Nudging the control bar.

Besides:
1. adding extra space in the movie capturing,
2. Adding boarders in the skin ( I'm only publishing one swf,
so I can load it in a MC)
How would you move the control bar 4 pixels lower?
Can I do it from the Skin Templates area? Is there an Action
I can write on the FLA files?
Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp. This stuff is do in 2 weeks.

Oh, one other thing. You really want to avoid resizing if at
all possible. If you do have to resize, try only to do it once.
How? Easy. Click File > Save As and create a new version of your
project. Then resize and test. Don't like it? Scrap it. Open the
original again. File > Save As and begin again.

Can I apply more than one keyword to images from the Control Bar?

I swear this used to work. I select multiple images in a project. I apply a keyword to the selection by clicking a keyword button on the Control Bar. It gets applied to all the selected images. I click another keyword - it gets applied to only the first selected image.

Michael, thanks for that quick response! Yes, that was it. Of course I don't know why I would have selected that option. It would seem to make sense to put this option in the Preferences instead of Edit - it would make it less easy to change accidentally.

Lost the control bar

I have created a video with a control bar in Flash 8. When I run the .swf file by itself (in Flash player or IE) the control bar is there but when I add it to my web page the control bar is missing. Can anyone help please?

That is old-style embedding code which might not work for all browsers. So if you want to address that aspect then you should consider looking into making use of swfObject embedding which is available thru the following link...

Aside from that, since you are loading the swf from a different folder than where the html page is, that could be the source of your problem if you have not coded the swf to work in that file structure. When you embed an swf into an html page, the html page becomes the reference basis for any files that the swf tries to load. So if you have not done so, your swf needs to target any files it loads as if it is sitting in the same folder as the html page... it does not have to be in that folder, but it does have to act like it is since when it is loaded into that html page it is as good as living there anyways.

in the style generated ..you can change the fill to any of the types like solidColor, all gradients, in addition, you can add stroke element to this rect, thats all I know, if you know any other properties that can be added here, you can let me know.

HT4623 SOMEHOW the icon for rotation lock is missing from the control bar. I tried to reset but my passcode doesn't work. First, how do I find my passcode? Then, if I reset, will it return the rotation lock to the control bar?

I don't know how it happened why, but the icon for rotation lock is missing from the control bar. Second problem, the passcode for my iPad isn't working. I wrote it down, so not sure what the problem is. HELP

If the setting for the rotation lock is missing it is because you are using the side switch to control the rotation in Settings>General>Use Side Switch to>Lock Rotation. The software switch in the control center should be for Muting system sounds.
you have to restore the iPad in orde to unlock it now.
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong ...
If you are sure that you are entering the correct passcode, reboot the iPad and then try again and see if it is accepted.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

The Control Bar - what use is it?

Does anyone actually use the control Bar in Aprture 2? Now that it no longer has keyword buttons and ratings are much more easily applied using the keyboard, does it have a purpose any longer?

Shift-D will show the keyword buttons.
That said, I only ever use it when doing lots of keywords, whether in A1.5 or A2.

Can I stop the control bar coming up when I am scrolling. I seem to hit it a lot and would prefer to remove it.

I keep hitting it as well. I think you can turn control Center off.
I haven't tried because it is handy.

Cap. 5.0: returning to an earlier slide loses the control bar

My 10-slide course uses the control bar at the bottom. The last slide has a button that returns the user to slide #1. When one uses the button to return to slide #1, the control bar has disappeared from all of the slides. I'm baffled.

Check your project for any Advanced Actions that might be setting the variable for cpCmndShowPlaybar to 0.
These actions might be attached to that final button, or On Slide Enter somewhere.
What happens if you use the TOC to navigate back to the first slide instead of clicking the button? Does the playbar still disappear?
What happens if you remove the current Playbar, and set to a different playbar? Does it still disappear?

Can't see the control bar

Hello everyone.
I got this strange problem with my quicktime since 3 days ago.
every time I view a quicktime movie online in my browser the whole movie control bar turned into black.
it still functions , I just can't see it.
Any idea.

Nope, no solution or comment other than "Apple doesn't support 64bit Windows".
It was working for me a long time ago, but it broke with an updated version of QT, somewhere around 7.0.X
And unless you specifically pick IE 64bit, you're probably running 32bit QT Plugin inside a 32bit web browser anyways. There shouldn't be a problem other than Apple broke something and doesn't care to fix it.

Try this. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

The date on my control bar doesn't update

Since upgrading to Mtn Lion, the date and time on the control bar (upper right of the screen) is incorrect. It sets correctly when I reboot, but then some time later sets itself to some random (it seems) time and stops updating. When I go to Date and Time preferences, everything is correct.
Running on a mid-2007 iMac.
Any suggestions?

Did you check your Date & Time Preferences:
>System Pref>Date & Time
You might uncheck and recheck, and see if this makes the difference.
You might want to look at Security and Privacy settings>Privacy>Location Services
unlock the padlock to make change. Firewall>Firewall Options>Stealth Mode needs to be off in order to use the "Set Automatically" function.
