Not a happy Customer

Is anybody else in the community of Watersbend in Ft Worth, TX having problems with their Uverse service? Ours has been freezing up since Thursday 6-25-2015, apparently some sort of outage is broke and no service techs are working!? come on really? I dont believe that ATT is gonna let all their customers go without service for 5days & then some. yes i made appointments for a tech to go, no shows, they could have at least called to cancell. 

hmm im really surprised that you have not has resolution from the updates and have seed to have almost every problem possible. im thinking mattzani may be right for the swelling issue (thats at elast what part of the issue sounds like.
all the KB/TP issues sound like you will have to get that assembly replaced (under warranty)
if the battery has swelled that should be replaced (again under warranty)
if you are getting that many Kernel panics even after a reinstall start taking usb/fire wire devices out or try and see what the KPs are saying caused them (a lot of times it will be a 3rd party driver or a connected device). with a clean install that shouldnt be happening (i can count on one hand the KPs ive had over the last 5 years on 2 different machines and most of them i traced and figured out what caused them but it was a 3rd party piece of software that i couldnt give the maker solid info to go off of)
having to hard power off that many times a day is a huge red flag that something is up. i may have to hard power off 2-3 times a month max and most of those is when i try to shut down ore restart and just let the log out process take care of quitting and safari freezes up on exit.
you should at least call up apple and get a case number with all your info in it so when you can send it in or take it in everything is there and the know whats up. try and stay as calm as you can and polite and you may even be able to just get a new machine all together with these many issues. if you can get to an apple store in person you may have faster turn around if they will exchange the machines. if they will just replace your old one you can probably get the new machine first, transfer data and clear you old disk then send back in the same box

    If you want to use the "newest updated whatever available." then you would have to buy the newest hardware that supports that. iPad 2 is not the newest hardware available and it can't/does not support siri.

  • Droid X issues...Not a happy customer :(

    I am having a few issues and I just wanted some input on my problem. I originally purchased a Droid 2 Global and didn't love it as much as I thought so I returned to the store and did an exchange for the Droid X. I like the device for the screen size and the camera quality (which is stunning!). Keep in mind I have called technical support before going to the store for each new phone.
    My first Droid X would randomly take black blank images when using the camera and I use the camera a lot since I have a 14 month old niece living with us and we like to capture lots of memories This one also had dust under the screen. I had the phone less than a week and when I took it back to the store they immediately swapped it for another brand new X.
    The second one a few days later had the same intermittent camera issue and dead pixels on the screen. I took it back to the store again and they again replaced it with a new X.
    This third X appears to have no screen issues but the camera issue persists. I called technical support who apologized about all the issues and asked if I would talk to a Verizon Technician who logs issues with phones into a database so they can work on fixes and see if there is a trend in the issues I am having. I agreed to do so. I got to a nice woman who took all my information and logged the issues. She said they have had a few customers call in with the same exact complaint but it wasn't frequent because she believes because it works some of the time they don't bother calling. She then asked if it would be okay with me if she conferenced a Motorola Technician into our call to also log the issue with them. I agreed. Motorola got on the phone and got the MEID numbers for all threee phones and my email address and he said they have quite a few complaints about the same issue and that they appreciate the feedback. The woman from Verizon then asked if Motorola had any input on when and if there would be a fix. He said they didn't know what was causing the issues so there was nothing as of now and we relieved him from the call. She then asked me if the issue was bothersome and I said yes it was but I really like the Android system and all that. She said if it bothered me I should take it back to the store again and have them move me to a different Droid device, such as Fascinate or back to my Droid 2 Global. I was already aware that you get one swap from a device to another device in 14 days and I had already done that. She then told me that because of the issues this swap was considered different and that she would note the account so that when I went to the store they would go ahead and do it without issues. She was very nice and recommended a few phones for me and I left for the store....
    I got to the store and walked in and they asked me how they could help me. I said it was a long story but technical support troubleshooted the phone with me and the phone has had the same recurring issue as the others. She pulled the account up and saw the notes and said oh they want you to move to a different device. It so happens to store manager was sitting there playing a game on his Galaxy S Tablet and asked if I used the camera a lot and if so I would like the Incredible or the iPhone 4. I said I didn't want an iPhone. I wanted another Droid. He looked at the notes and the account after offering me whatever Droid I wanted since they were all 199.99 or less like I had paid and then said that I had already did an exchange and that he refused to do another swap. He then also said about the X having a mechanical shutter and sometimes they stick but to deal with it and to not bring the phone back until the camera "refused to take pictures alltogether".
    I am so upset. I looked like a complete idiot and he made me feel so stupid. He talked to me like a little kid. They also accessed the account without any verification other than asking me what my cell phone number was. They never had me verify the last four of my social like they should have as well.
    I then called customer service again and they immediately saw that the store should have honored what the representative noted with Motorola and that they should have did the exchange without an issue but they could only do refurbished devices. She tried to offer me a Droid Eris...It's retired and she wouldn't refund the 199.99 I paid for the phone regardless.
    Any ideas on what to do? I am so upset

    What I have learned that this type of issue usually comes from the stores location, I know it shouldnt make a diffrence but some employees in curtian areas seem to approuch customer service a bit wrong, did you try tp go to another store, I know its a pain and you shouldnt have to do this but this is just a trick that works for me?  I hope under this situation that this was just a situation with bad management.
    Now as for the issue you are having with camera is kind of strange one because I use my camera pretty heavy without any issues so far... Knock on Wood..

    Where do I even start! I called about 4 times had issues with my dial tone on my phone. Had the same customer service rep attend my call did not help at all but dislike her attitude and her way of customer service very rude and unprofessional. I had the same issue happen to me before and did not have this entire drama go on like this, but my issue was taken care off right there and then. Her name was alissa or elissa one of those I was very upset then she hanged up on me. I called back this time i had a man for a representative and he then transfers the call to the same rep female and she raised her voice at me. I was hanged up once more i called again asked to speak to the supervisor another customer service female rep did the same thing and said she'll help me and was testing my phone line and while I was using my cell to call her she hanged up again. I've never been so disappointed with comcast after all the years I've been using their service.. now I would have to decide if i still want to keep using their cable services.

  • Just added FIOS TV and not too happy

    Have had FIOS Internet for 2+ years and finally decided to bite the bullet and try out the TV side - opting not to cancel my Dish Network service until I was sold on my new TV choice.
    So after 4 days here is my review:

    Audio and video quality is fantastic. Definately an improvement over my Dish
    Subscribed to the Prime package with the free Movie package and my bill went up only $20. Gotta love that!
    Absolutely love On Demand. After having satellite for almost 4 years - forgot how nice of a feature this is.
    Media manager is very cool. Was able to remove my "Media PC" which I had hooked up strictly to be able to listen to my 18,000+ song music collection and view my thousands of digital photos

    When changing channels -there seems to be a slight delay in between. Not nearly as bad as DirecTV - but definatekly not as smooth as my Dish service
    Experienced many dropouts,brief freezes and stuttering when watching both regular TV as well as an On Demand movie.
    Remote distance. My couch has a clear line of site to the box - and is only 12 feet away. Not sure if I may have a bad remote ( I already changed the  batteries) or possibly a bad box. All I know is that unless I was aiming the remote directly at the box - I was finding myself having to re-enter my selections - volume, menu, channel etc... multiple times before the action took place.
    Can't stand not being able to pause Live TV anywhere in the house with the exception of the room where the DVD is located. Dish's 622 DVD has had this feature forever - and this feature alone will probably be the primary reason as to why I will be keeping my Dish subscription. Was told by a Verizon rep that the only way to "fix" this would be to upgarde by STB to DVR's
    Would love to hear everyon'e feedback - especially the few points regarding the remote and dropouts.

    Welcome to FiOS TV and the Forums. I hope you wind up being a happy customer.
    Re your dislikes:
    1) Delay changing channels. Are you using an HDMI connection? If so, is the delay when switching from an HD channel to an SD channel or vice versa? If so, the reason is the need for the STB to re-sychronize the connection between the STB and the TV. You can eliminate this delay by:
    Menu ==> Settings ==> Video Settings ==> SD Override ==> Off
    The SD picture may be slightly worse but I have found I much prefer the channel change to be immediate. Plus I don't watch much SD any more
    2) Dropouts, freezing, and stuttering: I think this usually indicates a signal strength issue. You might want to recheck all of the connections from the ONT to the splitter to the STB. You apparently have more than one STB, does it occur on each?If so that would indicate to me a problem between the ONT and the splitter, or a problem from the central office to your house.
    In the Menu there is a section called Customer Support; there are several diagnostic tools you can run there that might help identify the problem source. There is also a "hidden" menu in the STB where you can get detailed signal information on any channel, but lets see if the above helps before we delve into that.
    And you aren't trying to share any of the coax between FiOS and Dish by any chance are you? That would be a no-no.
    3) Remote distance. For my DVR I somewhat experience the same thing. For my SD boxes, no, much more forgiving. I have no idea why, all boxes are made by Motorola, but there clearly is a difference.
    Many people have also reported problems with their HD boxes when using a flat screen TV, mostly plasma but sometimes LCD, when they have it set to "bright" or some similar setting. Some flat screens apparently emit IR signals that interfere with the IR signal from the remote to the STB. You could perhaps check your TV settings to see if you can find one that has an effect, or you could try moving the STB away from the TV temporarily and see if the problem disappears. If so then it is almost certainly TV IR interference.
    4) Can't pause live TV from anywhere in house (I am assuming you have the Multi-room feature on the DVR). True, can't do it with FiOS. Yes, if you get DVRs for each location, then you can pause at that location, but then you can't watch a recording on one TV from a DVR attached to another TV. That function is supposedly coming, but is not available now.

  • Not very happy with warranty replacement

    I am not trying to get something for nothing when I make the statement that I am not happy with the replacement touch that apple sent me for my almost out of warranty touch that completely stopped working. I am happy with the customer service, the easy return and very quick replacement. I am not completely happy with the touch that was sent to me. I can't say that is broken, it is just doggish and seems to have a really short battery life. It really seems slower then my previous touch and has seems to do odd things often, like I open a simple app (like the calendar)and it opens for a second and closes immediately or the response to touch is very slow at times. There is nothing really wrong with it but this is the 3rd own I have owned and it is by far slowest and least responsive. Does anyone have any opinion on if I have any recourse?
    Also, When I put in the serial # of this replacement, which I received on the 1st of this month, Apple website tells me that the warranty has expired. I know this to be wrong because of the paperwork enclosed with the replacement said thae warranty is 90 days or remaing period, whichever longer.

    Send it (or take it to an Apple store with all the relevant paperwork) and get another one.
    I bought 3 Touches in the middle of January for my kids and the youngest one's was similar; slow, bad battery life, wierd backlight glitch, apps crashing. Took it to the local retail store and they replaced it with no hassle. I didn't even have my receipt. It was a 4th gen so obviously was less than a year old.

    New to the forum!
    After 11.5 years, we've just moved everything from Sky to BT.
    I've been reading the forums almost daily from ordering to today, and must say that there isn't a lot of positive feedback / thanks.
    So, I'd just like to say 'Thank You' so far, BT.
    Installation went without a hitch, broadband speeds have been prettry much constant, but always right up near the quoted speed, and customer service have answered all questions along the way.
    Yes there were a few of hiccups along the way: Having to go online and activate 1571 myself, being unsure on the ESPN status (I'll post about that in another forum) and being sent a HomeHub 3.
    The 1571 thing I can see why I had to activate it (in case I had an answer machine) and it was easy to do. Would have been nice to know I had to do it, though lol.
    The ESPN thing should be ironed out in time for the whole switch over thing, so all's cool. (I've asked in the correct forum about this, not after an answer here.
    And the HomeHub 3 thing, I've bought a HomeHub 4 (£35 offer) and it's installed and working without a hitch so I guess we're cool :-)

  • "Could not complete the custom command because the ICC profile is invalid"

    I got the above message when I attempted to soft-proof an image in Photoshop CC on Windows 7 64-bit. 
    I had downloaded the ICC profile from drycreekphoto.com, specifically:
    http://www.drycreekphoto.com/icc/Profiles/IccFiles/Arizona/Costco-AZ-Tucson-NW-Lus.icc
    and installed it by right-clicking on the downloaded file and selecting "Install profile"
    Windows installed the profile in the following directory:
    C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color
    Then in Photoshop CC, I did
    View -> Proof setup -> Custom
    But when I selected the above profile from the dropdown list, I got error message
    "Could not complete the custom command because the ICC profile is invalid"
    Does this mean that the profile is really invalid, or am I doing something wrong?
    FYI I am new to color management.  This was my first attempt to soft proof an image.

    I can't quite figure out how it got that way - it has part of an ICC profile structure, but quite a bit wrong.  Even debugging tools can't read it as an ICC profile.
    It's probably the one file - let drycreek/costco know so they can replace it.

    I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a
    When I try to print to a custom print size (2.75" x 6" in my case), I get the same error everyone else is reporting: "Paper detected does not match paper size or type selected. Make sure the paper size or type is correct to continue the job."
    I am currently trying to print using Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 version 14.4.5, but I have the same problem with printing from Adobe Reader 9.8.5 or Preview 8.0.
    I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.
    My printer's firmware is "up to date" as of 28-Aug-2014.
    This is what I did:
    1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
    2. Click on the Printers & Scanners icon.
    3. Click on the + sign under the list of printers to add a printer
    4. Click on IP
    5. Enter my IP address in the Address field (verified as "valid and complete host name or address")
    6. Ignore Protocol field (default is Line Printer Daemon - LPD)
    7. Ignore Queue field (default is blank for default queue)
    8. Ignore Name field (default is IP address)
    9. Ignore Location field (default is blank)
    10. Under the Use dropdown menu, I select "Select Software"
    11. HP Deskjet 9800 is not an option.
    I searched for 9800, but there is no HP printer with that number in the options.
    I tried selecting "HP DeskJet 980C - Gutenprint v5.2.3" to see if that would work, but I received the same error message as above. I tried selecting other random HP printers, but so far I've had no luck.
    I've been googling about for a way to manually add a printer driver to this "Select Software" list, but I've found nothing (apparently, no one else wants to do this). I did not find a driver download for the HP DeskJet 9800 for OS X Yosemite 10.10 on the Drivers & Software section of the hp.com website.
    Additional details on settings for Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 version 14.4.5:
    Selected File > Page Setup from menu
    Under the Paper Size drop down menu, I selected manage custom size.
    - Click + to add a paper size
    - Enter "2.75" in width and "6 in" height in the paper size fields.
    - Enter "0 in" as the User Defined Non-Printable Area for top, left, right and bottom.
    - Double-clicked Untiled in the custom size list and rename the size as Receipt
    - Click OK to return to the Page Setup dialog box
    Under Settings: Page Attributes:
    - Format for "HP Officejet Pro 8600"
    - Paper size: Receipt
    - Orientation: "tall/portrait"
    - Scale: 100%
    - Click OK
    Select Format > Document and set all page margins to 0.25"

    I have a scenario that, we have done the delivery, Invoice, Excise Invoice and the goods have moved to customeru2019s place (in transit) but they have not reached to customer, and due to some reason goods have come back to the Factory. And the same goods will be sent after a week. What are all the processes I need to do at plant level?
    My plant is Excisable.
    Plz suggest me.

    As suggested by u, I have done the processes i.e.
    1.Return order created with respect to billing doc No
    2.Retun delivery (PGR)
    3.Return for credit (VF01)
    "4.Cancel Excise Invoice (J1IEH)"
    5.Updated RG23A Part-II.
    fourth process mentioned above is wrong.  You should not cancel the original excise invoice.  Only you have to make  necessary adjustments in J1IH.
    For updation of excise related sales returns, run T.Code J1IH and do the following:-
    Customer Credit
    Choose the Additional excise input the original excise invoice reference, document year, company code, plant and excise group and execute. There input manually what value you need to give credit and save.
    Cenvat Debit
    Choose Other Adjustment and here also, maintain the datas whatever you input as above and save.
    Once you do this exerecise in J1IH, the relative registers will get updated.

    While loading data through infosource 0CO_OM_WBS_1 to
    data target 0IMFA_1 loading failes and the reason given is that the system reads data from PSA table /BIC/B0001060000 of 0IM_FA_IQ_9 and the index generated for this table supplied return code 14.
    I found no notes in the subject - with the syntax :
    Index for a PSA table is not in the "customer" namespace.

    I think you need to speak to your basis guys / DBA as index created on PSA table is not in your tablespace. He should be able to help you.

  • FBL1N not picking up customer itesm

    Hi Guru,
    could you please share your expeirence is such issue where we are running FBL1N, Vendor line item report with selection creterion for Customer Lines apart from Normal items.
    Normally system picks up Vendor line items and also customer line items, if customer and vendor are linked to each other. but in a particular case system is not picking up customer lines, its only showing vedor lines. Also when I run FBL5N for customer which is linked to same vendor where there is a problem, system work correctly and it shows customer lines as well as vendor lines.
    It would be great if you can suggest your idesa as to why system is behaving in such a way.

    Please go to SD> Basic function > text control> Define and Assign Text Determination Procedures and in that screen, check the customer sales and distribution change view customer sales text and sales note for customer and its assignment .
