Not able to trun test_fwktutorial.jsp

Hi,
I am getting following error when trying to run the Test JSP.
I hae setup Jdev in my local system.Tutorial.jws has been Rebuilt with No errors
The system cannot find the file http://xyz.abc.com:8988/OA_HTML/test_fwktutorial.jsp
How can I solve it?
Thanks,
Gowtam.

Hi Avaneesh,
The link http://xyz.abc.com:8988/OA_HTML/test_fwktutorial.jsp was just an example.
The actual URL contains the local system name instead of xyz.abc.com
and it is
http://gowtam.companyname.com:8988/OA_HTML/test_fwktutorial.jsp
When I run the test JSP, I see following lines in the Log Window.
Ready message received from Oc4jNotifier.
Embedded OC4J startup time: 12781 ms.
Auto-deploying OA Framework web application deployment descriptor (New server version detected)...
Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.1.0) Containers for J2EE initialized
Then I get following error in a pop up.
Cannot find the file 'http://gowtam.companyname.com:8988/OA_HTML/test_fwktutorial.jsp'(or one of its components).Make sure the path and filename are correct and that allrequired libraries are available.
Whn I click ok I see the same error description in Log Window
The system cannot find the file http://gowtam.companyname.com:8988/OA_HTML/test_fwktutorial.jsp.
I have checked OA_HTML within JDEV_USER_HOME/myhtml and files are present there.
Have you ever faced such error while setting up and running JSPs from Jdeveloper in local system?
Thanks again,
Gowtam
Thanks,
Gowtam.

  • Why some coms not able to load certain JSP pages?

    Hi according to above,
was thinking of creating jsp pages, but there seems to be occasional problems of not able to view jsp pages even though the computer has the updated JRE and has also try other browsers and had also reinstall JRE for a few times.
Anyone know how to resolve this issue? The only method is I know is to format the computer and reinstall windows. Is this a windows issue or a jsp issue?

i think you're confused. Applets need to have a local JRE on the client, JSP and servlets do not. All the java action in a JSP is performed on the SERVER, not the CLIENT. The server merely spits back to the client HTML (and possibly javascript) code just like any other static HTML page.
Therefore, no web browser have ever not been able to view a JSP page. There may have been JSP pages that used JavaScript that doesn't work in all browsers, or JSP pages that returned invalid or browser specific HTML pages. But that's not JSPs fault.
JSP --> No client JRE required.

can anyone help me..n can also tel me which version of eclipse i should use. and how to configure eclipse so that i can see the properly highlighted syntax of java code.

I would advise against reverting to very old versions just because you can't get the new versions to work. Try to read the installation instructions and manuals of the new versions and try to get those to work.

    HI Prabhat,
Thanx for your reply, I worked out and able to receive the data in oracle database, Actually there was some problem in insert Query. Now I have tested the same... and able to edit the same in the Database.....
But I am facing a new problem, Http Dispatcher in SES console is displaying all the Events generated as well as event in Que but there is no events in the Event Send. I guess it is not able to send the events.....?????
Event statical is showing like this
    Events Received: 0 (0.00/sec)
    Events Generated: 311 (0.19/sec)
    Events Sent: 2 (0.19/sec)
    Queued Events: 309 (0.19/sec)
Kindly suggest where is the problem, Is it a JSP problem or OSES end problem.....
    Thanks and regards

  • Not able to run Applet after calling JSP with a Servlet

    Dear Java-Community :)
At first I want to say, that my English isn't the best.. so I hope you'll understand my problem ;)

    /jaw6c/webapp/build.xml
/jaw6c/build.xmlThe applet should be loaded in my "darstellungErgebnisse.jsp"-File.
    Now the strange situation:
When I access "darstellungErgebnisse.jsp" DIRECTLY by entering a URL like "localhost:8080/jaw/darstellungErgebnisse.jsp" , the applet is loading perfectly !
But when my server is forwarding me to the JSP-Site with
    RequestDispatcher dispatcher =  getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher(destinationPage);
    dispatcher.forward(request, response);
    . . . . . . . ..I'll get a ""java.lang.ClassFormatError: Incompatible magic value 1008813135 in class file diagram
" -Error what means (referenced on the articles I've read here), that the diagram.class Is not found !
I have tried to put the class file in a JAR, in different locations... using the codebase and archive tag but NOTHING solved my problem.
    So my question:
Why I'm able to access the JSP-File directly and seeing the applet but after forwarding to the JSP-File via the Servlet, I'm not able to see anything.
    Would appreciate your help
    Thank you and best regards
    Edit:
    1) I'm able to download the diag.jar and diagram.class file from different locations
2)I recognized, that after using the servlet, my url is changing from
    localhost:8080/jaw
    to
    localhost:8080/jaw/controller
I tried added the class file to the position, where the controller-class file is, but without sucess.
    3)Opening the class-file with a hex-editor shows me, that
    the first bytes are
    "CAFEBABE0000002E02B9070002010007"

Like I mentioned before, I recognized (maybe a little to late), that my path is changing when I'm using the servlet :
    localhost:8080/jaw
    to
    localhost:8080/jaw/controller
(made by url-pattern in my web.xml).
So when my JSP tries to acces the class file, It's looking at:
    localhost:8080/jaw/controller/applet/diagram.class
    but the file is in:
    localhost:8080/jaw/applet/diagram.class
So the solution is, to but a codebase-tag in my applet-declaration with following delcaration "basedir="../applet"
I hope I'll help somebody with the same problems. It took me a day to find out, that the solution was two points and a slash..... lol
    Regards to everybody

  • Not able to log-on workspace/shared services after new inst thru index.jsp

    Dear Specialist Team,
I m Kalyan, new to HFM product installation. I have completed successful EPM installation with the help of user guides from Oracle.
Installed on my local machine, able to work on Planning / Essbase Admin server, but not able to log-on to workspace and shared services on the local host link.
Checked many things like Services running properly, Diagnostics report. All are positive. Using IIS 7.
I m able to see this link "*http://localhost:9000/workspace*/", when I click on the Launch Application a blank window gets opened on Popup and nothing is visible it says loading for long time on this link "*localhost:9000/workspace/index.jsp*".
Tried using different browsers, but unlucky. Is there anything I m missing with java or browser or something else?
Please help me to sort this, so that I can log-on and proceed with application usage.
    Regards,
    Kalyan

John's support document related to the browser settings is the best, however if you do not have access to support document or are using Firefox you can try installing an add on found at -->
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/
    and restart Firefox...
Once the browser is restarted..you can find the add on at Firefox --> Web Developer --> Remote XUL Manager
Add the URL, that you are using to access workspace and try to load it. If everything is good, you should be able to see workspace/shared service page.
    Thanks.

  • Not able to run the SRList.jsp in ADF Tutorial

When I try to 'Run' the SRList.jsp of the ADF Tutorial from the JDeveloper, I am getting a prompt to enter a 'Username' and 'Password'. When I submit my System 'Username' and 'Password', it is not accepting. Can someone tell me why I am being asked to authenticate, as ideally it should not ask for the same.
I am working on a corporate system which is behind a proxy server. But my Systems Administrator told me that this error is related to the Application and it has nothing to do with the proxy settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Venky

    Hi Frank,
Thanks for the timely help. Giving sking(not in upper case, as mentioned by you) and welcome as username and password respectively did help. I am now able to run my Jsp pages.
    Thanks, again.

  • Not able to create a web project with jsf or jsp or struts or spring

    Hi,
I am trying to create a dynamic web project with jsf or jstl or struts or spring or any of web options available for a web project, but I am not able to do it.
When I choose any of these options, the wizard asks me to "select an existing jstl/jsf/Spring 2.0 library, or click Add to add a new library." and since it doesn't show any existing libraries there, I clicked on add new library. When I click add, it opens a new dialog box where it has two options :
    1. to use spring/jstl/jsf lib from bea web site - when I choose this option, it tries to connect to the bea web site and gives me error that "connect time out". I don't know why it is not able to connect to the internet. I am not able to see the help also. There it gives error "The requested URL could not be retrieved".
    2. to use libraries from an existing spring installation - I provide the path of a directory where spring lib are, but then it gives me error that this is not a valid installation.
On another machine, I am able to see the help contents, but still not able to get these libraries from the bea site.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sushma

    Hi Sushma,
The issue you are facing has been addressed and will be part of the next release. For the current release, please follow the steps listed below.
Send an email to [email protected] with details on specific facets you are trying to enable on your project.
You will be provided with a url where you can download the required jars and details on how to manually add the jars to the workspace which will prevent the download on demand scenario.
    Cheers
    Raj

  • Not able execute or run a OAF page from JDeveloper

I am trying to run an OAF page in JDeveloper. I am getting the below error message.
You are trying to access a page that is no longer active.
    - The referring page may have come from a previous session. Please select Home to proceed.
All Framework Pages should have a Function defined on the page when MAC Lite is enabled and the URL MAC Check fails.
I thought if I run the JRAD file directly, JDeveloper was not able to create the session. So I tried running the OAF tutorial's "test_fwktutorial.jsp".
JSP page runs fine. When I click "Hello world" or other link which invokes an JRAD page then I am getting the above error.
    Can anybody help me.
I also checked the project settings.
Project Settings -> Common -> Oracle Applications
    1) MDS XML path ("C:\oracle\JDeveloper\JDev-CU2patch\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects")
    2) MDS XML path from Libraries ("C:\oracle\JDeveloper\JDev-CU2patch\jdevbin\jdev\oamdsxml\fwk").
    Thanks
    Balamohan

Got the solution for this from the thread.
You are trying to access a page that is no longer active
    Here is the solution:
Go to Jdeveloper>Tools>Preferences>EmbeddedOC4J>Select Default Local IP Address radio button>OK
    Thanks

    Not able to prompt errors.
    Hi,
Your error message are not displaying because u does not made Message-Resoucrce property file (Resource Bundle) when you make it .
    give it entry in
    struts-config.xml
    <message-resources parameter="ApplicationResources" />
    and
define key and corresponding error message to key in this ApplicationResources i.e
    #Error Resources
    label.search.ssNum=Plz Enter correct ssNum
