Notification Body has header region attribute - 'Description' in English

We are on R12.0.4 global instance, base language is American English, Japanese is installed language.
The POREQAPPRV workflow was customized.
The 'Approve Requisition' notification message was replaced with 'Approve Requisition JRAD', as required.
But when the Japanese users opened the Approve Requisition notification message from their worklist, they are seeing many message attributes in Japanese, except the header region attribute 'Description' is in English. How does one fix the issue.

  • URL attributes not rendered on WF notification with embedded OAF Regions

I am customizing a notification which has embedded OAF regions. I need to put a URL in the message, for which I have created an item attribute of type URL, hardcoded this to a random URL for now, and pulled this down as a message attribute as well. I then put the message attribute in the HTML body as &URL_NAME after the framework regions. This, however, did not work. What happens is that in the notification, the URL message attribute is not token subsitute and instead of the URL link, plain text is rendered as URL_NAME. Also, I get a warning message at the top of the notification:
Attribute URL_NAME does not refer to a framework region
If I put the URL as the first attribute in the message body, then the URL is rendered correctly, and all the framework region attributes are rendered as text. It almost seems as if the message body can either have framework regions or message attribute tokens.
    Any inputs will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

I having a similar issue with the Expenses workflow. I have done the following
    Steps:
    1. Create custom OAF shared region
    2. Create form function XX_APPROVERS where WEB HTML is OA.jsp?page=/xx/oracle/apps/per/ame/dynamicapprovals/webui/xxApproversRN
    3. Create WF attribute XX_APPROVERS_HIERARCHY with value as JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_APPROVERS.
    4. Copied WF attribute to messsage and added &XX_APPROVERS_HIERARCHY to message body:
    &OIE_APEXP_BODY
    WF_NOTIFICATION(HISTORY)
    *&XX_APPROVAL_HIERARCHY*
For NEW expense reports/workflows , the notification is fine and the custom region is displayed. However, for workflows already in process the following WARNING is displayed:
Attribute XX_APPROVERS_HIERARCHY does not refer to a framework region.
In the notification body the attibute name is also displayed.
This does not prevent the person responding to the notifications. How can I prevent this warning and why does the change affect workflows already in process ?
    Thanks

  • Region Attributes and Region Header on Tab Template. Apex 5

    All,
In order to have my pages not scroll, but instead have a region scroll I would do an overflow on the region header and attributes in apex 4.
When using this same method on a tab template, all of the reports within the tab templates get shown one after another.
    eg;
    region attribute......style="width:350px;height:758px;"
    region header..... <div style="overflow: auto; width: 350; height: 700px;">
it does make the region scrollable, but the tabs stop working and instead are displayed one after another.
Does anyone know of a fix / workaround?

Please mention the theme and template you are using for the Interactive Report.
Can you re-produce the issue on apex.oracle.com and share the workspace credentials, so that can have closer look at the issue?

  • Header of a Descriptive Flexfield

    Hi all,
I've created a descriptive flex in my page but the text I set in Prompt property doesn't appear in runtime. The user wants to have a header saying "Additional Shipment Information" before their custom attributes. Do I have to create a header region explicitly and put my flex item inside it in order to get this result or there is an option or property missing??
The problem of create explicitly a header region is that it would appear even is the user disable the flex.
    Thanks in advance,
    Eduardo

I put this in my processRequest. I need to hide the header when the descriptive flexfield is disabled but the dffBean.isRendered() call always returns true.
    OADescriptiveFlexBean dffBean = (OADescriptiveFlexBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("ShipHdrDescFlex");
    if(dffBean != null && !dffBean.isRendered()) {
    OAHeaderBean flexHdr = (OAHeaderBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("FlexHdrRN");
    if(flexHdr != null) {
    flexHdr.setRendered(false);
    tks.

  • Making DW CS4 Nested Template Head Region Update to Pages

    Using DW CS4...
So I made a template, called main_template, and obviously it has an editable region named head. Now from main_template I made the nested template locations_template. Now I have code that I put in the head region of locations_template. This code does not propagate out to pages created from locations_template. I can't place an editable region within the head section in the nested template. How do I solve this problem?

    > 1st: "Error accessing file "...here appears the file
    name/path..." bad
    > file
    > path (error code 3) OKAY
This usually means you have other files open that may belong
    to templates
not in the current site. Make sure that you have other such
    files closed
and you won't get this error.
    > 2nd: When I click the OKAY button I get: "There is an
    error at line 5,
    > Column
    > 35 (absolute position 54) of "...here appears the file
    name/path..." :
    > Nested
    > edible regions.
This usually means you have an error in the template file -
    we would need to
see its code to diagnose further.
    > When I check the code at line 5 or 54 I find nothing
    relevant to "Nested
    > edible regions".
It could be referring to code errors like a missing
    </head>, or <body> tag,
    too.

  • Unable to edit header regions of template

I have just recently taken over the whole editing etc, publishiing , admin of some  websties.  i have purchased contribute CS5. I was previously using Contrbute 4, which allowed me to edit the whole of the pages'header, body etc..'  however, whereas the consultant adminsitrator allowed me to edit the header regions, I now do not seem to be able to do this in CS5.  Is it because the  administrator has done something to stop me or am I missing some vital bit of info.  I can edit the content.  The old administrator is acting as if I never could do this and says I need to use Dreamweaver, which I dont have and didnt need it before, I have open the index page in dreamweaver and I still find that I am unable to edit the header and it appears to be try to access an included file,  it is trying to access Templates/base.dwt trouble is this does not exist among the files, any idea's why this might be so or is there some trick to editing the headers now that I am missing, cheers in addvance
    dustin

    Hi Dustin,
You can edit the existing template in the Dreamweaver as for you requirement, by creating connection to that site in Dreamweaver.
While saving the template, Dreamweaver will prompt you, asking for updating the pages using this template. You can update all the pages using that template. So then changes you did in the template will be reflected in those pages.
For example, if you place the Header part in Editable region and save the changes and update in all the pages, then when you edit those pages, the header part will be editable.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Crystal didn't show the BEx query Attributes description changes/Values

We experiencing the BEx query attributes/crystal report  issue.
I create a crystal report using BW- BEx query. Bex query displays the attributes values. But in crystal report side it didn;t show up the values as well as description changes.
But If I change the display properties of attributes (different from one attribute to another) the crystal report reflect the values. But crystal report didn't show the Attribute description changes , the one i did it in BEx query side.
    Example:
Bex has a Masterdata as well as attribute Field1, Field2 etc.. I changed the description like Field_Test1 and Field_Test2. Also I changed the display property for Field_Test1 is Key and text and long , Field_Test2 is Text & LOng text.
I  got the attribute values is crystal report Xi R2. But crystal didn't reflect the description changes?
    Suggestions Please?

  • Error: REP-1219: 'Body' has no size

    I've got a runtime error whenever I set 'mode=character' :
REP-1219: 'Body' has no size -- length or width is zero
    What is 'Body' mean ? Header Section's body ? Main Section's body ? ... ?
How can I solve this error ?
    Thanks.

Error:          REP-1219: ‘Body’ has no size – length or width is zero
    Solution:
Report height changed to 50 solved error REP-1219: ‘Body’ has no size – length or width is zero.
The property sheet values for ‘Report Width and ‘Report Height under Layout Model Node, ‘Character Mode’, for ‘Header Section’, Main Section’ and ‘Trailer Section all matched in the original version of the report.
    Report Width:           126
    Report Height:      50
Report height was modified to 45 while making other changes.
When Report height was changed from 45 , back to the original value of 50 the REP-1219 error was resolved.

  • REP-1219 - Body has no size - width or length is zero

I run my report on my desktop and it runs fine. I then register it under the Concurrent Manager in Oracle Apps. When I run it, I get the following message: "REP-1219 - Body has no size - width or length is zero". Do you have any suggestions on why I only get this after I register it.

    Hi John,
I think there is some problem in Report Header Or Report Footer, you do one small R&D. First you remove the Report Header and generate the report and Second Time you remove the Report Footer and generate the report.
I am sure that you will get the report...
If you get the report output then that means there is some problem in Report Header or Footer,After that in the Report Header before the Feilds, you keep some Space and in the Report Footer also after feild you keep some space.
    Try This

  • Retrieve Attribute Description with Novell.Directory.Ldap C#

I'm trying to retrieve all available attributes in the schema using
    Novell.Directory.Ldap.dll
    I use:
    LdapSchema schema = _ldapConnection.FetchSchema(schemaDN);
    Then I get Enumerator:
    IEnumerator attributeSchemas = schema.LDAPSchema.AttributeSchemas
All attributes in the enumerator contain Name only. No Description.
I can retrieve Description using some other technology, but I would like
    to use just this one.
Is there a way to retrieve an attribute description fro LDAP/Active
    Directory using Novell.Directory.Ldap.dll?
    Thank you.

That seems a little odd to me. Schema entries are not, as far as I have
ever seen, retrievable by ONLY their names. If you ask for cn=schema
and you ask for attributeTypes or objectClasses you get everything about
them because each schema definition is one "value" on the cn=schema
"object" not to be grabbed in pieces. I would bet that your application
has all of the information from the LDAP source and it's now just a
matter of figuring out how to see the details. You could (dis)prove
this via a LAN trace when requesting schema, most-easily over TCP port 389.
    Good luck.

  • Conditional Header and Footer description print in Report

    Hello,
Is it possible to print different header or footer of a report depend on condition.
My requirement to change the header and footer description on a fly depend upon the parameter passed to the report.
    Any soultion ...
    Sam

    hello samar
of course this is possible. paint your first desidered header/footer, place it in frame and add format trigger on this frame to display it when you want it, otherswise return false. the same is for other possible headers/footers. then place all those frames on same position. look at conditions to display only one header/footer at a time :)
or seccond (in case of simplier structure) is to place in header/footer only one bolierplate text with value f.e. &p_footer and then send value you want to see in footer n parameter p_footer ...
