Nokia 6280 problem transferring music from PC to P...

I am a bit of a novice when it comes to phones but I recently purchased a Nokia 6280. I have downloaded PC Suite version 6.82.22.0 and am using a CA-53 USB cable to connect my phone to my PC, however I am unable to download any tunes to my phone. I keep getting a message stating that there is insufficient memory on my phone. This I find hard to believe as it is a brand new phone with new memory card
I am using Windows XP, Build 2006, Service Pack 2.
I have checked the help page of PC suite and in relation to the Connectivity Cable Drivers it states "Not Installed"

I am also getting a message saying packet data connection not available when I try and access things such as the internet or vodaphone live for example. Can anyone assist me with either of these problems

Having problems transferring music from my pc

I bought an ipad 3 last week and seem to be having difficulties transferring music from my pc. Do I click import, this seem to work but only transferred 2 1/2 albums & podcasts.

Tried a disk clean up and even upgraded the firmware on my player.
Now in nomad explorer the music files do not even show up while the data library still take ages to load and I still cant transfer anything from it as it tells it cannot read from jukebox device.
Tried deleting some files to see what would happen ? the file says it has been deleted but when I disconnected and looked in library again the file was still there.
I forgot to mention in my first post that I was able to transfer everything off my Zen onto pc but I had to remaster my computer and as such lost all files and since then I cant transfer off the Zen - not sure if that matters but thought I should mention it
Can?t really test at friends? computer because even if I could and it worked I have 25 GB of files that need to be transferred which doesn?t make it feasible to transfer all onto a friend?s computer
Any help is grateful as I need to back up my music files in case my Zen breaks down (I am on my third Zen in 4 months as the first two were defecti've)

Problem transfering music from itunes to iphone

But when i decide to transfer these songs from Itunes to my Iphone 4 by draging it, like I always did before, it doesn't work. By the way I just bought a new laptop and downloaded Itunes on it. hi, your message is kind of old and you've probably already figured out how to transfer the music. i just read some of the replies to you and see that no one mentions the "Autofill" option so i wanted to let you know--just in case it might help you to do things a bit less complicated. i had the same problem with the new version of iTunes (11.0) and discovered the best way to transfer your music is to add it to your iTunes library like you usually do and click on the "Autofill" button at the bottom so the music is transferred without problems. You still won't get to keep your playlists (I know right? ******* genius whoever came up with this brilliant idea...) and you must make sure you're "auto-filling" the music from the recently added list, otherwise it will just transfer music from a different location.

Problems transfering music from external hard drive to ipod.

When I plug both ipod and external hard driver (WD 1600B014) into my Gateway laptop, only 1 device will work at a time with the other saying "usb device not recognised". This means I am unable to copy selected itunes songs onto my ipod.
This is driving me insane as I have 60gb of music on my hard drive which I want to chop and change frequently.
I have tried all manner of solutions including buying a powered usb hub (belkin) and starting a clean sheet with my laptop, installing all manner of new drivers for the usb ports.
I have the same problem with my 5G ipod 40gb.
I have tried the same problem on my dads desktop computer and the same problem arrises.
Does anyone have any answers as this has been driving me mad for ages and ages.
Is this a common thing or is it a problem with Western digital hard drives (although i thought they were a pretty big brand).
Any help would really be appreciated.

No, you don't have to copy the tracks to your internal hard drive. Just turn off the "copy music to iTunes Music Folder when adding" option in the iTunes Advanced preferences. Then use the "Add To Library" menu command and select the appropriate folder(s) on your external drive. iTunes will add the tracks to the Library but not move them to the internal drive.
Once that's done, use iTunes to transfer the music to the iPod. You can then, if iTunes is set for manual synchronization, remove the tracks from the Library if you want to remove the reference to the external drive.

New MacBook air problems transferring music from macG5 OSX. Not enough space

Just got a MacBook air and having problems with migration assistant. It is showing I don't have enough disc space to transfer from my Mac G5 running on OSX 10.5.8. The main thing I want to transfer is my iTunes library. Would love to transfer all my photos too. I have tried just checking the music box and nothing else but it still says not enough space. How can I get my music library?

It's probably right. You need to install a larger drive in the MacBook Air or skip those for now and put them on an external drive later.

6500 classic problems Transfering music from PC

I got this phone yesterday and today attempted to transfer a couple of MP3s from my PC to the phone using the USB lead.
This would not work as apparently the phone doesn't have any memory, this I find hard to believe as the phone only has the factory apps on at present and when checking the memory status the phone still has over 900mb
Can anybody help?

My guess is that you are trying to transfer your songs to the phone memory instead of the card memory. I guess because not everyone has a memory card, the PC Suite music transfer software defaults to using phone memory.
Phone memory is a few 10s of MB whereas the card can be 2GB or more.
It sounds like you're using the Transfer Music option in PC Suite. Unfortunately, I don't have a working version of PC Suite on my work machine so I can't give you the exact options, however you need to connect the phone and go into options. Somewhere in the options related to the phone there is a target directory. You need to change this to be a directory on the memory card, preferably:
[card]:\Sounds\Digital
An alternative - which will also give you much faster transfer rates - is to connect using the USB cable in Data Transfer mode (you should be prompted when you connect the cable, alternatively you can change this from within the Connection menu options). The memory card should then appear as an external drive in Windows Explorer and you can simply drag and drop music files to the above directory.

Problems transferring music from turntable to computer with Audigy 2ZS Plse He

I originally had Sound Blaster PC28. I have installed last year Audigy 2ZS with 6 analog plugs and updated regularly. Everything is fine from burning to playing music of any format allowed. However, last week I tried to transfer vinyl music to my computer using Sony Sound Forge Version 8 and nothing works. Here's what I did. Luxman Turntable connected with ground to LINE IN ( in DENON amp ) and in the AUX output I have 2 Monster cables boing to my computer twinned on goldplaited /8 jack which is connected to the second (from right) LINE IN in the sound card. This done while referring to Manual & Getting Started Demo Creative program in the software. NO SOUND AT ALL COMES IN the computer - while the music is playing qell on my audio system player. I've done all kind of adjustment with the Microsoft Volume Play & Recording Controls and with Creative Mixer.
I can only distinguish on Sony Sound Forge two volume bars that there is some faint connection fluttering . I still tried to record but upon playback, there is no visual waving lines illustrated in SoundForge window nor sound played back. I expected that. What am I doing wrong or is Audigy 2ZS not suitable for such ? FYI, I tried the other5 jacks on the sound car ( adjusting to WHAT U HEAR or LINE IN controls ) .
The infos in Creative manual and software demo show the 2nd jack of analog sound card from the right being used as a LINE IN for cassette, synthesizer & cd player ( Iguess it goes also for truntable ? - i tried with cd player and it does not work either ) Third jack from the right is only for microphone (also tried but does not work either) . - enable Wave and Line-In sources, set level to 50-00%
- set .Rec source to AnalogMix(), set level to 50-00%
- find the best levels (I normally have these set as: line-in = 70% (.rec = 00% if not using ASIO drivers))
SoundForge:
- (depending on device driver mode you're using and which A2ZS model you have there), set input to AnalogMix() (w/ ASIO) or just select the one meant for Line-In,
- set recording levels

Problems Transfering Music From I-Tunes Library to IPOD

I recently purchased the IPod 30 GB. I have an extensive Music CD collection and copied many songs from those CD's to the ITunes Library. When I attempt to sync the songs to my IPod I get a message saying that many of songs could not be found. This results in those songs not being copied to my IPod. This seems to be the case with approximately about 50 percent of the songs.
The songs could be played through the ITunes library just fine until I attempted to copy them to my IPod. After that, the songs that could not be found appeared with an exclamation point next to them and when I attempted to do anything with the songs I got a message that said "The song "name of the song" could not be used because the original file could not be found".
When I looked up the info on the files that copied over to the IPod and those that did not the only differences were as follows:
The files that copied were listed as AAC Audio Files. Those that did not were listed as MPEG Audio Files. In addition, there was no information in the "Where" box for those that did not copy over.

The ! next to the songs can mean several things. The files have been moved from the iTunes music folder, or deleted from your computer entirely. Or the song files have been renamed/edited or otherwise changed by some method other than iTunes. In any event, iTunes has lost track of these song files.
You can use Explorer to search your computer for missing songs.
On the Start menu, click "Search".
Select "All Files and folders".
In the "All or part of the file name" field, type the song name and then click "Search".
If you see the file you are looking for in the Search Results window, you can add it back into your iTunes library.

Has anyone had a problem transferring music from icloud onto the iPod?

I have all my music stored in icloud. It will not download onto my ipod classic in it's entirety. There is plenty of space. Does anyone know how to trouble shoot this issue?

I bought a new computer, copied the songs on to the new computer and backed them up on the iCloud. I am having the same trouble as you (unfortunately). I am looking for an answer too...

Transfering Music from Napster to Go to my Zen 3

I have recently been having problems transfering music from Napster to my Zen. I download the music, transfer it to my Zen (Vision : M 30GB), and it shows up in my organizer on my computer and my Zen device on my COMPUTER, as in the folders on the computer when I hook it up to the computer, but then I click on the folders of the recently downloaded artists and none of the actual music I downloaded are in the folders or on my Zen when I go portable. I have tried clearing up the C Disk thing from help and have tried clearing the playlist from the folders, but nothing works. I downloaded about 250 songs before this started happening and now I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated.

I had problems for the first month of my Napster membership (while I was still in the trial period). I nearly went elsewhere, but stayed with it. As soon as the trial period was over, everything worked perfectly. One suggestion is to use the same software for everything. Whether you use Creative media source, Napster's own software or media explorer or any of the others, stick with that one only. Do not give up and go to itunes. What a waste of money!?If you need to reload firmware or try another software, it's worth it.
I also had some issues getting help. Napster said the problem was with Creative and Creative said the problem was with Napster. Don't give up. Can you get ripped songs in?

Problem transferring files from PC to MP3 pla

I recently have had problems transferring music from my computer to my Zen Touch.
I am using firmware version .0.03 Zen Touch and version 2.02.05 of Creative MediaSource Organizer. I have been able to transfer files perfectly fine for years up until a few days ago. When attempting to transfer an album, I get the following two error messages:
"Error: unable to download file. This file format is invalid."
"Error: There is not enough disk space at the destination for this
transfer."
The first error baffles me. Every file is in mp3 format and plays fine on my computer. I have no explanation as to why I am getting this error except that my Zen Touch is dieing. :-(
I have figured out the reason for the second error but I have absolutely no clue why it happens. When transferring the mp3s, the album folder grows to a ridiculous size. A 90 MB folder got changed to 9.23 GB!!!! Half of the songs on the album became -2 GBs each while the other half remained normal and completely unchanged. The songs that were greatly increased in file size still played fine on my PC however there would be 000s of minutes of static following the song.
The music already on my mp3 player still plays fine. The only problems I have been having is with the transferring of new music to the player.
So, I'm hoping someone has experienced this issue and has been able to fix it.

hi ive just bought a nokia 6280 and im having problems transfering music which i have downloaded off my pc im trying to move it off the memory card but having no such luck i keep getting a message saying not enough memory when i try moving it to my music file!? any suggestions

the phone has a poor memory capacity, and so needs any music keeping on the memory card, only the supplied memory card is not too great either and will hold only about 20 tracks, so may need upgrading.

Hello, I am having problems migrating data from my old PC running XP (SP3) to my new Mac Pro 2012 using the Migration Assistant.
- I downloaded and installed the Windows Migration Assistant from Apple
- My Mac recognized PC and displays passcode
- The sasscode does not show / display on my PC
- My Mac is then stuck in "authenticating" loop and the PC is stuck "waiting for Mac to connect."
- Both computers are connected on same network (have connected PC on WIFI and using ethernet to Reuter)
I have looked on support site and only response I saw says to reinstall Windows Migration Assistant (which I have done)
Any ideas? If cant get this to workare there instructions for manually bring across relevant data eg itunes music and apps, photos, picasa data etc?

Why not turn off the Windows firewall and uninstall any other firewall software you have installed?
If you are using a Norton product uninstall it and discard it. To fully unistall most Norton products you have to go to the Norton website and download a soecial program to completely get rid of it. The normal uninstall feature built into the program will not remove all of it.

Problem getting music from Ipod to Itunes

I have a 2nd Gen Nano and recently had to reinstall my operating system (Windows XP), which required me to back up my music. I had no external HD at the time and not enough discs so I sync'd my Ipod and stored all 812 songs to my 4GB Ipod. Now that I am back up and running, I have re-installed everything and again downloaded Itunes and authorized my computer (I only have one authorization left apparently, any way to fix this as well?).
The problem is that only songs I purchased from Itunes are in my Library. How do I get the 812 songs on my Ipod to my Itunes Library? I thought I could do it with a sync, but a window popped up saying that it would delete my current Library. I know little to nothing about computers so any plain speak will help. Thanks.

Be very careful when connecting an iPod full of music to an empty iTunes library.There is very real risk of permanently losing all the music.
To prevent auto sync, connect the iPod whilst holding down the 'control+shift' keys and do not let them go until your iPod appears in iTunes.
If you see a message that your iPod is associated with a different library and asks if you want to link to a new one, make sure you press "Cancel".
If you should click on "Erase and Sync" will erase all the content currently on your iPod and it will be replaced with the content of the iTunes library you just connected to.
When you've pressed cancel your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list under "devices" and allow you to change the update setting to manage the iPod content manually, and that will let you use your iPod for the time being without the risk of accidentally erasing the contents.
Then do any of the following to transfer your music from iPod back to the computer/iTunes.
For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola and iDump and iPodRobot.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.

Transferring music from old to new computer ?

hey!
so i tried following the tutorial for transferring music from my old computer to my new computer (both of them PC's) and i got as far as the "copy itunes folder into ipod then connect to new computer"
now the next step is to take that itunes folder outta my ipod folder and place it into "my music" and then delete the itunes folder from my ipod so i free up my memory again.
the only problem is i don't know where this "ipod folder" is located so i can't extract the itunes folder and now i have all this memory used up.
has anyone done this before because the PC version of the tutorial doesn't seem to be working. my question is what should this ipod folder look like and where can i find it?

Hi cynthia I know what your going through the same exact thing happened to me (I feel your pain and stress). You can use Windows Explorer to delete the folder it should be obsvisoly labeled I belive as "Itunes" and if you acidentally delete your music its already on your new computer anyway so all you would have to plug it in and it would sync...
