Node Event Handler

Hi,
I am using com.sleepycat.db.EventHandlerAdapter to capture the environment related events. What scenarios trigger the "handlePanicEvent"?
Deleting some files from the database folder when the environment is still up and running causes PANIC_ERROR in ReplicationConfiguration. But it does not trigger the "handlePanicEvent" method?
In case of replication, if Master node database folder is tampered, the master node becomes unusable and needs a recovery or restart with fresh database. Is there a event broadcast to replicas when master is inactive due to PANIC eror?
Thanks
Priya

Hello,
handlePanicEvent is triggered when a Berkeley DB method throws a RunRecoveryException. This indicates that the database environment has failed,
and that all threads of control in the database environment should exit
the environment and that recovery should be run.
Thanks,
Sandra

  • Making a cutsom event handler for nodes

    hi i was wondering how to go about making a custom eventhandler class for nodes
    for eg. if a have a circle (c1) in the main.fx file
    and i want to assign it Mouse and Key events(using onMousePressed etc)
    but i dont want to write it in "c1"'s definiton directly coz i want the event handling code to be useful for another circle i may create later(call it c2)
    can some tell me how to go about it ?
    Appreciated. :-)
    UPDATE:
    ok i just realized that i could simply write a modified Circle class extending the Circle class.
    So i can just create a new modified Circle object when needed.But how do i exactly write the class.The fixed variables i can simply override.But what about the event handling properties of the circle,how do i make sure they are initialzed for that object when the modified Circle object is created? what is the syntax??

    hey i tried making a circle class like the above..
    drag works fine..
    thing is.. i've nested some effects..which "SHOULD" toggle on on keypresses ,but even though the key press is detected..effects dont appear..
    public class modCircle extends Circle{
    var c1e2:Glow;
    var c1e4:Reflection=Reflection {bottomOpacity:0.0 topOpacity:0.5
                                 fraction: 0.75 topOffset: 0.0};
         override var centerX=40;
         override var centerY=199;
         override var radius=40 ;
         override var fill= Color.BLACK;
         override var effect=c1e2=Glow {level:0.1 input:c1e4};
    override def onMouseEntered= function( e: MouseEvent )
                              {requestFocus();}
    override def onKeyPressed= function (e: KeyEvent): Void
                               if(e.code==KeyCode.VK_G)
                                   if(c1e2.level==0.1)
                                    {c1e2.level=0.9}
                                   else
                                    {c1e2.level=0.1}
                                 if(e.code==KeyCode.VK_M)
                                   if(c1e4.topOpacity==0.5)
                                     c1e4.fraction= 0.75;c1e4.topOffset= 0.0;
                                     c1e4.topOpacity= 0.5;c1e4.bottomOpacity= 0.0;
                                   else

                                     c1e4.topOpacity= 0.5;c1e4.bottomOpacity= 0.0;

  • Action Event Handler on Tree nodes

    I have an actionListener event handler registered on a tree node as follows:
    <af:tree value="#{bindings.SomeViewObj1.treeModel}" var="node" rowSelection="none" id="t1"
    binding="#{EditFormBean.tree1}" displayRow="selected" summary="Tree"
    partialTriggers=":::cb1 :::cb2">
    <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl3">
    <af:outputText value="#{node}" id="ot1"/>
    <af:commandImageLink text="E" id="cil3" partialSubmit="true"
    *actionListener="#{EditFormBean.onEdit}"* binding="#{EditFormBean.cmdImageLink}">
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{node.hiertType.structureDefName}" type="action"
    to="#{viewScope.formView}"/>
    <f:attribute name="node" value="#{node}"/>
    </af:commandImageLink>
    <af:commandImageLink text="A" id="cil1"/>
    <af:commandImageLink text="D" id="cil2"/>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </f:facet>
    </af:tree>
    I have at each node stamp facet a panelGroup Layout that contains the node value and a command Image link. The tree has two hierarchical levels. When I press the command Image link on the first tree noe level, the actioListener method in teh managed bean (EditFormBean.onEdit) gets called. When I press the same commandImage link on the second tree level, the same action listener does not get called. I need to get past this problem before I code the actionListener which needs to set the current row in the iterator based on the key selected on the tree node. I simply have a print statement in the action listener method which shows something when the first level command image link is clicked but does not print anything when the second level command image link is clicked.
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0
    There is also adf faces code around this snippet that uses an af:switcher facea component to display the appropriate form based on the nodee level in which the comman d image link is clicled but it is irrelevant to the problem I am getting.
    Any help on that would be appreciated

    Hi,
    hard to say . Didn't see this before. Can yoiu remove "binding="#{EditFormBean.cmdImageLink}"" from the command link. The tree stamps its children so that it doesn't make sense to keep a handle to the component instance

  • Event handling in Network UI element in Webdynpro

    Hi ,
       I am developing a hierarchial graph using Network UI element.I want to incorporate event handling so that the graph will respond to user actions like on double clicking a node an URL will be opened.I can notproceed with the event handling.
                         Can anyone tell me the procedure to do this from webdynpro java.
    Regards
    Nayeem

    Hi Nayeem,
    The Network UI element has lots of events defined for it which can be handled to get the desired functionality.
    Go to the View in which you have added the Network Element, select the Element and go to the
    properties tab.
    Under events , you can see a list of events defined for this UI element.
    Select the event you wish to handle and press the Create button which gets visible once
    an event say onNodeSelected is selected
    You can then give a name to the action say UserClicked and save it .
    In the properties tab of the UI element , the action will be registed against the event .
    Now select the event again and press the go button.
    It will redirect you to the java editor of the view where in you can place your event handling logic.
    Alternatively, if you have created the UI element dynamically then you can add the event to the UI element by using the following code
    IWDNetwork network = (IWDNetwork)view.createElement(IWDNetwork.class);
    network.setOnNodeSelected(/*Your Action handler already defined in the View*/);

  • Repository event handler doesn't work when inserting an xml-doc via ftp

    Hi,
    I want to add a 'schemaLocation'-attribute to an XML-document when I load it in the repository. Therefore, I use the precreate-repository event and created a Repository Event Handler (see code extract below).
    Everything works fine if I type the following code in SQL Plus:
    Declare
    v_return BOOLEAN;
    Begin
    v_return:=DBMS_XDB.createresource('/public/xml/test.xml', XMLType(bfilename('XMLDIR', 'test.xml'),nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8')));
    end;Unfortunately, when I try to insert an XML-document via ftp into the /public/xml folder it doesn´t work as expected and no 'schemaLocation'-attribute is added to the new resource.
    What's the reason for this strange behavior and how can I solve it?
    For your information: I use the Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0

  • Event Handler Exception

    Hi Friends,
    I am trying to call a BAPI from a webdynpro application when a user
    hits a button in a table. The table will have a button for each entry.
    There is an iView that has the table, a custom controller that executes
    the BAPI (model).
    I am setting the value of the custom controller context at the onAction event handler of the iView and calling the method executeBAPI once the user hits the button. The problem is it works fine for the first time. If the user hits another button of the table on the same screen it throws a nullPointer exception. ie all the subsequent calls fail.
    What could be wrong?

    This is what i am doing at line 160. And i am setting some more values for the node.

  • Post Process Event Handler not getting user's CURRENT_STATE for a UDF field

    I have a post process event handler in OIM R2 BP04 , which runs on Trusted Reconciliation and it compares user's ("CURRENT_USER") state and ("NEW_USER_STATE") and based on that derives a business logic.
    The problem that i am  facing is that, it is not able to get the User's ("CURRENT_USER") state for a UDF(EMAIL_LIST) field and it is coming as null,and  hence is breaking the business logic.The same Event Handler is working on TEST and QA ( 4 node cluster)environments and is not working on PROD environment( 4 node cluster).
    The different thing that was done on was that during the initial recon the event Handler was not present  and after the initial load of the users i have manually executed the database sql query which have updated the "EMAIL_LIST field manually for all the users
    I think  that since during the initial recon as the  EMAIL_LIST was not populated and was  populated  through the SQL update for all the users, the orchestration inter event data does not contain email list, and so it is coming as null.
    But i am seeing the same behavior for new records as well, which are created and  then updated after event handler is registered.
    Please reply, if you have encountered something similar.
    Thnx
    Akshat

    Yes i need the old state, which is
                        Identity[] oldUserStatesIdntArr =
                            (Identity[])(Identity[])interEventData.get("CURRENT_USER");

  • Problem reading custom property file from custom event handler.

    Hi,
    My custom event handler needs some bits of information that I have set up in a property file. However, when the event handler runs it throws a FileNotFound exception - actually its because permission was denied.
    I have added the code System.getProperty("user.name") to find out the actual user that the event handler is running as. It reports that "oracle" is the user.
    That's great. However, the permissions on the file will allow oracle to read/write the file. If I log onto the server where OCDB runs (as oracle), I can vi the file.
    The file is owned by another user, but the "oracle" is a member of the group that has read/write (we're running on a unix box). The file is not 777.
    The event handler is actually calling a static utility method that returns the Properties. This utility is used elsewhere in other custom apps in conjunction with OCDB (on the same server). It works there, so the utility is functioning correctly.
    Is there something going on that I'm missing? Like somehow the event handler is acually runn as somebody else?
    Here is the node log.

    Matt,
    Sorry to have wasted your time. It was a server reboot issue. The ocdb server hasn't been restarted since early July. We added the users and groups late last week. Although we tested on line, the server wasn't quite up to speed with the new changes.
    We bounced the server and all is well.
    Thanks

  • OnMouseClicked event handler not working

    I'm currently playing with Netbeans 7.0 and JavaFX 2.0-beta (Java 1.6.0_26, OS Windows XP) and noticed, that the onMouseClicked event handler doesn't seem to work properly.
    I added one to the scene but it got triggered only very sporadical, when I hit the mouse button several times really fast. The onMousePressed and onMouseReleased handlers on the other side work as expected.
    I also tried adding a click event handler to other nodes like a Rectangle or a Pane but it's always the same behaviour.
    Is this a (known) bug or limitation of the beta release or am I missing something here?
    Here is a a short example:
    public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
            primaryStage.setTitle("JavaFX");
            final BorderPane root = new BorderPane();
            final Scene scene = new Scene(root, 800, 600, Color.BLACK);
            scene.setOnMouseClicked(new EventHandler<MouseEvent>() {
                public void handle(MouseEvent event) {
                    System.out.println("click");
            primaryStage.setScene(scene);
            primaryStage.centerOnScreen();
            primaryStage.setVisible(true);
    }Regards,

  • Tree's DragSource changes at DragDrop event handler?

    I try to drag a node A into node B. When the DragDrop event
    handler is called, the dragSource is changed to the drop source?
    I have declared the following:
    <mx:Tree ......... dragDrop="OnDragDrop(event)"....../>
    In the function:
    private function OnDragDrop( event:DragEvent ):void
    var ds:DragSource = event.dragSource;
    items = new XML( ds.dataForFormat("treeItems")[0] );
    I was expecting the "items" has a copy of the dragged item
    (node A). However, it has all the drop node's info (node B). How do
    I get teh drag and drop nodes in this event?
    P.S. I am trying to drag and drop at the same tree control.
    Could that be why? Is it suppose to be like this? Or, its a bug?

    Regarding your button look and feel issue, the easiest thing to do would be to copy the button template you are using for the template-based buttons and modify that to add in your onClick handlers.
    The builtin button template for the theme I am using (Theme 12) looks like this
    <table class="t10Button" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"  summary="">
        <tr>
            <td class="t10L"><img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_10/button_left.gif" alt="" width="4" height="24" /></td>
            <td class="t10C">#LABEL#</td>
            <td class="t10R"><img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_10/button_right.gif" width="4" height="24" alt="" /></td>
        </tr>
    </table>In other words, each button is rendered in its own HTML table.
    Copy this button template, call it mybutton and have it look like
    <table class="t10Button" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"  summary="">
        <tr>
            <td class="t10L"><img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_10/button_left.gif" alt="" width="4" height="24" /></td>
            <td class="t10C">#LABEL#</td>
            <td class="t10R"><img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_10/button_right.gif" width="4" height="24" alt="" /></td>

    </table>Notice that I put a no-op in the href tag for the button and added a onClick handler that will do the real work. In your case, you would use the URL Redirect on the Button attributes page to call your SavePage() function. Since the onClick is called before the href, it should (hopefully) do what you are looking for.

  • Use event handler programmatically

    Hello, I use the Labview 8.2.1 and I would like to ask something about event handler.
    I have some buttons and I use an event handler to perform their tasks. The buttons are used only with the mouse and not programmatically.
    Now, I want to use a button programmatically without pressing it. I didn't find how to do this, so I created a boolean variable and I added to the event handler of a button a second "Event Specifier" of that boolean variable with the event "value change".
    I assumed that it would work, but it does not, that is, the event handler is not used when the value of the boolean variable changes.
    How can I solve it?
    Thank you in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Write to the Value(Sgnl) property node of the variable you want to change.  This will set off an event programatically.

  • Event Handling Techniques with MVC

    Hello all,
    I have a situation where I have a model that can be thought of like a graph with many nodes and edges. I would like to create a view of this model with a customized JLabel that shows a data value for each node and edge in the model. The event handling to accomplish this has left me a bit perplexed, though. On one hand I was considering something similar to the following:
    // a dedicated listener for each label
    MyLabel mylabels[] = new MyLabel[numLabels];
    for(int i = 0; i != mylabels.length; i++){
    MyEventHandler eh = new MyEventHandler(mylabels);
    mylabel.addMouseListener(eh);
    public class MyEventHandler extends MouseAdapter{
    private MyLabel label;
    public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e){
    label.setText(etc...);
    // at this point I would want to set the value of the point or edge
    // that this label corresponds to, not sure of the best strategy
    // here either
    etc...
    The other technique that I am considering might look similar to the following:
    // only one listener for all labels
    MyLabel mylabels[] = new MyLabel[numLabels];
    MyEventHandler eh = new MyEventHandler();
    for(int i = 0; i != mylabels.length; i++){
    mylabel.addMouseListener(eh);
    public class MyEventHandler extends MouseAdapter{
    public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e){
    //call a control object in MVC architecture, for more processing
    control.update(e.getSource(), (String)input);
    etc...
    // in the control object class
    public void update(Object eventSource, String input){
    MyLabel source = (MyLabel)eventSource;
    source.setText(input);
    // the label would have some kind of index to indicate which one it is
    model.setData(source.getIndex(), input);
    I am interested in knowing any accepted/popular solutions to situations like this. Are either of my samples worth implementing? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

    I would recommend creating a single listener and add it to every label added to the graph. If you're interested in events that occur outside of the labels (in the background), add a listener to the container of the labels as well.
    Unfortunately, you cannot simply add a listener to the container and get all the mouse events from the container's children because Swing's event dispatching system will only dispatch mouse events to a container if the click location was not within any of the container's children. This means that mouse listeners registered to a container will only receive mouse events within the container's background.

  • Event Handling for tree structure using "CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE"

    Hi,
    I have created a tree structure using class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE.
    Now I wanted to insert a check and give message when the user opens the last node in my structure.
    I checked the events available in the class , but there in none which gets trigered when we try to open a node.
    Please guide me with this scenario.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Omkar M.

    Hello Omkar
    The solution is somewhat odd but apparently works. As sample report please check BCALV_TREE_SIMPLE_DEMO.
    Copy this report and make the following changes:
    class lcl_tree_event_receiver definition.
      public section.
        methods:
        on_expand_no_children " new event handler method
          for event expand_no_children of cl_gui_column_tree
            importing NODE_KEY,  " class = CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE !!!
        on_add_hierarchy_node
                  for event on_add_hierarchy_node of cl_gui_alv_tree_simple
                        importing grouplevel
                                  index_outtab.
    endclass.
    CLASS lcl_tree_event_receiver IMPLEMENTATION.
      METHOD on_expand_no_children.
        BREAK-POINT.
      ENDMETHOD.                    "on_expand_no_children
    FORM register_events.
    * define the events which will be passed to the backend
      DATA: lt_events TYPE cntl_simple_events,
            l_event TYPE cntl_simple_event.
    * define the events which will be passed to the backend
      l_event-eventid = cl_gui_column_tree=>eventid_node_context_menu_req.
      APPEND l_event TO lt_events.
      l_event-eventid = cl_gui_column_tree=>eventid_expand_no_children.
      APPEND l_event TO lt_events.
      CALL METHOD tree1->set_registered_events
        EXPORTING
          events                    = lt_events
        EXCEPTIONS
          cntl_error                = 1
          cntl_system_error         = 2
          illegal_event_combination = 3.
    * set Handler
      DATA: l_event_receiver TYPE REF TO lcl_tree_event_receiver.
      CREATE OBJECT l_event_receiver.
      SET HANDLER l_event_receiver->on_add_hierarchy_node
                                                            FOR tree1.  " CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE
      SET HANDLER l_event_receiver->on_expand_no_children
                                              FOR ALL INSTANCES. " CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE !!!
    ENDFORM.                               " register_events
    As soon as you open a node in the ALV tree the report will stop at the break-point.
    Now you need to check if there are still children nodes to be displayed.
    If not then trigger your special coding.
    Regards

  • Reg ALV Hyperlink event handling in WDA

    Hi,
    I am using one ALV for Invoice in WDA. There in that ALV, column containing VBELN has been defined as Hyperlink. On clicking of VBELN, detail about that should be opened up as PDF.
    So far, this is working. But, my problem is, if once VBELN has been selected, next clicking does not pass diff VBELN.
    I need to know how can I handle  clicking on diff VBELN in my Invoice ALV?
    If there is anything like clear or refresh, that need to be invoked in Afteraction or Beforeaction or WdModifyView...?
    Or is there a syntax like
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setSpace(" ");
    for getElement( ) also...?
    Thanks.

    Hi Arjun,
    I followed and implemented this line --
    In the DISPLAYPDF method, create a parameter ln_vbeln ref to vbeln.
    Now,
    Now when you call this method in the ON_CLICK event handler (use the help of code wizard to call the method),
    So, why should I call this method in ON_CLICK Event Handler?
    In ON_CLICK Method, this is my code that is being generated using Wizard --
    LO_EL_VBRKTAB_2->GET_ATTRIBUTE(
          EXPORTING
            NAME =  `VBELN`
          IMPORTING
            VALUE = LV_VBELN ).
    In addition, I am just firing the Plug to call View that has PDF Container - InteractiveForm Element.
    And, DISPLAYPDF is a Method defined in ComponentController Method Tab. There, I am employing the logic to fetch the data using Wizard from diff nodes and processing those to give the output from Smartforms as PDF.
    There, I've defined ln_vbeln, but, an error comes stating - ln_vbeln cannot be a table, a reference, a string, or contain any of these objects
    Here, my question is I've defined my steps. Let me do it in numbers--
    1) View for Input defined
    2) View to contain output ALV defined
    3) View to contain PDF defined
    4) Method ON_CLICK defined in second View
    5) Method DISPLAYPDF defined in COMPONENTCONTROLLER's Method Tab
    Now, suggest me what to do and where?
    Thanks.
    Kumar Saurav.
