Notification Create time in PCO 2.1
Hello,
I am using PCo 2.1.6.0 and I have observed a difference of 4 hrs between the Notification Create time and the time zone where actually PCo is installed.
In my current scenario both PCo & the data source (OSI PI) are installed on the same server which follows the EDT/EST time zone.
The notification message create date that is sent to MII (which also resides in the EST/EDT TZ) show a + 4 hrs (I think it shows GMT). I observe the same time when I do a "Test Notification Delivery" --> "View Sample" for a notification.
On the PCo Mgmt Console if I navigate to Tools --> Options and further expand Global Properties and click Date/Time format the correct time is displayed.
Additionally if I run a TAG query against the same Agent the correct time is returned.
Why is there a difference for the notification then, when everything is in the same TZ? Am I missing some config setting in PCo?
I have not come across any SAP note on this issue and could not find any older posts referring to this behavior.
Thanks for the help.

Ud,
Ok, so to fully answer your original question as to why there is a difference in the timestamps of a PCo notification and a MII Query to a PCo agent.
The notifications always use UTC which is universal time regardless of timezones or system settings and was agreed upon as the best approach to keep track of when messages were actually created. If you want current timestamp of the server in the message payload you can add an Expression with the value of "datenow()" and I believe that this will give you the current timestamp of the PCo server.
When you query a PCo agent from MII, the MII Time Engine will take care of the timezone conversion for you in order to ensure that date from the proper time ranges the user is asking for is returned to them. Since the MII and PCo servers can be located in diffferent regions/timezones we have to handle this in our time engine.
Does this make sense?

Sam

Notifications created as follow up action from a notification????
Hi all,
I am creating a Quality Notification as a folloup action of a MAintenance Notification.
The Quality Notification is craeted in the background.
Now I want which are the Quality Notifications created from a Maintenance Notification.
In short I want the relation between Reference Notification and Notification created as Followup Action.
How I can see the notifications creted with reference to current notification in IW220r IW23.
Also how I can see which is the reference notification for current notification in IW22,IW23.
With best regards,
NarendraHi,
In IW22 or IW23 click document flow button or press CTRL+F4 you can get both PM & QM Notification no.
In QM notification you can see the PM notification no. as reference.

Get the created time stamp of a file...
Hi Guys,
I am trying to get the created time stamp of a text file from oracle... How is this possible? I tried using UTL_FILE but didnt succeed so....
Thanks...
Edited by: Napster on Oct 21, 2010 12:43 AMYou may try something like this.
create or replace and compile java source named filehandler as
import java.lang.*;
import java.util.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.sql.Timestamp;
public class FileHandler
private static int SUCCESS = 1;
private static int FAILURE = 0;
public static Timestamp lastModified (String path) {
File myFile = new File (path);
return new Timestamp(myFile.lastModified());
}Then the wrapper
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION lastModified (p_path IN VARCHAR2) RETURN DATE
AS LANGUAGE JAVA
NAME 'FileHandler.lastModified (java.lang.String) return java.sql.Timestamp';PS: Not tested. -

I would like to how to get the data of all roles created in a single day .
Is there anyway to query this out ?
Thanks
SubinI do not think Oracle provides this information in any rdbms dictionary view, however, you can as a sysdba look at the sys.user$ base table create time, ctime#, column for roles since Oracle stores roles as users.
> create role dummy_test_sql;
Role created.
> set echo on
> @role_cre_today
> select name, ctime from sys.user$
2 where name in (select role from dba_roles)
3 and trunc(ctime) = trunc(sysdate)

Create time dimension table in repository without data warehouse
Hi,
I want to implement only BI repository solution in my customer (not datawarehousing). Is it possible to transform the data by repository tools, so that the times columns in fact tables are categorized by the "time dimension" table?
To be more explanatory:
The "Sales" table has the "time of sale" column. It contains the timestamp when the sale was performed. I have imported this table in "physical layer" of the repository. Now I want to create a new "time dimension" table, something like:
CREATE TABLE dimension_time (
Day_Key INT NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
Day_Timestamp DATETIME NOT NULL,
Day_Name NVARCHAR(32) NOT NULL,
Day_Text NVARCHAR(32) NOT NULL,
INSERT INTO dimension_time VALUES (20110101, {d '2011-01-01'}, '1/1', 'January 1', 'Saturday', 0, 6, 1, 1, 185, 1, 201052, 'W52', 'Week 52', 52, 201101, '01', 'January', 1, 7, 1004, 'Winter', 'Winter', 20111, 'Q1', '1st Quarter', 1, 20103, 'Q3', '3rd Quarter', 3, 20111, 'S1', '1st Semester', 1, 20102, 'S2', '2nd Semester', 2, 2011, '2011', '2011', 2010, '10/11', '2010/2011', 0);
INSERT INTO dimension_time VALUES (20110102, {d '2011-01-02'}, '2/1', 'January 2', 'Sunday', 0, 7, 2, 2, 186, 2, 201052, 'W52', 'Week 52', 52, 201101, '01', 'January', 1, 7, 1004, 'Winter', 'Winter', 20111, 'Q1', '1st Quarter', 1, 20103, 'Q3', '3rd Quarter', 3, 20111, 'S1', '1st Semester', 1, 20102, 'S2', '2nd Semester', 2, 2011, '2011', '2011', 2010, '10/11', '2010/2011', 0);
and after to add a new column in "sales" fact table for "time dimension ID" and through the repository populate this column based on the "time of sale" column and the corresponding "time dimension ID".
I know that the ETL process might perform it, but I do not want to go for Data Warehousing (it is not real - time, needs more resources, etc).
Is it possible to perform such action only on repository?
Thank you.Hi,
I can do it, but this would be usefull only to create "time dimension" table. But also the "sales" fact table needs to be altered (thus, the "time" column will not contain the value of the time, but the ID of the corresponding time in the "time dimension" table).
I know that on DW this procedure is done automatically by the ETL process.
My question is that does the repository has any tools similar to this?
Thank you. -
Unable to create time series ago function
Hello guys
I am running into a problem about time series function, ago function
I have a simple schema, fact <---->Time dimension
I have created time dimension hierarchy where month is the lowest level, I have also made it "time dimension" and month is the "chronogical key"..
When applying ago function, I am putting my measure from the fact table, level as "month" from time dimension table, and 1 meaning 1 month ago, when I complile it, I get the following error:
[nQSError: 27009] Unresolved identifier: "FTTNBILLSUM"."FTTNOBIEEBILLTIME"."Month".
Could anybody help me out as what the system doesn't like about this column?
ThanksThanks Maden
I did the correction and now it's giving a different error: [nQSError: 22038] Function AGO requires at least one measure attribute in its first argument.
My code is:
Ago("FTTNBILLSUM"."F_Bill_Sum"."ATM_UNITS_Sum" , "FTTNBILLSUM"."D_Time"."Month" , 1)
I have time hierarchy that names: D_Time with Month at the lowest level with Chrono keys, there is no level above it except grand total level, so only 2 level hierachy
I have a fact table that is F_Bill_Sum, which is join to D_Time... I made the D_time both the name of table and hierarchy
Please let me know what this error is coming from
Thanks -
Blink cursor when create timer
Hi all.
I create timer in form9iDS when open a stacked canvase,
When the mouse is over this canvase the cursor blink until delete timer.
please help me.
thanks.Hi!
May try the following:
Create for example a parameter or a package variable of type number with initial value 0 in your form.
In your when-new-form-instance trigger create a repeating timer lets say ticking every 20 seconds.
In your pre-item/post-item and may a when-mouse-click trigger set the variable back to 0.
In your when-timer-expired trigger, add 20 to your above created number variable
and if your timeout is reached, what means for example the variable is above 100, clear the form.
btw: everytime you create a timer, first check if it is already there.
DECLARE
timer_id Timer := find_timer ( 'emp_timer' );
BEGIN
if
id_null ( timer_id )
then
timer_id := CREATE_TIMER ('emp_timer', 10000, REPEAT);
end if;
END;Regards -
Error in Creating Time series objects in APO 5.0
Hi, We are implementing APO 5.0. I am trying to Create Time series objects for Planning Area 9ASNP05, but getting the following Run Time Error
We have used Support Package 10

I have a form where the user prints their schedules. This form never closes, I mean no exit. It is open 24/7. I want to populate the data, I mean execute query and get data as the schedule_changes table gets data with various forms. Is there a way to create a timer and then call when-timer-expired that can execute_query? I want to know where can I create a timer? I have one create_timer in when-new-form-instance. I also want a trigger, where this create-timer executes automatically. Any help experts?
Which version of Forms are you using.
If you are using 11.X then this can be achieved without using timer. -

Why we are using event receivers in creating timer jobs?
Hi All,
Why we are using event receivers in creating timer jobs?
Thanks in advance!Hi,
Suppose you are creating a custom timer job following the steps which are similar as what this demo provides:
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/403323/SharePoint-Create-Custom-Timer-Jobs
In this demo, an Event Receiver is created for installing the Job Definition when we deploy the solution or uninstalling it when we extract this solution.
Here, the Event Receiver listens to the FeatureActivated evetn and the FeatureDeactivating event, which corresponding to the timing of activating and deactivating the feature
of this solution, it just like a switch during the life cycle of a solution in a SharePoint site collection which will make us easier to manage the features coming with a solution package.
More information about feature and solution:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/aa543214(v=office.14).aspx
https://www.simple-talk.com/dotnet/.net-tools/using-features-and-solutions-to-deploy-your-sharepoint-customizations/
Feel free to reply if this is not what your question about or there are still any questions.
Best regards,
