OAF page as HTML SubTAb Menu

iProcuremnet Responsibility -> Requisitions Tab
There are 3 sub tabs : Requisitions, Approvals, Notifications. I need to add third subtab as my custom page. So I registered my page as a function and attched the function to a new custom menu of type HTML SubTab
(I did this similar to the 3 subtabs we see under requisitions tab of iProcurement)
When I clicked me new subtab, The Custom page opens but on the left hand side, I see an extra rectangular box dispalying the name of the SubTab i.e 'Contract Requisitions'
I do not see this box when I run from JDEV. I see it when I open through the iprocurement page on the Application.
Please advise,
Pradeep

Thanks for responding ranjit.
I need to save oaf page on local machine.(ex. saving google home page www.google.com on machine using IE browser ->file save as ).When i try to save any oaf page using IE browser on local machiine and try opening the saved page,the page looks odd i.e. fields /links and background color are not proper.but when i save using firefox browser it saves good.any idea why this happens ,i tried using IE versions 6 and 7.More over once the saved page opens properly incase the saved page has any hyper links i should be able to access those hyper links
Thanks

  • Jumping to a page in HTML SideBar Menu

    Hello,
    I have following kind of menu hierarchy attached to a responsibility.
       Home Menu
           HTML Tab Menu (Tab)
               Function1
               HTML Sub Tab Menu (SubTab)
                   HTML SideBar  (SideBar)
                       Function2
                       Function3
                       Function4When user choose the responsibility, he is taken to the page corresponding to Function1 and this page appears under Tab. When user clicks a button on this page, user is
    taken to Function2, by using setForwardURL("Function2", .....)
    This works fine, i.e., user is taken to page corresponding to Function2 but I don't see SideBar menu, which should appear on left hand side of the page like
    Function2
    Function3
    Function4
    Is it something to do with parameters passed to setForwardURL?
    May not be relevant to the problem, but some more info.
    When I added SubTab to Tab, I specified prompt as <empty>, as I don't want SubTab to be seen as it serves no purpose, only reason SubTab is added
    to have 3rd level of menu, i.e. SideBar, which should appear on left hand side of the page.
    regards, Yora

    As said in
    setForwardURL functionName vs PG.xml path
    check the url of the page your function is pointing to
    and use the same url with KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT as menuContext parameter to setForwardURL and try.
    Hope you dont see any difference

    Deployement steps:
    1) Copy the Class files and move to into server
    We can get class file >>F:\OAF\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\imp
    \myprojects
    (imp) Load into server (java TOP) >>D:\oracle\viscomn\java\
    2) Run the XML import Scripts in Command Prompt
    F:\OAF\jdevbin\jdev\bin
    For every Page and every Lov region
    3) Next Go to apps
    System administrator Create Function for a page
    Description tab:
    Function Name : IMP_STUDENT_REGISTRATION
    User Function Name: Imp Student Registration
    Description : Imp Student Registration
    Properties Tab:
    Type: SSWA JSP function
    WebHTML Tab
    Function:
    HTML call: OA.jsp?page=/imp/oracle/apps/po/student/webui/ImpStudentResitrationPG
    Note: DO the same for all the pages
    4) Attach these Functions to Imp Student Operations menu to Imp Student Operations responsibility to User.
    5) Bounce the apache.

  • First OAF page deployment - many questions

    I am trying deploy my first OAF Page (HelloWorldPG). However, I am getting lost trying to understand the directory
    structure. I tried to read through older posts from other users....but parts of their directory structure is different
    from mine.
    Development Steps:
    1) Created new OA component page using the default package "oracle.apps.ak.hello"
    The Physical location of the page is C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui
    I notice that it is also located under C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui. why does it get created in both myprojects and myclasses?
    2) Created and attached the controller class (HelloWorldMainCO.class) as suggested in the dev guide
    Physical location of the class file is C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui
    3) Build and run the page. Page runs with out any errors
    Deployment steps(This is where I feel like I am running in circles...)
    1) I manually created a directory structure "/hello/webui" under $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ak since I thought that it should match what I had on my PC. Is this step of creating the directory structure manually even needed?
    2) Then I migrated:
    a)"HelloWorldPG.xml" into $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui from C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui
    as ASCII after ftp'ing into in my UNIX via command prompt
    b) "HelloWorldMainCO.class" into $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui from C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui
    as Binary after ftp'ing into in my UNIX via command prompt
    3) I tried to import the page/region in to the DB using the following command in the command prompt from C:\JDEV\jdevbin\jdev\bin
    import C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui\HelloWorldPG.xml -username apps -password <password> -rootdir C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\ -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=172.xx.x.xxx)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=<xxxxxx>)))" -rootPackage /oracle/apps/ak/hello
    Import seems to have completed successfully without any errors. However, I am not sure if I gave the correct rootpackage or not.
    JDR_% tables seem to be updated. I can vouch for only the JDR_PATHS table as only that seems to have the creation date.
    PS: In the above import statement, I masked (only for this post) the password, ip address and the SID for security reasons. I am confident that what I used when importing is accurate.
    4) At this point should I be able to run procedure shown below?
    Begin
    jdr_utils.PrintDocument('/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/HelloWorldPG');
    End;
    or should I first create the AOL function/attach it to the menu and then run the above?
    I tried running it, with out creating the AOL Function and attaching the menu. It comes back with the message "Error: Could not find document /oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/HelloWorldPG".
    5) Then I created the form function called "TOOLBOX_HELLO" with following:
    Type = SSWA jsp function
    HTML Call = "OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/HelloWorldPG"
    Now I don't know which menu to add the AOL Function.
    As I mentioned earlier, I tried to read through several other older posts....however, I am getting confused.
    There are multiple places in the above steps where I need guidance. Could any one pls. suggest/correct my steps in deployment?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    1) Created new OA component page using the default package "oracle.apps.ak.hello"
    The folder myclasses holds the .class compiled object files you deploy, the myprojects folder holds the .java source files.

    Yes. This allows your code to be separate from seeded code so it isn't overwritten on patches.
    2) Then I migrated:
    a)"HelloWorldPG.xml" into $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui from C:\JDEV\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\ak\hello\webui

    Begin
    jdr_utils.PrintDocument('/oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/HelloWorldPG');
    End;
    Yes, that will show you that it was loaded into mds. This is only for diagnostic purposes, not always required.
    or should I first create the AOL function/attach it to the menu and then run the above?
    You can now to do the AOL function.
    I tried running it, with out creating the AOL Function and attaching the menu. It comes back with the message "Error: Could not find document /oracle/apps/ak/hello/webui/HelloWorldPG".

    You need to bounce the apache server on the middle tier to get it to work.
    Hope this helps.

  • How To-set DFF to null and Not required in OAF page ??

    enabled service dff, added 2 segments. i want them displayed in service request oaf pages.
    details of dff-
    Application=Service , title = Additional Information for Agents
    in context field region : unchecked required and displayed
    In global data elements - added 2 segments based on value set(validation type = independent, list type = poplist)
    displayed and enabled checkbox are checked for both the segments.
    I want to be able to do two things
    1.in HTML service request agentdashboard- the 2 new dffs are displayed correctly as drop down lists. I can pick and save a value to those mapped columns.
    but the two drop downs are REQUIRED. I do not want them to be. how can I make them un-required.
    --while personalizing this flexfield elemnt from oaf page - I did not have the attribute-required to be unset.
    2. I want a default blank value in both the drop down list.
    I tried to add a nullvalue in valueset ,but its not letting me. can i do that ??
    any pointers please.
    Thanks in advance

    For your question
    >
    if I want to show one segment based on value of some other bean in the UI, then can I do it ? and how ?
    >
    If you do not want to extend controller then you need to use javascript. Sample code below
    <SCRIPT>if (document.getElementById("QFEQHR_FV").value =='Class Room')
    {document.getElementById("DescFlex2").style.visibility = "visible";}
    else{document.getElementById("DescFlex2").style.visibility = "hidden";} </SCRIPT>Here "QFEQHR_FV" is any bean ID in your page and "DescFlex" is DFF flex item ID. To get handle of the required DFF attribute change numbers starting from '0' and test.
    Sample code for testing
    <SCRIPT>alert(document.getElementById("DescFlex0").value);</SCRIPT>You need to add this code to "Text" property of a "Raw Text" item.

  • Is it possible to launch a form from an OAF page using OAF Personalization

    In R11, the Customer Standard form ARXCUDCI was customized to call a custom block from the Address screen. In R12 the customer standard form has become an OAF page. We have decided to create a custom form for the custom block using Oracle Developer. However we need a mechanism to call this custom form from the Customer Standard OAF page.
    My query is if it is possible to call a custom form from an OAF page using OAF personalization only (i.e. without directly customizing the code of the OAF page)
    Thanks
    Sanjay

    Dear Apurba,
    I have made some progress.
    I have open the Customers OAF Page, queried a customer, selected a site and opened it.
    Then chose Personalize "Account Site Address"
    There I added a Button on the Header Address level
    ID=XXTVL_LASSY_BUTTON
    Populated the Additional Text and Prompt properties.
    Also set Destination URI=form:SYSADMIN:SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR:STANDARD:FND_FNDMNMNU.
    The button is now showing in the address page, and when I click on it it opens the seeded Menu form.
    I now have to create the custom form and set Destination URI to the Custom Form.
    I am also aware how to add parameters to Destination URI.
    But could you let me know how to read the value from a OAF page form field and reference it in Destination URI.
    I need the value of PARTY_SITE_ID of the Address OAF page.
    Alternatively, the Site Number is displayed on the OAF page. If I can read it that will also do. I can use the Site Number in the custom form rather than PARTY_SITE_ID
    Thanks
    Sanjay

  • Printing BI Publisher report from OAF Page WITHOUT Preview or Save Option

    I have a requirement to print a BI Publisher Report on the invoke of a Button from a OAF Page. I have followed the method suggested in the below link to integrate OAF and BI Publisher.-
    http://apps2fusion.com/at/51-ps/260-integrating-xml-publisher-and-oa-framework
    In this scenario, I already developed Data Definition (XML) and Template (RTF) for the report and a self service page with 'Generate PDF' button. When the button is clicked the template is getting filled with the data from the database and displaying the PDF output. A dialog box with 'Open/Save/Cancel' appears before the PDF document is shown.
    But my requirement is to avoid this dialog box and Save option so when the button is clicked the document has to be directly sent to the printer.
    Is there anyway to achieve this? Please help as this is very urgent..
    Thanks,
    Naren

    Naveen,
    You need to read the documentation here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-publisher/documentation/xmlpdocs-084437.html
    All of the information you need is in these:
    Administration and Developer's Guide
    Report Designer's Guide
    JavaDocs
    With the BI publisher (XML publisher) Java APIs, you can call a data template with parameters and get the XML from that.
    For an example that should be very close to what you need to do, see the comments section of this page:

  • Problem in XML Publisher Report submission from OAF Pages

    Hi,
    I am trying to submit Concurrent Program from OAF Page which is an XML Publisher Report.
    The request is Submitting and Completing successfully but when we open to view the out put we are able to view the HTML tags.
    We checked the same Concurrent program by submitting from the SRS window After completing if we click on view output the rtf file is getting opened correctly.
    I tested with normal rdf report it is working fine with standard Concurrent program used in OAF
    So my doubt is
    Does the Standard Concurrent program used in OAF supports the rtf reports.
    Please suggest if any modifications to be done in the Concurrent program
    Krishna

    Modified your code a little bit.Use this
        public int submitCPRequest(String shipmentId) {
        System.out.println("into submitCPRequest");
            OAPageContext pageContext;
            OAWebBean webBean;
        try {
    OAApplicationModule am =pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
        OADBTransaction tx = (OADBTransaction)am.getOADBTransaction();
        java.sql.Connection pConncection = tx.getJdbcConnection();
        ConcurrentRequest cr = new ConcurrentRequest(pConncection);
        String applnName = new String("XXAPL"); //Application that contains the concurrent program
        System.out.println("ApplName"+ applnName);
        String cpName = new String("XXAPLPOSMPRD"); //Concurrent program name
        System.out.println("Concc Name"+ cpName);
        String cpDesc = new String(" APL PO Shipping Material Pickup Request"); // concurrent Program description
        // Pass the Arguments using vector
        // Here i have added my parameter headerId to the vector and passed the
        //vector to the concurrent program
        Vector cpArgs = new Vector();
        cpArgs.addElement(shipmentId);
        System.out.println("Args"+ cpArgs);
        // Calling the Concurrent Program
        int requestId = cr.submitRequest(applnName, cpName,cpDesc, null, false, cpArgs);
        cr.addLayout("XXAPL", "XXAPLPOSMPRT", "ENG", "US" , "RTF");
        System.out.println("Req Id"+ requestId);
        tx.commit();
        return requestId;
            catch (RequestSubmissionException e) {
            System.out.println("Into Exception");

  • OAF page with XML Publisher report

    Hi All,
    I am trying to create a OAF page with an XML Publisher report. I am not able to create a 'defaultSingleColumn' region which extends '/oracle/apps/xdo/oa/common/webui/DocumentViewerRn.MainRegion', getting a Confirm message and Validation error and they are:
    Confirm message:
    Component "/oracle/apps/xdo/12.0.0/mds/oa/common/webui/DocumentViewerRn.MainRegion" cannot be referenced from
    "/xx/oracle/apps/xxbsk/payslip/webui/PaySlipViewPG.region1" because it violates scope restrictions.
    Are you sure you want to use component "/oracle/apps/xdo/12.0.0/mds/oa/common/webui/DocumentViewerRn.MainRegion"?
    Validation Error:
    The value "oracle/apps/xdo/12.0.0/mds/oa/common/webui/DocumentViewerRn.MainRegion"
    set on the "Extends" property for component
    "/xx/oracle/apps/xxbsk/payslip/webui/PaySlipViewPG" contains multiple naming separators.
    I am trying to develop this page for R12.1.3 and using correct version of JDev (Patch 9879989).
    I am following the below link for embedding the XML PO into my page:
    http://oracle-hack.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/launching-xml-publisher-from-oa.html
    Could you please help why I am getting error while extending region.
    Thank you,
    Ramu

    Hi. Could you please tell me how did you make it work. I read and try the same document at ttp://oracle-hack.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/launching-xml-publisher-from-oa.html
    But I got null point exception at one of xdo package which is Oracles own class. I think something is wrong or forgotten in this document.

  • Printing BI Publisher report from OAF Page

    We have a requirement to display a BI Publisher Report on the invoke of a Button/Link from a OAF Page. One way to achieve this without invoking a concurrent program is by following the method described in the link below :-
    http://apps2fusion.com/at/51-ps/260-integrating-xml-publisher-and-oa-framework
    In the current scenario, we already have developed Data Definition (XML) and Template (RTF) for the report and is used too. We want to use the same Data Definition and Template but invoke from a OAF Page. Is there a way to achieve this?
    In the method mentioned in the above link, we would have to create many VO's to generate the XML, since the XML needed in our case is a detailed one, we would need to create many VO's to achieve this. Hence looking out for a way in which we can invoke the Data Definition (XML) already registered in the BI Publisher.
    Any inputs to achieve this would be helpful.
    Regards
    Naveen

    Naveen,
    You need to read the documentation here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-publisher/documentation/xmlpdocs-084437.html

  • How can i use AME for the new OAF page.

    Dear all,
    I have developed a new OAF page and registered under Employee Self Service.
    How can i use AME for the approval process.
    Appreciate your ideas?
    zamora

    I will try to answer based on my experience of working with iProcurement and AME. It depends on how you want to make a call to AME , directly from OAF Page or from Workflow and your requirement. You didn't specify what you want to show the users on OAF Page and your business requirement.
    Before calling AME Engine from the OAF page or workflow, I guess you did already setup AME Transaction Type and it's Approval Groups, Conditions, Action Types and Rules. Do some testing from AME Business Analyst Test Workbench. Please note that, AME provides lot of PL/SQL API's that you have to call from your programs (java or workflow pl/sql)
    Let's look at the workflow and putting an OAF Page as notification.
    As Sameer said, you have kick-off workflow process from PR of CO and with in the workflow function, you make a call to AME Engine API's with the AME Transaction ID. This transactionId belongs to the AME Transsaction Type that you setup. Based on the rules setup, AME Engine generates list of approvers/approver and stores them AME Tables for that transactionId. Then, it sends a notification to the approver.
    In the workflow, where that notification is defined, in the message body you have to put an attribute(&XX_WF_FWK_RN) of type document/send. And this attribute will have the constant JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNC&paramId=-&DOCUMENT_ID-. This function is SSWA Jsp function that makes a web html call to your OAF Region.
    If your requirement is to just show the list of approvers on the OAF Page, you may have to call AME API diectly passing your AME TrasnactionId with other parameters. Then AME generates list of approvers and stores them in AME tables with each approver status. You can pickup those approvers using VO and show them on OAF Page.
    Hope this gives some idea.

  • How to Update Particular row in a table from OAF page

    Hi Can anyone please help me on the following requirement:
    In my oaf page i am displaying table values(supplier site details from base tables) with update and delete icons . When i click on update button a new page opens in which we used to update the values and click on apply button which again comes back to the original page.
    So when i click on apply button on update page i have to first search for the site in the site table whether it exists or not, if not exists i have to create a new row and save the data, if site exists in the table i have to update the row of a table for that particular site. I have written code for this but unable to achive the requirement, it is not updating the existing row of the table. And i am doing all this on the Temp tables.
    So now when i save, previous transaction is also updating along with the current transaction. That means when i m trying to save 2nd transaction values , 1st transactions values are getting updated with the 2nd transaction values(2 rows are getting updated)
    Can anyone help me with the code used for updating the current row of the table. Please correct me if i m doing anyting wrong in code.
    following is the current code i m using and which is failing :

    Please answer following:
    1. Are you using EO based VOs or ReadOnly VO?
    2. What is your VO Query for the search and update?
    3. Why have you based your logic on site_name; you should have used site_id?
    4.Are you getting correct site name in handling createECdetailsEvent event in CO?
    5. In case of update are you getting correct values on the Update Site Details?
    6. On coming back from Update page to Supplier Site Search page, do you see old values of the site or the new values in the results table?
    Please share the screenshot if possible.
