NWDS - Method panel doesn't show method

I have a method that was created the last time this DC was worked on.  I am revising the component and need to change the signature of a public method that SHOULD be listed on the method tab of the component.  It's not there....  The method shows and reload/rebuild doesn't remove the method so I know though I don't see it in the list it is "there".  Any ides on how to get this method to show again - I really need to change the signature.

I had done that multiple times but it hadn't helped.
I did trick it into coming back.  I created a method who was at the start of the alphabet (method's name was "A")  - then my missing method appeared and was 2nd in the list.  I then modifed the signature of this long lost method, Then I deleted method "A".
Just gotta love having to trick this "lovely" editor!

  • Apps panel doesn't show installed Creative Cloud apps

None of my apps are showing as installed in the creative cloud application
Adobe are aware this issue exists, but their solution doesn't work ---> Apps panel doesn't show installed Creative Cloud apps
Can't say I'm surprised, Anybody knows how to really solve this problem?

It seems that Adobe doesn't think it's important to check for previous apps installation, and expects the user to manually match the creative cloud language would be installed apps language
So if you see that there is no app installed in your creative cloud just check their language settings in Preferences > Apps > Apps language.

  • InDesign - newly installed panel doesn't show up under extensions

Installed Adobe Exchange panel for Indesign CS6, searched for SuperOverlay creator, installed it with no errors, restarted InDesign but the panel menu item doesn't show up under Window > Extensions. Am I doing this correctly? I've reinstalled the extension a number of times and restarted InDesign many times with no success.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Hey Jonathan—Yeah it's weird, but it's newer software so some bugs are understandable. No worries, happy to help resolve a more core problem if I can.
Yes, it has been showing up in My Stuff on the AE panel the whole time. I opened my Extension Manager and uninstalled the SuperOverlay Creator, went back to InDesign, installed the panel again, restarted InDesign, still no dice under Window > Extensions.
Throwing some screenshots up here for you, please let me know if you see anything wrong that I should be changing.

  • Custom vi panel doesn't show in panel

    Hello,
I inserted a custom vi that I created into another vi.  The problem is that the panel of the custom vi doesn't show on the new vi panel.  What do I need to do to get the custom vi panel to show in the new vi panel.
    Thanks,
    Steve

For some reason I can't open your VI. I'm getting a daq dll error. I'm
sure it's something on my end as I just got a new laptop and just
reinstaled everything and something probably didn't go right.
Subpanels are a feature that was added in 7.0 that let's you embed the
front panel of a subVI into the panel of its top level VI. The subVI
panel shows up in a container on the other front panel. This allows you
to switch between several panels, but have them constrained inside the
top level VI. Nice little feature, but since you're running 6.1, it's
    not available to you.
Recreating the subVI on the top level VI would be just duplicating all
the controls and indicators from the subVI to the panel of the top
level. Probably not what you should be doing.
It sounds like you found the "Open front panel when Called" option and that should do the trick for you want.

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.

  • Front panel doesn't show

    Hi,
I have a vi (1) that calls a subvi (2) when I press a button. This subvi (2) calls the vi (1) again when I press another button. I have a event structure for this button (button of the subvi (2) ) where I set to false FP Open property for the vi (1) and then I call by reference this vi (1) and I do an invoke node (run) to show the front panel of it but it doesn't work. Why?
    I post a image.

    Hello tonitpp:
Unfortunately, the "Run VI" method only executes the vi and it will not open the front panel.
If you want to open the front panel, use the "Open FP" method, which is also located on the same class.
    I hope this helps.

  • FileInfo Custom Panel doesn't show xmp data: flex 3.6, FileInfo SDK 5.1

Just getting into XMP. Decided to make custom File Info panel for our custom xmp namespace data that will be applying to all our images in our archive.
Since still on Adobe CS 5.5, got the FileInfo 5.1 SDK. Got the Flex 3.6a package. I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.5, java version "1.6.0_37".
Compiled the "TestPanel" that comes with the SDK. That works. It has a fi:XMPTextInput item that shows the xmpPath="dc:title" dublincore xmp data, i can change it and save it and when i come back it is the changed data. When i look in the Raw fileinfo tab, it is there as i had modified it.
Now when i add a fi:XMPLabel for xmpPath="xmp:CreatorTool" no data is shown in my custom FileInfo panel. And when i add in my own custom xmp namespace data "mydata" that does not show either. The labels and textboxes are there for entering, but it appears that it is not parsing correctly to find the data to populate what is in the file already. I can type something in but it doesn't save it to the file. My custom xmp data namespace "mydata" data is showing in the Raw FileInfo panel so i know it is there, as i put it there with exiftool.
I have the required namespace lines in the mxml file for the panel:
    <fi:XMPNamespaces>
    <fi:XMPNamespace prefix="mydata" value="http://example.com/xmp/mydata/"/>
    <fi:XMPNamespace prefix="dc" value="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"/>
    <fi:XMPNamespace prefix="xmp" value="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" />
    </fi:XMPNamespaces>
The mxml file compiles and the panels load and display so it doesn't seem like it is the source files. It seems like a runtime issue. Since it does show the one  dublincore xmp data it does seem like the panel is working, except for the "xmp" namespace and  my "mydata" namespace. That's got to be a clue but being so new to this it is not giving me any directions to go in.
Any and all ideas are most appreciated.
    Peace,
    Dan

For some reason SpeedGrade updated through the Application manager. I tried downloading the updates from adobe's website but it won't install. Prelude's update fails before it can even get started whereas the extension manager does install but it doesn't seem to be updating.
I've done as much investigation as I can think of and I'd rather not create a new user just to check that out but if I have to I will. How exactly do I create a new user on a mac?

    Hi ToNi
I attach you another 2 simple solutions. One with the FP.State property and the other using the close function of the vi reference.
The problem using the close function is, that the first vi doesn't open in running mode. Using the function "Open FP" the vi opens, but I can't run it.
This problem is avoidable using the FP.State property.
To run the vi's, vi1.vi and vi2.vi of the close directory must be copied to c: or you have to change the absolute paths in the vi's.
I hope this is what you are looking for and it helps.

  • Panel doesn't show Power On ligh

    Hello!
I just switched to the new EVGA nVidia 780i SLI motherboard, but when I got back home from the shop and plugged my computer up, the power lights didn't show on the?external panel box with my Soundblaster X-FI Elite soundcard.
There's light on the Soundcard inside the case (the X-FI logo on the side of the card), but it's as if the external box doesn't get power to turn on.
Any ideas what's up with this?
Do I need to unplug everything, remove and delete all Creative drivers, re-plug and re-install from scratch or what?
    Cheers,
    bassa

The issue is with the I/O Console. The power plug is connected, and I haven't touched a thing besides switching to the new motherboard, but now when I've plugged the power cable from the soundcard itself back into the back of the I/O console, it doesn't turn on anymore.
Is there a known issue to this, or does somebody know what to do?

  • App panel doesn't show installed apps.

I had to reinstall Creative Cloud and it doesn't recognize all my already downloaded apps. The OPM.db fix mentioned here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/apps-panel-reflect-creative-cloud.html
didn't work. Trying to avoid having to uninstall then redownload multiple apps.

The problem wasn't that the programs were listed as up to date but that
they were listed as uninstalled. After reinstalling CC I went ahead and
told CC to install everything again and that seems to have worked. I was
worried that it would install a second copy but it either noticed it was
there, or replaced what was there. Additionally, it seems to have retained
my preferences and workspace settings, so I'm in good shape now.
For what it's worth, I'm on OSX 10.9.1. Not sure what you mean by system
optimizers, I have a few little login items/utilities but nothing major.

  • Properties panel doesn't show dimensions

Usually when I create a rectangle I can see the dimensions and coordinates in the properties panel. However on my machine at work the dimensions and coordinates are not showing in the properties panel. I think someone has turned off a configuration but I don't know how to turn it on again. Please can someone help me with this because I need to measure a design. Thank you

Good call. This question seems to come up regularly. You're viewing the "collapsed" version of the Properties Inspector. If you double-click the tab, or single-click the arrow in the upper-left corner, you'll see the full, "expanded" version, which includes the dimensions and coordinates that you're missing.

  • JAVA Webstart preferences panel doesn't show

    Hello,
I am running on Windows 2000 and I have installed JAVA Webstart including JRE 1.3.1_01. After the installation I have added 'javaws.cfg.proxy.setting=NONE' into my javaws.cfg file, which enabled me to finally start the JAVA Webstart application manager. But- I can't get the preferences panel to show up? When I click on the preferences- tab basically nothing happens!
I have already tried to deinstall WebStart and install it again, but this didn't solve the problem. Is anybody out there, who had this problem as well and knows how to solve it?

    Hello,
I have now been able to add an entry to the 'javaws.cfg' files (javaws.cfg.showConsole=true), which now brings up the JAVA Console. When I now press the 'preferences' options to bring up the JAVAWS preferences panel, I get the following errors displayed:

  • Network Panel doesn't show usual network stuff

I have a small local wireless network (all Macs running OS 10.3.9) in my home. Normally, I connect from one computer to another using the network icon that shows up in the panel in a Finder window. Clicking on this icon usually shows the local computer, as well as the other machines on my net that are active.
The last few days, clicking on the Network icon produces a panel with three folders: Applications, Library, Users, each of which is empty, and no other computers. This is happening only on my G3 Powerbook (Wallstreet), not on the other machines. I can still connect using Go:Connect to Server, with explicit IP address, but I liked the normal setup better.
Any advice would be appreciated. There was a identical question about 6 months ago, which never got resolved; the guy finally reported that things just went back to normal on their own.
    G4 Desktop/G3 Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I don't have an answer but I have a couple of suggestions.
    - I think that the Network icon is an alias to the /Network folder. Perhaps if you delete the icon and a new one is made, you will see the proper folder. To do that, I think you can just drag the Network icon from a Finder Sidebar to the trash. Then, open another Finder window. The icon should be back. See if it works properly now.
    - If that does not work, I suggest using the Terminal app in the Utilities menu to get a little more information on the relevant directory structure. Copy and paste the following two commands in the Terminal window (followed by a return):
ls -lo / | grep Network
    ls -lo /Network
Then, please copy your response and paste into another window. I will compare the results to what I have and see if there is any difference.
