Non iTunes downloaded songs not updating metadata in iTunes Match?

When I download a song to my computer and upload it to iTunes Match and set all the info it is not being reflected on my IOS devices. There are other songs with the same metadata but the new stuff won't fall in line. What am I found wrong? Please help! ( read like lelu Dallas from 5 the element for laugh)

Sorry aobut the delay, work stuff. It shows they are uploaded. These aren't song I bought on itunes, maybe I should've started with that.

Unable to download songs or update Podcasts

I have been using iTunes now for a few years and not experienced any real difficulties until now and have realised that it is very difficult to get support from Apple for the application itself.
The Fault
I am logged into iTunes using my iTunes id and trying to update my podcasts, download a new podcast or download a single (eg: the free single of the week) however iTunes fails to download the items.
The Symptoms
If I click "Get Song" to download a track and confirm I want the track by entering my password for my iTunes account, the application throws up the error below...
"Purchase of this item is not currently available
This item is being modified. Please try again later"
Clicking OK returns me back to the song that I was trying to download.
If I want to update or download a new podcast a small icon with an exclamation mark appears next to the podcast which was selected to download (either the update or new podcast).
On clicking on this exclamation mark the following message appears...
"There was a problem downloading "Mills:Making Laura cry. 18th Jan 07.". The required folder cannot be found.
Please check that the url is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."
Clicking OK on this returns me to the podcasts list where I am trying to update a podcast.
What I have already tried
Firstly I tried numerous different podcasts to make sure it simply wasn't the one I was trying to update or download. All are affected.
I have allowed a couple of days before trying to update or download again should there have been a general issue with iTunes or iTunes store.
I have removed the podcast from iTunes and tried to download it again.
I have ran a repair on iTunes.
I have performed a windows restore to a previous date when a podcast did update.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes with a fresh download from the apple site.
I have looked through all the settings within iTunes and can see no obvious setting which could be causing an issue.
I do have a working internet connection which iTunes has confirmed is working when I performed the iTunes network diagnostics from the help menu.
I have shouted at the laptop.
I have threatened my laptop.
I have threatened the iTunes application.
all to no avail!
I'm now really struggling to find a resolution to this.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Non-cumulative values do not update on report

hi,
I have created cube with non-cumulatives but on reports they are not updated. I can see values for inflow but not for non-cumul itself.
Does somebody knows what could be wrong?

what do you mean by date restriction?
Time reference char is 0calday, I have 0calday in validity table and tine char in query are 0calday and 0calmonth. I do not use restricted KFs in query.

Why are the stand alone installer download links not updated?

These links are downloading the older 10 version. Why are these not updated???????

Sncing non iTunes Match songs to iPad

I assume that this can't be done. I have a four hour program I record every Saturday night and it is then loaded into a playlist. Becuase it is over the 200 meg limit of songs it is not uploaded to iTunes Match. I have not found a way to sync that playlist to the iPad. Does anyone know if there is a solution or is this a feature that was not added to iTunes Match? Right now it seems that tunes that will sync on the iPad are only in the cloud. This seems to be a deal breaker for me since I almost always want to hear this program more then I do my tunes.

There is a way round this, although I haven't done it myself yet.
If you tell iTunes that it is a podcast or an audiobook then it won't try to match it, and I believe you will be able to sync it as before.
However, you need to change the type before adding it to iTunes. This can be done by using an App like Subler.
Maybe someone who has done this themselves may be able to give some more details.

SharePoint WSP deployment not updating List GUID to match target site?

We have done a "Save as Template" SharePoint site collection with a site and a sub-site saved as two WSP template files, including content. These deploy fine to our Staging server when we put them into a path-based site collection.
However, we are expected to use a host-named site collection. Deploying to that, when accessing a page gives “list not found” error on the top site and “Invalid Page Layout” error on the subsite.
Using ULS I can see that on the top site SharePoint is trying to access the Pages List using the GUID from our development server. The GUID for the actual Pages Library is different on the Staging server, as the Pages Library was created when the Publishing
Feature was activated. I don’t see any easy way to update the baked-in list GUID which normally SharePoint would update as part of the deployment. Especially as it is a system library.
In this
thread I did find that this was a known issue up until the November 2014 CU, however, having upgraded the server to the December 2014 CU we still have the problem.
I have also noticed that for our Page Layouts on the subsite SharePoint has not updated the URLs (they still point at out Dev Server), resulting in "Invalid page Layout" errors.
Any suggestions for how to tell SharePoint the correct GUID to use for our Pages Library would be appreciated.

The only solution to this was to change the dev server to use Host Named Site Collections. We exported the (path based) Site Collection and then reimported it using the Backup-SPSite/Restore-SPSite powershell from here:

We were then able to produce WSPs which the Staging server could understand - the lists updated correctly when deployed if the origin was a host-named dev site.

I use both iTunes Match and I backup my phone through iCloud. How do I get non-iTunes Match music on my phone?

So I have a lot of spoken-word MP3 files on my MacBook that are both too large and too low a bitrate for iTunes Match. Since I use iCloud to backup my phone, I don't manually sync my phone with my MacBook anymore.
How do I get these MP3s onto my iPhone's iPod app without deleting everything on the phone and manually syncing/backing up to my MacBook?

You would have to turnoff match to manually sync those files to your phone, the. Turn match back on so you can use it like you normally would for all your match able music. iTunes works the same way now with match and your music like it does for iCloud and your contacts and calendars. In order to prevent duplication, you can't sync with a cloud service and manually on a computer the same information, unless you temporarily disable the cloud-type service - in your case iTunes match

Can I tell iTunes not to download song purchases since I'm using match?

When I buy new albums on my iPad or iPhone , I don't want to download the songs since I'm using match. Is there a way to stop this? Why can't iTunes ask me when I purchase?

Itunes download list not updating

Hi, I have got an odd problem. I have an Ipod touch, which recently finished a batch of 250 downloads, I was expectting the ipod to get the next lot of downloads in terms of the downloads list automatically, but this has failed. I have tried pressing the downloads icon, which makes the ipod think for a bit and possibly talk with the itunws store, but the problem is according to Itunes I've got 199 downloads to download, but according to my ipod I have none.
I don't think I've changed any settings, and I was wondering if anyone else has experinced a similar problem and can tell me how to solve this, as I don't want t lug a laptop into town just to get to the Cambridge Genius Bar, to solve this when it weighs a tone it feels like and in addition, it could cause me extra problems on the mobility front on the top of the probvlems I have already so, if you can help it would save a lot of hassle and carryng a very heavy laptop especially on the buses.

Hi, Simply our connection is very slow, and downloading on the ipod means I can make use of high speed wifi hotstpots especially the free ones which just don't max out our connection especially one time when the total downloads reached 30gb which includes Itunes and this is what I want to avoid and as my laptop is just too heavy to cart around with me, using the Ipod is the omly real option to avoid making out a home connection which can cause problems for other people in the famiy.

Cmus not updating metadata

Hi everyone, after a lot of searching I think I found a replacement for mpd and it's cmus.
Since cmus doesn't crash when find "faulty" metadata, is lightweight, console oriented and can control it with global hotkeys (via cmus-remote), I'm keeping it.
Now I'm slowly correcting some metadata on the files (just some files per day) using easytag but cmus doesn't seem to recognize the changes. I'm using win-update and update-cache, but none seems to work, I've already executed :clear and reload my library and even erased the whole .cmus directory, but cmus doesn't update the tags!
I already checked using mplayer that the tags were really updated and they are. Any hint of what's going on?

@Army: Indeed, this problem is driving me nuts... maybe there is something I'm not doing/deleting...
@mdev: I saw that easytag leaves this mtime intact, and I'm going to change this, but as for now, the deleted files appear aforementioned.
I noticed something funny, it looks like cmus reads the proper tag info when playing the file but not when showing the file in the any other view!!! Now this is odd. I'm posting a screenshot to show the current behaviour

iTunes 10 for Windows: Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
- A 3G can go to iOS 5.1.1 and that requires iTunes version 10.5 or higher if the iPod does not already have iOS 5.
- What iOS version is on the iPod? Settings>General>About>Version?
Are you sure you have a 3G iPod and not a 2G? A 2G can only go to 4.2.1

Downloaded songs not on the Ipod

I downloaded 4 songs using the wi-fi internet directly from I tunes using my ipod. When I connected to my computer to transfer songs to the ipod i noticed the songs were no longer on the machine.
It recognises that I purchaed them but they are not there.

Make sure you authorize the computer that you want to copy the purchases to. Click Store> Authorize Computer.

Downloaded songs not synchronising

Hi, I downloaded an album with iTunes directly with my phone. I had to wipe my phone before backing up the phone. Once i have restored my phone, i managed to retrieve the album via my purchased items but now this album is not showing into my computer's. basically each time i synchronise my phone, the album does not sync in my computer. Newly downloaded but not updated?

Update failure, download error. It's the first time I'm downloading so why would it need updating? Does it not give the latest version at a time like this? Never seen this message before with any other programs. Should I just wait a couple hours and try again?

try putting it into DFU mode...
hold down the home and power buttons for 10 seconds
let go of power button, the screen should go black in 5seconds
plug ipod in... do restore

I am receiving updates from the Apps icon, but is not allowing me to update.

Go into Settings > General > International > Language and choose British English, then hit the Done button. The screen will go black with a comment about Language Settings. Be Patient, especially if you have a lot of apps. Let it run it's course and Then open the App Store again. Voila! Upgrade list is back. And it stuck when i changed back to plain English. He doesn't know why. I don't either. But I am now a happy camper. Worked on my 3rd gen iPad and iPad Mini.
