Apps panel doesn't show installed Creative Cloud apps

None of my apps are showing as installed in the creative cloud application
Adobe are aware this issue exists, but their solution doesn't work ---> Apps panel doesn't show installed Creative Cloud apps
Can't say I'm surprised, Anybody knows how to really solve this problem?

It seems that Adobe doesn't think it's important to check for previous apps installation, and expects the user to manually match the creative cloud language would be installed apps language
So if you see that there is no app installed in your creative cloud just check their language settings in Preferences > Apps > Apps language.

  • App panel doesn't show installed apps.

I had to reinstall Creative Cloud and it doesn't recognize all my already downloaded apps. The OPM.db fix mentioned here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/apps-panel-reflect-creative-cloud.html
didn't work. Trying to avoid having to uninstall then redownload multiple apps.

The problem wasn't that the programs were listed as up to date but that
they were listed as uninstalled. After reinstalling CC I went ahead and
told CC to install everything again and that seems to have worked. I was
worried that it would install a second copy but it either noticed it was
there, or replaced what was there. Additionally, it seems to have retained
my preferences and workspace settings, so I'm in good shape now.
For what it's worth, I'm on OSX 10.9.1. Not sure what you mean by system
optimizers, I have a few little login items/utilities but nothing major.

  • Apps panel doesn't show Lightroom installed

I've had lightroom 5.5 installed through the apps panel previously.  Apps now panel doesn't show Lightroom installed.
I've tried both these solutions, neither have worked:

Any ideas how I can resolve this?  Thanks.

    Solution can be found here:
Lightroom keeps disappearing from my installed apps
Apparently that behaviour is normal.  Just use the Install option instead of update.

  • Lightroom doesn't appear via creative cloud app

I have lightroom installed but it doesn't show as a creative cloud app and I have the option to install it via the creative cloud app/installer. How can I move my lightroom installation so that it's integrated in the creave cloud updating/installing system? Thanks

Do you mean that you have the Lightroom perpetual-licence version installed?  As you've found, the CC app isn't smart enough to detect that.  There is no difference between the perpetual-licence version and the CC version except the licence, but if you want to switch to the CC version, you will have to install it again via the CC installer, and yes, it will download the whole G byte of code, and install the identical code over your existing installation, keeping your existing catalog, preferences etc but changing the licence.  As the code is identical, it doesn't make any difference whether you switch to the CC version (which I did) or stay with the perpetual-licence version.  It will matter only when LR6 comes, which will be free with CC but which you'll have to pay for with the perpetual licence.
Some people have reported that you have to remove the perpetual-licence version before installing with the CC app, but I didn't.
Once you've done that, then you can update it (if there are any further 5.x updates) either by downloading and installing the perpetual-licence version or via the CC app, and it keeps the CC licence.
No, it doesn't really make sense to me either.  What you need to remember is that the CC app and installer, and indeed the whole infrastructure behind CC is a bit hokey.  I think it was written by an intern.

  • I am trying to install Creative Cloud app for Desktop and it's shutting down

Trying to install the  Creative Cloud app for Desktop but every time I try the Adobe Application Manager shuts itself every time.  I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
If it is automatically installed, where do I find it? I don’t think it has installed because the Application Manager shuts itself so fast every time.

    Hi Jeff,
    Thanks for your reply.
I went into Applications> Utilities but there is no Adobe Installers folder or icon there for me to do anything with. I went back to my Adobe account front page and tried to download Illustrator again seeing as it hasn’t installed but when Application Manager tries to open (the little spinning icon) it spins about 3 times before I get a pop up saying that Adobe Application Manager has failed to open. This happens every time I attempt to download Illustrator. Any other options for what might be the issue?
    Thanks again!

  • Installing creative cloud app

I've been having trouble with Creative Cloud, I recently paid for this, and tried to download the Creative Cloud app but when I double click on it (as I'm using a MAC) it opens up the Initializing Installation bubble but nothing happens during that. I tried to talk to someone on the support chat last night, and they got me to do a bunch of things, that didn't seem to help. Does anyone else have any other suggestions as to how I can fix it and get past the Initializing Installation part.
    Thanks, Claire.

    Hi Claire,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
You can try reinstalling Adobe application manger. Go to HD>library>application support>adobe>caps and rename the caps folder. After renaming this folder, go to USER library>application support>adobe>OOBE and rename OOBE folder as well and install Adobe application manager from below link. it should work fine.

  • Issues installing creative cloud apps on iMac 10.9.4

I am trying to install Muse on my iMac 10.9.4 and have successfully downloaded and installed the CC app, however on downloading the Muse trial it just sits there saying it's downloading and nothing happens (6 hours yesterday and another hour this morning). The CC desktop app itself just has the 'egg timer' in the middle constantly spinning.  I have a 30Mb download speeds so not sure what the issue is.  Can anyone help as very frustrated?

Hi, I guess it depends on your individual issue. There really is nothing to expand upon other than I closed the Creative Cloud App, deleted the file ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db and then restarted the app and all worked. Try launching the activity monitor and force ending any Adobe process that is running too before deleting the file, sometimes process hang about even though the app is closed.
The number I used was the one on the main site and chose Creative Cloud support option.  The link to the page is... Adobe United Kingdom - Support Programs : Adobe Products

  • Procedures to re-install Creative Cloud apps after from Win 7 to Win 8 Upgrade

I'm planning to upgrade my PC to from Win 7 64 bit to Win 8 64 bit. I currently have Creative Cloud apps installed on the Win 7 PC. I will have to reinstall all apps after the upgrade to Win 8. Before doing the upgrade, should I deactivate all Creative Cloud apps under Win 7 or will the software recognize that I'm on the same PC when I go to re-install my apps? So, same physical PC, but different operating systems.
    Thank you

    Certainly.
When you install the operating system that you are licensed for, the installer will not require you to manually input a 25 character activation license key.
Any HP notebook manufactured from 2011 has been using the SLP method. That is why you don't see a Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity with the 25 character activation license key anywhere on the notebook.

  • Installing Creative Cloud apps on a thin client

The bulk of our staff are using thin clients connected to application and data servers. How are the apps installed in this case?

    Hi MiwatjHealth,
I am sorry but Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud Applications are not tested on Vitual Environment also they are not Server products. and so we can't provide much help to you. As per my understanding Applications will get installed on Server and it will create a Session for Thin Client user to access their system.

  • Trouble launching "installed" Creative Cloud apps

According to the application manager for Creative cloud, Muse is downloaded and installed on my Mac but it won't launch and I can't even find it with a local search on my computer.  I am also unable to redownload it because Application manager thinks it is installed.
    Any ideas?

The Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool should be able to fix the problem. Here is the link with instructions. This usually resolves any problems in the download and installation process. Essentially you will uninstall your apps, run the cleaner tool, then reinstall the apps.
Please let me know if it does not resolve the issue.
    Cheers,

  • File info Panel doesn't show up in CS6 apps

    Hi all,
I have compiled a File Info Panel with EB2. It opens fine in CS5.5 apps but it's not accessible with CS6.
I can't see any settings in EB2 to have both versions supported. I also tweaked the manifest and get the ZXP recompiled but then althought the panel does appear, the content isn't built.
Any hint on what's happening ?
    Best,
    Loic

    Hi Loic,
Do you know what directory you are installing the panel to? Is it /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/3.0/panels/
Can you try placing the panel inside of  /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/4.0/panels/ instead. If your panel does not display when you open the FileInfo dialog on your development machine then you may need to adjust the flash player trust file so it is pointing at the 4.0 directory; /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#Security/FlashPlayerTrust
In the MXI file update the paths so it deploys to the 4.0 directory.
I will forward this issue onto the Extension Builder team as it seems supporting FileInfo panels between suite versions is not currently available.
    Kind regards,
    Lea
