Notes folder doesn't exist in my computer

hi~ I was wodering if you use
"notes" to read text files on your iPod?
I think this feature is really cool feature that Nano
does not have, but
I can't find Notes folder inside my iPod folder
(according to the manual).
Please help me out! Thank you
P.S.- I'm an XP user.

Try creating the folder. In Windows Explorer, go to File, New, Folder and name the folder Notes. If you put notes in there but they don't show up, do a restore (which will erase all of your data).

Photos that were synced from a computer won't show for copying to a computer. If you want to copy them back then you will need a third-party app on your phone such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer (e.g. their dimensions might be different and their colours may look a bit different).

  • Dreamweaver, OS X 10.4, Local folder doesn't exist?

Since getting my brand new MacBook from Amazon a few days
ago, I've been struggling with getting DW (7 and 8) to work with
    local folders.
After I Define Sites and enter the info for my local copies
of the site's files, I connect to the server. The Remote view shows
the files on the server, but when I switch back to the Local view,
it says the folder where my files are, doesn't exist.
I can interact fine with the Local files (create, rename)
until I connect to the Remote computer. After I do connect, when I
go back to the Local view, it says the Local folder doesn't exist.
Sometimes when updating the Site it sometimes says "Can't
create local folder" so Im guessing DW isn't able to hold onto the
fact that the Local folder is there somehow.
I've repaired permissions, verified the disk, made sure the
most recent patches are applied on DW (7.01 and 8.02), deleted the
DW prefs for both versions. I've even created a new user on my Mac
and created the new site folder from scratch, but this problem is
happening with all user accounts on this Mac.
Everything was working fine on the old PowerBook before I
used the Migration Utility to automatically bring things over.
    Desperately in need of help!

I think that WAS it. Holy Weekend Waster Batman! I spent the
last few days of my life on debugging because of that space
    character.
I had found a workaround in that I could use a disk image
that I created on my Mac. That, I guess, worked because of the
    filename.
I had thought it was some Permissions thing since the disk
image had totally open permissions. But it seems the space
    character was the reason.
    Thanks!!!!!

  • Photos - My Photo Stream Folder doesn't exist in Photos.

In a new photo mediathek the folder my photo stream doesn't exist. In the old one my photo stream works fine.
But I have to delete the first one. Thanks for helping.

Go to the settings in photos and activate in the settings "system photo media library". You can have more the one photo media libraries on your computer, so you must select one as your "system photo media library". After this you will find the folder my photo stream.

  • Why is my Firefox Aurora seems to be located in Program Files (x86)\Aurora\updated\firefox.exe, but that directory doesn't exist on my computer?

I'm using FusionDisplay to get a taskbar for my second monitor, and the taskbar has worked well until now. Now when I open pinned Aurora, it opens a new application and doesn't merge with the pinned down application icon.
It seems to locate the Firefox.exe to Program Files (x86)\Aurora\updated\firefox.exe, which doesn't exist. Also windows task manager right click menu for firefox.exe won't open anything when I click Open File Location.

Hi. I'm having the same problem with Final versions of Mozilla applications (FF and TB) on Win7 x64 as well. I don't have Display Fusion or the likes.
This started around FF15, and happens about every other update since. This is Very frustrating. Restarting the computer fixes it though. I'd never believe I'd have to restart the computer after pretty much about every update, major or minor. Now this happened to me for both FF19->19.02, and TB 17.0.3->17.0.4 at the same time. No other software running meanwhile.
This happens for about the 3 or 4th time. It's frustrating to have to restart every now and then for a browser update.
I'll stick to a version for both (19.0.2 and 17.0.4) forever, thanks Mozilla! Couple that with the inability of most versions of TB to sustain a longer uptime than 10-15 days with no addons and just 4 pop accounts with 50-100 emails and just one with 1000.

  • WRVS4400n, QuickVPN, Server's certificate doesn't exist on local computer

    Hi,
I bought a new WRVS400n recently because it had Gigabit speed, wireless n and a built in VPN server.  The device works perfect except for the Quick VPN client.  I'm a system engineer so I thought I could set it up quite easy just like any other device I configured in the past.  Painfull but it isn't like this.
I set up the VPN on the WRVS4400n and generated a certificate.  I saved both the client and admin certificate to my pc, I gave them a name to easily make up the difference between both of them.  When placing the certificate in the installed QuickVPN folder, it doesn't seem to get recognised by the QuickVPN software.  When I try to connect, it says 'Server's certificate doens't exist on your local computer'.  I guess the naming convention must meet some kind of format, is that correct?  If so, this should have been described in the documentation.
Besides that I checked if the required ports used by the VPN server are open on the public port of the device, that is the case.  So It seems I'm quite close to get it working.
The version of QuickVPN I used is 1.4.2.1.  The WRVS4400n has the latest firmware loaded.
    Kind regards,
    Pieter.

    >I set up the VPN on the WRVS4400n and generated a certificate.  I saved both the client and admin certificate to my pc
The "certificate for client" should be saved as a .pem file and copied into the install directory of QuickVPN client.
The "certificate for admin" is used as a backup, which can be used to re-provision the router in case admin needs to reset the router to factory default for any reason.

  • Archive folder doesn't exist

I have read and followed everything I can find about archiving data, but the problem is that the location specified in Tools/Account Settings/(account)/Copies and Folders does not appear to exist. The entry in the box is the account name. Is that a problem, and in any case, where are my messages?

Well, I followed the directions for archiving (open folder, select first entry, hold CNTL and shift, select the last one, click Archive button), and expected to find a folder called "SBC" (the account name) with old emails in it. I found... Nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada.
As for pop vs IMAP, neither Tools/Options nor Tools/Account Settings has anything about either one. I told TB that I had SBC, and it worked it all out by itself. There isn't a folder called Global Inbox; the default is just called Inbox. The one in question is one that I set up, not the default.
Did I set up Archive Options? Well, it certainly LOOKS set up. "Keep Message Archives in" is checked, as is "Archive Folders on:" and that dialog box says "SBC". The Archive Options button leads to a form that has "yearly archived folders" selected, and "Keep existing file structure of archived messages" is also checked. It didn't generate any error messages when I ran the archive.
The emails that are missing are every one that I tried to archive. The rest are intact.

  • Unread email folder doesn't exist on iPhone mail application?

    Hi everyone,
I just recently switched over to an iPhone 4 after 6 years with a Blackberry. I have many apple products and was finally able to switch at work. Everything is great except that the way you have to find unread email is very cumbersome. On the BB, all unread mail appeared in the default mail view. On the iPhone, I have to go into the folder view to find emails that I have ruled into other folders on my Microsoft Exchange account which is very cumbersome.
Also, I hear a new email alert but the mail icon doesn't update the unread mail count unless that email comes to my inbox folder. Since I work in IT at my organization and receive many emails, I have them ruled on exchange to many different folders. I have all of those folders pushed to the iPhone but I have to manually look in each folder for the unread mail count next to the folder.
So I guess I'm saying that this is not efficient enough mail for me. Can you do setup an unread mail folder that shows all unread mail regardless of what folder it really is in on the iPhone mail program somehow? If not, can this be submitted as an enhancement as it makes email use very cumbersome. I have found tons of posts about this through google searches. I thought I would make a post to see if we are all missing something simple. If there is a simple setup that I can configure to fix this, please let me know!
    Thanks,
    Unhappy mail user

    No.

Yes. You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

  • Site folder doesn't exist?

    Hello all,
I am running Dreamweaver 8 on Mac OX 10.4.8. I recently went
to open my index file for one of my site folders, but DW gives me
an error message stating that the item was not found. If I go into
Finder, all my files are still there, as well as all my folders for
each site I've created. When I go to open any of my site folders,
it says, " the local root folder does not exist, please select a
new root folder by clicking manage sites..." If I go to Finder and
open any one of the files, they open OK in DW. Why isn't DW
recognizing that the site folders are there? Please help!

    > on Mac OX 10.4.8. I recently went to open my index
    > file for one of my site folders, but DW gives me an
    error message
my first thought is this is likely to be an issue with Hard
    drive or folder
names on macintosh that has been an issue with dw on mac
    since the start.
to rule this in or out as being the problem- pls do this:
Open a new dw document using File-->New
    -->don't save this file<--
Insert an image from this site's local site folder
look in code view, and copy that <img> tag and paste
    into your reply.
I'm looking to see what the SRC of that image tag is- it
    should show the
    complete local path like
    src="file:///hdname/Users/~you/folder/folder/folder/file.jpg"
    background info:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14452
synopsis- use of some characters in hd name or folder names
    can cause dw to
not be able to resolve the path to the local site folder on
    mac. Leading
blank space in the HD name, or punctuation in folder names
    for example.

  • Where do I place third party plug folders for effects in Final Cut 10.1 under Mavericks?  The /user/library/application support/final cut directory doesn't exist on my computer.

I can't seem to find the proper directory to copy third pary plugins for use under Final Cut 10.1.    The ../library/appliation support/final cut pro directory doesn't seem to exist.  Where do I put these files?

Um - they didn't go there with 10.0.x either. All the effects, titles, transitions, and generators in FCP X are Motion templates and get placed in user/movies/motion templates, into the appropriate folder depending on the type of effect.

  • Error Message: Disk Cache folder doesn't exist

I know this has already been asked, but I am aware that I HAVE deleted the disk cache folder by accident, and it is no longer in the recycle bin. Is there anywhere i can go to restore the Disk Cache folder, or redownload it? How does it affect me to work without it? Thanks

Just create a new folder and point to it in the preferences. It's as easy as that.
You could also delete your preferences, re-launch, and everything should be restored.

  • PDF Maker Issue - can't find add-in in adobe folder, doesn't work in MS Office 2010.

    Hi Guys,
Since last few years I've been using Adobe Acrobat Reader (IX, X, XI) on my Sony Vaio.
It was integrated with MS Office 2010 and worked perfect with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Last week I had serious isues with my notebook and had to do a clean instalation of Windows 7 64-bit.
I installed all software back (Eset Endpoint Antivirus 5, MS Office 2010 32-bit, etc.) and at the end, yesterday
I finally installed Adobe Acrobat Reader XI (free). Then I noticed with dissapointment that there is no Adobe ribbon.
I did everything mentioned here PDFMaker unavailable | Office 2007, Office 2010 | Acrobat 9, Acrobat X, Acrobat XI
including instalation in a simplified mode, but it doesn't work for me.
The path mentioned in above link doesn't exist in my computer "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat [9.0 or 10.0]\PDFMaker\Office".
I can find only: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader"   - a path to AR app. There is no PDFMaker folder at all.
And another path: "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0\Replicate" - Replicate is the only folder under "11.0".
Do You have any idea what I could do to instal PDFMaker module , and use it with MS Office 2010?
    Sorry for my poor English.
I'll be very gratefull for help.

If you have all of those Adobe Reader products on your system, you are asking for problems. Adobe states one should not have more than one copy of an application on their system.
Reader has no plug-in for MS Office of any version.
Only Acrobat has a plug-in for MS Office. Again Adobe does not approve of more than one copy of Acrobat on a system. And if you dare to have Reader on the same system then Acrobat and Reader should be at the same major version.

    Mac OS 10.5 /
I deleted the " Private" folder ... and emptied the trash. So the folder and its contents no longer exists on my computer at all !!!
I do have the OS 10.5 dvd that i purchased years ago...
But my computer will not start from it on its own.
My question is what is the open source or terminal language code used to tell my mac to look in the DVD rom drive for startup info?  I know that im not the only person in this world who has deleted the "PRIVATE" folder and emptied the trash so it no longer exists on their machine...
That said theres gotta be a common fix for a Power PC G4 that has the OS X dvd in the rom drive but wont look to it to reinstall the vital contents of the PRIVATE folder.
Once again there is not a copy of this file or its contents in the recycle bin...
Also rebooting the machine , pressing and holding the letter C does not prompt the machine to look to the dvd rom drive.
I was reinstalling pro tools and figured I would make some room by cleaning my computers HD...
Lol It was a bad choice to delete this file ...
    Thanks guys

Okay sorry it took forever to respond... But for a while there I gave up on this computer!!!!
Money's been tight lately , so taking it in to a professional was not yet an option... though I did consider it eventhough.
Anyway long story short im glad I didnt spend any money because I already had all the tools necessary to fix this issue but was going about it in the wrong way. Okay so here is my scenario and the breakdown... Though this may not fix the issue for everyone :( which *****... But I know we all will have different circumstances.
    Anyway here we go...
Okay so first things first....  Years ago I purchased the OS 10.5.1 disk ... So that has always been in my possession!!!!
I realize that some may not have a disk to reflash your OS to your hard drive... but if you do your in luck.
2ndly ... I had an external harddrive with all of my itunes downloaded music so it was more than okay with me to delete my primary HD because all the important stuff could either be copied over or repathed to be located.
-------If you dont want to read through the whole story the fix is summed up in the bottom section-------
    Okay so now the SOLUTION!!!!
By trial and error , and pure boredom I opened up my computer to clean the inside...
    AND
    "Disconnected the primary HD"
and just because ....... REBOOTED my computer. Just to see what it would do.
Upon restart and though it looked like it would repeat its usual cycle...
About 1 minute in to that process my computer froze for about 2 seconds and flashed to the OS installation screen.
Mind you I havent seen this screen yet... Probably hasnt been since I installed the OS years ago.
After a bit of trial and error...
I decided to tell my computer to startup from the OS 10.5 disk located in my dvd rom drive and restarted once again...
    this setting is under
    Utilities / startup disk
After a little more trial and error ... I realized that I could reconnect the primary HD , restart the machine and return to the OS installation menu.
    So upon this discovery
I went to the Disk Utility located under Utilities
Highlighted my primary HD located in the left hand column
    Once highlighted ...
In the heading section on the right I selected the option
    Erase
in which I erased My current OS on my primary HD ...
I used the first option in the list under security... Because it seemed like the least invasive and would take the least amount of time to see if this process would actually work.
    I FORGOT to add something...
Another reason why I deleted my primary HD!!!!!
I forgot to say that it WOULD NOT!!!!! Show up in the STARTUP list as an option...Even After multiple reboots....
But like clockwork... Once I deleted its name IT SHOWED UP as an option!!!!
So back to the next step...
I returned to the STARTUP option under utilities ... And was then able to see MY primary HD now as a startup option...
But ofcourse it had no name because it we previously erased it.
So when Clicking my newly erased HD ... I was almost immediately prompted to REINSTALL the OS ...
Which said it would take about 57 minutes ... But I believe was alot less...
My issue was resolved ... My computer then stated the install was SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!! :))))))))))) lol ;)
It was like I was setting up for the first time ;) asking for my registration info...
The dilemma of deleting the private folder and emptying the trash is finally over resolved. Done ... and no extra money spent!!!!!!!!!
Its really crazy that the information for such a simple thing is not readily available. Especially being such a simple fix.
I know im not the only person who's had this issue , because i've seen numerous posts with similar wording.
I also know I wont be the last person to have this issue... So I hope this synopsis makes sense.
    -------One more time the fix------
*Insert your OS dvd into your dvd rom drive.
*Unplug your primary HD or corrupted startup disk
    *Reboot your machine...
Upon restart your primary HD will not be recognized...
    * you will then be prompted to select your language.
    Once selected
*Click Utilities/startup... Highlight the the selection that refers to the OS dvd located in the dvd rom drive.
    * Click restart...
!!!!!!!!!!Be sure to reconnect your Primary HD Before your computer restarts and you hear the chime!!!!!!!!
If you do not replug your HD before the chime it will not be recognized.
    In that case restart again.
    Upon restart once again
    *Choose your language...
    *Click Utilities / disk utility
In the left column select and
    *Highlight your HD ...
Then towards the top portion / center of the page
    *Click the heading Erase
Then on the page toward the bottom
    *Click security options
This will then provide erase options.
    I USED THE FIRST OPTION
    "Dont erase data"...
    *click OK
    * click erase...
Once erased which should take a few seconds
    *Cancel the disk utility...
    * Click Utilities / startup
And your newly erased HD should now appear in the list.
    * Select your drive from the list by highlighting
It should no longer have a name.
*Once selected, you will then be prompted to restart and install the OS to your newly erased HD...
    Thats it!!!!
Once everything reinstalls re-add your personal info or registration info and you are up and running.
    Goodluck ;)
