I get this message when i click on software updates....checking for updates then this pops up ....The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100.) What is the cause of this?

There are many people suffering from this problem right now (including me). It appears to be a server issue. Just wait and try checking for updates again tomorrow.
Some things I have heard indicate that this may be a regional problem, though what parts of the world are affected I don't know yet. A few people have been helped by deleting the following preference file (paste the path into the Go -> Go to Folder window in the Finder to locate it), though most have not:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Note that if you are trying to download iTunes 10.7, that can be found here:

Also, note that there is no reason to be anxious to get it, as the only thing added in iTunes 10.7 is compatibility with iOS 6, which will not be available until the 19th, and the new iPhone, which will not be available until later as well. The new iTunes that was announced is iTunes 11, which is also not yet available. -

It happened today as I tried to use the Mac App Store to check for updates. I haven't found such a code on the internet, so I was wondering what it might be. It worked last time I checked (a week or so ago).

Started getting this error today (01/14/2014) when trying to download updates from the App Store for my MBAir 11" mid 2013. Error: NSURLErrorDomain error -1100

When trying to use software update, get error NSURLErrorDomain error -1100
I don't know if this is a result of anything I did. It started happening after I installed the latest version of Garageband. When I went into that app, and selected one of the instruments, it directed me to use software update to get all the data for the instruments. That's when I first got the message box. Later, I uninstalled Garageband, and still the update problem continues. Obviously, when this problem first occurs, it will have been after installing *some* app, so I have no way of knowing whether Garageband is involved. I don't think I can update any of my applications until this problem is fixed.

SUS Updates all error with NSURLErrorDomain error -1100
Hi
My 10.8.1 server ran out of space for updates so I switched the storage to a different volume. Then the NSURLErrorDomain error -1100 errors starated appearing. Thinking it was a problem with my server I reinstalled it and upgraded to 10.8.2. I also wiped the storage drive. So its a clean install. But I'm still getting these errors. No downloads have completed in 3 days.
Its the same hardware, the same ip, the same switch, that were all working before the server ran out of disk space.
Any suggestions on what to try now greatfully accepted.

Tee ArthitMe too. Last night I was getting it, also. I was thinking last night it was because their servers were overloaded with people trying to get the new version of iTunes, but it's still doing it today. Must be a bigger problem.

Photoshop CC: When I'm trying to draw a rectangle I can't fill it or create a stoke because there is a message telling me; "Could not complete your request because of a program error. What can I do?
It is a mute point now. PSE12 finally failed to the point it locked up the MAC. I had to restore the MAC OS from backup to a point before the PSE12 update.
The MAC now operates correctly and so does PSE12. I don't think I'll be updating PSE any time soon. -
I just got an apple at&t iphone 4 and I have it unlocked. But I want to connect it to t-mobile, so I trimmed my sim card and once the phone was unlocked I inserted the sim and it says no sim, activation error. What can I do to fix this? What is wrong?

A few days ago, I read that maybe, Air Tunes drop outs were caused by router. So I went to try new solutions to my problem that exists since iTunes 9.0. I tried to set new settings on my Belkin wireless G router. As suggested, I made a backup of my s
