OBIA Financials - General ledger

Hi
We had a new Obia installed in our environment, I am unable to see the reports when I open the General ledger Dashboard, It is giving the below error.
     No Results
     The specified criteria didn't result in any data. This is often caused by applying filters and/or selections that are too restrictive or that contain incorrect values. Please check your Analysis Filters and try again. The filters currently being applied are shown below.
But when I remove a filter named Trailing Four Fiscal Quarters it is showing some data.
So Please help me what is this Trailing Four Fiscal Quarters filter and what should I do to get some data displayed on to the dashboard.

You need to build the EP in DAC for Financials Modules by modifying the data in csv files under srcfiles with respect to source data/instance which you want to use. Make sure that the Fact tables are loaded inorder to see the data in reports for the Fiscal years which you want to see the data.You need to do a Full Load inorder to have complete data available in reports.
You can follow the guide http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E20490_01/bia.7963/e19039.pdf from section "5.2 Configuration Required Before a Full Load for Financial Analytics" for running teh full load.
Mark as helpful or correct, if it helps
Thanks,
RM

    Hello All,
    What is the difference between subject areas, Financials General Ledger and Financials General Ledger US Federal in Universal Container which is in DAC.
    Thanks

    Universal Container is intended to integrate NON-ORACLE External systems to the OBIA DW. So based on your source data use either one.

  • Load of EBS Supply Chain data deletes data for General Ledger

    Hi,
    we are trying to load data from EBS 11.5.10 to BIAPPS 7.9.6. We have loaded data to Financials Subject Areas (Budget, Financials - COGS, Financials - General Ledger, Financials - Payables, Financials - Receivables) using pre-defined execution plan Financials_Oracle 11.5.10 and data has been successfuly loaded and shown on dashboards.
    Later we have loaded data into Supply Chain Subject Areas (Employee Expenses, Financials - Payables, Supply Chain - AP Invoices, Supply Chain - Purchase Cycle Lines, Supply Chain - Purchase Order, Purchase Receipt, Purchase Requisitions) using pre-defined execution plan Procurement and Spend: Oracle 11.5.10. After this load data are visible on Procurement and Spend dashboards but previously loaded data on Financials - General Ledger dashboards are missing.
    So we have loaded data to Financials again which brought Financials data back to dashboards but data for Procurement and spend disappeared.
    We have also trying to load all data using Complete Oracle 11.5.10 execution plan. After this load most of the dashboards for Financials and Procurement and spend are empty.
    And finally we have created our own execution plans for Financials, Supply Chain and both and tried the same scenario. The results are the same. It seems to me that load of Financials data deletes Supply Chain data and vice versa.
    Can somebody advice how to load data for Financials and Supply Chain together?
    Thanks a lot, Petr

    I have to add new info: the all data are back and visible after the night. We didn't perform any actions. Does anybody know about some settings which can cause such behaviour?
    Many thanks,
    Petr

  • Finance General Ledger dashboards data is missing.

    Hi,
    I have noticed a strange behaviour related to data loads and data visibility through the Financials Analytics dashboards.
    Let me please begin with an empty target schema.
    I run the first load having the General Ledger subject area (Full Load=Y). When it's successfully completed, I can see data in most of the tabs of the GL dashboard. In the Profitability dashboard, I can see P&L statement with data.
    However, when I run further loads for other subject areas like - paybales, receivables, revenue, cost of goods sold, supply chain, etc., I see, gradually, empty GL dashboard across its tabs. I can not see the P&L statement with data, too.
    I take an export of the schema at the end of each load and create a log for each of the export. I compare the logs and can conclude that there is no loss of data (W_GL_OTHER_F) because of, may be, the next loads that I usually do. There is no data in W_TAX_XACT_F from the first load. I notice that due to the next loads more tables are populated with data or the tables with the data have more rows. So, there is no reduced number of rows in the tables because of the next loads.
    When I 'modify' the reports in BI Answers by removing all the filters, I see no data, there, too.
    Does anyone have an idea what the is the issue here? Am I looking at the right database tables?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks and regards,
    Manoj.

    Hi,
    Adding an input to my message.
    I created the same target schema in a different database and imported the first dump (GL subject area, full load = Y) into this. I am now pointing to this schema via the ODBC datasource on the BI Server server. It shows me all data in all the tabs of the GL dashboard and also, I can see the P&L statement in the Profitability dashboard, too.
    So, after the first load, I can see the data in GL dashboard tabs and the P&L statement but once more subject areas are loaded, then the GL data and P&L statement disappears. My issue still remains.

  • Purchase ledger and General Ledger account codes

    I am looking for information about how Oracle Financials works in respect of "codes" if that is what they are called within the Module. I am an accountant as well as a developer, and I have equivalent information about a number of other accounting packages. Readers may need to translate some of my terminology into Oracle equivalent language.
    1. My expectation is that the purchase ledger transaction table has some sort of a "purchase ledger account code" column that is used for joins to the purchase ledger master table. If that is so, what sort of values are in that column or its equivalent? Are they values that are codes or original codes? Put another way, what sort of values are there in whatever column is used for joins to the master table?
    2. I have equivalent expectations in respect of the General ledger. What sorts of values are in whatever transaction table column is used for joins to the general ledger master table? Are these general ledger account codes?
    My interest is in how the applications process change, such as a change in the name of a supplier or the inclusion of a general ledger account where there does not seem to be space for one in the chart of accounts. My next enquiries will depend on the answers to these ones.

  • General Ledger tables

    Hi,
    Journal Entry data is stored in tables OJDT and JDT1.
    I want to know in which table SBO stores the General Ledger data.
    Thanks in advance.
    Satish Dwevedi

    Satish,
    The OJDT and JDT1 ARE the General Ledger Entries that are entered into SAP Business One and then posted.  Business One does not have a batch processing function where you enter a bunch of entries, GL in this case and then post.  Actually that is not 100% correct as the only batch entry processing is in the Finance section of Business One and that is Journal Vouchers, BUT for what I believe that you are asking for, when you choose Financials > Journal Entry and then click Add, these are the "posted" Journal Entries.
    Hope that Helps,

  • Offset account name for BP is missing in the general ledger report

    Hi all,
    while taking the ledger report of a cash account through General ledger report in the financials ,it is not showing the Business partner name ,it is only displaying the code.
    Regards,
    naresh k

    Hello,
    I am trying to get the "Offset Account Name" to print in the paper report. For the "on-screen" report it is displayed and can be toggled in the form settings, but this has no impact on the printable reports. I have looked all over trying to figure out an easy way to just add the data into the report, but for the built-in Crystal report, all the items come from the "PLD_Items" database. PLD_Items F_120 is the field for the Offset Account Code, but I don't know which one it is, if it's even there, for the description field.
    Short of writing an entirely new report, is there a way to add this field?
    Thank you.

  • General Ledger Security

    Is there a way to specify that a user can only run reports for a General Ledger account segment, such as a division?
    Thank you,
    Sal

    you may mark such G/L's as confidential.
    you can do this by
    Financials -> Chart of Accounts. Select the appropriate G/L, on the left side check the 'Confidential' Check box.
    Once done, Users without proper permissions are not authorized to use these accounts or to view their activities in the system.

  • Could APEX be used for development of a General Ledger system?

    Hi All,
    I am interested in developing a "light" web-based erp system for small sized companies for a vertical market. This system should be composed of General Ledger, Inventory & Payables functional areas. I just want to know if APEX could be used for developing applications of this kind. Do you believe that APEX is a mature platform in order ro be useful for development of complex applications? I'm very impressed by this platform but I do not have the necessary experience in order to decide if I could use APEX for more complex and demanding apps.
    Thank you very much,
    George Papageorgiou

    Technically speaking Apex can handle anything other frameworks..etc can do. I think your target market will determine whether Apex is the correct choice or not.
    Larger companies will want to go with an established ERP system like Oracle Financials, SAP, Costpoint..etc. So if you are aiming at a mid to small sized company, they may have a much smaller budget for such a system. If you are planning to make it a SAAS and host the solution yourself, I think Apex would be a good fit. If you are planning on selling the software for a local installation at the customer site, it may not be the best fit due to its coupling with the Oracle database. Personally I wouldn't want to put my entire financial set of data on someone else's server, but thats just me.
    In my own opinion, a good ERP or 3rd party COTS product does not dictate to you which database you need to use, but instead supports multiple. Apex lives inside the Oracle database, so your customers have to run Oracle. For larger shops, it is not an issue, but for smaller shops, they may want to use mysql or something similar. Now people here will say "But Oracle XE is free!". This is true, but it is also almost 6 years old, completely unsupported by Oracle, and not patched. So I wouldn't stake my entire success on it.
    So again it really will depend who you are going after, whether you will host the solution, and whether you think the cost/skill level of Oracle will be a barrier to your customers.

  • Modifying General Ledger

    Hi all.
    Can you tell me about modify information of General Ledger, because i wanna delete one of information i posted mistake.
    Thank you!

    hi Le,
    You can delete G/L account code what you created ?
    solution:-
    1. Reverse relevant G/L account code thru transaction/journal entry.
    2.Go to Financials>Chart of accounts>Select required G/L
    account code>Click Open Account Details>Tick Active
    and enter from date and to date.
    You can not create a journal entry hereafter.
    3.Create a new G/L account code in Asset,Liablities,Equity etc as you required.
    Hope above answer will solve your problem.

  • Business One C# DI API's for General Ledger Report?

    I am working on the General Ledger Report and unable to find the DI API's for C# for the following cases. If somebody can point me the API's, that would be really helpful. I have handle to the logged in company.
    Get all ChartOfAccounts
    Get AccountSegmentations
    Get BusinessPartners
    Get JournalEntries_lines
    I am new to SAP. The documentation is bit unclear. I am using the following code to load the objects. Now it is unclear how to loop through the journalvouchers to load all the lines one by one.
    SAPbobsCOM.AccountSegmentations segmentations =  oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oAccountSegmentations);
                SAPbobsCOM.AccountSegmentationCategories categories = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oAccountSegmentationCategories);
                SAPbobsCOM.BusinessPartners partners = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oBusinessPartners);
                SAPbobsCOM.JournalVouchers vouchers = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oJournalVouchers);
                SAPbobsCOM.JournalEntries jEntries = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oJournalEntries);
                SAPbobsCOM.JournalEntries_Lines jLines;

    Hi,
    Are you trying to run the report via code?  If so, you can only do that using the UI objects as there is not DIAPI for reporting.
    You first need to activate the menu item for the report:
    connect.SboApp.ActivateMenuItem("13058");
    Once you've done that, you can get the active form which will be your criteria window, use the UIAPI to set your criteria and run the report by getting the OK button object and calling the Click method.

  • General Ledger Accounting (New): Line Items 0FIGL_O14  Performace issue

    Dear Forum,
    We are facing a performance issue while loading the data to 0FIGL_O14 General Ledger Accounting (New): Line Items from  CUBE ZMMPRC01 -> ODSO 0FIGL_O14 DSO.
    Please see my requirement below for updating the data to 0FIGL_O14 DSO.
    This report is generated to display Dry Dock and Running Repair expenses for the particular Purchase orders with respective G/L's.
    1) The G/L DSO will provide us the 0DEBIT_LC and    0DEB_CRE_DC Foreign currency amount with signs (+/-) amounts and.
    2) ZMMPRC01 Cube   will provide us the 0ORDER_VALUE  (Purchse order value)and    0INVCD_AMNT Invoice  amount.
    While we are loading the data from  CUBE ZMMPRC01 -> ODSO 0FIGL_O14 DSO ,we have created nearly 19 InfoObject  level routine to derive the below mentioned fields data for MM Purchase Order related records.
    0CHRT_ACCTS    Chart of accounts
    0ITEM_NUM      Number of line item within accounting documen
    0AC_DOC_NO     Accounting document number
    0GL_ACCOUNT    G/L Account
    0COMP_CODE     Company code
    0COSTCENTER    Cost Center
    0CO_AREA       Controlling area
    0COSTELMNT     Cost Element
    0SEGMENT       Segment for Segmental Reporting
    0BUS_AREA      Business area
    0FUNC_AREA     Functional area
    0AC_DOC_NR     Document Number (General Ledger View)
    0AC_DOC_TYP    Document type
    0POST_KEY      Posting key
    0PSTNG_DATE    Posting date in the document
    0DOC_CURRCY    Document currency
    0LOC_CURTP2    Currency Type of Second Local Currency
    0CALQUART1     Quarter
    0CALYEAR       Calendar year
    For reference Please see the below logic to derive the data for PO related record.

                          into wa_figl
                          where DOC_NUM = SOURCE_FIELDS-DOC_NUM and
                                DOC_ITEM = SOURCE_FIELDS-DOC_ITEM and
                                /BIC/Z_PCODE = SOURCE_FIELDS-/BIC/Z_PCODE

                                FISCYEAR = SOURCE_FIELDS-FISCYEAR.
        if sy-subrc = 0.
          RESULT = wa_figl-AC_DOC_NO.
        ENDIF.
        clear wa_figl.
    Please note the same kind of logic is applied for all the above mentioned fields.
    Here is my concerns and issue.
    For the all above all routines i am referring BI0/AFIGL_O1400
    DSO and finally loading to the Same DSO(BI0/AFIGL_O1400
    The worried part is my DSO  0FIGL_O1400 is currecnly having nearly 60 Lacks records and MM cube is having nearly 55 requests which are required to update to the Above DSO for PO related PO value and Invoice amount.
    The big issue here is while uploading data from MM cube to DSO say for example if the request is having  25,000 records from this  nearly 500-600 records will be updated to DSO.
    But here it is taking huge time ( nearly 3 days for request ) for updating  these records , like this i have to pull 50 more requests from Cube to DSO as per the requirement.
    Please note as of now i haven't created any indexes on DSO to improve this loads.
    Please note am facing this issue in Production environment and need your help ASAP.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srinivas Padugula

    Hi,
    If selecting data from 0FIGL_O14 is taking long time then you can create secondary indexes on DSO.
    0FIGL_O14 would be huge as data volume directly corresponds to data volume in BSEG.
    But for you requirement, I think what you can do is,
    1. create multiprovider on top of DSO and Cube and create Bex report to give you the fields requried from both the infoproviders, you can then use open hub or APD approach to keep the data in the staging table or direct update DSO and then load the data to the DSO
    2. Create secondary indexes on DSO so that fetching would be faster.
    3. Do the enhancment at R/3 level to fetch fields from MM during load of G/L

    Pravin Karkhanis.
