Not receiving ical invites

Hello, I have yosimite and iphone6 with un to date software.  I can revive a meeting invite notifications.  In notifications all alerts are on.  Can someone tell me why meeting invites are not showing up to notifications.
Thanks

From Calendar Help. Maybe the Address Panel, under the Windows menu will work.

  • Calendar Server user can not receive external invites

    Hi,
We have a MacPro running ML Server 10.8.5 with 10 user accounts using the calendar and file server services.
Calendar server is where the issue is. We have 10 + users that are set up to send and receive external invites in calendar server without a problem. Recently, one of the user accounts stopped receiving external invites. The problem began not long after I set up a second account for the same user for their shared calendars (they requested this so all shared cals were not on their iOS devices). Although I used a separate email, it was an alias of the first so may have caused a conflict / problem (?). I got rid of the second account with no change to the first.
The account still receives invites from the other internal user accounts and the other services such as file sharing are unaffected. There are no other problems with the functionality of that user, in calendar or otherwise.
I have tried changing the email associated with that user account and setting up a new test user account (in Server). The email invite will still not come through.
I have changed it back to the way it was originally.
    Summary
One of 10 user accounts does not receive external invites
    Was working until recently
The account can send invites to external addresses
Same email address will not work even when associated with a different account
I have included a large section of the calendar error log from the part that references the email address (in red) attached to the user account in question. Apologies, I am not familiar with deciphering this information. That is why I've come here.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks so much for your comment ~morgen.
Sorry, I should have mentioned, that it what my first thought so I tested by ensuring the email address associated with the user account (not hosted on the server but by Google Apps) is recieving all other mail.
    I have also tried:
    - Setting all accounts (calendar, email and contact card with associated email address) in another local user on a defferent Mac. So it's not a local user or Mail app issue.
    - Sending invites from different Calendar apps and email accounts - iCloud, Gmail (both using Apple Calendar and the web interface).
That's why I came back around to thinking it must be calendar server related. However is there is absolutly no conntact with the server with incoming email invites I must be looking in the wrong place (and the wrong forum - sorry!).
Does anyone have any ideas where I should be focusing my efforts?
    Many thanks in advance.

  • I can send event invitations from ical but can not receive them --invites go to another family member email

I am using Lion and everything was working fine -- until I got a new mac and set the older one up for my husband and put his user account on the old mac.
Now I can send ical invitations out and can get replies -- but if someone else originiates an invitation to me -- I don't get the invite on my new mac.  My husband gets it on the older mac I set up for him in his Ical.  We have totally different emails and when I click on the email name in the invite it is addressed to me and my email address but it comes on my husband's ical.
    I can't figure it out???
If I originate the event invite I have no problem getting the replies -- but when someone else originates the invite -- it comes on my husband's ical (with my name and email address)
Please help -- this is driving me crazy!!

Hello. Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same one. My wife's iCal invitations are showing up in my iCal "Inbox" but are not coming to me via email. I discovered this while troubleshooting the issue just now...and saw that I had 10+ iCal invites for which I never received email notifications.
I never proactively check iCal, so definitely need to resolve this issue, as receiving emailed invitations is the only way they're filed into my iCal. Thanks for any insight!

  • I don't receive iCal invitation on my Gmail address

    Hello,
I have got a problem about the iCal invitations.
When my friend adds my gmail address in an iCal event he created, I never receive the invitation (my iCal (last version) don't wake up & never tells me that someone invited me).
If he adds my university address or another address I use, it works! I receive the invitation correctly.
It's like the problem is in Gmail, I receive nothing.
    Do you have an idea?
    Thanks!

You're likely not doing anything wrong.  But, you are probably texting to a phone number, which will only show up on a phone, which iPad is not.  If you text to your email address, the email address you set up on your iPad, it will show up on your iPad.  But, if you text to your phone number, it won't.
    I hope that makes sense?

  • ICloud calendar is not receiving any invites (not on iOS, not online)

I just recently started using iCloud.  Have a @me.com mail address and also some other (non-icloud) mail addresses.
Now when I send an invite to my @me address, I receive the invite in the mailbox but not in the calendar (not on iOS and not on icloud.com).
    Any ideas?
Apart from that, I have also setup forwarding on my Google Apps address to my @me.com address.  The calendar invites send to that address are not shown in calendar either.  Anyone any idea what I might try?
On my iPhone, calendar sync is enabled for my iCloud account.
    Thanks for any help!

There are two problems here: The badge on the icon not indicating unread messages and the notification banners, alerts, sounds, etc. not appearing. I suffered from both of these problems. (I wasn't getting notifications of either type.)
After doing this "load/unload" trick (from krinchan in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5480178):
    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.soagent.plist
    launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.soagent.plist
the notification banners and sounds returned to normal.
The problem w/ the badge on the icon not appearing was fixed after restarting the Dock (thanks foobaratanometer in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3743614).
    Just my two data points.
    Bark!

  • Meeting "Invites" not received as "invites" but as empty emails

My family all have Blackberries of varying generations and updates. We are on a Verizon family plan.
We frequently use the "meeting invite" function to send each other calendar entries of our activities, in order to do the "family synch" of logistics and administrivia.
However, in the past few days, we noticed that our "invites" to each other are arriving to the recipients as emails--empty emails. The only thing on the email is the FROM and the TO and the subject line. The rest of the email body is empty and there is nothing about the email to indicate it is a calendar entry or meeting invite. There is no place for the recipient to "accept" "decline" or "mark as tentative," either. There is no indication to the sender that the invite was received or responded to in any way, either.
It doesn't seem to matter which one of us is sending which other one fo us a meeting request...it is just not arriving as a request or invite at all.  Ironically, my office Blackberry--the oldest of all of them--is the only one that can still send an "invite attendee" for a new appointment or meeting request, and it will arrive in a useful format to the recipient, who can than "accept," etc.  However, it will no longer receive the "invitation" correctly, but instead it also gets the request as an obscure email.
Please help! Our family's sanity depends on this function!

I Fixed mine..  This is how
    1.  Contact Blackberry Tech support and mention tis article
    http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB17471
    2.  Then advise then of this solution
    Resolution:
Reintegrating email address to use POP instead of MSNMSP resolved issue
Then all your issues are fixed.  Good luck

  • OS4 still not recognising iCal invites in email

So I upgraded to OS4 as it said that I would now be able to accept etc iCal invites sent to my email. No joy. Any ideas of why? iCals are sent from iCal on Apple Mac computers, using Mail (pop account). I get the email on my iphone 3G with the .ics file but still can't open it. Am I doing something wrong or what? Thanks

I get these too. They show up as images basically, though they work in OS X Mail. I think these primarily come via Exchange 2003 for me.

My iPhone will not accept iCal invitations

My iPhone 4 will not accept my sim card, I tried to put it in my wifes iPhone 4 and it worked.  Has anybody had the same problem?  Please let me know how to get around this.
There are far too many possibilities for anyone to guess the real problem. Where are you located? Where did you get the phone? Is it carrer locked? If it is, are you using a SIM for that carrier? Is your wife's phone carrier locked? If so is it to the same carrier as your phone? Have you activated your phone with iTunes? (It won't work with any carrier until it has been activated).

  • HT1688 I've created a sharing album on Photo Stream. I've entered my husbands icloud email address so that I can share it with him but he is not receiving the invitations. Can you please let me know if I am doing something wrong?

I've created an album on Photo Stream and I've added my husbands icloud email address (subscribers) as well as mine (just to test it out) and invitations say that they have been sent but no emails are generated or received. I have checked my emails spam folder just in case but nothing has been received. Please help!

This does not answer my question. I'm doing everything correctly but no email is generating that asks the "subscriber" to be invited to see my album.

  • Not receiving iCal alarm

My iCal alarms are being sent (I can see them in my sent folder in Mail), and they are showing up in my gmail account online. However, they aren't showing up in my inbox in Mail, and I'm not having trouble receiving any other emails.
    What could be the problem?
    Thanks.

Figured it out. Relaying was my problem. We have an internal SMTP
server that I should have been pointing to...All is working...

  • Not receiving iCloud invites......

So, I use iCloud to send my clients their appts. Most receive them but I have a handful that don't and the only thing consistant is that they all have Apple devices - either iPhone or iPad. Those without Apple devices get an email. Of those with Apple devices it's totally inconsistant-some get a banner invititation, for some it goes right into their calendar and for some they get an email. So, of the handful that get NOTHING some aren't using the iCloud - they all have the current IOS (I checked) - they all have the New Invitation Alerts on (I checked that too), for some their email address is their Apple ID and for some it's not, some have gmail and some have other providers........I'm stuck!  This should consistantly work - as a result I had clients missing appts. for a while until I started double checking.  Now they add it themselves which isn't a big deal but it sure would be nice if iCloud worked as well as Outlook (which I no longer use). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and sorry for the long-winded description......

Are you still experiencing the issue?? Have you called Applecare?

  • How to receive iCal invites as an Email

    Hi all,
I have an iCloud account using a business address eg.  [email protected]
I have on my Mac the above account set up for Calendar and Mail,  in the account settings as normal.
I have un ticked the Mail preference to auto add to iCal.
When a invite is sent to the email above, there is no email that is received at all, the event just appears in the iCal.
Any idea on how to make an email appear in your inbox?
    Thanks
    Sean

    hi,
if u want to send the layout, n the other person also need to open it in se71 only, then simply download ur layout, send that file in email. then the other person can upload it n can open in se71.
to download the layout, just execute the program RSTXSCRP, there give ur script name, then it downloads.
hope this may slove ur problem.

  • Blackberry not receiving meeting invitations

My husband & I both have Blackberry 8330's. We are on BIS and only use our personal e-mail accounts. When he sends me a meeting invitation, I receive an e-mail in Outlook but the invitation does not come to my device. I cannot accept the meeting invitation from the e-mail, it comes in as a bunch of text and doesn't even tell me the date or time of the meeting. It doesn't seem to matter if the invitation is updating an existing meeting or a new one. He receives invitations that I send him just fine.
Does anybody have any ideas what the problem could be?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Have you tried, for both BB's, to delete and re-create the BIS profile?
Also, have you compared, item by item, the settings within the Message app config on both devices?  Perhaps something is set one way on one and differently on the other?
Also, have you compared the OS level of the two devices to be sure they are as well the same?

  • Yosemite 8 not sending ical invites

Since converting to iCloud and to Yosemite I have been unable to issue invitations from my iCal. No one receives them anymore. This is also true of my iPhone 5s running OS 8.1. I have changed all to link to my ".me" address (from ".mac").
    Anybody? Many thanks.

    I'm having the same issue.
    I've tried the following:
    - remove the account from system preferences and read-add; same problem
    - remove all files in /library/calendar  -  restart,  ; same problem
    - remove preferences in /library/ preferences - restart ; same problem
fresh install of yosemite on another machine, no user accounts on it - same problem.
