Hi All
I configured the OBIEE with EPM Workspace Connection settings where both Hyperion Workspace and OBIEE are installed in single windows server and it registered with Workspace successfully. I know the 'Source File Path' as "C:\Hyperion\common\config\9.5.0.0\reg.properties", if both Hyperion workspace and OBIEE installed on the same box
However I have Hyperion and OBIEE installed on 2 different boxes, so what is the 'Source File Path' value (how to call Hyperion Server path reg.properties) to be entered in OBIEE->Administration->Manage EPM Workspace Connection screen where OBIEE installed and running.
appreciate if anyone provide pointer to the value to entered in the 'Source File Path' field.
Thanks
Seth

  • IE10 Compatibility with EPM workspace 11.1.2.2

    Hi,
    We are upgrading our browser from IExplore 8 to IExplore 10,Could any one please suggest does the EPM 11.1.2.2 Workspace supports IE 10.
    We are using EPM workspace for IR Reporting, also please confirm about IR Web Client Compatibility.
    Thanks,
    Giridhar

    Hi KK,
    Does it mean the current EPM 11.1.2.2 will work fine on I Explore 10 and we need to apply patch 11.1.2.2.500 to make Workspace/Brio to work on IE 10.
    11.1.2.2
    x64
    Microsoft Windows
    Windows 7 (all SP levels included)
    Windows 8
    Internet Explorer 10.x
    Firefox 10+
    Firefox 24+ ESR
    - Internet Explorer 10.x is supported only in 11.1.2.2.500, and only with Windows 7 and Windows 8.

    Hi Kuba
    I guess you are getting this error in Linux Env and not Windows. Basically SOA/BPM opens lots of files (JARs and WARs) and I guess it do not close them properly. The root cause for your error is something else. Here is the fix. This should work.
    Login into the linux machine with the root user privileges. Or ask the person who have root privileges to do this. Basically you have to increase the open file limits to much bigger number like 8192.
    To change the open file limits, login as root and edit the /etc/security/limits.conf file. If the following lines are already there, just change the number to 8192. Otherwise add below 2 lines exactly. Means for all the users on this OS, the nofiles is set to 8192, instead of single user.
    * hard nofile 8192
    * soft nofile 8192
    after this, make sure to RESTART the Linux box. Otherwise changes will not get reflected.
    Login into unix box from any client and run this command and it should return 8192
    ulimit -n
    Then start the soa server and you should be all set. Let me know if this fixes your issue (I am hoping it should).
    Thanks

  • Integration with Siebel is failing

    Hi All,
    Siebel is not able to create integration object, while consuming WSDL generated by our BPEL Process.
    We have EBMs in WSDL. EBM is referring other schema like meta.xsd etc.
    Can any one help in this regards.
    I am using Siebel 8.1
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Vikky,
    Make sure that your BPEL wsdl has only one schema element.
    If you have many imports with each in one schema element ...modify them and put all in one schema element.
    And another thing is your request XSD should in same folder where you are placing BPEL WSDL.

  • OWSM Integration with Service Registry- Failing

    Hi All,
    I am trying to import a service published on service registry in OWSM and then trying to test the gateway from OWSM->Tool->TestPage. But I am getting the following error after running the test which is as follows:-
    ORABPEL-08021 Cannot find partner wsdl. parnterLink "ManageInventoryService" is not found in process "ManageInventoryService" (revision "1.0") Please check the deployment descriptor of the process to find the correct partnerLink name.
    I am also pasting the original service wsdl code below:-
    <definitions
    name="ManageInventoryService"
    targetNamespace="http://www.cognizant.com/ManageInventoryService"
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
    xmlns:ns1="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"
    xmlns:plnk="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/"
    xmlns:client="http://www.cognizant.com/ManageInventoryService"
    >
    <import namespace="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension" location="RuntimeFault.wsdl"/>
    <types>
    <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <import namespace="http://www.cognizant.com/ManageInventoryService" schemaLocation="ManageInventoryService.xsd"/>
    </schema>
    </types>
    <message name="ManageInventoryServiceRequestMessage">
    <part name="payload" element="client:ManageInventoryServiceProcessRequest"/>
    </message>
    <message name="ManageInventoryServiceResponseMessage">
    <part name="payload" element="client:ManageInventoryServiceProcessResponse"/>
    </message>
    <portType name="ManageInventoryService">
    <operation name="initiate">
    <input message="client:ManageInventoryServiceRequestMessage"/>
    </operation>
    </portType>
    <portType name="ManageInventoryServiceCallback">
    <operation name="onResult">
    <input message="client:ManageInventoryServiceResponseMessage"/>
    </operation>
    </portType>
    <plnk:partnerLinkType name="ManageInventoryService">
    <plnk:role name="ManageInventoryServiceProvider">
    <plnk:portType name="client:ManageInventoryService"/>
    </plnk:role>
    <plnk:role name="ManageInventoryServiceRequester">
    <plnk:portType name="client:ManageInventoryServiceCallback"/>
    </plnk:role>
    </plnk:partnerLinkType>
    </definitions>
    However when I am trying a dynamic look-up from BPEL on the above service published on service registry it's working fine and returning the expected response.
    Please let me know where am I going wrong?It's little urgent and any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Chintan, I think the problem is the needed patch 6133448. I have MLR#9 deployed but I think it does not include 6133448 and I can't install 6133448 as it conflict with MLR#9.
    I will check with Oracle.
    Thanks

  • Problems with EPM 11.1 installation

    Hi,
    I started the new installation of EPM 11.1 verion on my laptop with below products.
    - shared services
    - epm architect
    - worksapce
    - hfm
    - reporting & analysis (financial reporting & web analysis)
    I configured above components and see no major issues either from the EMP configurator panel or from logs. At the end of the process, I can log into shared services and workspace. However, from workspace, I cannot see HFM application from navigation as that in 9.3.1 version. I then tried to re-install those products and tried to configure a couple of times (actually more then 5 times). Even worse, cannot log into workspace (I encountered error msgs like auth_cssexception or gsm cannot acquire lsm).
    FYI. Everytime I configured all components, I could successully log into shared services and see those products sitting under //project/foundation/shared services/epm system registry; however, in //project/foundation/shared services/registration, i have only shared service under applications folder and HUB-9.5.0 under products folder.
    Is there anything I did wrong or I missed? Please help. Many thanks.

    Hi, got the problem solved after running EPM system configuration as below suggestion from installation guide.
    Can open HFM application from workspace now.
    If you have already configured Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Workspace, Fusion
    Edition and you deploy any additional products that are in EPM Workspace, you must run EPM
    System Configurator again and select the EPM Workspace “Configure Web Server” task. In this
    release, the following products and components are integrated in EPM Workspace:
    ● Reporting and Analysis
    ● Oracle Hyperion Planning, Fusion Edition
    ● Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Fusion Edition
    ● Oracle Hyperion EPM Architect, Fusion Edition
    ● Oracle Hyperion Performance Scorecard, Fusion Edition
    ● Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management, Fusion Edition
    ● Hyperion Calculation Manager

    Can anybody help me on this.
    TIA

    Just out of interest why have you used OAS as it is pretty much dead product now and is not used in future releases.
    Anyway I am not sure why you have closed ports between those servers, you will end up spending a lot of time trying to open all the required ports between the servers.
    Can you not get all the ports open for a time just to check it definitely is a ports issue.
    It is probably also worth checking the following spreadsheet out - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/epm-components-communications-fd-11-128629.xls
    It highlights the ports used in communication.
    Cheers

  • PS integration with Microsoft EPM

    Hi,
    My company is in the midst of integrating PS with Microsoft EPM solutions.
    Is there anyone out there has experience in performing this integration?
    We would like to hear your story and opinion as we don't have much experience on the integration part.
    Would like to know whether the integration will work both ways between PS-EPM or it should only be done from PS-EPM only.
    Appreciate your reply
    Fadhil.

    Hi Fadhil,
    When trying to integrated SAP PS with EPM, i would advise an off the shelf product rather that developing a bespoke solution. TPG's PSLink is the world leading integration tool in this area, is SAP certified and offered bidirectional interfacing of data.
    Regards,
    Peter

    Any clues about this..
    How to add HTTP header on top of the response..
    Thanks,
    Azeem.

    We have this working at our organization and my guess is that this is related to either a missing routing or having no security set on the service operation. We are only exploring this in test but we have the ESB set up as node in Peoplesoft. There is then routing defined from that node to financials. On the service operation we have attached the role PTPT1200. I am sure this is not best practice but we are currently only testing.
    If you want to attach headers for authentication/authorization I am sure it is defined in the documentation although I don't have the link in front of me.

  • Re: OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 integration with Hyperion shared services 11.1.1.3

    I am working on OBIEE authentication using hyperion shared services. To achieve this I did the following steps,
    1) Registered the shared services in Answers using 'Manage EPM workspace'
    2)Modified config.xml to enable HSSauthenticator
    3)Modified instanceconfig.xml by adding external auth tags
    4)In rpd created a init block using custom authenticator.
    When I login into Answers using a username and password from hyperion shared services, it is saying invalid username/password.
    Log file says ' xxxxxx authentication failed in repository star, Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW)'
    Can some one explain me if I am missing anything here?? Is there anyone who has successfully implemented this before.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Sandeep,
    I am fairly certain that this integration actually works in the other direction.
    That is from the Oracle Hyperion Workspace portal you need to log in and once you are in Workspace from the file menu an option for "Oracle Interactive Dashboards" should be available if all is configured correctly with the integration. That link will open up OBIEE and take the user directly into the dashboards without having to get prompted by the OBIEE login screen.
    If you have the BIC2Go image (Dan Vlamis' team, vlamis.com) for Oracle BI 10g you can see this integration's configuration and see it working correctly.
    I hope that helps

  • OIM Integration with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)

    Hello friends
    I have a question about the integration of Oracle Identity Manager with Active Directory which is federated with another external directory for ADFS. My question is:
    What considerations should be to contemplate if I have an active directory federated environment when carrying out the integration with Identity Manager?
    I use version 9.1.0.2 of Oracle Identity Manager with Microsoft Active Directory Connector User Management 9.1.1.7
    Thanks for the support.

    First consideration is that the OIM's target ADFS - in the federated scenario, will that participate as a Service provider or identity provider. I would think identity provider.
    Next consideration: What all attributes are required to be played in the SAML assertion to the other end-point? All these attributes must be present and should be provisioned to the AD in this case.
    So, OIM should be set up (UDF etc) to provision all those attributes needed in the SAML.
    Next consideration: What all scenario to support? IdP initiated or SP initiated? If SP initiated, then process will hv to be defined if a user id does not exist in the AD of the OIM target. Will the request be failed or a in-time provisioning should happen.
    Hope this helps.
