OATM error.. while running"Generating Migration commands"
Hi Friends,
I am running 11.5.10.2 on SUn Solaris 10..10gr2 DB..I am facing a problem while running Generating Migration command using OATM menu. I am getting the following error in the log
ORA-10643: Database should be mounted in restricted mode and Exclusive mode
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SPACE_ADMIN", line 0
ORA-06512: at "APPS.FND_TS_MIG_UTIL", line 59
ORA-06512: at line 1
After referring to ML#337890.1 and running the script to find products installed in system tablespace, I found out that theres a schema "POS" in SYSTEM tablespace.. I have successfully moved the tables and indexes corresponding to POS schema to another tablespace and changed the default tablespace of POS schema the but tablespace column in fnd_product_installations still shows "POS" schema is in SYSTEM tablespace.. and generating migration commands after moving objects is still giving the same error. Could someone please tell me why I am getting this error and if its possible to update the value in fnd_product_installations or is there an other workaround to get rid of this error
Thanks
Hey Hussein,

Hi,
I build berkeley db (4.7.25) libraries with tcl test suite is enabled in the solaris 9 machine using below configuration
../dist/configure --enable-dynamic ${BUILD_TAG} enable-tcl with-tcl=/export/tcl8.5/lib enable-test enable-java -prefix ${BUILD_DIR}

What could be the reason for the above errors while running the tcl testsuite ?
Is there any problem in berkeley db libraries that are build with above configuration?
Could you please clarify.
Thanks in advance.

Is this problem occur if berkeley db jars having any issues ?Why because, when berkeleydb jars (build without tcl test flags in the same environment) are used in application under high load,application is hanged because of berkeley db native api.
Sorry,I could not change ulimit value in my system because of lack of permissions.
Can you please explain what could be the reason for the above error and how to rectify it.
Thanks

Checked metalink found the below solution but please the me interconnect_name is what ?
Check if the column interconnect_name from the fnd_database_instances has a value. If not, please update it with the correct value:
update FND_DATABASE_INSTANCES
set INTERCONNECT_NAME = 'xxx';
commit;
Rerun the process.

Error while running migrateInstance5
Hi all,
I am getting the following error while running the migrateInstance5 when I am trying to migrate from 4.16 to 5.1:-
AtributeName: mvs, Value: ( mvs-oid NAME ( 'mvs' ) DESC 'User Defined Attribute' SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.15 X-ORIGIN 'user defined' )
Can't add attribute to the schema: ( mvs-oid NAME ( 'mvs' ) DESC 'User Defined Attribute' SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.15 X-ORIGIN 'user defined' )
Msg: Invalid syntax
The attribute 'mvs' is a multivalued attribute. Rest of the schema seem to migrate fine.This error happened because I had my attribute name mis- matched with my oid name. Since I modified the error that was generated to make it look simple you could not see it. I shouldn't have modified the output. sorry.
Looks like in 4.x the attribute name and corresponding oid name can be different but not in 5.x. Please correct me if that is not the case. -
RunTime error while running Cryptotools
Hi all,
I am getting error while running the Cryptotools.exe from the command Prompt.
cryptotools credstore -add -infile <OracleBIData>/web/config/credentialstore.xml
Credential Alias: impersonation
Username: Impersonator
Password: secret
Do you want to encrypt the password? y/n (y):
Passphrase for encryption: another_secret
Do you want to write the passphrase to the xml? y/n (n):when i try to put y or n in last line.
there is one runtime error i m getting "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
any help in this regardSounds like some DLLs might be corrupt or not the correct versions. You only need Cryptotools.exe to generate the credentialstore file. So you could generate it on another server/PC and then copy it across to the server where you have issues with cryptotools.

Error while running ejbc. Fatal error from EJB Compiler ---- Error while pr
Hi!
I was deploying a test application for a session bean with sun 1 studio 5 and I started getting this message while deploying.
I had tested the bean previously and I had no problems.
I found this in the sun app server 7 release notes, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to do...
"Deployment of CMP beans fails.
The following error is thrown because there are no <query-params> entries in the container-managed persistence (CMP) bean in sun-ejb-jar.xml file:
Error while running ejbc. Fatal error from EJB Compiler ---- Error while processing CMP beans.
Solution
Even if it isn't necessary for the CMP beans, add the query-params tag for finders in the sun-ejb-jar.xml file with the empty parameters."
Here is my sun-ejb-jar.xml file:

Please go to the above docs and look thru the examples given in it.
Example 2
This query returns all products in a specified price range. It defines two query parameters which are the lower and upper bound for the price: double low, double high. The filter compares the query parameters with the price field:
"low < price && price < high"
The finder element of the sun-ejb-jar.xml file would look like this:
<finder>
<method-name>findInRange</method-name>
<query-params>double low, double high</query-params>
<query-filter>low < price && price <
high</query-filter
</finder>
I hope this hepls. In your case u just have to make it null. -
