Not allowing me to setup iCloud, why??

Question

I downloaded all  i needed to to put iCloud on my iPad and it all went on ok and last nigt when I tried to sey it up on my iPad it kept telling me that my Apple ID or password was incorrect. Just to make sure of this i changed my password and re entered my Apple ID and password and I was still getting the same message so I quit attempting and thought I would try again this morning.
This time I tried to enter and login in with my email address and password and it told me that the email address was already taken and if it was by me I needed to reset my password again. So i went through iforgot.apple.com and reset my password and I am still unable to set up iClod on my iPad. iTunes and the App store are all working fine just as normal and I even purchased something from both just to make sure it worked and it did.
Customer service doesn't open until tomorrow and i was wondering if there is anybody out there who has had te same problem as me and if so what have you done to get it working?
Only other option I suppose would be creating a new account but I wanted to use the same one I have now for everything and as I only have the one email address it told me to enter another one

The same darn thing is happening to me. I have been trying for two days. I was looking at my account at appleid.apple.com and when I clicked to manage my account I noticed that my aol address was not verified and under it was a blue hyperlink to verify it.  For some reason when I clicked the link to verify it just refreshed the page and nothing happened. So I decided to add a new email address to the account in hopes that by verifying that email I would be able to access icloud.  So when I added the second email it sent a verification email and I was able to verify that email but still not able to verify the primary. The link just keeps refreshing without sending me a verification email. I was reading somewhere that icloud and facetime need a verified email address attached to the account and it is now obvious to me that it needs to be the primary one but I was thinking that maybe your primary email is not verified, and if not what happens when you click to verify now? I too have changed my password about four times. I am getting frustrated as well.
