Hello,
i have a problem with variables that have "#'.
I'm using conditional branch to start the report:
Set these items: "P4_FILETYPE,P4_FILEID,P4_TXNUM,P4_ST"
With these values: "TRNS,0,&P22_TXID1.%,"
When i enter value 333#444 in the item P22_TXID1 and press submit to see the report - i see in debug window that the variable P4_TXNUM value is 333 instead of 333#444%.
Do you have any ideas?

I think passing the values between slashes (\<value>\) may solve your problem.
e.g \333#444\ instead of 333#444

It depends on your keyboard layout.
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Keyboard ▹ Keyboard ▹ Show Keyboard & Character Viewers in menu bar
Now select
Show Keyboard Viewer
from the menu with a keyboard icon in the menu bar, towards the right. By pressing modifier keys, you can see what characters correspond to any key combination. You can also produce a character by clicking it in the viewer.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

And is there a length limitation of Expanded Call Variables.

1. To use ECC variables in ICM script editor:
   Maximum number of characters (length) allowed for each ECC variable is
210 (the size of the variable string).
   And maximum amount of space that all the ECC variables together can take
up in the ICM system is 2000 Bytes.
   Formula used to calculate buffer size for scalar variable and array
element is as:
          The maximum buffer size for each scalar variable = 5 + the
maximum length of the variable where the 5 bytes includes 4 bytes to tag the
variable and 1 byte for the null terminator.
           The maximum buffer size for each array = 5 + (1 + the maximum
length of array element)* (the maximum number of elements in the array).
2. ECC variables for use by CTI Server:
   Formula used to calculate buffer size for scalar variable and array
element is as:
       The maximum buffer size for each scalar variable = 4 + length of the
ECC name + the maximum length of the variable where the 4 bytes includes a 1
byte tag, 1 byte to define the length, and2 terminating NULL characters.
       The maximum buffer size for each array = (5 + length of the ECC name
+ the maximum lengthof array element) * (the maximum number of elements in
the array) where the 5 bytes includes a 1 byte tag, 1 byte to define the
length, 1 byte for the array index, and 2 terminating NULL characters.
In this case max buffer size is 2500 bytes. This calculation is applicable
when setting ECC variable through third party client eg. CTIOS desktop.
As you can see for CTI server formula contains length of ECC name, which is
there to account for extra 500 bytes. Actual max size for ECC variable value
is only 2000 Bytes.
In case of variables being set using CTI server and buffer size exceeds 2500
bytes, But variables value size remains less than 2000 bytes. Then user is
allowed to set the variables with a warning. But if Variable value size
exceeds 2000 then user would be getting error.

Derive Number of months from variable entry

I have a requirement to calculate the average sales qty using the number of months entered in the variable entry and not the actual number of months the product was sold. For example Variable cal month entered as the range 01/2009 - 03/2009. The average needs to be calculated with the 3 month range even if sales only occurred in months 01 and 02. I understand I need to create a formula variable type customer exit, but I need assistance in creating the formula that would count the number of months from the variable entry.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can replace the variable and use if the code has been declared in such a way. Use i_t_var_range instead of It_var_range. This is a table which should been defined in your existing code.

Communicate large number of parameters and variables between Verstand and Labview Model

We have a dyno setup with a PXI-E chassis running Veristand 2014 and Inertia 2014. In order to enhance capabilities and timing of Veristand, I would like to use Labview models to perform tasks not possible by Veristand and Inertia. An example of this is to determine the maximum of a large number of thermocouples. Veristand has a compare funtion, but it compares only two values at a time. This makes for some lengthy and inflexible programming. Labview, on the other hand, has a function which aloows one to get the maximum of elements in an array in a single step. To use Labview I need to "send" the 50 or so thermocouples to the Labview model. In addition to the variables which need to be communicated between Veristand and Labview, I also need to present Labview with the threshold and confguration parameters. From the forums and user manuaIs understand that one has to use the connector pane in Labview and mapping in Veristand System Explorer to expose the inports and outports. The problem is that the Labview connector pane is limited to 27 I/O. How do I overcome that limitation?
BTW. I am fairly new to Labview and Versitand.

Thank you for the help. I created a simple test model and now understand how I can use clusters for a large number of variables. Regarding the mapping process: Can one map a folder of user channels to a cluster (one-step mapping)? Alternatively, I understand one can import a mapping (text) file in System Explorer. Is this import partial or does it replace all the mapping? The reason I am asking is that, if it is partial, then I can have separate mapping files for different configurations and my final mapping can be a combination of imported mapping files.

Thank you for the hint on using a Custom Device. I understand that the Custom Device will be much more powerful and can be more generic. The problem at this stage is that my limitations in programming in Labview is far gretater than Labview models' limitations in Veristand. I'll definitely consider the Custom Device route once I am more provicient with LabView. Hopefully I'll be able to re-use some of the VI's I created for the LabView models.

Number of entries in variable

Hi experts,
is there a limit in the number of entries of a variable in the selectionscreen of a query?
Or in other words: Is it possible to insert more than 15.000 values in a variable in the selectionscreen without getting an error when starting the query?

As per my knowledge, i don't think there is any limitation as such. but inserting these many records again would become a tedious task. In some cases, copy pasting doesn't work while inserting the values. But yes, u can import values from an external file.

I don't think it has any significance we can include $ in our declaration of a variable as how we include '_' ...Check out the below sample code
data: $l_w like t77aw-wegid.
$l_w = '12434'.
write : $l_w.

Getting dynamic number based on databank variable.

I have run into an interesting issue, and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
Here is a run down of the setup.
I have 3 drop downs Category, Sub-Category, and Sub-Sub-Category (nice huh).
The values of the drop down as stored by E-Tester are numeric, so I am running into a bit of a problem trying to databank this test. It is stored as <option value=18>MyCategory</option>
I need to be able to choose the drop-down based on my databanked variable of "categoryName", but I couldn't figure out a way to set that on the form.
The other option, which I was diving into was parsing out the number from the html but again I am running into a problem since this is running off a databank.
I tried to run it through either the custom variable option or custom VBA and am running into the same problem. I can't tell it that the ending part of the string is a variable.
Here is my DOM Property Expression working on the inner html
<OPTION value=(\d+)>MyCategory</OPTION>
It works great as long the category is MyCategory, but I can't figure out a way to set the last portion to use a variable. If I try anything less than <OPTION value=(\d+)>MyCategory it matches all of the options in the drop down including -1 which is to add a new one.
Does anyone have any ideas or am I attempting something beyond the limitations of VBA?

I think I may have a solution for you. Put this code on the page that you are trying to set the option of. Of course, the path to the select element will have to be replaced with the correct path.

Pound/Number sign in Column Name + Custom SQL

Has anyone gotten a custom sql partner link to work when a column name being referenced has a # sign in it?
For the sake of simplifying the example to make it clear:

Is there a way to edit the WSDL to tell it to look for say the $ sign for variable replacement as opposed to the # sign?

A workaround would be to create a view renaming the column field_#.

SharePoint Designer workflow - date display and number ;# signs.

I have created a SharePoint Designer workflow with customized email messages sent to specified people.
I've got tow questions:
1) In the email message there are lookups for date.The date is displayed in mm/dd/yyyy format and I would like to change it into dd/mm/yyyy. Is that possible?
2) In the email messages there are lookups for a value from a list. the values are displayed with a number ; and # signs. For example 1;#PortfolioA 2;#Portfolio2. How can I eliminate the number,; and # signs and have the portfolio displayed only as
'PortfolioA"?

For the Date&Time column, you can create an additional column using Calculated type, and set the formula is: =TEXT([Date],"dd/mm/yyyy"), then when you design the email body in workflow, you can use the calculated column instead of the
original date column.
For the Lookup column, when you add it into the email body, you can set it returns field as “Lookup Value(as Text)”, like the screenshot:

Change position of number sign in ALV (2-) into (-2). I will reward points.

Hello Gurus, i need to change the position of the sign in a ALV list from the back of the number in the front of the number.
eg. 2- i need it to be -2.
Is there some way to do this without having to create a new field that is character type. I know the function CLOI_PUT_SIGN_IN_FRONT but it works only if my field is type char.
