Not syncing all songs

After updating my Ipod 4th gen to IOS6, I cannot transfer all of my music from itunes to the ipod, only about 60% of the songs, have tried syncing several times with not succes, any help?

Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • Not syncing all songs on playlists. Hmm. What's wrong.

iTunes is not syncing all songs on my playlists with my devices. No changes have been made recently. The PC is a 5 year old Dell, with Itunes on it the whole time. It has the latest itunes version. My devices are a 160 gig Classic, and 2 iPhone 4's. All devices have the latest ios. I synced yesterday like i have hundreds of times before, and each playlist is missing 1 or two songs. Yes, they are all checked in itunes. I've tried both "sync all songs in library", and "sync select playlists". Same Result. Any guesses?

I am having this issue also.  Not a problem when I had the iPhone 4, but now that I have the 4s, I have missing songs from playlists.  The songs are there on my phone - I can play them, but they won't show up on my playlist.  I can manually add them to the playlist, but they won't "stick".  I can play the songs fine on my PC in iTunes fine also.  Seems like it only applies to songs that were actually purchased from iTunes (iCloud available).
I tried removing all music from the phone (de-syncing with iTunes) and then doing a fresh sync - no dice.
I don't want to go through a full new set up of my phone (again) - just for this issue, with no guarantee of success.  How do we escalate this to Apple?  Do they review these posts?

I have an iPod Touch 64GB and over 20,000 songs. I only put approximately 7,500 songs on at a time. I have a song on 2 different playlists. It appears in one playlist, but not the other. My iTunes & iPod are both updated w/ the most recent versions. Is there anything that I can do to rectify this issue?

  • Syncing but not syncing all songs

So i'm trying to sync music to my ipod and i should have a bit more then three songs :/ http://prntscr.com/6vfff9 Never happened before and i don't know how to fix.

Where are you looking for the song...under what menu? If it doesn't have an album name on the ID tag (under Get Info), it won't show up under Albums. If it has an album artist listed instead of an artist, I'm not sure if it will show under artist. If it's not showing under Songs, is the name of the song entered correctly under Get Info.
And...do you have your syncing preferences set to Sync All?

  • Ipod Shuffle - 2 Gen, 1 GB - not sync all songs and blank autoplay menu

    Hi,
I have two issues with my ipod shuffle, 2 Gen, 1 GB.
When I attach it to my computer a blank autoplay menu pops up. Nothing can be selected and I just click cancel and it goes away but it comes up every time I connect. I've tried going into the properties of it in my computer and setting the default action to do nothing but it still comes up. I've also disabled disk use within the settings of it in iTunes but it still happens.
Second when I try to autofill from a playlist, it shows all the songs ready to be synced but after doing about 11, it stops and says it's completed when it clearly hasn't. If I press sync again it does a few more then same result. It just won't fill the ipod up. I've double checked there's room on there and I have set zero space for disk use so the entire 1 GB is used for music but it still won't do a complete fill in one go.
Anyone got any ideas? Using latest version of ipod software 1.0.4 and latest version of iTunes 10.1.0.54

My iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen (latest firmware + iTunes) is
almost only playing purchased .m4p songs. Only very
few (1-2 out of 200) of .m4a are playing on the
    shuffle.
The songs are getting transfered properly and when
the shuffle is connected I can play the
songs/.m4a-files stored on the shuffle through Real
Player (The folder structure is accessible through
the FileExplorer while the upload process is
    running).
If I only upload not playable .m4a songs the shuffle
    blinks "no music uploaded".
Looks like a firmware problem of the Shuffle since I
can't see any pattern which .m4a songs are played and
    which not.
Can anyone share this experience? Any solution?
WHAT does iTunes' Get Info "Summary" say about the songs that don't play?

  • My 4s is not syncing all songs I've bought on iTunes

My phone is only syncing some songs/albums I've purchased. How do I play all songs I've purchased? I'm 99% sure I setup home sharing. HELP and thank you!

Thank you! I've always just assumed you couldn't play iTunes content on Spotify, but never occurred to me to try installing Quicktime! Did the trick.

  • ITunes does not sync all songs to iPod

Hi, I have the older iPod with the first color screen, 30gb. Now, for some reason upon syncing (multiple attempts), I'm only able to sync 3921 of 4,185 songs in my library on an external hard drive. All of my songs were imported from my CDs while some were bought at the iTunes store. I'm not sure why 264 songs won't import nor which songs they are.
Is there a way to figure out why they won't import and which songs are "stuck" in iTunes?
    Thanks,
    Mike

so i restore my ipod (30gb) to its original settings due to the fact that i had a lock code on there and couldnt remember what it was to unlock volume...so restored it and now all my songs arent syncing on it..

  • ITunes not syncing all songs in library to 5s (iOS 7)

Ok so after I synced the other day I went to play some music on my phone and noticed that many of the songs had the "downloading" symbol next to them and the song name was greyed out and not clickable. I have tried resyncing my phone, restoring it, reseting it, everything. I noticed in itunes when I select my phone and go to "On This iPhone" that the songs that are unplayable on my phone and are also greyed out. Screenshots are attatched. Help me please please please please

    Hello Dakota,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with music on your iPhone.  For an issue like this, I recommend resyncing the music to your iPhone.
If you are syncing automatically, resync content to the iPhone by unchecking "Sync Music" and click "Apply,"  then check "Sync Music" and click "Apply" again.
You can find the syncing steps in the following articles:

  • 2 Computers, 1 AID: iTunes Match not syncing all songs

I have the following computers/devices all using the same Apple ID for iTunes Match:
-MBP used at home and remotely
    -iMac used at home
    -iMac used at work
    -2 iPhone 5s
    -iPad
All devices are using iOS 7.2 and 10.8.5, iTunes version 11.1.1.
The problem I'm having is that when I import music (or, in this specific case, an audiobook file) into iTunes on my MBP from a CD, that file does not show up on my iMac at home. The file's iCloud status is listed as "uploaded," and the file shows up on every iOS device, and on my iMac at work. Just not on my iMac at home. Both the MBP and my home iMac frequently share a home network.
    Thanks for your replies!

I just had a 1 hour talk with applecare about this.  I was esclated through several levels.
They are not reporting an issue with the iTunes Match service but I can nolonger add a device to iTunes match and they have no idea why.
I still have an open ticket.  But no known resolution... So I am betting it is a server side issue that Apple is not reporting.
My iOS devices are not working (iPad 3 and iPhone 4) my Apple TV however is working fine.  But not showing any new songs I have added.

  • Itunes is not syncing all songs in playlists to iphone

i have multiple playlists with 70+ songs in them, however after phone is synced, only between 15-22 songs are in the corresponding playlists on my iphone. just need to find out if anyone is having the same problem since updating to itunes 10.5, and how i would rectify it.

The reason that (for me) smart playlists were (mostly/completely) empty on my iPod Touch 2nd Gen was that I had specified in the smart playlist criteria that the files were MP3s but then when I synced the iPod I had the songs convert to the 128 kbps AAC, which means they no longer fit the rules.
Check if you are doing something similar.

  • Itunes not syncing all songs from ipod.

I just got a new laptop...downloaded itunes.....and plugged my ipod in. iTunes only took a few of the songs from the ipod? (55 out of 499) Why? Have no idea how to fix this

  • New computer not syncing all songs

I recently bought a new computer and when I entered my apple ID information, only a small amount of my itunes library showed up. When I upgraded to the new iphone a few months ago all my music showed up on that without a problem. Any problem solving fixes for the computer I should know about?

  • IPod Classic not syncing all my songs from iTunes

Background: I've had my 160GB iPod classic for 5+ years and been using iTunes for close to ten years. I'm using Windows 7 on my PC and up until recently I've been updating both iTunes and iPod whenever updates are available. After the horrible experience of upgrading to iTunes 11 and trying for over a month to get used to working with all the annoying bugs and compromises in functionality that Apple stupidly introduced into what was once a really good piece of software, I decided a week ago to downgrade to version 10.7. I went thru all the necessary steps to make this downgrade work, eliminating the various error messages, etc, and it appears now that my earlier version of iTunes is fully functional.
But when I connected my iPod to sync new songs, I kept getting a message to scan and fix the disc on my iPod. I wasn't sure if I should do that so I ignored the prompt a few times. Then last night I decided to restore my iPod and start from scratch. The disc error message has gone away, but now it is not syncing all the songs it is supposed to.
Af far as I know there are no broken links and all the songs in my music library are located within iTunes, so that is not the issue. There may be some songs with the same title and artist but that appear on different albums, so those should not cause a problem. At this point I have too many songs to fit on my iPod so I have selected to sync only checked songs, and I have unchecked over 1000 songs in iTunes, so that when I connect the iPod, it doesn't tell me that there is not enough free space to sync the iPod, it just syncs the checked songs.
Before restoring my iPod, I had 14161 songs in iTunes, with 1105 of those songs unchecked so as not to sync them in the iPod. I did the math and that left 13056 songs that are checked, and that was how many songs showed up in the iPod after syncing it, with about 1GB of free space left on the iPod.
Now, after restoring my iPod, I get only 13009 songs showing up in the iPod, meaning 47 songs are missing (with exactly 1.4GB free space).
How can I troubleshoot this to find out what songs are missing and why, and then fix it? Is there an easy way to approach this daunting task? I am really fussy about my music library and am not the kind of casual user who just loads a bunch of stuff on my iPod and doesn't care if there are duplicates, broken links, missing songs. I manage my own library very assiduously each time I import new music and make sure it is tagged and filed correctly according to my own system. I want to fix this issue.
Could it be a problem with me using a newer version of the iPod updates with an older version of iTunes? And is there a way I can correct that, possibly downgrade the iPod software version I have now? Would it be worth the trouble to try restoring the iPod again, and if so, what precautions do I take to prevent the same thing happening again, where not all my songs get synced to the iPod.
Thanks to anyone who can offer some helpful advice...

    Check through this.
