Nokia 6080 battery

Hi people,
I just bought a new Nokia 6080. How long does the battery have to load until you can use it? I can't find it in the guidelines.

The first time you charge up your phones battery you need to leave it charging until it is full. If the phone is switched on while charging it will say battery full when you plug in the charger again.

Nokia 6080 Themes

I am considering getting a Nokia 6080 within the next few days. I have been looking around the internet for some cool themes and I have stumbled upon some really cool ones.
Problem is that these themes are filed under Series 40 3rd Edition themes...The 6080 is a 2nd edition phone according to Nokia.com but on the website with all the themes it says it is 3rd edition.

The signal bars on the 6080 are different from the ones shown in the previews for the themes.
To make things more complicated, I found a pic of the 6080 with the horizontal signal bars (barely visible in this pic)

Can somebody tell me if the themes on the website will work on the Nokia 6080?

Nokia 6080 cannot connect to pc.....

I had install driver cable CA-53 but window shows that one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and window does not recognize it...
What should i do ? ?

I uninstalled PC Suite & used PC Cleaner to remove all files. Restarted.
1st installed Only the cable driver. No luck.
2: Installed PC Suite 6.82.27.0. Restarted. No Luck. Ran the .bat file from Miksu's advice to register all .dll files. Rebooted. No luck.
When I connect the cable to the phone, the phone displays:
i Data Enhancement connected
i Enhancement not supported
When Windows 2000 prompted to install the cable. It could not find a suitable driver. So I chose "Have Disk" and browsed to
"C:\Program Files\Nokia\Connectivity Cable Driver"
Many Nokia **** USB Modems were listed.
*NO driver for Nokia 6080 was listed*
That is why I conclude that Nokia has not created support for the 6080 in their cable drivers.
I tried Nokia 6085. It installed, but the cable no-longer shows up under connected USB devices and the "modem" would not respond. uninstalled that.
Has anyone with the 6080/CA-42 had success?

Nokia 6080 Theme Problem

Hey guys, ive got a nokia 6080 and am having a problem with the theme. When I first used the phone there was no theme selected by default and when browsing through the menu system there was subsequently no graphic or picture behind the menu. I obviously started playing with the phone and selected a theme from the 2 that were already on it. But now I dont want the theme anymore as ive set a different default wallpaper anyway. Here lies the problem. I cannot seem to find a way of unselecting a theme. I have to have one of the two that were on there. So now I have set my wallpaper, I still have other settings from the theme like the image behind the menu when im navigating through it. Is there a way to remove or unselect the theme in use? or am I now forced to use one of the themes that was on the phone at the time of purchase?

Sorry, but is it lawful for you here to show any link to a "blank" theme? i've deleted the Nokia theme by mistake and the only one i do have now - is City. And i don't like it very much. And i read somewhere here in other threads that nobody can share here with Nokia theme as it is copyrighted.

Problem in message sending of nokia 6080

my sim card is unable to allow message sending from most of the nokia 6080 mobile phones.but,my sim can send messages from all other mobile phones in the usual manner.i have sent my cell to one of the nokia care centres(job sheet number:319434038/070519/20
).what they are telling me is that the phone is working fine with their sim card.so i am in a dual situation----my cell doesnt respond to my sim,but my sim is working with other phones.in such a one to one sim-mobile intercompatibility problem,what am i supposed to do?my warranty is still on.can i get a new cell in return?please help.

Well u must have moved ur settings.. i would sugest a format or factory reset.. its only the problem that u must have changed ur messeage no or something..

Nokia 6080 and DKU 5

Hi everyone,
I have a Nokia 6080 and i bought a new DKU-5 Data Cable, I downloaded the latest nokia pc suite from nokia website., and the DKU cable driver from the Nokia Site., when I run Pc suite according to the steps it says connect your data cable to your pc and your mobile to your cable, I did the same but my phone displays "Data enhancement connected" and immidiatly it displays "Data enhancement not supported", Someone kindly tell me the steps to make it work properly,.

The Nokia 6080 needs a CA-42 cable go the site below for compatibilty list of Nokia cables.

If you don't want to spend again on cable use IrDa it is supported also in pcsuites for your phone, it wil work just fine.

Nokia 6080 gets connected to older version of PC s...

i installed the older version of PC suitewhich i got with my CA-42 cable it connected my phone to pc but did not get me connected to the net so my father brought me a newer version from his friend after installing it instead of solving my modem problem it created a new problem that even my phone(Nokia 6080)doesn't get connected to my pc. What to do

Nokia 6080 irda and pc suite

Hi everybody,
i've got the nokia 6080 phone and usb irda adapter and i am trying connect the phone to my pc, so that i can sync my contacts, but when i lay the phone near the adapter i have the message from pc suite:
"PC Suite does not recognise the connected phone. The connection between the PC and the phone failed, error code 0x80043605. ..."
I have win XP sp2, and the latest version of pc suite(6.85)
What can i do to make all of this work?

The final solution was to play a bit with irda dongle drivers, actually there were a few modifications which windows claimed to be compatible, when I chose one of them problem has gone away. These options were placed in the driver's properties tab or so.
For now I completely switched to Linux, thus I doubt that I can help you further.

Nokia 5300 battery

I am having real problem with the Nokia 5300 battery life. I have never expect this type of problem with Nokia phones. I usually encounter this type of problem with Motorola phones. I've bought this phone for 2 weeks and already have to buy a spare battery because the phone battery keeps running out. I use the bluetooth headset sometimes (on standby) other than that I hardly ever talk on the phone and would not dare using it to listen to music since I am worry about the battery. There is no reason why I should charge my phone that often. Not only does the battery not last, it takes 3 - 4 hours to charge. Changing spare battery has not been a easy task too. The back casing is very difficult to open when you have long nails.
I have been using Nokia phones for the last 10 years, changed 8 different models, and had loved every one of them. This is the first time that I am disappointed.

PC Suite Nokia 6080

Hi,
I've got Nokia 6080. Can someone teach me how does PC suite technology works? Is something to do with the computer?
Is it related to trsnsfering of files?
What is meant by Pop-Port™?
When i brought the phone i only got the hearphone which can be used for radio?
Do i need purchase something for the above clause?
In my computer i can't see Infrared in the control panel, do i need to enable something in the computer? If so can someone teach me on how to do it?

http://europe.nokia.com/A4144903 this is a website where u can download software and need is a cable which is available in the shops.pc suite helps to acess ur data(songs,telephone,messages etc).whenu click on download it will download the software and just follow the instructions.at the comfortibility of pc u can see all data of phone in pc,the cable ie one side has to be connected to pc usb port and the other end to ur phone.on the screen u see a symbol some what like arrow.which means ur phone is connected to system.

Nokia 5500 battery cover

Hi All, I have misplaced my Nokia 5500 battery cover (panel). When i checked with Nokia service center, they told that they are not sure if they will be able to get a spare. Can any one tell me where i can get the battery cover in Chennai? Its not even a month since i bought the phone. SO pls let me know if u know where i can get the pannel. Thanks in advance.

Nokia 6080 - Invalid Program

Hi
After the return of our Nokia 6080 from the Repair-Center ( Software Update ) I restored all Data on the Phone with the actual Nokia PC-Suite (6.86.9.0)
After this - the 2 Original Games ( Sudoku / Canal Control ) are corrupt. If we try to start one of these - there comes the message "Invalid Program. Delete ?" (in german: Ungültiges Programm. Löschen?"
What can I do ? Resend to the Repair Center ? Or is there another way to fix this ?

Make sure you buy an original nokia branded battery.
The cheap non-nokia ones that offer more power or longer lasting tend to be very unreliable and could damage the phone.

Nokia 7210 Battery

My Nokia 7210 Battery is giving less than 24 hour standby time and charging time is more than 3 hours. How can I check the genuinity of the battery.

if you just got the phone bring it back to point of purchase .did you give it the initial 1st charge for 2 or 3 hours it will take a few days for the battery to stabilize and dont keep bluetooth on either as this drains battery
