Nspluginwrapper install, and flash
Hi, I just migrated from Ubuntu, thus I've never had to build package before. I downloaded nspluginwrapper from AUR, went into the directory, did a makepkg and got a nspluginwrapper.install among other files. My question is, where do I go from here? How do I install it so I can install flash (already downloaded) and get it to work with firefox? This would also help with installing other packages, such as Sega Genesis emulators.
I ran it using the root console.
[root@myhost nspluginwrapper]# makepkg

I just did a fresh install of Fedora 15, copied the backup folder of Firefox into the home directory, installed flash using the latest yum package from Adobe, ran all of the extra scripts to install the wrapper for 32 bit apps being used on a 64 bit OS. Upon attempting to open a flash video, Firefox tells me Flash is not installed. Running the Adobe installer (yum package) from the Adobe website reports unable to install package, latest package is already installed.
I followed the trouble shooting steps from your check plugins website and deleted pluginreg.dat (twice) restarting Firefox each time. No change, Flash Player is still disabled by Firefox.Start here.

Flash Player Debugger 11.5 wont install for Flash Builder 4.6
I've tried installing the Flash Player Debugger 11.5 but I can't find where it's installing and Flash Builder 4.6 will only use Flash Player Debugger 11.2 whenever I test. And after installing FB 4.7, images in my swf are missing when testing in FB 4.7 and FB 4.6. Everything worked fine right up to installing FB 4.7 and AIR 3.6.
Any help?Thanks for your answer...

Flashplayer 11 installed and enabled but not working
using IE 11 with Windows 7. previous version(s) have worked in the past. However IE version 11 was recently installed and flash player issue started at that time. Maybe related??? Adobe site says installation successful. Went through all related troubleshooting tips and no issues were found.
IE11 has wrought havoc since it was released.
Facebook, Yahoo, YouTube, Pogo... all have reported numerous problems.
Microsoft has recommended enabling Compatibility view for affected sites: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11 but that has met with about 50% success. -

Shockwave and Flash Player installed works fine but it says damaged in the dependency tab.
I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. When I go to
downloaded programs in windows where your active x programs are.
The icons on the leftt of shockwave player are white. I right click
on the shockwave player and click on properties and in the
dependency tab has nothing in the file name. Over to the right size
bites says damaged. On the download programs itself where the
shockwave player is the status says installed and the bite size
says 4 KB it did not it did not say damage only in the dependency
tab. My shockwave programs and games work fine. On the dependency
it has this message,This page lists the 1 file (s) amd 0 java
packages upon which shockwave active x controls depends on. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling about 5 times and the samething came
up. If it has to run on the main package java the samething is
there too. There too it is installed and the bites are okay the
only place it says damage is in the dependency tab. I unstalled
that and reinstalled it the same number of times and the samething
appeared. Flash player the same way. How do I fix this problem? In
dowloaded programs I also have another shockwave active x control
with the same version and 2 java of the same version. Also after I
uninstall shockwave player I go to manage add ons and delete the
one that is still there and in the downloaded programs it has
unknown with a bunch of letters. There is no way to delete that
when you right click it you only see properties.Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.

Trying to open adobe flash player so my daughter can play educational games. Think it's downloaded ok, but it won't open due to 'conflicting instances'. I don't even know what that means!
This is the full procedure for installing Adobe Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
* On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />
See this: <br />

How to install and use Flash Player with Windows 7 64-bit edition and Internet Explorer 8.
1. Click the Start button.
2. Search for Internet Explorer.
3. Do not click on "Internet Explorer (64-bit)" or "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
4. Click on "Internet Explorer."
5. That will open Internet Explorer 8, 32-bit edition.
6. Now you can download, install, and use Flash Player. (It is used automatically on websites that support it.)
7. In the future, make sure you don't use Internet Explorer 64-bit edition. Delete any Internet Explorer shortcut icons that you were formally using. Make sure that any Internet Explorer icons that you now use, are opening the 32-bit edition. To see what edition you are using, click the question mark near the upper-right corner of a webpage and click "About Internet Explorer." If you don't see "64-bit" on the popup, that means you are using the 32-bit edition. If you can not see the moving sphere: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
Check the following:
Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer 9
ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer 9
Also check this:
In I.E.9, click Tools, click Internet options, click Security tab, ensure that the Internet security level is Medium-high. -
Flash installed and up to date however flash does not run on any web browser
I was catching up on watching a televsion show and watching it with no issues/no problems with flash before. I went to the website below and all of a sudden flash is not working. I did not change any settings, run any updates. I checked various browsers, flash content is not working on any of them. I can view youtube videos however just about any other site I've tried, nothing and many websites will not display correctly. I tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions in the forum however some of them I'm unable to do such as alter the flash settings, it takes me to the page but tells me I don't have Flash installed. I've tried switching user accounts on my pc as others have said flash works for them on the other account however mine is still broken. I've actually tried a system restore, still no luck.
Windows 8 (64 bit)
Flash Version 11.9.900.152
Tried web browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome - I've verified it is enabled
Active X is disabled
I've ran the 'test' to verify Flash is installed and it displays the video
I ran the debugger however I do not know how to interpret the data.
PLEASE HELP!!

Ever since i installed firefox 5 beta and the new version of flash, flash crashes on every page with flash on it no matter what version of firefox i run, and flash wont let me roll back to another version. I need flash for my work which is due by the end of the day so any help yall can offer is appreciated.
well i fixed this for a bit by reinstalling ff4 and restarting but now the firefox 4 that i re-downloaded continues to very aggressively update itself to 5 beta without asking me. it just notifies me once its done it telling me to restart and once i close firefox, boom. flash crashes every minute or so and freezes my computer. I love firefox. i have used it for years. but if no one can help with this problem or at least tell me how to stop firefox 4 from updating to firefox beta 5 im gonna go download something else because im losing money fighting with firefox to get my work done which is now taking 10 times longer to complete. i really want to keep using firefox but this is kinda ridiculous guys... I understand that betas have bugs but dont make me use it without asking me first...

Mac OSX 10.5.8 system. Problems have been ongoing with the Firefox I had installed a while ago: would open browser in Safari, and FF would take over; keep asking me to personalize my browser program. In truth, Firefox was kind of "taking over", and I wasn't happy with it. Usually open the internet in Safari.
Present problems started with trying to download, install and open a few new games. Kept telling me I needed to install Adobe Flashplayer. I could download it, but it wouldn't install. Downloaded both the Flashplayer installer AND the Flashplayer uninstaller a number of times. Today, I decided to get rid of the Firefox on my hard drive and download a newer version - then try again to download Flashplayer and install. The new FF download just kept opening a new browser page. What is your current Flash Player version: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html ?

I have my first ipad. It is the mini version. I'm trying to go to certain sites on the internet that tell me I need to update or install Adobe Flash Player. When I try to down load Adobe Flash Player I get a message saying "this device does not support Adobe Flash Player". Can I not use Adobe Flash Player on my ipad like I do on my computers and my iphone???
You can't install flash player on your iPad, nor on your iPhone - it's not supported on iOS devices, and as Adobe have stopped development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites. Also some websites have their own apps in the App Store. -
I am running IE 11 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Service Pack 1. When I attempt to install Flash Player, it goes through all of the steps, tells me the player is installed, and welcomes me. I cannot open the player and it does not appear in the Start Menu, Task Manager, System Tray, or anywhere else. When I try to open a file, the site tells me Flash player is not installed. I have even downloaded it to a separate folder and ran the install with IE shut down completely. And Shockwave in ENABLED but in 32 bit .I have been trying to get this to work for about 3 weeks now. HELP!!!
Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually. -
Constantly see the following error message from Adobe Flash Player Installer:
Error has been encountered. Close this window and try downloading again.
What in heck does that error message mean?
This message occurs most of the time when I try to update to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
It would be one thing if it was only occurring on Windows XP, but it shows up on Windows 7, Windows 8.0, and Windows 8.1 frequently.
Just for curiousity looked at the Windows 8.1 Event Viewer and NO error message shows up there.
Would be nice to:
(1) know what the error really is so that it can be reported to you to get it fixed once and for all.
(2) have Adobe Flash Installer NOT to delete itself every time that the installer is run.
(3) have an OFFLINE download installer to download and install Adobe Flash Player without the MacAfee installer.
(4) have Adobe UNCHECK that the Install MacAfee installer that you have to opt out of each time you do an Adobe Flash Player download. You should make it to OPT IN not OPT OUT! Don't need another program installed without my permission. This causes issues when I have to uninstall MacAfee on computers that others in my family use.
It seems to takes up to 20 times to download the Adobe installer over a period of many days or weeks to get it to install properly.
I have written software for over 36 years as a computer programmer and now Senior Software Developer. I have do installers on my own and have to figure out how to solve my own issues on the installers to get them fixed.
This issue doesn't seem to be tied to any particular version of Windows... Same issue occurs on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.0, and Windows 8.1! The ONLY commonality seems to be Adobe Flash Player.
Certainly Adobe should be smart enough to fix this issue once and for all.
If the issue is that there is a network congestion error that it cannot download the installer, please say so and please please please DO NOT delete the downloaded installer every time that it is run on a PC.
I'd like to fix the security issues with the Adobe Flash Player AS SOON as there is a patch for it. I don't like having security issues over a long period of time.
Please address this issue so that I can put this to bed and not have to keep sending you messages that once again the Adobe Flash Player Installer is yet again broken!
Certainly you have a staff at Adobe that CAN fix this problem quickly!more information about errors can be found in the FlashInstall.log file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash (and the SysWOW64 equivalent on 64-bit systems)
the offline installers (below) do not delete themselves
you can find the offline installers
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
the offline installers are not bundled with any 3rd-party crapware -
"Install Adobe Flash Player" is damaged and can't be opened
The subject line of this discussion is what is displayed when I go to try to install Adobe Flash. I have a Mac OS X 10.9.3. I had Flash downloaded for a while, but the last update wouldn't update. It would download, but then when I went to open it it would say "Retrieving Install" and the meter would remain at 0%. It never went a step beyond that. After trying many times, per the instructions of the website, I deleted Flash from my computer using the Adobe uninstaller downloaded from this site. Now that I am trying to reinstall Flash I keep getting the message "'Install Adobe Flash Player' is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image". What should I do from here? I would appreciate any help!
You should make sure you do a complete uninstall of the flash player first and then install the latest FP14 version from this link - Use http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm g
In order to do a complete uninstall - Uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS
