  • How to change number format in web reports

    Hi, Experts,
Simple question, if I want to change the number format on web report as following
    . . . . . . . . Actual
    . . . . . . . . *1000SGD
      new order   .   341.5
      sales       .   567.45
if I click "Actual" then select properties, set data format from "in 1000" & "0" to "in 1" & "0.00", nothing changed in web report after refresh.
if i click one number (for example: 341.5) or "New order" to set data format from "in 1000" & "0" to "in 1" & "0.00", only this row's format is changed, others row still keep old format.
how to change whole column's data format at once setting?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Logout and login may help you and also Delete the session in SM04  before re login. Some times system will not do complete refresh of data even though you select refresh button.

  • How to globally modify number formatting in Crystal Reports

How do I globally modify the number formatting in Crystal Reports to NOT use the default which is “System Default Number Format”? The goal is to modify the number formatting to NOT contain commas. This modification should be global and should apply to any local account that will launch and use Crystal Reports on the server where it is installed. Can anyone help?

    Hi Raghavendra,
For new reports, we have tried the setting you specified.  The question is, how can we force Crystal Reports to “keep” and “retain” the adjusted format globally every time users create a new report?
    Thank you!

  • Incorrect number format appearing in report

This might sound like a really silly question, but I've not had much need to faff around with changing number formats.
We have a report which is taking a number column and outputting it directly, but when the number is something like 0.1234 it strips the 0 and outputs it as .1234.
I imagine that this is something to do with the nls-settings of the client producing the report, but I need to make sure it outputs the value as 0.1234
I've come up with the following, but I'm not sure that it's the simplest solution:
    SQL> select to_char(1235.234,'fm9999999990.9999999999') from dual;
    TO_CHAR(1235.234,'FM99
    1235.234
    SQL> select to_char(4.2333, 'fm9999999990.9999999999') from dual;
    TO_CHAR(4.2333,'FM9999
    4.2333
    SQL> select to_char(.3992, 'fm9999999990.9999999999') from dual;
    TO_CHAR(.3992,'FM99999
0.3992It seems to work, but seems a bit OTT to me - like I'm using a big JCB digger truck to dig a hole so I can plant a tulip bulb.
Are there any better solutions out there?

Actually, I've just kicked off the PL/SQL procedure that produces the report (as a text file, via utl_file) from my machine, and the output is the same - 0.1234 is output as .1234.
    Hmm, and:
    SQL> select 0.1234 from dual;
        0.1234
.1234Question is, is there a simpler/more elegant way of getting the missing 0 displayed than what I've already come up with? (I don't like it much because it assumes that there won't be more than the specified number of digits before and after the decimal point. It's unlikely that there would be, but even so...)

  • Date Format in Webi Reports - Error

    Hi ,
I am using a date dimension in my webI report, but the dimension value is not populating correctly, it shows some constant value for all fileds. I checked the format of the dimension in the universe. It is in perfect format as date.can anyone guide me on this.
    Thanks
    Praveen

    Hi,
    [0CALDAY].[LEVEL01]
Will normally be defined as a Date type object, so it is treated by WebI as a date.
When you use the object in a webI report, it will get the default date format based on the locale settings of the user.
If you are getting a german date format (dd.MM.yyyy is German), that must be your preferences.
Two ways to go about this:
    1) change your preferences.
    2) fix the date format of the cell by using the FormatNumber dialogue.
Go to the date/time part and select Custom.
Now you can type the format you want, i.e. MM/dd/yyyy
    Hope this helps,
    Marianne

  • Excel Formatting in WEBI Report

Can we able to save the webi report to default excel format.
default excel format :- each columns should move to each cell same for rows too. But currently it is placing in proper cells but the blank part is showing in white background without any format.
    pls help..

    Hi,
Save as excel saves the document to an excel file keeping as much of the formatting as possible.
The free format of webI is in conflict with the way excel is set up in cells.
So if i have one cell that is about 2,5 times the lenght of my table block, the third column will be split to accommodate both the cell ending and the column ending.
Same is true with whitespace, there will be additional rows/columns to give the same amount of whitespace in the excel file.
If you want the table to convert to a simple excel table, you should treat the webi report as such.
No fancy comment cells, just one table block that will translate to excel.
Position the table block upper left (0px from top, 0 px from left) to get rid of the white space left and top,
as this will trigger a white column and row.
    Good luck,
    Marianne

  • Conditional formatting in Webi report

    Hi,
I have a  requirement wherein I need to conditionally format column to make the coulmn value "red colored"  as per a certain condition and also need to display a small image next to the column value. Does anybody have an idea to achieve this?
    Thank you,
    boe user1

    Hi,
You can use Alerters for the conditional formatting.
Click on the Alerter icon from the tool bar.
New-> define condition -> click ok for default formatting else click on format.
You can define any formatting to the column values you want e.g you can change the font color or you can change the back-ground too.
To display a image you can add one more column and insert it as a background image. If this is also conditional then again insert it using alerter or you can write if else formula with image url.

  • Solved: Pick Number format mask

    Hello,
I'm trying to format all my numbers to a specific model:
    999G999G999G999G990D00
I tried doing it like I did with 'PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK', where I define my format under
    "Application Attributes>Definition". I called it PICK_NUMBER_FORMAT_MASK'.
It didn't work and i got the next error above my report:
    report error:
    ORA-01481: invalid number format model
I also tried to define an application item with the value: 999G999G999G999G990D00
but then I get the same error. If I paste my number format in my report column under Number / Date Format then it works perfect. But I can't change the global format of my numbers now.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Oli

    <p>Oli,</p>
<p>As you already discovered there is no PICK_NUMBER_FORMAT_MASK substitution variable like there is for date pickers. Perhaps this a nice enhancement request. However, there are some workarounds:
    <ul><li>
<p>For reports, you can use your PICK_NUMBER_FORMAT_MASK if you convert the NUMBER columns into VARCHAR2 columns like this:<BR>
    <p>to_char(number_column,'& PICK_NUMBER_FORMAT_MASK.')</p></li>
<li><p>Use ApexLib and extend the firefox plugin with your own numeric settings.</p></li>
<li><p>You can use the user interface defaults (table defaults, column defaults) in the shared components section of your application.</p></li>
    </ul>
    <p>With kind regards,</p>

  • Reschedule multiple missed webi reports

We have a large number of scheduled webi reports that did not run for whatever reason. Is there a way to find all the pending scheduled reports and reschedule them? Or do we have to recreate the schedules for each report?

What version of BOE/CRS is this?
In any case, the Instance Manager, available in the Administration Launchpad on XI R1/R2 and within the CMC on XI 3.0+/CRS 2008 should give you what you need.

  • Web reporting - colum header

    Hi All,
I am formating a Web report.
9 colums are there. I want to put some parent colum for the 5, 6 and 7 column
and another parent colum for the 8 and 9.
    e,g
A|B|C|D|E|F|G|H|I ---> all 9 column displaying in the web report
    I want to display....like this
    | xxx | yy|
    A|B|C|D|E|F|G|H|I
    is it possible.
It is basically I am adding extra row before the table - data display
    Thanks
    Manjushri

Yes, you can add HTML code using the table API class CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE. You make a new class using CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE as the superclass.  If your not familiar with this concept don't worry.  It's a lot simpler than it sounds...

  • Number formatting issue in Web intelligence report

    Folks ,
I've an object called ' Serial number' (12 digits long) but when I set this in query filter as a prompt number format gets changed.
    Similar like this:
whereas I am expecting to see 123456789123 something like this.
I made sure that object data type is number while designing universe as well as also format the object ( using format object option) and set as ############. ( 12times #) to forced as 12 digits number.
When I drag this object in 'result objects' results shows fine but if i add this as 'Query Filters' number gets changed as above pic.
    Any advise ?
    Cheers,
    iTanzir

    Hai Itanzir
Try to create a dimension variable in universe and choose the data type as string. Please check this and let me know for issues, if any.

  • How to change the format of a cell in a web report

    Hello experts,
Is it possible to implement this in a Web Report/BEx query?
We have a list of products grouped into Company A and Company B. One key figure is for example Net Cost Price.
We need to highlight the lowest net cost price in every company but with a different colour depending on the company assuming prices are sorted in ascending order.
We have been recommended to use Web Design Api for Tables but we understand that in order to format a cell content we need to know the axis position of the cell but we don't know how many rows the query will display for every company. Is this kind of requirements only possible with "static" reports where we know exactly the number of rows and columns that are going to be displayed?
    This is an example.
    COMPANY      PRODUCTS    NET COST PRICE
    Company A    Product 1    <b>5€</b>
                 Product 2    10€
    Company B    Product 1    <b>10€</b>
                 Product 2    20€
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Inma

    Hi Inma,
If you have already not solved your problem , you can try the following solution with table interface class.
Table interface class generates HTML table row by row so it first process the charecterstics and then KFs .
You define a  attribute(type public) in class and set that attribute to X (In CHARECTERSTIC menthod)when ever the company code changes.
Then make use of that flag in DATA method to change the format of cell (Assuming you sorted by Ascending).
    hope this helps.

  • WEBI report on a Universe - Time Format

    Hi,
I have a WEBI report built on a universe that uses a BW query as a datasource.
In my BW report I have two time key figures of type DEC.
Actual Time and Scheduled Time in format HH:MM:SS or -HH:MM:SS if it is a negative value. It works well in Bex and RSRT.
There is a Universe report built on top of this report and my WEBI report is built on the universe.
When I run the WEBI report the time key figures display in the format 10,000 in BO instead of 01:00:00 (HH:MM:SS) as it is in Bex. It is obviously doing some type of internal conversion and outputting the wrong result.
Is there a way to convert the field in BO so that it outputs the same as Bw format?
I have tried changing the universe format properties of the field from Number to Character and back again but it does not give me any different result and in some cases it displays as #DataType.
    Any suggestions welcome.
    BO Version 3.1
    BW Version 7.01
    Regards,
    John

If you select "Date/Time" in the format then select the time field, does this work for you?
It should be HH:mm:ss  (capitalization matters).
I don't have a BW sample currently available to test so this screenshot is from an Oracle data source.
Also, are you able to set the object to a Date type?

I tried custom display format at universe level as well (#,##,##,###.##) , but it is also not working.
By default it is showing US format as 12,407,364.22.
Please let me know do we have any work around for the same.

    Hello Tanb,
    Thanks for your help.
Now in other places also Tamil is Displaying. For example we have a object Fiscal Month which holds values Jan-2014,Jul-2014 etc... In this case also Jan and Jul are displaying in Tamil.
Instead of Tamil ( India) can we use English ( India) to resolve this issue ?
I am using " use the document Locale to format the data" . Is this option correct?
