  • OIM_910_VmWare0 with weblogic

    hi friends....
we are successfully went through the OIM_910_VmWare0 with application server jboss which is already in the vm.But we got stucked when try to use weblogic instead of jboss ;we installed weblogic 10.3.3 and try to install oim on that;but we got the result that the application server version is not supporting...
is there any way to do the oim installation with weblogic successfully on OIM_910_VmWare0.

Looks like the OIMApplication/ and webapps/ folders are auto synced with stage/ folder content. If my understanding is correct, then once i make change to stage folder content, i don't have to do anything else? Please confirm.
I also see some exception coming at the end of server startup:

  • AIA 2.4 installation on SOA suite 10.1.3.4 with Weblogic 9.2 MP3

    Hi
I am trying to install AIA 2.4 on SOA suite 10.1.3.4 with Weblogic 9.2 MP3.
I could successfully install SOA suite 10.1.3.4 with Weblogic 9.2 MP3 and applied MLR # 9 Patch as well.
I am looking for document reference(step by step document) To install AIA 2.4 on weblogic.
When i used AIA 2.4 installer it was asking for OPMN port/OC4J instance name. Is there any other AIA 2.4 Installer for weblogic server?
    Thanks

Of course, seeing 2.x I mistakenly thought PIPs as AIA Foundation Pack is now current version of 11gR1. Anybody wishing to install AIA Foundation Pack, especially with WLS should use 11gR1.
Can you elaborate on the reason you are electing to go with an older version of both AIA Foundtion Pack and SOA Suite?

I faced similar issue sometime back with Weblogic.
    Here's how I resolved that -
Using weblogic admin console verify that OIMAuthenticator is present in weblogic Authentication Providers under Security Realms - >myrealms->Providers
Also check that Control Flag in DefaultAuthenticator is set to "SUFFICIENT". In my case after the installation it was still set to "REQUIRED".

  • OAM (10.1.4.3) Integration with WebLogic App Server (10.3.0 or below)

    Hi All,
Can I use OAM 10.1.4.3 (Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter) to implement SSO with weblogic App Server 10.3.0 or below?
OAM 10.1.4.3 Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter is the recommended way to configure SSO with Web Logic App server 10.3.1 ( Oracle Middleware 11g).
    And
OAM 10.1.4.2 uses WebLogic SSPI to configure SSO between OAM 10g and WebLogic App Server 10.3.0 or below.

    Hi,
This is how the integration goes with different versions of WLS and OAM.
There is oamAuthnProvider.jar available with OAM 10.1.4.3 downloads. So it provides the assertion functionality.
Can I use OAM 10.1.4.3 (Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter) to implement SSO with weblogic App Server 10.3.0 or below?
    Mahendra: Yes
OAM 10.1.4.3 Authentication Provider & Identity Asserter is the recommended way to configure SSO with Web Logic App server 10.3.1 ( Oracle Middleware 11g).
Mahendra: Yes, this is the recommended and easy approach.
OAM 10.1.4.2 uses WebLogic SSPI to configure SSO between OAM 10g and WebLogic App Server 10.3.0 or below.
Mahendra: Yes, older version of OAM uses SSPI connector installation.
    HTH.

  • Installation Guidance (WebLogic 10.3.5 / Oracle Forms,Reports 11.1.1.6)

Goal : I am a designer/developer, have worked on already-installed systems for years, now between contracts and want/need to set up my own installation of Oracle Database 11g R2 database and development tools including Oracle Forms/Reports 11g (also SQL Developer and Application Express, but these come with the DB).
Caveat : have not done an installation of the DB and development tools for years and I know a lot has changed.
System : Windows 7 (64 bit), 6 GB RAM, 600 GB Hard Drive
Here is an overview of the steps as I understand them from the documentation I've been able to find. I know there are lots of details for each step but I want to know if the overall order is right.
    1. Install DB (downloaded Oracle 11G Release 2, ready to install Enterprise Edition).
    2. Install Repository Creation Utility 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) to set up the schemas for Fusion Middleware
** QUESTION ** where on earth does one find this? Anyone have a link for it? Or does it come with a larger patchset/installation set?
    3. Install Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.5)
    4. Install Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer Release 11g (11.1.1.2.0) but do not configure (advice given in documentation for 11.1.1.6 Patchset)
    5. Install and Configure 11.1.1.6 Patchset
Any comments or suggestions welcome. Hope to avoid pitfalls if possible.
    Thanks in advance !

The point is that over TCPIP the MQ XA connection factory is not available.
The MQ shared memory/JNI driver is required to access it, which limits
access to those processes that are on the same box as the MQ q manager.
This is an MQ series limitation.

  • BIG5 Problem with WebLogic Express 6.1

              Hi,
I found some problem with Chinese Big5 when using JSP. All big5 code convert in
a wrong format and can't view by browser.
              My server setting is:
              OS: Solaris 8
              Weblogic: Express 6.1
              JDK 1.3.1
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
I have tried different way like creating a new string in different encoding type.
Actually the BIG5 work fine with Solaris 8, JDK1.2.2_05a and Weblogic 5.1. However
I WEblogic 6.1 only support JDK1.3 or above. Anyone can help me out. Thanks.
Pls email me at [email protected]

The download binary is the same for WL Full version and WL Express. It's the
license that matters. Contact BEA to obtain / buy a WL Express license.

We have WebLogic 6.1 licensed software. I need to work with WebLogic
    Express.
I installed on win2K using the installer available with the CD. Now, what
exactly do I need to do (restricting license..) to work with WebLogic
    Express?
I need this info urgently. Any help in this regard is greatlyappreciated.

    Hi.
WebLogic Express is WebLogic Server with a different license that limits
    some of
the WebLogic Server features, such as EJB. Downloading WLS effectively
    downloads
    WebLogic Express.
    Regards,

I am trying to install OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 and Oracle DB 11.1.0.6 on Windows 2003 (64-bit) and Sun JDK 1.6.0_10 (Oracle certified configuration).
The problem is that my weblogic fails to start-up as soon as I enter the weblogic user-name on the command prompt. It says that the weblogic is not able to use some binary to pick-up the userID. This may be some issue related to Win 64bit environment.
To overcome this issue, I hard coded the userID and password for weblogic in Weblogic's SetDomainEnv.cmd file.
I want to know whether including the userID and password in the weblogic's file can result in OIM installation failure.
    Please help.

I personally don't think your OIM installation will fail because of that as OIM installation only execute some of the WLS configuration script to install OIM applications into WLS.

  • Version 11.1.1.1 is compatible with Weblogic 10.0 or not -- Urgent Please!!

    Hello Experts,
One of my customer has an issue with installation of Essbase version 11.1.1.1.
In the install doc for 11.1.1.1, it says shared services required web logic server patch CR283953 for all platforms. It says you can get this patch at the BEA website. I went through bea website and found that CR283953 is fixed in Weblogic 10.0
Customer would like to know whether Version 11.1.1.1 is compatible with Weblogic 10.0 or not.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Sonu

I'm not an expert. In fact, I haven't been to get Essbase 11.1.1.1 to work at all. The documentation here shows which application servers are supported: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/epm_install_start_here_11111/frameset.htm?ch04s03s01.html
I'm sorry to say that Weblogic 10 is not one of them, which I also tried 10.3 thinking it was the "supposed" Oracle AS 10gR3, which does not seem to exist.
Currently, I'm trying a Oracle 11g Database with the Embedded Java container but the Configurator fails when registering the Shared Services.

  • How to integrate Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse with Weblogic Portal

    Hi
I am following this documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14252/setup_dev_env.htm#i1013214
to setup my development environment for developing portal applications, but I cannot set it up, my eclipse does not have PORTAL perspective.
I have downloaded the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11gR1 (11.1.1.5) and the Oracle WebLogic Portal 10.3 as mentioned in the documentation.
The Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3 includes a workshop version of eclipse, but that is not based on a recent Eclipse, that is why I would like to use the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11gR1 (11.1.1.5).
It is weird int he Oracle Portal 10.3 installation that I cannot install the Weblogic Portal without the Workshop.
Could you help me in this? How can I integrate the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse with Weblogic Portal?
    Thank you.

For WebLogic Portal tooling you have a couple of options. For WebLogic Portal 10.3 and older, Workshop for WebLogic will be your tooling environment.
Starting in WebLogic Portal 10.3.2, which released this year, the development tools have migrated to Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse. The WebLogic Portal 10.3.2 installer will install both the runtime and the IDE configured with additional WebLogic Portal Eclipse features (Portal Project Configuration, Perspecitives, Palettes, Deployment, etc).
If you are interest in the latest version, you can download from the WebLogic Portal OTN page - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/weblogic/portal/index.html
