I have created new service with Query in my new NWGW system,when i am testing,it is giving below error,can you please help me what should i do for this,
ERROR_INFO Function call of /IWBEP/FM_MGW_HANDLE_REQUEST failed; the obligatory parameter IV_BODY

Hello Vankat,
Please check the inputs which u r sending. Check the format mainly.
Pass importing/exporting/tables to ur logic/FM correctly. Cross check this.
Put a break-point in Get_Entity_Set method and check what is the format of the inputs which u r sending to ur logic. Send the data in an appropriate format.

I am Unable to set data to the Node . I did not get any error message or Dump while executing . when i tried to retrive data I got the details from the node but am unable to view those details in the FBI UI and BOBT UI while testing .

Hi Kranthi,
For your requirement you need only two nodes. Root Node and Result node. Use the same structure for both.
To create Instance while search.
Create Query method with input type which has the required fields for selection criteria.
Fetch the data and create instance in the root node.
Pass the new instance key as exporting parameter form Query Method.
To Move data from ROOT to Result.
Create a action at root node.
Write a code to create new entries in Result node.
Then configure the Search UIBB and display result in List UIBB. Add button and assign the action MOVE_MAT_2_RESULT.
Create another List uibb to display data from Result node.
Connect the UIBBs using wire schema. SEARCH -> LIST(ROOT) ---> LIST(RESULT).
Give src node association for ROOT to RESULT Configuration.

I don't have that book at hand, but your problem is the "Unclosed quotationmark after the character string",as the error message shows. You have to enclose the 'XQUERY' string quotation in the
query().

Query Engine Error after upgrade from CR for VS2003 to CR for VS2008

Three CR reports were built in CR 8.5, loaded into VS2003 (C#), and converted. Each report worked fine for the past three years. Each report users the same odbc connection direct to the Sybase 12.5.3 database and each is based on a stored procedure. Each report has input parameters. Recently we did an upgrade to VS2008. We installed the CRRedist2008_x86.msi on the development machine running Windows XP and on the server running Windows 2003. No changes were made to the design of the reports, the parameters, or to the database stored procedures.
Several other reports run just fine since the update to VS2008, however, two reports are now raising an error message "Query Engine Error: 'An internal error has occurred. Please contact Business Objects technical support.' Failed to open a rowset." This error message occurs just after ReportViewer.ShowDialog() method is called (login has already been successfully achieved) I verified that with the parameters being passed to the reports are correct and that these should indeed be returning data.
One additional report is also now raising the error "Query Engine Error at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.ReportSourceClass.GetLastPageNumber(RequestContext pRequestContext) at CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.EromReportSourceBase.GetLastPageNumber(ReportPageRequestContext reqContext) ". It can be described as above, odbc connection to Sybase 12.5.3, achieves a successful login, based on a stored procedure that is unchanged. The rpt itself is unchanged.
I would appreciate your assistance with getting these reports working again. Any suggestions welcome!

I forgot to mention that I had already done a 'Verify Database' on each of these reports, with no success. However, I have now repeated the 'Verify Database' on each report and they all work. Not sure why it had to be done a second time, but I am very happy that it works. Thank you for your response.
In answer to your question - why does the Crystal Reports runtime have to be installed on the development machine? This is because our process includes an installation of the application on the development machine, independent of the debug environment, and a test of that application instance before deploying to the application server.

Redefining Query method for BP search

Hi All,
I added sales office and sales group field in BP search page (COMM_BUPA_SEARCH) ,
I created child class for CL_BSP_BP_ACCMOD i.e. ZCL_BSP_BP_ACCMOD and tried to redefined Query method.
But in IF_CRM_BSP_MODEL_ACCESS_IL~QUERY there are some private attribute of Super class, because of that I am facing the error.
Please advise me in
1) What should I do to add sales office and sales group in query criteria .
2)To add sales office and sales group fields on search screen I created new field group and add that in BUP_BUS1006_SEARCH_ALL_FIELDS (Group type attribute is set to Screen Group) But on page the title of screen group is still "Search By Role", insted of "Search by sales Info" (This is description of newly added field grp)

1) If am not mistaken, there is a variable in the standard SAP program called lv_where_clause for the search query.But this would be a modification. try looking into this program SAPLCRM_BUPA_BSP_SEARCH_ACC. try putting a break point and see if this is where you wanted to add the field in your query.

No such method error when launching the Interactive form

Hi Experts,
I have developed a simeple Java Webdynpro application and added an Interactive form without any controls in it. Created the context with one value node and a binary value attribute.
I have assigned value node to datasource and binary attribute to pdfSource. When I launch the application I am getting the following no such method error.
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com/sap/tc/webdynpro/clientserver/uielib/adobe/api/IWDInteractiveForm.setTemplateSource(Ljava/lang/String;)V
The currently executed application, or one of the components it depends on, has been compiled against class file versions that are different from the ones that are available at runtime.
If the exception message indicates, that the modified class is part of the Web Dynpro Runtime (package com.sap.tc.webdynpro.*) then the running Web Dynpro Runtime is of a version that is not compatible with the Web Dynpro Designtime (Developer Studio or Component Build Server) which has been used to build + compile the application.
My NWDS is of Version 7.0.06
and J2EE Engine is of Version 6.40.
any guess why I am getting this error.

Does this column ACCCODE exist in your table accbal?
The columns in the outer query will not be visible in the inner query but the vise versa is true.

Abstract Method Error and XML Parsing

I am using wl6sp1. I am parsing an XML file from within the
servlet using jaxp1.1 and crimson.
Following is code:
1- SAXParserFactory spf = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
2- sp = spf.newSAXParser();
3- xr = sp.getXMLReader();
4- xr.setContentHandler(new ParseXML());
5- xr.parse( new InputSource("Example3.xml"));
This program works fine when execute from command line but in servlet on line
3 it says:
"Abstract Method Error"
I have created XML Registry to use Crimson as XML parser rather than default.
I think somehow wl is still using jaxp1.0 which is built in
support in wlsp1.
Whats wrong with the code...or what configuration i am missing???

I'm assuming you have already put crimson.jar first in the classpath for the java
command you use to start WebLogic. If so, have you tried putting the servlet in
a .war file with the crimson.jar in its' WEB-INF/lib directory?

Save Query - An error occurred while creating connection strings for the query

A workbook trying to edit and reload I get the following error "Save Query - An error occurred while creating connection strings for the query" No Power Pivot data model or anything.

I am getting the same error when editing a Power Query in an Excel spreadsheet. It happens when I change a Group By step to do a Sum instead of Count Rows.

Query Engine Error when adding to repository.

I'm using Crystal 9. I am trying to using the Add Command function as a datasource from an ODBC connection. The SQL is straightforward.
Select dbo.CDS_STATDAY.Meta_ID
From dbo.CDS_STATDAY
I get an error when I select the "Add to Repository" checkbox in the "Add Command to Report" dialog box. I don't get an error if I don't select it and the query seems to run fine.
The errors I get are 'Query Engine Error:"' and then 'Not supported. Details: Failed to create object.'
Is this a permissions problem?

Do you have Business Objects / Crystal Enterprise in stalled in your network? If so, what is the version of Enterprise you are using ? This is becuase, the Crystal Query enginene have changed from CR server XI.

You'll probably find that the JDBC driver that you are using doesn't support blobs. Check the documentation that comes with your driver, it should tell you what parts of the JDBC specification it supports.

Query Engine Error in Crystal Report

I have a asp application with crystal report as reporting tool. Every thing works fine with Oracle 9i, but when i migrate to Oracle Database 10g Release2 some of the reports in crystal report shows following error report.
Query Engine Error:'HY00:[oracle][ODBC][ora]ora-01456:may not perform insert/delete/update operation inside a Read Only transaction.
ORA-06521:at "<dbusername>.<procedure name>,line 58
ORA-06512:at line1
I checked the database is in READ WRITE mode.

Query running error

Hi, all.
In our PROD system we faced one problem. When we run query we get error
"Cannot create characteristic combination: type \BI0\0100000100" doesn't exit"
"Special situation CX_SY_CREATE_DATE_ERROR"
I think we have problem with temporary database objects what is described in SAP note 1139396. And we execute report "SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES", but it doesn't help.
Can anybody help us with this problem?

This probably won't solve your issue... but have you tried to regenerate your query using RSRT -> Generate button? I've found that this feature has helped resolved some query execution errors after transporting.
Can you give us any information about what dates are used in your query (standard or custom, any variables created on these date InfoObjects?). Thanks!
