Notes not saved - sometimes?

My wife has been using the 'Notes' application on her iPad daily. Occasionally, she will make a new note and not be able to find it when she goes back to look for it. Most notes seem to be saved automatically and synched to Mail. Is there something she needs to do to make sure all notes are saved?

It's a real mystery. It's to difficult to delete accidentally unless I'm missing something. One has to click on the trash icon then confirm the delete. I personally saw a note that my wife made that disappeared the next time 'Notes' were opened. We haven't been able to reproduce the situation that deletes the note. It seems random though I know this is unlikely.
Is there any other way to delete a note other than as described above?

I am having a persistent problems with the application tabs i pin not being saved. sometimes, they are not present when i re-open the browser.

i have 3 sites i have repeatedly saved as an app tab. on the rare occasions i exit my browser, my pinned tabs are missing. furthermore, when i attempt to "restore previous session", the tabs that were open may be restored but the pinned tabs are ALWAYS missing and never restored.

Be sure you close Firefox properly File (or "Firefox") > Exit not with the "x" in the upper right corner.
Just because app-tabs will carry over from one session to another does not mean that they are fool proof or should be relied on., I keep mine in a bookmarks folder and replenish app-tabs from there when needed. It is also nice to have the "Tab Handler" to work with tabs and change all or a selection of tabs to app-tabs at once.

What kind of file are you saving, and what sort of clientserver setup do you have?
If you're using MS Office, it doesn't play nice with OS X Server, particularly with network homes.

Error: "Document could not be saved"

Hi all!
I regularly receive an error, "Document could not be saved", in OS X after a while of usage. It can come after 10 minutes of usage, or after 10 hours of usage. It affects ALL open applications and documents, and doesn't solve with anything but a restart of the entire system. I haven't found any relation to working with any specific application – it seems to happen at random while using any application. And as I said, it affects the entire system and all applications once it happens.
I've also tried this solution (posted elsewhere), but with no luck:
Restart Lion, and Before you hear the chime, hold down Cmd + R, to access Lion Recovery.
Click the Utilities item in the Menu Bar, then click Terminal.
In the Terminal window, type resetpassword and hit Return.
The password reset utility window launches, but you’re not going to reset the password. Instead, click on icon for your Mac’s hard drive at the top. From the dropdown below it, select the user account where you’re having issues.
At the bottom of the window, you’ll see an area labeled Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the Reset button there.
Does anyone know of any other solution to this problem? Or does anyone know the reason for it?
I should also mention that I experienced another problem recently, whereby my computer begun to sometimes (but not always!) show a progression bar at startup. This bar could take between 5-15 minutes to finish. This kept happening for maybe two weeks' time, until finally one day the computer wouldn't startup at all. It would come to show the dark grey Apple logo on the light grey background, and then suddenly shut off before reaching any further. I did a complete wipe out of the hard drive and re-install of the system, and since then haven't experienced the "progression bar"-problem anymore. I read somewhere that this problem could be a sign of harddrive failure or damage, but I still wonder if that is correct. Could the above mentioned "Document could not be saved"-problem also be related to a hard drive damage?

The next time you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Select any messages timestamped from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Photoshop CC 2014 - The file can not be saved in path because an error has occurred

I need again help regarding this issue. Sometimes but very often I receive an error, trying to save a PSD file, the error is: "The file can not be saved in <path> because an error has occurred". After that it is not possible to save the file in any format, using save or save in dialog. The only way to rescue the result is, to save for web as an jpeg. This error occours often using Topaz or NIK filter and until now only in PS-CC 2014. My workflow looks like this:
- Open NEF RAW file in Brdige
- Settings in ACR and give it into PS by clicking OK in ACR
- In PS doing a adjust some levels
- press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
- Uing Topaz Adjust on the new level with 65% opacity
- press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
- Using Topaz DeNoise on the new layer
- pres STRG+i and resize the image to 1200x797
- Using Topaz InFocus on the same layer as DeNoise
- create a vignette with brightness adjustlayer
After this workflow in nearly 90% it is not possible to save the file as PSD or something else, only to save for web as JPG. If I save the file after opening the RAW in PS and after every layer with Topaz Filter, I can save the file when I am done. Same issue occurs using NIK Filters in that way.
I tried to optimize the performance by using this guide: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-performance-photoshop-cs4-cs5.html doesn’t solve the issue.
I re- and installed all Adobe Products more than three times, doesn't solve the issu.
After that I ordered a new SSD drive and insall Windows 7 64bit inkl. All latest hotfixes, patches and drivers. I downloaded the newest Adobe Versions and the newest filter sets from Topaz and NIK. Doesn’t solve the issue.
This is my rig:
Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H mainboard
Intel Core i7 4770k
32GB Corsair RAM
250GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD Drive
nVidia Geforce GTX770
During my tests I took the same RAW File and created nearly 20 adjustment layers and summary layers, without using Topaz or NIK filters. No problem, I was able to save the file as PSD file.
From my point of view, actually, the error occurs only when I am using Topaz or NIK filters. Both supports doesn’t know the issue and if I search the web, I can’t find more then me. It seemed to depend on my settings, my rig or something else, perhaps a cache is overflowed or something like this. Adobe telephone support can’t help because I said I use a third party filter. But it occurs with two different manufactures…
So please guys, help me to figure out why this error occurs in my system.

Update: I tried several times to reproduce the error, actually it dosen't occur. I changed nothing on my system, without reboot it twice. This is what I said in my beginning times: it occurs sometimes but often. I will keep you up to date.

I have several users on a terminal server that access a PDF from a file server. This PDF has many fillable fields like Name: with an empty text box next to it.
Sometimes when the users open this PDF everything is missing except the fillable text fields. If they try to save the file they get the error in the subject of this ticket:
the document could not be saved. an unexpected network error occurred
Obviously, this sounds like a networking error, but 2 things.
1) The terminal server and the file server on both virtual servers on the same host, using the same SAN. Very unlikely to have a networking error.
2) This doesn't happen to every, it seems to be only affecting 3 of about 25 right now, and it is not all the time.
Any thoughts? I have checked to see if there were any hidden lock files, but that wasn't it. Google-fu turned up nothing.

Could be please confirm if you are using Adobe Reader or Acrobat (what version) to open a PDF form.
What version of OS are you using?
Try saving the form to any other location with administrative privileges and then check.

Sent Messages are not allway saved

I use Mail with several imap account and for the last few weeks I recognized
that the emails I did sent were not allways saved in the 'sent messages' folder of the corresponding imap account. They are sent but they just dissapear, also on the imap server itself.
Deleting Envelope Index and restoring the sent folder did not solve this strange behavior.
It seems that sometimes it depends on wether an attachment was added to the mail or not.
But the sent messages _are saved_ when I first press the 'save as draft' button and right after that press the send button.
Any ideas?

I've had the same problem for a while, even before Leopard. It definitely occurs more often when sending bigger messages (i.e. with attachments), and on slower connections (cell card, or even shaky wifi). Always unsettling when I notice it, and seriously frustrating when a Send fails and I've forgotten to Save as Draft.

Billing document not getting saved

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with th billing doument. When I try to save the Billing through VF01, it is going to the screen and showing the line items in it. And when we save, it is generating a billing document number.But it is not getting saved.And when go and see in VF02
it is showing a message <b>Express document "Update was terminated" received from Author----
"</b>.
How to resolve this.PLS help me out in this.

Check whether number range assignment has done. Most probably, you would not have done that.
Incidentally, I had also faced similar problem sometime back and after lot of study, I could come to a conclusion that it is because of non assignment of number range.

Problem -How to figure out "message could not be saved" alternate location?

Hmmmm.... what could be causing this?
Does Mail or the computer do an 'auto-save' somewhere when I get the message "The message could not be saved." It's very frustrating as I don't know how to tell if a message has gone, or who it's gone to. It only starting doing this recently; any possible solutions?
I checked autosave (not there). Any other place to look?
I'm concerned because I did not want an email to reply to cc: all and I may have done that unintentionally. Any way to tell if I have egg on my face?

Does this mean the account in question is a .Mac account and you are accessing the account with the Mail application as a .Mac type account?
And if yes to both, you are storing Drafts and Sent messages on the server?
If so, your account in Mail is not sometimes synched with the .Mac server - all server stored mailboxes in Mail are automatically synchronized with the server when first launching Mail when connected to the internet and there is no way to turn this off. And when selecting a server stored mailbox in the mailboxes drawer, the selected mailbox is re-synchronozed with the server.
The error message provided does not include or involve the account's Drafts mailbox - it is the account's server stored Sent mailbox only and successfully sent messages are not being saved on the server?

Treo 755p The free data storage space on the device is low. Some data could not be saved

After having the Treo 755p device for only a week, I am receiving a message "The free data storage space on the device is low. Some data could not be saved." I have over 55 mb of free space according to the device info page. I cannot find anything about this in the knowledge library, can anyone offer help?

My problems are similar to Lauren, but backwards. For months now I have had problems with my Treo 755 reseting randomly. Sometimes during calls, sometimes while typing, sometimes while just sitting in the holster. As many as a dozen a day and then not at all for 2 weeks, no rhyme nor reason. This Free Space error though is brand new to me today and quite strange. The error is showing up when I bring my phone out of "sleep". I press the end button to sleep the phone and everything is fine. When I press it again to wake the phone up the error is sitting behind the keylock waiting for me.
Obviously I have done nothing yet for this new memory error, but I've tried everything for the reseting. Deleting software, Soft and hard resets, software updates, everything I and Sprint support can think of. With this new Free space error now I am going to just take it to a service center and demand a new phone. I think there is some kind of hardware error as I have done nothing in the programming. No new programs, no deleted programs, no changed settings.
I loved my Treo 650 and never had any problems with it. I am getting very disappointed in Palm now though with these ridiculous problems.

"Your AutoCorrect file, MSO2057.acl, could not be saved. ..." when attaching a document

I'm using Adobe Reader v10.
When I try to attach a document (txt, doc, or whatever), I get the message: "Your AutoCorrect file, MSO2057.acl, could not be saved. The file may be read only, or you may not have permission to modify the file."
Sometimes Acrobat freezes and sometimes I can continue to use it after I've attached the file. I've verified this error on a few pc's.
Winword.exe is *always launched and I have to kill the process via the Task Manager.
1.Why is acrobat trying to access MS proofing tools and how can I stop it from doing so?

You obviously have Acrobat Pro and not Adobe Reader. You probably need to adjust you security settings in the attachments settings.
You also probably are not the person who set these or maybe the default doesn't allow those types of files. Either way there probably needs to be an adjustment made. You or the Admin who set up security in your deployment package will need to make the adjustment to the deployment package. Here is the reference they need to read:

Delete the account on your phone under settings> Mail, contacts, calendars> hotmail account> delete. This will not erase anything on your email account as your phone only accesses the server. Then you can add the account again in the same place in settings. Just make sure you have the password so you can add it right away. Sometimes people forget their password because they never use it. If that's the case you can go online and click "forgot password" and resset it before you uninstall it on your phone. Hope this helps.

In trying to download an update I first received: "There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. Firefox could not be updated because: No data was received (please try again)" It also gave a link to download manually. When I tried from the Firefox website I got: /Users/(deleted for privacy)/Desktop/Firefox 3.6.3(2).dmg.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

If you assign values in classification view or configuration profile they will become default for the product, and it willnot be changed in sales order.
another thing if the item category is incorrect you will not get the configuration pop up at all .
problem what i understand from your thred is at the time of sales ordeer creation there is some inconsistances in the configuration , may be some condition is not fullfilling.
If in CU50 the result shown are error free, same configuration should owrk properly in sales configuration process, please again try to create it in sales order with same value assignment also check all the messages.
see the result of configuration before saving the sales order , i hoep it will work for you.
I am assuming all the things from SD are properly configured ie item catageory, varient pricing etc.
Check and revert back.

MessageRadioButton Value is not getting saved

Hi All,
I am facing an issue with Radio Button data.
When the page loads all the "No" buttons will be selected by default.When I select "Yes" radio buttton and click on "Save", all the radio buttons will get reset to "No" and same value will get passed further. Value of "Yes" button will not get saved.
Please help me in resolving this issue.

To retrieve the value of the Radio button, which is selected use the below

Also, if on click of button, you should once again set the radio button by calling setSelected() to retain the same look n feel, else, the selection wud jump to the other radio button.
Basically, developer guide says, that you cannot assign the group name or checked/unchecked value to the Radio button declaratively). For more information read
