Hi,
I am new to BI. I created fresh respository from the scratch.
When run the consistency check I get the following messages.
[nQSError: 15001] Could not load navigation space for subject area SALES.
[nQSError: 15003] Missing most detailed table for dimension tables: [Products,Customers].
Can anyone help me on this.

Got rid of the problem by deleting and recreating the dimension tables.

Business Model Core:

I got this error when I tried to configure # of Elapsed Days and # of Cumulative Elapsed Days by following way-
1. Using the Administration Tool, open OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd.

2. In the Business Model and Mapping layer, go the logical table Fact - Fins - Period
Days Count.
3. Under Sources, select the Fact_W_DAY_D_PSFT logical table source.
4. Clear the Disabled option in the General tab and click OK.
5. Open the other two logical table sources, Fact_W_DAY_D_ORA and Fact_W_
DAY_D_PSFT, and select the Disabled option.
6. Add the "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count" and "Dim - Company" logical tables to
the Business Model Diagram. To do so, right-click the objects and select Business
Model Diagram, Selected Tables Only.
7. In the Business Model Diagram, create a new logical join from "Dim - Company"
to "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count." The direction of the foreign key should be
from the "Dim - Company" logical table to the "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count"
table. For example, on a (0,1):N cardinality join, "Dim - Company" will be on the
(0/1) side and "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count" will be on the N side.
8. Under the Fact - Fins - Period Days Count logical table, open the "# of Elapsed
Days" and "# of Cumulative Elapsed Days" metrics, one at a time.
9. Go to the Levels tab. For the Company dimension, the Logical Level is set to All.
Click the X button to remove it. Repeat until the Company dimension does not
have a Logical Level setting.
10. Make sure to check Global Consistency to ensure there are no errors, and then
save the RPD file.

Yes ! My Task Hierarchy has 3 dimension tables that form a hierarchy :Execution Plan -> Tasks -> Detail
All the 3 levels in the hierarchy are 3 different dimension tables.

the time key is incorrectly specified at the lowest level. In the 'ERP_YEAR_MONTH' table, have you correctly specified the primary key for the table?
For example, if the lowest level of granularity is MONTH, then the appropriate key is probably a combination of YEAR and MONTH (not simply MONTH).

OBIEE Plug-in for AWM error: Missing spread attribute for dimension\

Hi,
While trying to export a cube to OBIEE administrator using the AWM plugin for OBIEE we get the following error for a lot of dimensions.
AWM version is 11.1.0.7.0B on a 11.1.0.7 DB
ERROR: Missing spread attribute for dimension DAY_FLG at level ALL_FLAGS
ERROR: Missing spread attribute for dimension DAY_FLG at level FLAG
ERROR: Validation problems found for dimension DAY_FLG
Dimension DAY_FLG will not have UDML generated
As suggested in other forums I have created a long_desc attribute and selected the "created level attribute in views" option for all the dimensions in the cube, still the error persists.
Please help.

Thanks for you response David. But I'm afraid this does not solve the problem. I did it to all the dimensions and the error on day_flg persists. I noticed that an error on one of the other dimensions thougfh has changed. Detailed error below:

To Fix error: In AWM on the attribute panel for the long description attribute of each applicable dimension -
select the check box 'Create level attribute columns in views'
ERROR: Missing spread attribute for dimension DAY_FLG at level FLAG
ERROR: Validation problems found for dimension DAY_FLG
Dimension DAY_FLG will not have UDML generated
ERROR: Missing spread attribute for dimension HOUR at level ALL_HRS
ERROR: Spread Attribute HR_LONG_DESC found but is not visible for level HR
The dimension HOUR will be marked invalid and no UDML will be generated for this dimension or any cube dimensioned by this dimension.
ERROR: Validation problems found for dimension HOUR

More than 5 rows in the detail table for a Master Detail Portlet

I have a Master Detail Portlet.   I originally had 5 fields in the detail portlet. I have added a column to the detail portlet and now the last column is wrapped around in the portlet. I do not see a way to force it to be on the same line as the rest of the columns for the detail table.
Do I need to just delete it and re-create the portlet?
Below is the from the browser when executing the portlet.

Easy, The default on the detail field had the Begin on New Line flag set to on.   By unchecking it I got the desired behavior.

Archiving Object - Entry missing in Customizing table for object Z*********

We have created a archiving object in transaction AOBJ. However when i enter this object in SARA, we get this error message.

I have matched my object with few other archiving objects and things looks similar.

Hi,
I checked and i can see entry for ZSCS_TRAFO object in AOBJ.
But when i enter ZSCS_TRAFO, i get this error :
Entry missing in Customizing table for object ZSCS_TRAFO
Message no. BA057
Diagnosis
A function cannot be executed due to a missing table entry.
Procedure
Please create an entry for the archive object ZSCS_TRAFO with the AOBJ transaction.
However, a few other Z objects works well.

Filtering not working for newly added child objects in master-detail table

Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 version.
Problem scenario:
Filtering of records is not working for newly created child objects in a master-detail scenario.
Steps to reproduce this issue using HR Schema (using LOCATIONS and DEPARTMENTS table ) :
1. Create Business components (EO's & VO's ) for LOCATIONS & DEPARTMENTS table)
1. Create a .jspx page and insert a readonly master table of Locations
2. Insert a child table (inline-edit table) of Departments and enable filtering
4. For the child table, drag and drop CreateInsert operation as a toolbar button .
5. Create a new child record using the toolbar button and enter data .
6. Filtering on the newly created child record's attributes does not work.
Please note that the same filter works for existing child records.
Any suggestions for resolving this issue?

Found from Fusion Developer's Guide the following snippet about QBE functionality :
"+When you create data controls, all data collections will automatically include a Named Criteria node with an All Queriable Attributes criteria. This is the default view criteria that includes all the searchable attributes or columns of the data collection. You cannot edit or modify this view criteria+. "
So, the question is if the implicit view criteria cannot be edited, how else to set the query execution mode to "Both" ?
Shouldn't ADF BC support this by default? Is this a bug?
Note:- If you create a maste-detail table using POJO datacontrols, filter works correctly for newly created child records also .
This seems to be an issue with ADF-BC datacontrols only.

Computation only works for FIRST record in detail table

Hi,
I am having a weird problem. I have a master/detail form with page computations that work only for the very first record inserted into the detail table. If i try to enter a second or a third record the fields DO NOT get updated with the return values.
This is driving me nuts and i am on a deadline with this project. HELP!!!!!
Here is the code for all the computations below. Interestingly enough, only the name computation works for every new detail record. The others work only for the first.

I want to create a View cluster for maintaining 2 tables (one is the header table and other is the detail table)
....for each line in the header table there can be multiple detail line items...
If anyone has worked on such requirement...please tell me how should i go about developing it.

Iterator estimatedRowCount for detail table

Hi,
My UI page has two tables - master and detail table. I would like to hide the "Edit" button for the details table if there is no row in the details table. Here is the code snipplet

However, when first entering the page, bindings.ItasStateTransitionsVO1Iterator.estimatedRowCount returns 0 even though there are some rows. Only when I clicked on a row in the master table, then the details table got refreshed, then the bindings.ItasStateTransitionsVO1Iterator.estimatedRowCount will return the correct value.
Any ideas of how to fix this issue so bindings.ItasStateTransitionsVO1Iterator.estimatedRowCount will return the correct value the first time entering the page?

I didn't do any additional coding to select the first row in the master table but somehow I believe the ADF framework automatically selected it when the page renders as I can see the first row in the master table is highlighted and the detail table is rendered correctly with the data. But the detail table's iterator estimatedRowCount is returning 0. Any ideas why?

How to check whether this number range buffering for dimension tables (DIM IDs) and InfoObjects (SIDs) is Active or not ??
can you please provide me this technical information where to go and check in the system ?

The Early Watch report lists these because of the large number of rows in the MD/Dim tables. Keep in mind though, that Number Range buffering will really only help if you continue to generate a large volume of new SIDs or Dim IDs with ongoing loads, e.g.
If your transactions being loaded to a cube result in several thousand new rows being added a Dim table, then it makes sense to turn on Number Range buffering for that Dim ID. But if the transaction volume is only cause a few hundred DIM IDs to be added, buffering will not really get you anything.
