (making a different ejb call).
    The MethodSignature class is in weblogic.jar of the server. If it is needed on the client, should it be retrieved automatically from the server?

    Yes, it works fine with wlfullclient.jar. But I am trying to avoid forcing the user to get a 60MB jar file to run 10 lines of code. Since my other client/ejb works fine with only wlthint3client.jar, I'm trying to figure out what is different with this client/ejb.

              at this point)
              has loaded classes from the rt set of jars.
              Am I missing something fundamental? what should I be looking for?

              Use the command java -classpath <weblogic class dir>:<dir>/weblogicaux.jar -keep
              generated filename.jsp
              You say you typed weblogic.jspc, but the error message says weblogic.jsp - somebody's
              made a mistake.

    Again you need to make a difference between what runs within the weblogic container to what runs in a vanilla JVM. Understanding this is crucial to your problem.
    1. web service -> client -> another web service
    The webservice will always run within the weblogic container and you should never get the ClassnotFound because weblogic.jar is always available there. Any subsequent clients loaded into the same JVM will presumably be in the same classloader and wont have problems either
    2. client -> web service;
    If you are using a standalone client in a JVM you shouldnt have any dependency on weblogic and commons-httpclient will work just fine as would commons-logging. However if you include some weblogic jars in the classpath, when you launch the client JVM you would need to include the jars mentioned in the other post because they reference other weblogic classes. But this isn't necessary if you just clean up your classpath to only have the jars you need.
