Last night I've tried to connect my nokia 3230...
All works! get paired & transfering files but no sync

Thanks for your advice. I already tried it with much data, but also with very little data (just a few contacts or a few appointments) - with the same result. I also e-mailed Nokia on how to synchronize my cell phone with the iMac. The just told me not to use the Nokia Suite (which I'm using on my Windows notebook with Outlook), but to use Apple's iSync - which I then did: The iSync Agent version 1.1.2 has been installed...

Nokia 5230 Cannot Sync with Ovi Suite

Every time I connect my phone to my computer to sync up with Ovi Suite and click on sync, it doesn't sync and a message pops up to tell me to reconnect or fix the Bluetooth. This has been happening to me ever since I got the phone 3 months ago and only once have I properly synced up my phone with my music (which now doesn't work either and doesn't pick up on the files on my memory card that I added through syncing with Ovi Suite, and every time I connect with the setting of mass storage it tells me I don't have enough room or shows the files ) I would like to restore it to the original factory settings but I have some important files on my phone that I would like to back up before I do that.

Google account issue, cannot sync mails from one G...

Hi. Yesterday i found out that my nokia n9 cannot sync mails from my Gmail account and it is still asking me for password. I was resetting settings, cleaning phone to the factory, even i flashed my software again, and it still doesnt work. When i add an account it syncs with Gtalk succesfully, but cannot connect to Gmail. I was trying the 2 step authentication by Google, than closed any captcha problems with Google help. And nothing works for me. Tried to enter commands

gconftool --recursive-unset /system/osso"
Tried to delete all accounts, reboot and add them again, or delere all accounts, than reset to factory, and add them again. Nothing helps to me.
Tried to make an backup, open it with computer and delete files inside some folders (forgot which), than backed it up. Still the same
Than i created one more account on Gmail, wrote to this adress, and added it to my phone. Than it worked, synced the mail which i've written. But it still doesnt work with my main account.
Is there any setting file which isnt cleared until reset/flash? Or where can i find it?

I'm pretty certain that I had the same problem as you but was able to find a fix. Basically, just delete the "/home/user/.qmf" folder and reboot. Below is a link to another forum with a more technically detailed explanation. Good luck!

X2-01 cannot sync with outllook 2007

Please help: Nokia x2-01 cannot sync with outlook 2007, windows xp SP3
I have tried two brand new x2 phones, various ovi suites and various nokia suites.
I just cannot sync my outlook contacts and calendar to my phone.
Nokia suite 3.4.49 can sync the calendar, but not contacts.
I keep getting the messages as if my contact application is open, but nothing is open my phone.
I cannot seem to close the contact application on my phone.
I also get Error Code: 8070 0000 8d5e000a

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
This error code implies that some of your sync operations have failed with the end point. Try the following solution to fix the problem with syncing:
Open Nokia Suite.
Select Tools > Options > My phones
Use Phone options dropdown to select the device and then press Remove this phone.
Once all devices are deleted, Reboot the computer, open Nokia Suite, connect the phone and select Add new phone.
Some more things to check:
Your phone and computer are properly connected and the Anti-virus application settings does not impair the operation.
Connect the phone to your computer with a USB cable that came in the sales package.
Connect your USB cable directly to the PC do not use a USB Hub.

Cannot sync 4S 6.1.2 with purchased Apps

Since upgrading iTunes and iPhone 4S to 11.0.2.26 and 6.1.2 respectively, I cannot Sync my old Apps to the phone. Getting 'Computer not Authorised' for these Apps.

BTW, when the synchyronization of thre calendar fails (ie sync range larger than 1 week), as I explained before the PC Sync window simply disappears while the N95 remains in syncing mode. If starting back PC Sync, the last message in the log is "the mobile phone has not responded".
This looks like a very common message, as I read from other posts, but I haven't seen one single solution for this.

Cannot sync Yahoo mail

I have 3 e-mail accounts and had no trouble syncing my g-mail and outlook e-mail accounts, but for some reason I cannot sync my yahoo verizon.net to my new Nokia 822. I have tried multiple times and the only way I can see my yahoo mail is to log on via the web browser and pin this site to the start menu, but there has to be a way to add this account via e-mail settings. Any help with this would be appreciated!

Do it manually then
Go to Settings > Emails and Accounts > Advanced Setup > Internet email account
Scroll down and follow the instructions for Manually Advanced Setup

Nokia 3230 queries

Im using a bluetooth doungle to transfer stuffs on my mobile from my PC.
When i use bluetooth file transfer option to send files to my phone, it comes into the messages folder and i cannot move it elsewhere. As this uses the phone memory, it has a limit on how big file can be transferred.
How can i change my default location to any folder in my memory card?
Also, this downloaded file, i am not able to move to any other folder outside the messages folder.
How do i do this?
Please advise.

I bought the nokia 3230 with a default memory card of 32mb.
When i connect through nokia pc suite, it doesnt show the memory card in the phone browser and instead says, connection to phone was lost.
While, i connected another card and that is working fine and i am able to transfer data.
How do i transfer the data from the 32mb caard?

I've Nokia 3230, the problem is that in Phonebook I've set "First Name First" but last name is appearing first in inbox while in sent messages first name is appearing first.
How can I fix that?

The phonebook setting only affects the way the names are listed in the phonebook and does not change the way names are listed elsewhere.
This the way it is meant to me and cannot be fixed.

Please solve nokia 3230's greatest problem...

Nokia 3230 have internal memory about 6 MB. Generally it has free memory about 4.5 MB. So it cannot receive music, other files or videos having size greater than free memory (about 4 to 4.5 MB).
Is there any setting or any software to my device for accepting files having greter size from BLUETHOOTH?

I have installed the update for my N95 8GB
But when i try to add new device it lists it but just says it cannot connect to my phone (strange as iphoto loads straight up when i plug in phone)
i have the phone paired to the computer bluetooth, have tried usb everything but still no joy, any ideas anyone ????

Nokia has two different programs for mac users.
1. iSync plugin (to sync contacts and calender)
2. Nokia Multimedia transfer ( photos/video/music/bookmark)
have you installed isync plugin for your N95 device?

Installing the plug-in
Make sure you have installed all available updates from Apple using Software Update. Minimum requirements are Mac OS X 10.4.9 with iSync 2.4 to use the plug-in unless otherwise stated.
Check the list above to see if your phone needs a plug-in. If so, download the plug-in disk image to your desktop.
Make sure iSync is not running.
Double-click the downloaded plug-in disk image. A virtual disk will open in Finder.
Double-click the enclosed plug-in installer package to start the installation.
After the installation is complete, you can eject the virtual disk and move the disk image file to the Trash.
You can now start iSync with the plug-in installed.

Iphone 5S no longer recognized in ITunes and so cannot sync

Iphone 5S is no longer recognized in ITunes so it cannot sync. I am not seeing the driver listed and therefore the recommendation to repair the driver does not work for me. Have rebooted, deleted Itunes and reuploaded many many times. I have read and tried all the "Apple" fixes listed. I use Kasperasky Anti-Virus and wondered if that could be blocking the driver needed. I have added the Apple programs to Kaspersky's exclusion list but that did not work. Seems ridiculous to spend any more money to download songs in ITunes if I can never sync my Iphone 5S to get them on my phone. Apple techs, please help - just recommending the standard fixes I keep reading has not helped at all. Anyone else have a different suggestion? Thanking you in advance as I've spent so many hours on trying to find a fix.

Thank you for your suggestions but I still have the problem. The Iphone 5S is not recognized and I have deleted Kaspersky off my computer (and still have not put it back on yet). I still do not see the Apple Mobile Service USB Driver listed. I had done this process previously (several times) but went through it all again in your order just in case I missed something. I am wondering if there is a way to go back to the previous version of ITunes in case it was the ITunes update causing me the problems. I do not think I can blame it on Kaspersky since it is not on my computer now and I have the same problem.
I also notice that the Iphone is not listed in my devices in Windows 7 - not sure if it was before or is suppose to be for sure - but just noting it is not. I tried the option to add devices but Windows does not find the Iphone 5S. Just thought I would add that information in case that should lead to a solution. Again thanks for your time - would appreciate any other suggestions. I don't think you can use Apple Support without paying money so would like to find help from someone else having the problems. I think it is odd so many people are having problems with their phone being recognized or sometimes just it syncing - and various steps have helped others (like uninstalling and re-installing).
