Note II will no longer sync email after software update

After I let the last major install update I cannot sync my MS Exchange or yahoo accounts both of which are critical for business. I have set all the options for syncing and tried different ways. the message says cannot connect to server but all my settings are the same as before the update. any ideas besides a hard reset as I do not want to lose data and apps.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your email, pford4133. We can understand how important they are for business. You have done great troubleshooting, which we appreciate. We strongly encourage you to remove the battery and leave it out for a few minutes. Once that is done put back in and together. At that time please try and see if you can send yourself an email. Then we can see if it is able to be sent and received.

Trying to understand long sync time after 4 update :re blurry photos

hi i wanted to take out the 1 photo album that was blurred/grainy after update and then re-install them so that they are optimized. however when i sync it is taking hours. the album in question has 800 photos in it, but it should delete right away. i have had to exit the sync several times.
can anyone tell me first the steps to removing a photo album. so at least i am clear on that?
and then im wondering if these long syncs are normal. i have very little data on the phone itself. before the update it was synching quick. i have windows 7 and itunes 9.2.

Missing emails after Software Update

Hi all,
I seem to missing a large chunk of emails in my Inbox after a recent Software Update. This is only in my Inbox. My Sent mail seems fine. Before the update, my Inbox had around 8000 emails. Now it hovers around 600.
I looked at my Home>Library>Mail>Mailboxes folder. There, it says the size is 110 MB and was last modified on today's date. That tells me all 8000+ emails are still in there, but they just aren't being displayed. I tried Rebuilding the mailbox a while back, but that offered no solution.
Any advice?

I would recommend you to connect the iPhone to iTunes and follow the steps provided,
Once you connect the iPhone to iTunes you will be able to Set-up your iPhone on the iTunes itself with the available options.

Help: Camera No Longer Works Properly after Software Update

I can no longer use my blackberry camera outdoors. Even if I set the white balance to outdoors, the entire image is white. I used to be able to take brilliant, clear pictures outdoors in direct sunlight. I even used to be able to take pictures of the sky. Now, even on overcast days, all I get is a white mass of nothing.
I'm really upset because I used to use the camera a lot.
It's also really slow in moving from the camera app back to the main screen.
Is there a way to uninstall the software updates or restore the phone to factory (pre update) settings?

Yes, you can install your older OS (check your carrier website for the download) to your PC.
Then you can downgrade to the old OS.

No longer receiving emails after iO6 update??

I did the iO6 update the other day, I had problems straight away with all my messaging shortcuts not working. To resolve that I had to turn off documents and data in iCloud.
Now I am no longer getting notified when I have an email. If I go into my mail and refresh it myself I receive about 6 spread across my 2 hotmail accounts. I've tried turning off push, then my phone, and turning both back on but it still doesn't work. Even turned the retrieving mail time down to 15mins and it still doesn't work!
Thought this update was meant to be brilliant?
Any help people? I don't want to be constantly checking my mail for emails when it's a smartphone and its meant to do it itself!

The same thing happened to me...I bought an i5 and restored from backup (i had upgraded my i4 to ios6 prior). now a few of my accounts are no longer working. i thought a backup would create an exact mirror of what was backed up...but i had to reenter passwords for some accounts and some accounts don't even work even though i know the password!
just now i read about some battery flaw on the i5 and ios6 and so i manually deleted, hard rebooted, and then re-added all of my accounts back and there was some blip with gmail so that it kept telling me that my user name or password was incorrect when in fact it was correct.
absolutely irritating...
come on apple...fix the mail problems

Palm m515 lost power and all data and will no longer Sync to Palm Software

I guess I waited too long between charges and my Palm Lost all its data - however it all backed up on my work PC. The issue is that when I try to sync it, it asks me to select a user and then I get the following error message "HotSync operation was interrupted. Some of your data was NOT backed up. For details, tap HotSync Long on the HotSync screen." However there are no details to be found, it just says "HotSync operation was terminated. Some of your data was not NOT backed up."
I am hoping that there is something I can do without reinstalling the software since 1 - all of my information going back to 2002 is only on my computer and 2 - I am not able to install apps on my work computer.

I went to C:\Program Files\Palm - there was no PalmOne folder. The folders in this folder are _PqiTemp_, Components, helpnote, Image Library, PergolC, Photodesktop, Themes, Update and USB_Driver. In PergolC there was a folder called backup, which had pictures in it. I renamed it oldBackup and it still isn't working.
Please let me know what else to try. I have selected my name as the user each time.

Your post indicates iOS 4.3 which is now quite old. I am going to suggest restoring your iPad, which, among other things, will update your iOS to the current version.
I recommend restoring your iPad. Make sure you have the current version of iTunes on your computer (currently 11.0.1). Plug your iPad into your computer, let it sync, then press "Restore" on the right side when the summary page of the iPad is displayed in iTuens' display.

Ipad3 will not let me accept terms and conditions after software update

I downloaded the new software and had forgotten my password so had to ask for it.Now when I turn on my ipad it goes to the terms and conditions page but will not let me accept them and has a screen behind that that says create a password but I cannot get to that without accepting terms and conditions!!!! My Ipad is a brick! Help please!

It had not turned off all the way....now that it has been off ALL the way and turned back on after a minute it let me pass.

How long to reboot after software update?

I just did a system update and it had to reboot when finished. It got as far as a blue screen with a spinning gear-wheel and that's it. It has been like this for 15 minutes. Is this normal? Will it hurt if I use the power button to shut it off, then restart? It has never taken this long before.

I assume by blue screen and spinning gear you are referring to the shutdown portion of the restart rather than the restart itself. If this be the case then 15 minutes seems a bit long. Normally, I don't like recommending abnormal shutdowns because of the possible problems they can cause, but in this case it should be OK. However, I strongly suggest you first boot from your Snow Leopard DVD and repair the hard drive and permissions:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
This will hopefully assure no disk damage from the abnormal shutdown. If all is OK then restart the computer normally.

Cant send email after software update 10.0.10.85

Email send and receive was working perfectly for early Z10 adopters at our company (SMTP / POP / IMAP, no BES). However, after the firmware update to version 10.0.10.85, sending email stopped working. In checking the logs on our email server, we found that our Z10's are correctly authorizing to the SMTP server but the connection then fails with an invalid linefeed error.
According to our mailserver vendor (Ipswitch Imail), this has to do with RFC 2822 Section 2 which specifically states that bare LF characters are not allowed. We are not experiencing the same problem with Gmail or AOLmail.
Again, the Z10's did work with the initial firware release and failed after the firware update. Nothing was changed on our mail server in the meantime.

I see that K-9 Mail has recently become available on App World. On a lark, I decided to give it a try and guess what?... It works just fine. It receives and sends mail exactly the way any native email client should.
I have an idea for you BlackBerry. Since you appear to be unable to resolve the mail sending issue, and since K-9 Mail is open source, why not download and incorporate their source code into your own mail client, (with proper attribution of course). It would save you the trouble of figuring out for yourselves what you broke in the last firmware update and we would get the fully functioning email we've all become accustomed to on our Blackberry devices.
Ok, sarcasm off. Guys, I really want to love this phone and you know I'm pulling for you, but I can't send email from my Blackberry and right at the top of this thread is the reason why. If nothing else, a Blackberry MUST do email properly! Are you working on this? Throw us a bone here!

When i add music to my 5th gen ipod it will no longer sync in itunes. It shows up in itunes, but when i add mysic it comes up with an error number (13019). The songs show under music on my ipod, but when i disconnect it theyre not on there for me to listen to. HELP!!!

easiest way i have found to resolve the issue is go into itunes while phone is plugged in. you will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music. select music and where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right (dont worry your music should be saved on the computer) once the sync is complete re check the music sync option. ive noticed this to work 95% of the time......hope this helps

I figured out the problem. You must click on settings under each Podcast and re-subscribe.
