Nokia 6700 compatibility with tomtom go730

I use my tomtom go 730 for hands-free when driving; it connects through bluetooth. I am looking at getting a new phone and like the look of the nokia 6700 but have been unable to ascertain anywhere whether or not it would be compatible? Has anyone tried? Got any advice?

I use it with the Tomtom Go 520 and it works fine including downloading traffic information.
The only issue is that it only shows one number per contact even if you have multiple numbers but I think that is more of a problem with Tomtom!

  • Nokia 6700s - problem with the headfones

    hello,
    i'm icieWind, I reacently purchase a Nokia 6700s, I love it!
the problem is my head fones, they don't work. there is no sound, the microfone is ok but the fones...
well I have two headfones, so I tried them on. my Nokia only say : "use cellfone microfone" how can I resolve this? please help

Try the headphones in another phone or music player and see if they work and do the same with another pair on your phone this will eliminate if its the headphones or the phone you can use 3rd party headphones its ok,also check that they are fully inserted correctly you should hear a click noise.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Nokia 6700 - Issue with Contacts Settings

I just got the Nokia phone today and transferred the numbers across via my SIM card. Previously all my contacts were shown with the first name first. Only the first contact on my phone is like this now, the rest are last name first. I've tried changing this through the settings options but it doesn't do anything.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

    Dear Hazel,
Contact names on the phone memory has two fields i.e. Last name & First name. Contacts in the SIM has only one field and by default if you copy the contacts from SIM to Phone, names will be copied into the Last Name field on the Phone memory.

    Hi All,
I just purchased new Nokia 6110, but unfortunately when I connect it with my bluetooth car kit (CK-7W) the other partner which I'm calling hear a very bad noise and high Echo.
is there any solution for that echo ???

I have a nissan qashqai and although my 6110 connects with the bluetooth the phone will not make or recieve calls, when i try to make a call the screen in the car says No network, also I cannot send a business card to the cars memory to update the cars phone book

  • Nokia 6280 compatibility with full comms pack inst...

I have recently purchased a Z4 with full comms. pack but cannot get my 6280 to communicate - BMW have informed me that this phone isnt compatible and until Nokia upgrade the software it will never work. My contacts list has transfered and it has paired successfully but although it dials out I am unaware if it has been successful and I cant speak hands free, I have to use the handset which defeats the object! The unit rings when I receive an incoming call and it mutes the radio but yet again I have to manually answer the the phone. Is any one aware of any way I can get round this without having to install yet another bluetooth car kit? I am really upset about this as I had a nokia car kit installed in my Z3 which I have just sold which worked beautifully.

I'm having pretty much the same problem on my 6131 - have found that i can copy to the phone memory, though. The music tracks still won't then copy to my SD card, annoyingly 'cause it worked yesterday.. hmm. I've tried everything i can think of and would really appreciate any ideas!
I'm running PC suite 6.70.22, it's the only version that seems to recognise the phone, but i'm not sure this is relevant to the problem anyway as I still can't copy to the card using my Nokia Phone Browser. Memory card is a San Disk 1gb, which I can still create new folders etc in. Any other info that might give a clue?

  • Nokia 6700 - Issue with "0" button

    Hi all,
Just checking: On my 6700 the middle button in the last row ("0") has completely different (much worse) travel and response than all the other keys. Also the physical "click" is hardly nit there. As a result, when pressing "0" I have to press much harder then on the other keys and the key press feels "weak".
Do you have this on your phones as well? I love my 6700 (coming from s60) - great cam, sound, mail, battery - everything fantastic. The only complaint is that key.
What about your 6700? Same thing? Did you sent to repair?

All my keys are functioning fine here....well the first row of keys when pressed have a slightly louder click to them, but the difference is ever so small. Its probably due to the first row of buttons being more towards the centre of the phone.

  • Problem with Nokia 6700 Camera

after one month and several calls and fighting my telephon came back to be with camera
that because i trust nokia and i didnt try the telephon before purchasing as my telephon Camera didnt work since the purchasing time

  • Nokia 6700: how to read the full E-mail??

    Hi there,
When I am browsing the internet with my Nokia 6700 I can use the navigation key to scroll up, down, left and right. But when I am reading my E-mails. I can only scroll up or down, so I can not read the text which is on the right side of the E-mail... I have tried to change the settings (640 x 480 etc.), but the E-mail appearance did not change, nor did the size of the letters.
Does anyone know how I can change this?? It is kind of anoying that I am not able to read the full E-mail...
    Thanx!

As you guess, it is stored in the PSD, but only with the Maximise Compatibility switch. Without that switch, a dummy image is stored which has the text "This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image.", in English, German, Japanese and French.
    My program
psdparse extracts each layer in an 8-bit file as a PNG, and the merged image for both 8- and 16-bit files. That link is to a Subversion repository containing source code.

  • Support for nokia 6700?

I just purchased a nokia 6700 classic and there is a USB cable included in the package. When connecting to the PC it has PC suite as one of the options but when I go to the web page at www.nokia.no to download PC suite it does not list 6700 classic nor any other 6700 as a possible model. How, then, can I choose the right version?
In my opinion the web page should have been updated before the model was released to the market - I assume that Nokia here has done a mistake.
I also tried to connect the telephone as a data storage device but vista appear to have had problems with that - at least no drive appeared on screen as is usual when I connect a new USB device.
I run windows vista home premium and I use the USB cable to connect the phone to the computer.

    Hi,
    As per europe.nokia.com/pcsuite or
    http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-pc-suites/compatibility-and...
Nokia 6700 classic is compatible with Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.9, please do check system requirements and if it met the requirements you can install it on your PC

Just a note for people who are as non observant as I was and who might find this useful...
My Nokia 6700 slide wouldn't sync, no matter what I did and even when I installed:
    http://www.novamedia.de/en/mac-isync-plugins.html
    or wrote my own plugins...
For some reason, by default, my Nokia came with Sync settings disabled on the phone.
So to remedy this, go to:
    Settings > Connectivity > Sync >
And select all the things you want to sync before you run iSync.  I missed this in the manual, I spent about 8 hours trying to fix it and all to no avail until I found this simple ommission.
Also, if you need to uninstall the nokia isync plugin, just go to:
    /Library/PhonePlugins
    and delete the relevant files.
    Hope this is useful.

  • Nokia 6700 on support website....when??

Does anyone know when Nokia will update their website support / OVI areas to include the new Nokia 6700. This handset is now on sale in the UK (I have one) but when you try and download the PC software / OVI maps or get general support on the website it is as if the Phone does not exist. More importantly the software update "can i update screen" does not recognise the phone either.
I even tried contacting Nokia directly using the contact us section but even that did not include the new model? Their reply was usual default useless response......thanks Zoey !! not.
I am hoping that this will be resolved soon as my first Orange 6700 crashed and died on the first day of ownership and I am still waiting for a replacement to be sent.
What happened? - Phone was fully charged and all I did was launch the included game (snakes 3) on starting a new game the screen displayed what seemed to be the main home screen with "?" logos where all the onscreen frames are displayed. The phone then switched off and would not restart again. Leaving the phone without power for 1hr did not resolve this and phone is officially dead. Just hope replacement works a bit better than this

  • Compatibility with Windows Mobile 5.0 ?

Does anyone know if Flex apps would work on PocketPCs, ie.
    using Windows Mobile 5.0?
    I haven't purchased one yet, so I can't test.
At this link, Adobe identifies Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/
This page identifies FlashLite 2.1 which seems to be based on
    Flash Player 7
but includes Action Script 2.0 support:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashlite/
Does anyone know for sure? We'd like to do some monitoring
    & reporting
in Flex & make it available on the go for people, but
don't want to go buy the phones
until we know it is possible.
    Thanks

Can you see this on your device?

If so, then Flash is installed fine. Note, though, that Flash
    content will
only play when viewed in a browser (html file) or when
    embedded in an
application using ActiveX or similar. So if you are tryting
    to play a swf

  • Nokia 6700 USB cable connectivity problem -fixed-

Ok, got my 6700 today. Everything worked like a charm, until I tried to connect it to my PC using the supplied USB cable. I downloaded and installed the latest Nokia PC suite which supports this phone (7.1.30.9) and connected the phone. Vista was unable to install a driver, and the phone was listed in the device manager as 'unknown usb device'. The phone display reported 'no response from host' after plugging in the usb cable.
I searched online for a solution, and tried the following:
    - repaired the install of the Nokia connectivity cable driver: no success.
    - deinstalled the nokia pc suite, ran the pc suite cleaner, rebooted and reinstalled the pc suite: no success.
    - threw away the unknown usb device in the device manager and plugged the cable back in so that Vista would try to install the driver again: no success.
    - tried other USB slots (not behind HUB): no success.
At this point I was so frustrated that I decided to take out the supplied 1gb micro sd card and transfer some data to it using a card reader. When I looked in the root of the sd card, I noticed that there was an executable called pc-suite.exe there, among some other files. I decided to delete those files to see if they were causing the problems, I deleted the following files:
    - autorun.inf
    - launcher.exe
    - pc-suite.exe
    - qf
Replaced the micro sd card in the phone, plugged in the usb cable and voila: connection! Everything worked like a charm.
During my online search I noticed I wasn't the only one experiencing connectivity problems with the 6700. Maybe this fix will help other people as well, that's why I decided to post it here. ;-)
    Peter

Thanks Peter, nice job - same problem, your solution is working. Shame on Nokia - i have so many problems with E52, and now with 6700 - why ? Is it so difficult to make a reliable software ? So disappointed ... maybe Apple is the solution - but after 10 years with Nokia why change with Apple ?

  • Can I use iphone 4 with tomtom traffic?

I want to be able to connect wirelessly to my TomTom 720 to use their Traffic Service. I have managed to connect using Bluetooth and have managed to make a handsfree call, however I can't get the Traffic Service to work.
The TomTom website says that none of the Apple phones are compatable with their system, even though hundreds of other brand mobiles are. Do Apple plan to allow these services to be used, or do I need to buy an HTC?
Is there an app that will enable this?
Is there some other kind of work around?

If you want to do that, yes.

    Nope.

    Nope.
