Not able to resize my objects in Nested iview

Dear all,
This is how I created my dashboard.
Model -> iview -> Layers(tabs) -> Each layer has various forms, queries and charts.
Now I have changed it to
Model -> iview -> Layers(tabs) -> Nested iview-> Each Nested iview has various forms, queries and charts.
Can you suggest the best approach in terms of flixibility and performance.
When I introduced a Nested Iview I amd not able to resize my objects ( table, chart, forms etc). I am not sure why. When I go into nested iview and go to Layout tab I see a blank page and can see nothing.
Could anyone help me please.
Also I would appreciate if anyone can suggest me the best practice for creating a dashboard.

Hi,
Yes you are correct.
to make good Layout for Nestedview contents drilldown to the Nestedview and then go to its layout there you can make the Chages to layout.

Hello Sir,
Recently, I have installed oracle 12c in my PC. And I am able to connect with the ANONYMOUS user and connection name ORCL.
But I am not able to create any objects in database like tables creation, it's just showing the error message like- you don't have sufficient privileges.
Could you please help on this? How to start the work on oracle 12c database as I have worked on Oracle 11g with the SCOTT user and connection name ORCL.It was working fine. But SCOTT user is not present in 12c. Is there any other USER in 12c with the default tables like EMP table in 11g in the SCOTT USER schema?
Please suggest, what to do?

Normaly after IOBJ Installation from BI Content you wil not be able to see that in the modeling.
For this follow the steps
1. Goto RSD3 and enter the IOBJ and click on enter.Then you will be able to know active or not.I hope it will exist.
2. Now u want to mainatain that IOBJ in u r catalog.Open u r catlog and maintain u r object.

Adobe Plugin not able to access COM object in Protected mode

We have an adobe plugin for our application. The plugin creates a toolbar button in Adobe and on clicking this button, it invokes one of the form from our application to save the document record for the PDF file in the database. The plugin was working fine till Adobe 9. It stopped working in Adobe X with proctected mode ON. However, if we turn off Protected mdoe, it works fine.
I did some research and found that we need to modify the policy rules by creating ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt file and appropriate registry for it. I did those steps and now I am not getting "Access denied" error when protected mode is ON but the plugin is still not working. On further debug, I found that it fails while trying to connect to SQL Server. It gives error "SSL Security Error". This is working perfectly fine without protected mode. Also It is not able to access COM objects. I guess both these things might be related.
Can anyone let me know what are we missing here?

I would recommend that open a formal support case, as working with Protected Mode is quite complex.

Does the user who would like to change the screen have the authorisation
for S_DEVELOP in his profile? Please run transaction /NSU53 after the
failed authorisation. You will get an information which authorisation
is missing.
Additional please check if you have open entries in transaction SPAU for
that object.
If you couldn´t solve the issue I need an user to analyse it in your
development system.
That user needs all authorisation for development and has to be
registrated as developer.
The system uses the authorization object S_DEVELOP for Workbench objects
can you please check your user master record whether it contains the
required autorization or not.

Not able to merge dimensions objects on webi report based on SAP query

We are using SAP BI 7.0 , BO XI 3.1 sp1
I have two queries in webi report. These two queries are based on the same universe. I am not able to merge dimensions from both queries as merge dimensions functionality is greyed. Two dimensions are of the same type (char) and are dimensions (not the details).
Does anyone know the reason?

First check your user ID has rights for merge dimension.may be you can try on other universe and see if it is still grayed out then possible rights issue.

In addition to what Nishant said, the PDB databases are not opened by default.
You must open them manually or create a trigger to do it.

11g R2: not able to deploy any objects

I've got a huge problem:
Since today I am no longer able to deploy any objects to our integration server.
Normally we deploy our objects from our design repository to our integration-db with help of an expert.
First I thought it would be an error of the expert. But then I tried to deploy a object directly from the controlcenter of the
integration-repository.
The problem is, I get no error. The deployment starts and shows all the time that green error in control center.
Nothing has been changed since the last deployments.
We only saw a warning, that some passwords of some db-users were expired. So we used the same passwords and
all user work correctly.
Anyone got a idea?

Now I have the problem, that our last logfile was created on 11/04/2010. Strange...
I'm sure, we have deployed something since this date.
I will speak to our admin, to restart the control center service.
Hopefully a new logfile is created...

Not able to see deployed component while creating iView from "Portel Conten

I have import "com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par"; in NWDS and then give name "Custom Logon" then I have deployed this by "Create/Export PAr File" functionality within NWDS.
Now I logon to the "/irj/portal/....." by using "Administrator" and try to create iView base on deployed "Custom Logon" par file but I could not able to see it to create iView base on "Custom Logon" component.
Can any one tell me what mistake I am making here?

I followed all your mentioned step except I changed project name to "CustomLogon"
I copied "com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar,umelogonbase.jar" file under "PORTAL-INF/lib" directory in NWDS I deployed it through NWDS.
I log in portal by Administrator and try to create iView by selecting create iView base on PAR file but I am not able to see "CustomLogon" portal component.
My question is "Do I have to create Abstract portal Compnent?"
As in "CustomLogon" project which I has imported does not contain any Java Class for Abstract Portal Component........
Pl. explain me where I am making mistake.
I think I have to create "AbstractPortalComponent" Please correct me If I am wrong.

Not able to see the objects in DSO Display but available in object list

Hi All,
I am facing a weird issue in DSO.
When I am right clicking DSO and selecting the Object list I am able to see all the (30) objects,
But when I am right clicking the same DSO and selecting Display I am able to see only some objects (20) objects.
DSO is in Active and execute version only.
Can any one tell me what may be reason for that. Because whenever I am trying to transport I am getting the error.

what does th error message say ...are those info objects u are trying to add in active state?... If u are deleting any info object from the dso make sre u have deleted the data from that dso in the terget system before the transport

Not able to resize and make a partition of my startup disk

Hi, I'm running Lion on a late - 2010 15 inch MBP and I already have a Boot Camp partition of Windows 7. I wanted to partition my hard drive again to install Ubuntu (which should be relatively painless). I tried out the live CD to get a taste of what it would be like, and actually tried partitioning from there, which did not work. So I booted back to OSX and went to Disk Utility, selected my drive and tried to resize my Macintosh HD partition to make space for a 4ish GB partition for Ubuntu. I hit Apply, but then I get this error:
Partition failed with the error:
File system resize support required, such as HFS+ with Journaling enabled.
My Macintosh HD is of type Mac OS Extended (Journaled), and my Bootcamp is NTFS. I see EFI and Recovery HD partitions that I haven't seen before, but I understand they have always been there but were hidden.
I tried repairing disk permissions, and it works for the Macintosh HD, but when I try for the entire drive I get this error, even though I clearly have an EFI system partition that I can see:
This disk doesn’t contain an EFI system partition. If you want to start up your computer with this disk or include it in a RAID set, back up your data and partition this disk.
I ran diskutil disk in Terminal and this is what I get. Looks alright to me:
