Oct 24 11:56:31 GMT: ntpd[2591]: ntp:time reset +0.442609 s
Did find the time is same on the ntp server and the switch, however found the timezone to be different ( On the server it is HKT & on the switch it is GMT). Is it possible that the cause of the errors is due the Time Zone?
NTP server was configured almost 2 months ago, however the errors have appeared suddenly
Please advise
Thanks

Hello Chetan,
Please check if these messages are shown in the show logging log:
ntpd[30009]: ntp:time reset +3.141701 s
ntpd[30009]: ntp:time reset +3.196390 s
ntpd[30009]: ntp:kernel time sync enabled 0001
ntpd[30009]: ntp:time reset +3.193518 s
ntpd[30009]: ntp:time reset +3.161593 s
ntpd[30009]: ntp:time reset +3.269245 s
This means that you've hit bug CSCsv11236. The freq of sysclk is 1333.330000 MHz which should be 1328.1275MHz. I'll save you the math but this works out to about 3.15 seconds per 15 minutes + ntp overhead.
The solution is simple: Check you're running
BIOS: version 1.0.19
kickstart: version 5.0(4)
system: version 5.0(4)
and powercycle the entire system. This should reset the clock speed of the CPU to the correct one. It might take a few days for NTP to stabilize again.

Kris

Hi Team,
We are using almost 10 Nexus 5k in our DC currently we are getting same error logs in all Nexus 5k.
" ntpd[4746]: ntp:time reset +0.279670 s "
Is it major error or just for reset time?........
Please check and let me know if you need any other logs from our switches.
Thanks....
Regards,
SenthilHi Senthilkumar
it is just an informational message stating that the NTP timer has been reset which would have been originated from the NTP server and communicated to all the devices connecting to this server
It's an informational message.

Getting Error of Runtime Exceeded while generating OTF for PDF in smartform.
Hi All,
I am getting a error of runtime exceeded while generating OTF file for PDF in smartform through FM. The report is taking too much time before giving the output...and most of the time going to dump saying report has exceeded the runtime. All is working well till the Smartform FM reached. I debugged this FM and found that the TABLES parameter is having problem, may be there are too many tables in that parameter. Please help. Below is the code-

Yes as Eltan says you need to consider there are two blocks of abap program:
- the first one is the driver program (but it seems there's no problem here because it called the smartform quickly)
- the second one is inside the smartform (It's possible to write abap routine in the smartform), and it seems the problem could be here
The variable c_form_name has the name of the smartform, you can manage it by transaction SMARTFORMS
but now it's not possible to say you why the print takes too long time, you need to do a trace

Runtime error(Time limit exceeds)after executing select query
Dear experts, whenever i executing the select query in this zprogram i am getting runtime error that time limit exceeds.i am using inner join and into table.after that also i am geetting error. how can i resolve it??

When I am debugging the select query.the cursor will not go to next step.after 15-20 minutes i am getting runtime error(time limit exceeds).
how can i resolve it for that scenario??Looks like whole SD flow you trying to fetch in single query
First you check the database statistic of these table are upto date in system ( Check with basis team )
if this query was working fine earlier.
Most of table involved are huge volume tables which queried with any primary key
Any secondary index on created for LIKP on VSTEL WADET ?
My suggestion would be split the selection queries and make use of primary or existing secondary index to fetch the desired result if possible. For testing purpose split the queries and find which is taking more time and which needs index by taking squel trace in ST05.
Also take ST05 trace of this query in debugger ( New debugger -> special tool -> trace > ST05/SE30) -
Error 512 when calling PEOpenPrintJob
Post Author: gnilsen
CA Forum: Crystal Reports
Hello,
I'm using a product called Dexterity which is for the Microsoft Dynamics platform. We use crpe32.dll to run our crystal reports from our application. First of all, when Crystal 10 was installed we used crpe32.dll with a date of 06/13/2004 and my reports print just fine. When I upgrade to Crystal XI, initial install, I get a crpe32.dll with a date of 12/07/2004 and my reports don't print. I get the error 512 when calling PEOpenPrintJob. So I figured I would move up to SP4 for Crystal XI and which provided crpe32.dll 05/27/2007 1:12 AM. I tried to run the reports with that .dll and I run into the same error. From my research I see that error 512 is PE_ERR_ENGINENOTOPEN or Print Engine Not Opened.
Here is where my report is located and this is what I pass into PEOpenPrintJob: "C:\MBS\GP10\WennSoft\Crystal Reports\Service WIP Summary.rpt"
I have tried a few different approaches trying to get this to work and here is some of my troubleshooting ending up with no luck. I took my Crystal 10 report and saved it as a Crystal XI report and that didn't work. I tried to use the old crpe32.dll from Crystal 10 and the program is smart enough to grab the latest crpe32.dll from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin folder. The report does have sub reports in it, but my code starts with trying to get the main report Print Job first and it doesn't even get to the code for the sub reports. (I don't know if that helps but I trying to give as much info as possible.)
1) Is there anything I need to do different in Crystal XI?
2) Do I need to call something before PEOpenPrintJob?
Thanks in advance.Hi Nayani
Please go to the technical WF log, select the mail step in error and check the container element ADDRESSSTRING - it should have valid values. If there is no value or at least one line, that is the cause of your error.....this means you will have to correct the method/process/code/ where you are fetching the email addresses.

APO jobs cancelled due to error- Time limit Exceed.
Dear All,
Three jobs are scheduled daily to transfer data from R/3 to APO,
These are cancelled due to error -"Time limit exceed".Hi Pankaj,
There is a specific time allocated for each queue to clear and to get transferred across the system. the probable reasons are.
1. The queue itself is taking more than the allocated time to clear due to system load. Each queue requires specific free memory from server , in case of overload system is unable to allocate desired memory hence the error might appear.
2. If in a queue the very first entry is stuck due to x,y,z reason the queues following automatically go into "timeout" and then "system fail"
Proposed solution.
1. Analyze the first entry functionally. If Ok then ask the basis team to clear that particular entry.
2. after time out the queue will go to "SYSFAIL". Double clicking on this will reveal the reason. Based on the technical reason I can suggest the relevant OSS notes to be applied.
For detailed technical analysis check t-code CFG1.

Ankur

Advanced Queues with Form6i - Error 512
I try to manage AQ via Forms, but its doesn't work.
If I try to compile the following code sample, I'll allways get a error message 512.
This means...
"error 512. Implementation Restriction: 'REMOVE':Cannot directly access remote package variable or cursor"
The Code in Forms6i.
PROCEDURE dequeuing IS
dequeue_options dbms_aq.dequeue_options_t; =======>ERROR 512
message_properties dbms_aq.message_properties_t;
agent sys.aq$_agent;
Begin
END;
How can I access the dbms_aq vars????
Thank you for your help. You will probably have to wrap the code in a server side program unit and then call that from Forms.
Some things like package variables arte not available to remote PL/SQL such as the PL/SQL in Forms so this I think is the cause of your issue, -

Error: Debug Component exceeds maximum size (65535 bytes)
Hi All,
It would seem that I have come across a limitation in the CAP file format for Java Card 2.2.1. When I run the Sun 2.2.1 converter I get the following output:
Converting oncard package
Java Card 2.2.1 Class File Converter, Version 1.3
Copyright 2003 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. Use is subject to license terms.
error: Debug Component exceeds maximum size (65535 bytes).
Cap file generation failed.
conversion completed with 1 errors and 0 warnings. This also happens with JCDK 2.2.2. Is there any way around this limitation? I can instruct the compiler to not generate some of the debug output such as variable attributes, but this makes the debugger less than useful. I could not find anything in the JCVM spec for JC2.2.1 that mentions this limitation (I could have missed it very easily if it is there). Is this a limitation that will be lifted in new versions of the standard? This is tarting to be a bit of a problem as our code base has outgrown our development tools (no more debugger). Compiling and running without debug information works fine.
Any information on this would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
ShaneFor those that are interested, I found this in the Java Card VM spec. u1 and u2 are 1 and 2 byte unsigned values respectively. It would appear that it is a limitation of the CAP file format. We have managed to work around this problem (parsing the debug component of the cap file was very informative) by shortening package names, reducing exception handling, and removing classes that we could do without.
It looks like this is removed for JC3.0 Connected Edition does not have this issue as it does not have CAP files, but JC2.2.2 and JC3.0 Classic Edition have this same issue. It would be nice if there was a converter/debugger combination that removed this limitation. If anyone knows of such a combination, I am all ears! I know for a fact that JCOP does not :(
Cheers,
Shane
*6.14 Debug Component*
This section specifies the format for the Debug Component. The Debug Component contains all the metadata necessary for debugging a package on a suitably instrumented Java Card virtual machine. It is not required for executing Java Card programs in a non-debug environment.
The Debug Component references the Class Component (Section 6.8 "Class Component), Method Component (Section 6.9 "Method Component), and Static Field Component (Section 6.10 "Static Field Component). No components reference the Debug Component.
The Debug Component is represented by the following structure:
{code}
debug_component {
u1 tag
u2 size
u2 string_count
utf8_info strings_table[string_count]
u2 package_name_index
u2 class_count
class_debug_info classes[class_count]
{code}
The items in the debug_component structure are defined as follows:
*tag* tag item has the value COMPONENT_Debug (12).
*size* The number of bytes in the component, excluding the tag and size items. The value of size must be greater than zero. -
During invoice verification- error "Invoice Quantity exceeds GR quantity".
Dear friends,
Myclientisfacing a problem during invoice verification(invoice quantity exceeds GR quantity).
user created PO withtwo line items. in first line item he used account assignment K (cost center) for cable purchase. and inthe second line item he used account assignment category -K and item category -D for cableinstallation charges. foe firat line item he created GR(migo) and for the secondlineitem being service he did service entry sheet(ML81N). while doing invoice verification they got the error "Invoice Quantity exceeds GR quantity". so we tried to post the first lineitemand it was successfully posted.while doing invoice verification for second line item it is throwing "Invoice Quantity exceeds GR quantity".
please help me in this to solve the issue.
Thanksin advance.
Regards,
williamHi,
Please check that if your second line item which happened to be service line item as you have mentioned have the service base invoice verification checked in the invoice tab of second line item (line item detail level). If so the you need to post your service entry sheet after releasing it. System will generate a 101 movement material document in the back ground.
Hope it helps.

Spectrum Frequency Error with PXIe-5641R and PXI-5600
Hello,
following situation: I am using the PXIe-5641R (in FPGA-mode) in combination with the PXI-5600 downconverter to get a spectrum.
After trying out with different span widths I've experienced strange frequency errors in the range span <10M.
To negotiate errors in my program I've evaluated also the NI example of http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6196 - unfortunately same error in frequency happens there.
What is meant with frequency error, for example: I have a transceiver which sends FSK with center frequency 443,92MHz. Readings with span-width = 12,5M shows overall good results.
Reading with span width smaller 10M, eg. 3,125MHz, gives unexpected readings.
With a center frequency of 433MHz and a span of 3,125MHz the transmission is out of range of spectrum. When I add an offset of 2M to the calculated IF-frequency, I get right results.
With a center frequency of 434M I've got readings at 434,92MHz, means at 1MHz too high (after adding an offset of 1M to IF freq readings are correct).
With center frequency 435MHz readings are correct. The limit between correct and wrong is exact at 434,5MHz (resulting IF = 14,5MHz) readings at that center frequency are good, just one step below (434,49MHz) readings are 1MHz too high.
Where is the error hidden? Like I said this behaviour happens also with the NI example.
Thanks for helping!

Message Edited by Lars.B on 05-20-2009 04:29 AMTo get closer to the problem: I've managed to get constant right results in editing the VI which calculates the IF-frequency for the IF-RIO after setting center frequency and span of PXI-5600.
But the new values make no sense at all. Documentation says that with spans higher 10MHz step size of center frequency is 1MHz, below it is 5MHz (with lower phase noise). After my modifications it seems that step size is 1MHz at all span widths higher 1MHz and 5MHz at span widths lower 1MHz.

The problem is, it takes quite a while for the JMS connection to get established. It fails as you see on max retries.
However it succeeds eventually.
However the B2B functionality doesnt start till the connection is established.
Any idea why this is happeninig...it takes arnd 5-8 minutes for our B2B to actually start polling/ working.
I did a tnsping to the database and it works correctly.
Plz help its urgent.
Thanks,
RoshHi Rosh,
To which JMS you are connecting (weblogic or something else)? This may happen only when the target JMS server is not reachable / there is JNDI look up issue.
Please provide details. Also refer -
Re: AIP-50077: Cannot Initialize Transport
If you are connecting to Weblogic JMS then make sure to follow below steps -
1. Add the weblogic.jar in the classpath by following the below instructions:
a. copy the weblogic.jar in $ORACLE_HOME/ip/lib/ folder
b. go to the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/ folder
c. update the opmn.xml (take the backup of opmn.xml)
c.1 add this line <variable id="CLASSPATH" value="$ORACLE_HOME/ip/lib/weblogic.jar" append="true" />
after <variable id="CLASSPATH" value="$ORACLE_HOME/ip/lib/maverick-all.jar" append="true" /> line
d. restart the B2B
2. make sure the below properties are set in IDC configuration
polling interval <polling Interval time>
Destination Provider Properties java.naming.factory.initial=weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory;java.naming.security.credentials=weblogic;java.naming.security.principal=weblogic;java.naming.provider.url=t3://<IP Address>:<Port>/
isTopic false
Connection Factory Location <Connection Factory Name>
Message Type bytes
Factory Provider Properties java.naming.factory.initial=weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory;java.naming.security.credentials=weblogic;java.naming.security.principal=weblogic;java.naming.provider.url=t3://<IP Address>:<port>/

Send Errors on Messages Exceeding Size Limit
Have at least 3 emails that got SEND Error for size exceeding 20480 kb. Mail server still retries Send every time while sending something new. If they are in some "OUTBOX" it isn't visible to Windows LiveMail or to the Webmail.
How can we delete the oversize messages???Not sure what you are asking.
The message is for ONE message and it should be indicated in the message. The messages being resent would be in your outbox, and it should be easy to see the approximate size.
