NQSError: 15019, Hierarchy / Aggregates problem

Hello,
I have a problem with a hierarchy when I want to implement an aggregate fact and dimension table in the repository.
I have a logical dimension table Time, a logical fact table and a hierarchy Time with the following levels: All,Years, YearWeeks, Days).
The logical time dimension table has now two sources:
Calendar (Logical level: Day)
YearWeeks Calendar (Logical level: YearWeek)
The logical fact table has also two sources:
Day Facts (Logical level: Day)
Week Facts (Logical level: YearWeek)
I have also mapped the logical columns to the correct source tables, also for those columns which have multiple source tables.
When I check on global consistency I get the following error:
[nQSError: 15019] Table Time is functionally dependent upon level YearWeek, but a more detailed child level has associated columns from that same table or a more detailed table.
I don't know how to resolve this problem. Is there something I forgot or something I have to check? Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Stijn

hi,
you must understand that when you are making a hieracly from a dimension table the lowest level must be unique!
@@the data is at city-> country-> Region level.
in your example region level,this means, that the key for the fact must be region level and the others...
rebuild your table
hope i helped...

    Hi,
    I am facing a error in a hierarchy during the consistency check.
    I have a dimension DIM_REGION
    the data is at city-> country-> Region level.
    I have this dimension to join to facts in different levels. Some facts are joined at City level and the other facts are
    joined at Country level.
    Now when i create a hierarchy in BMM layer it gives the error.

    Please help me wtih a approach to solve this.
    I also tried created a alias on DIM_REGION[Country] at country level and separated the joins and made a hierarchy for this, but still facing the problem.

  • For direct activation of hierarchy, Aggregates have to be deactivated

    Hi,
    There are 2 monthly master data hierarchies loaded.
    We face some problem while loading the hierarchies.
    Now the 2 hierarchies are seen as Modified version.
    When I try to activate the hierarchies manually I receive the below message
    "For direct activation of hierarchy, 0042 Aggregates have to be deactivated"
    with 2 options as:
    1 Prebook activation
    2 Activate directly
    What are these options?
    Will affect on aggregates?

    hi,
    Activate directly wlll directly activate the hierarchy....
    Prebook for activation will capture it and it will be activated later at the time of the chnage run.
    Always prefer Prebook for activation...
    hope this helps.
    regards,
    Mahesh

  • Hierarchy Display Problem

    Hi,
    I've got a query driven from an organisational unit HR hierarchy. Unfortunately, neither way of presenting the information from the hierarchy is satisfactory.
    The two options I know of are to have the rows showing as a flat structure, but org. unit displaying as a hierarchy, or have all the rows displayed within a hierarchy.
    For example, with org unit as hierarchy, but the rows flat I'd get something like this:
    Org Unit   Grantholder   GrantNo   Sponsor    Grant Value
    University Prof X        441       Test Co.   100
                             442       TestCorp   75
               Prof Y        443       Test Co.   120
               Prof Z        444       TestCorp   80
                                          Result: 375
    Faculty   Prof X        441       Test Co.   100
                             442       TestCorp   75
               Prof Y        443       Test Co.   120
               Prof Z        444       TestCorp   80
                                          Result: 375
      Res Sch  Prof X        441       Test Co.   100
                             442       TestCorp   75
               Prof Y        443       Test Co.   120
               Prof Z        444       TestCorp   80
                                          Result: 375
       Dept A  Prof X        441       Test Co.   100
                             442       TestCorp   75
               Prof Y        443       Test Co.   120
                                          Result: 295
       Dept B  Prof Z        444       TestCorp   80
                                          Result: 80
    There will be potentially thousands of Grantholders at University level through to dozens within a department. This approach becomes grossly unwieldly for a user.
    The obvious way to overcome this is to show grantholders only within the node they are assigned by setting the entire set of rows to use a hierarchical structure:
    Hierarchical Rows     Grant Value
    University            375
      Faculty             375
        Research School   375
          Department A    295
            Prof X        175
              441         100
                Test Co.  100
              442          75
                TestCorp   75
            Prof Y        120
              443         120
                Test Co.  120
          Department B     80
            Prof Z         80
              444          80
                TestCorp   80
    As the characteristics aren't laid out in labelled columns, the results are less clear and with even a small number of characteristics, drilling down within the hierarchy becomes a chore. Also, the BEx Analyser can't handle all the indents required for four levels of hierarchy and then a dozen characteristics.
    I'm aware there are a few cosmetic options to play with, such as opening nodes above instead or below in the first example or defaulting open all nodes at a specified level in the second example, but none of those solve the core problems.
    Ideally, the solution I'm looking for would produce the results shown below:
    Org Unit   Grantholder   GrantNo   Sponsor    Grant Value
    University                            Result: 375
    Faculty                              Result: 375
      Res Sch                             Result: 375
       Dept A  Prof X        441       Test Co.   100
                             442       TestCorp   75
               Prof Y        443       Test Co.   120
                                          Result: 295
       Dept B  Prof Z        444       TestCorp   80
                                          Result: 80
    (To be honest, to me this seems the most obvious way to present hierarchical data, so I find it surprising that it's not a standard option).
    Another option might be if the org unit hierarchy can be split into separate columns:
    Node 1     Node 2   Node 3   Node 4  Grantholder, etc...
    University Faculty  Res Sch  Dept A  Prof X
                                         Prof Y
                                 Dept B  Prof Z
    This is the approach used in the original versions of the reports that we're trying to re-create in BW. However, in that case, each org unit record held information for all its parent nodes and this isn't the case with the org unit hierarchy we get from SAP.
    These reports will be delivered predominantly via the web.
    Any suggestions for compromises would also be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Vincent,
    we came across the same problem. Moreover, the way the hierarchies are displayed interfere with our authorizations on the hierarchies. By giving detailed data on Root level, the user sees information that he is not entitled to see.
    I am sorry that I cannot offer any help right now. Did you come across a solution in the mean time?
    Regards
    Catrin

    Hi check the below link.it helps you..
    https://forums.oracle.com/thread/972762
    This basically means that the write operation into the cache file fails.
    First of all, check whether the [Cache] section in your NQSConfig.ini is configured properly (path, size, etc.).
    Then check wether the user account running the BI server service has the rights to write into that folder structure.
    If you have doubts about the data quantity get the actual queries fired against the source database from the log files to see what the resulting data set looks like.
    Also, try running a test with caching turned off.
    Mark it if helps/correct

  • Aggregate Problems?

    Hello
    Im using SAP BI 7.0
    using WebReports
    For example:
    - Characteristic - "SHOP"
    - Key - Plan1, Last_year, This_Year, Value
    I have this problem:
    1) Without Aggrates my informations is like
    SHOP |||| Plan1| Last_year | This_year | Vaule |
    Italy 500 400 450 300
    milan 300 200 250 200
    rome 200 200 200 100
    (milan, rome are in hierarquy)
    its whole correct.
    a) when i run aggregate the values get like:
    SHOP |||| Plan1| Last_year | This_year | Vaule |
    Italy 500 800x 450 600x
    The values are wrong? Why? Cache problems?
    How can I correct this problem?
    b) in another reports for example, after expanding till 3rd hierarquy node the values gets correct.
    for the 1rst node:
    SHOP |||| Plan1| Last_year | This_year | Vaule |
    Italy 500 800x 900x 300
    milan 300 200 250 200
    rome 200 200 200 100
    for the second node:
    SHOP |||| Plan1| Last_year | This_year | Vaule |
    Italy 500 800x 900x 300
    milan 300 200 250 200
    A 100 100 150 50
    B 200 100 100 150
    rome 200 200 200 100
    (still wrong)
    for the 3rd node:
    SHOP |||| Plan1| Last_year | This_year | Vaule |
    Italy 500 400y 450y 300
    milan 300 200 250 200
    A 100 100 150 50
    x 100 100 150 50
    B 200 100 100 150
    rome 200 200 200 100
    the values get CORRECT.
    Why this is happening
    How Can i solve this situation??
    Thank you very much
    My Best Regard

    And to add to the saga one last time, I can't reproduce that success reported in the last message.
    Does anyone know where on the filesystem these settings are actually stored? /Library/Preferences/com.apple.audio.DeviceSettings.plist seems like a likely candidate, but it doesn't say anything about my aggregate device that Audio MIDI Setup clearly shows... And /Library/Preferences/com.apple.audio.AudioMIDISetup.plist is just a very short file containing a serialized ObjC object or three...

In DWH you will be loading data at leaf level and OLAP engine does aggregation(solve) and store data at higher level. What you are seeing is correct as any node's value is equal to the sum of values of its children.

  • Hierarchy Authorization Problem

    Hi experts!
    I am implementing Analysis Authorization Using Variable and one of the object is Org unit hierarchy authorization. The idea is to populate the personnel's authorized value of org unit into the hierarchy authorization and it is then allowed to see its node and anything below its node.
    Say for example I am Authorized to Orgunit A0 and I should see A1 and A2 as well which are the children of A0 and when I ran the query I am only able to see A0 only thou there are records of A1 and A2
    What should I toggle to be able to see A0 together with its children (A1 and A2)?
    The settings in for hierarchy authorization is TYPE 1( Subtrees below the node ) and Validity Range 2 (Name Identical)
    Points will be awarded !

    I suspect it is the problem with my customer exit because when I maintain the value directly it, appears correctly.
    I wonder if I do it correctly. Here is a snippet of the code... Please advise me. Thanks!

  • Hierarchy indentation problem in the sql report region

    I've the following sql statement in sql report region. it works fine by bringing the all the users reporting to a manager correctly. In the sample user table below manager/id are in parent/child relationship.
    select id from user_table start with upper(id)=upper(:p332_person_short_id) connect by prior id = manager
    user1
    user2
    user3
    where user2 and user3 are reporting to user1.
    But I want to give some indentation between the user levels to show the hierarchy clearly in the report as below
    user1
    user2
    user3
    I tried with the following statment. It does indent the users correctly but in hierarchy is reversed.
    select LPAD(' ',6*(Level-1))|| id "User" from user_table start with upper(id)=upper(:p332_person_short_id) connect by prior id = manager
    the output is
    user2
    user3
    user1
    Any help is appreciated.

    I think padding with blanks will not work in HTML. You will have to pad with " ".
    So, something like this should work:
    select replace(lpad('@',6*(level-1),'@'),'@',' ')||id "User" from ....
    Hope that helps

  • Hierarchy display problem in BW:BEX

    Members,
    I have an issue with displaying hierarchy in BEx. It is for a profit center hierarchy.  The heirarchy is loaded for info object 0Profit_ctr, attribute change run is completed and it shows as an active hierarchy in maintain hierarchy settings. I checked the H table, I'm able to see the hierarchy values. In Bex for the InfoObj, I have selected the active hierarchy checkbox and the hierarchy name. I get a '#' symbol, which is basically a not assigned symbol. It is not that I want to suppress #, but I get the not assigned symbol for all profit ctrs, including the ones which belong to the heirarchy(standard).
    Eg: #/1000002626 (i.e. hier/prctr).
    I traced the flow for 0profit_ctr from Datasource to the Infoprovider, also the master data. If I try using a hierarchy to filter, no data is selected, it is the same case when I do it in Hierarchy attributes setting by level in the maintain hierarchies.But I have a lot of data(i.e. with many profit centers ) that belongs to that hierarchy.I tried using both variable and fixed hier.
    Believe I'm missing something. Any help and pointers are really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    yes its diaplaying for all the levels in the query and upto only 6 levels in the portal.
    is there any way to set the level of hierarchy in th WAD in the teamplate.
    I have one query which is displayed in the portal. The Query has hierarchial selection criteria. I am executing the same query using analyzer. Its taking the variable from the selection and displaying it on the analyzer. I have used the option to " display the query on web " from the BEX query designer. From there its opening and displaying the results with the given selection criteria.
    Where as when i open the query seperately in portal, its not displaying the results upto the entire level of hierachy ( only 6 levels are displayed
    I came to know from one of my colleague that the porblem is with the Web item and the hierarchial variable declared in WAD was different from the variable declared in the BEX Query designer.
    Pls advise on this ..

  • Customer exit hierarchy variable problem

    Hi together,
    does anyone know, how many entries I can insert into the e_t_range table?
    The reason is the following. We are having a hierarchy on WBS_ELEMT. And we want to create a query which shows only the values which are on level 3. So I want to eliminate level 1 and level 2.
    So I created a custEx variable, where I include every entry from the table /BI0/HWBS_ELEMT with TLEVEL = 3 for the specific hierarchy.
    In the test environment everything works fine, but when I'm in the integration system the hierarchy seems to become to large and I receive an error.
    Does anyone know the maximum number of selections I can do to the e_t_range? Or does anyone hay another idea, how to create a new dynamicly created hierarchy on runtimer?
    Kind Regards

    Hi Satria,
    Instead of following code ---
    CLEAR l_s_range-low.
    IF loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000030000'
    OR loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000010130'.
    l_s_range-low = 'MEZBUNITMDI'.
    l_s_range-high = '0HIER_NODE'.
    ELSEIF loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000040000'
    OR loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000010160'.
    l_s_range-low = 'MEZBUNITMPI'.
    l_s_range-high = '0HIER_NODE'.
    ENDIF.
    try this ---
    IF loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000030000'
    OR loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000010130'.
    l_s_range-low = 'MEZBUNITMDI'.
    ELSEIF loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000040000'
    OR loc_var_range-low EQ '000000000000010160'.
    l_s_range-low = 'MEZBUNITMPI'.
    ENDIF.
    Note : whenver the option is EQ, the system takes only low value.

    lets say  A0
                  A1
                  A2
    are the respective persons release code of the PR in the given hierrachy. Lets say that no pre requistie is specified for the release prerequistie. Client wants to forward first work item for approval to A0 first after a deadine of 8 days he wants that to be forwarded to A1 ( inspite of not approved from A0 ) and if A1 also not approves then it should be forwarded to A2 and wait there for ever for the final approval.
    But presently what happens is that there are three seperate work items that are getting created and simultaneosly forwarding to A0,A1, A2 and seperately waitng for their approval. so do plese suggest me with any invovative steps to achieve the requirments if possible.

    Hi,
    As you have explained the issue:
    a) in the AWB all nodes are available
    b) posting in the nodes have occurred but some are showing zeroes (probably due to some postings that have occurred but are summed to zero)
    c) all values for the hierarchy don't show up in the query.
    if this is the correct situation then go into the query designer, to the characteristics that you have the hierarchy assigned - then use the properties, ADVANCED, Access type for result values - chose MASTER DATA. then execute your report - you should see that all of the nodes are displayed - now, if you are in the web you may need to go to the characteristic properties within the report and then turn OFF the property on the HIERARCHY tab - show only posted values. this is defaulted to be ON. if you are working within the BEX Analyzer you may have to go into the query and make sure that the same property is set in the PROPERTIES option and on the TAB > GENERAL.
    Hope this helps, Pete

  • Customer Sales hierarchy loading problem.

    Hi All,
    We are trying to load 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER from R/3.
    The load goes fine , but he problem is for one particular node one of the levels does not get extra cted.
    For all the customers level 1 , level 2 and level 3 are extracted but for this particular customer only level 1 and 2 are extracted. We can see data for level 3 for this custoemr on the r/3 side but its not getting extracted to BW.
    Please Advise how we could fix this.
    Greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    HM

    Hello,
    Did you find an explanation and preferrably a solution for this problem?
    Kind regards from Belgium,

  • Hierarchial query problem

    Hi,
    We are trying to convert some old sql code to using Hierarchical queries, but am finding that the connect by expression is causing some errors for us. I have tried to follow the managedEmployees example from the web site but am not getting the parameters set correctly and keep getting the error below. I have attached our old code as well as the new code using Toplink. Please let me know if you see any issues with this.
    Also, we have wrapped the Expression and ReadAllQuery classes with our own classes which is why we're not invoking those directly in the code below.
    Thanks for the help,
    Mark
    Old SQL
              DataExpression where = new DataExpression().get("organizationId").notNull();
              String extraSQL = new String("");
              extraSQL += " START WITH organization_id = " + orgId + " ";
              extraSQL += " CONNECT BY PRIOR organization_id = parent_id ";
              where.appendSQL(extraSQL);
    Hierarchical query using Toplink
              DataReadAllQuery raq = new DataReadAllQuery(Organization.class);
    //          Specify a START WITH expression
              DataExpression startExpr = new DataExpression().get("organizationId").equal(orgId);
    //          Specifies a CONNECT BY expression
              DataExpression connectBy = new DataExpression().get("organizationId").equal(new DataExpression().get("parentId"));
    //          Specifies an ORDER SIBLINGS BY vector
              Vector order = new Vector();
              raq.setHierarchicalQueryClause(startExpr, connectBy, order);
              return QueryEngine.readAll(raq);
