Nokia e63 headphones not working.

Hello,
When I plugged my earphones into my e63, nothing happened. The sound wasn't coming through. It worked briefly for about 1 minute and then the sound just went back to coming out of the phone's normal speakers. Sometimes when I re-plug the earphones into the phone I get a message saying "Use phone microphone". Is any way I can fix this?

I have recently acquired this phone and despite the fact that it has a 3.5mm socket I have discovered that the headphones supplied have three (3) contacts - presumably one for operating the press switch. Normal headphones of course have only 2. To use as an MP3 player or watching You Tube etc at a reasonable volume means that you are stuck with those supplied and you have to hold the switch down all the time. If anybody know where to obtain an alternative set (without the push switch) then I would be interested.

I have purchased a new nokia e63 . i tried to use headphones provided by nokia it works fine with fm, but with music player output does not seems to on headphones , instead output is send to normal speaker.

Funny behaviour; it's the other way around on my E71.
Try this: while the music player is running, press the option key (usually the left soft key) and see there's a menu option to switch to the headphones.

Nokia 5310 - Headphones not working, only speaker ...

Hi all,
Am I missing something blatantly obvious?? I've just unwrapped my new 5310, plugged in a standard set of headphones (not the nokia ones) - but no sound comes out of them, just through the phone speaker
Should it work with any headphones, or am I tied to using Nokia ones? Headphones are OK and work everywhere else.
Also, when I plug in the headphones it displays: "Enhancement not supported"

Nokia 5310 has a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. So, theoretically it is possible to plug in any headphone having a compatible header. In your case, I guess the connector on the headphone is a bit longer, and because of that, it might be missing the contacts inside the jack. Pull out the connector sligthly, or press it in a bit, and see if it helps. Also, try a different set of earphones too, to confirm that your jack is working fine.

Assuming you have a Symbian device you can download the Store QML Client from HERE. Just log in with your Nokia account credentials, download the installer and transfer it to your phone. Then just tap on the file to initiate the installation wizard.
This will replace the Store Client that is on your phone and also installs the correct QT dependancies.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset

When in system preferences/sound/output do you see the headphones there? If so select them.
Try plugging the headphones in and out several times (there is a micro switch that can get stuck)
Try toggling the volume keys while plugging them in.
Try restarting with them plugged
Trya pram reset: with nothing connected
Power off, power back on holding the following keys:
OPTION COMMAND P R
continue to hold till you hear the start chime 2 times then release, rebbot.
If still no joy take it back to the Apple store, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to swap for another machine, or a refund, or have them fix it. Take full advantage of your warranty.

Non-Nokia headphones not working with N9

Heyo,
I tried plugging my Etymotic mc3 headphones into my N9, but the sound keeps playing through the speakers. The stock Nokia 'buds work, and the only difference between the two is that the Etymotics have inline volume controls. Will these buds simply not work with the N9, or is there some hope? What should I look for/avoid when shopping for new buds for my N9?

I finally found a great converter for non nokia headphones...
I bought AKG Q460 that are specifically made for iPhones and couldn't use the inline mic to talk and even the heaphones had that TV signal sound going thru. i bought a bunch of converters that didnt work. And finally bought one that actually works 100% with my AKG and my N9.

E63 equalizer not working in 400.21.013 software v...

My e63 had software version number 100.xx.xx when I first bought it and the music equalizer worked well then I updared it to version 200.xx.xx and the equalizer stopped working in headphones.then when the version 400.21.013 was out I thought the equalizer problem would be solved but now I am so disappointed as the problem remains in the new version.I really started getting disappointed about nokia software updates.also the builtin email client still disconnecting even if you set it to check the mail every 5 minutes (imap) all the day

I bought Nokia E63 just 20 days before, I found the equalizer doesnt work with the default nokia player, but it works fine with other third party players. I even upgraded the firmware to 400.21.013 and still same issue. I just borwsing online like a mad to get some free 3rd party player like lcg jukebox.. wher and how to esclate the issue to nokia, because local service center doenst know how to handle this issue since they are helpless.
Please anybody help me out to get a solution.. its waste of Rs.10000 for this mobile without a proper player now and do Nokia expect me to buy 3rd party software for player???????

Head phone in e63 is not working

Hi,
I have an e63 and I have issues lisiting to radio or music thru the nokia headset.. the volume is very low...
I acciently plugged the pin in certain angle and I hear the proper sound.. even a small shake disconnects my music...
Have any one come across such issue... or is ther any troubleshooting step

E63 Keypad not working at Times

I have E63 which i have purchased just 5 months back. Key pad works in bizzare manner, some time it works and some times it doesnt even respond. From past 2 days i couldnt unlock my phone since the unlock key is not working/responding, only the red(disconnect) key works. This happened many times in this month, the whole thing goes down for few hours and suddenly again it starts working. i have forcibly restarted the phone by removing and replacing the battery but no use. is there any mothd to format the phone, i have tried answerkey+*+3 it didnt work. Please help me out.

I too experience intermittent problems unlocking my E63-1. Often (once a month or so) I'll receive an SMS, go to unlock the keypad in the usual way, to find the top-left soft key does nothing.
The other buttons appear to work, in as much as pressing a key cancels the screensaver (clock) and pressing "red" (end/power) lights up the screen and keypad in the usual way. The phone clearly has not "crashed" as such, since it will accept incoming calls and text messages (and I can even send and read messages over a bluetooth connection!), but the keypad is simply ignored. The only way I've found to get back control of the phone is to pull out the battery to force a restart.
I can only assume it's a software problem, and I don't think there's a solution or even a workaround at present. As with so many problems, we can only hope that someone from Nokia is reading and decides to investigate: as I've previously mentioned in other threads there appears to be no feedback from frontline support to the phone developers. I hope someone proves me wrong!

Headphone Not Working!

Assalam u Alaikum, Everyone!
Actrually i upgraded The Window 8.1 to 10, Before windows 10 my headphones were working fine but when i started to use windows 10 , it is not working. jack is fine because it shows headphone detected in playback devices,even i select as default device despite of that headphones are not giving sound while speakers are fine.
If any solution is in your mind please to tell ,Thanks in advance
