Obiee Dashboard Filters in two different lines of Journals

Hi,
Could anyone please suggest to resolve the following issues in obiee 10g;
My report contains fileds called " Date", "Credit Amount", Debit Amount", "Account Number", " Line Number"; Now, if we have a "Credit Amount" (Say R50) for the date 01-12-2011 which is same as the "Debit Amount" (same R50) but in another date say 10-12-2011. Since the debit and credit amount is the same i dont want to see these records in the report while displaying it on the dashboard. I am not sure how we can check the debit and credit amount (for the equality) with different dates which comes in different rows.
Plz suggest.

PS : Query performance will degrade because of inner query

  • Two different invoices created for  one order for two different lines

    Hi All,
    I have an order with four line items that was shipped on the same day, invoiced on the same day and all lines have the same delivery number yet two inovices were created for this order..one for the first three lines and one for the last line.
    Can anyone please explain what can cause this to happen?

    Hi Asgar,
    If a single order has been split into two invoices, you should check the values of the mandatory columns. During Autoinvoice, the grouping is based on the madatory columns and also your grouping rules. If any of the mandatory column has a different value, it will split into different invoice.

  • When dialing out I sent the same cid from the two different lines on PAP2

    Hello, I'm using a PAP2 adapter on my phone system. When I dial out from line 1 I sent the phone number or callerd ID from line one. When I dial out from line two which is a different number, I'm still sending out the same phone number as that of line one yet, when I call in to each indivial number, line 1as well as line 2 they each ring serparetly and individualy. I wonder if I have missed a step in the setup. Anyone nows how to fix this or where I can get the info needed.

    I don't believe that there is any network address binding.  The UDP Open VI determines which network card you are using and the UDP read function determines which IP address you pull the data from.  Since you are specifying all of the parameters, it should not carry over after you close a session.  There may be a wait required for the connections to reset.  Are you doing this programmatically, or are you stopping and restarting your VI?  Can you send a screen shot of both of your UDP connections on your block diagram?

  • A periodic fast signal to put out randomly to two different lines

    thank you so patient to answer me so fragmentary question.
    What I want is a two random fast digital output.However,two of outputs is related. superpose them will produce a periodic fast singal.In other words,when the line 1 put out "1",the line 2 put out "0".But when to put out "1" or "0" is random.
    I have studied 6602 manual and the examples in Help menu.But I can not find way to do that.In DIO context,the digital I/O is static(In my view,it can not put out fast signal.What is the max frequency o f it?);and in counter context,pulse generation only put out a periodic signal.So I don't know how to do it.

    I am a little confused with your question. On the NI-6602, you are correct in stating the digital lines are static (writing/reading to digital lines is controlled by software). Therefore, the speed of writing/reading to/from the digital lines will by system dependent.
    It seems to me as if you want two pulse trains to start at the same time but be inverted. You could program the counters to share a start trigger and have one counter start at a digital low and the other counter to start at a digital high. This would produce two pulse trains that would be synchronized and inverted. I hope this helps.

    Yes,
    Add the write effect to your clip, set keyframes and colour it the outer colour.
    Copy clip and paste it in track 2 on top of original.
    Change colour of 2nd clip and make the brush size smaller and change Paint Style to On Transparant and add some brush spacing if you like.

    Can we have two different line items in the sale order by which one item is relevant for billing  F2 and the second line item is relevant for pro forma invoice F5.  And also, I want to use second line item as consignment item so that when customer uses that material we can send him a bill with reference to pro-forma invoice no.

    Yes, You can use two different line items in the sale order by which one item is relevant for billing F2 and the second line item is relevant for pro forma invoice F5 for any specific customer and Material Combination.
    All you need to do is,
    1. Maintain Customer Material Info Record (CMIR) in VD51
    2. Specify your Customer No, SO, DC and Material.
    3. Double click on your material and Create a new USAGE(Tcode-0VVW) and assign it to USAGE field under Control Section.
    4. Then Determine the Consignment item category in VOV4, using the above Specified USAGE field.
    For example if you created New USAGE field as "DEMO", assign DEMO to USAGE field under Control Section and
    Determine the Consignment item category KBN as follows:
    Document type(OR) + Item Category Group (Norm) + USAGE (Demo) + Higher level item category(Blank) = Item Category (KBN)

  • Different Calling Plans on Different Lines?

    I've just changed the Calling Plan on my main phone line to Unlimited Evenings and Weekends, but I notice this seems to have also changed the Calling Plan on my second phone line to the same plan.
    This is definitely not what I want because the second line is never used for outgoing calls. I need the second line to remain on Unlimited Weekend.
    Surely it must be possible to have different Calling Plans on different phone lines?

    Just to follow-up on this - I spoke to a customer service advisor, and apparently it is not possible to have different calling plans for the two different lines. The same calling plan is applied to both lines, BUT only one additional charge is made to cover both lines.
    So to have both lines on "Unlimited Evening and Weekend" only costs an extra £3.15 per month.
    So problem solved :-)

  • How to enter invoice with two different tax codes in one line?

    Dear friends,
    I have this PO for which I enter the invoice.
    I recieve later a subsequent debit for this PO from the transporter. This subsequent invoice has got extra debits, one with 21% VAT and one with 19% VAT, which means two items with two different tax codes.
    I want to enter this subsequent debit for each item of the PO, and I want to enter both debits in every item of the PO.
    How can I enter in one row in MIRO a debit with two different tax codes.

    It is a subsequent debit and it has two items with two different tax codes. I want to enter the subsequent debit for a PO with many items and enter the value of the whole subsequent invoice. So there is the need to enter one line item with two tax codes.

  • Is there a way to apply different dimension filters to two measures

    Let's say I have a report that goes something like below:
    TIME DOLLARS FORECAST DOLLARS
    JAN 99999 99999
    FEB 99999 99999
    MAR 99999 99999
    APR 99999 99999
    MAY 99999 99999
    DEC 99999 99999
    What I would like to achieve is this:
    TIME DOLLARS FORECAST DOLLARS
    JAN 99999
    FEB 99999
    MAR 99999
    APR 99999
    MAY 99999
    DEC 99999
    i.e. DOLLARS displayed only for first two months (or whatever. May be because the report is being run in March). And for rest of the year I display forecast.
    Please note that I do not want to achieve the above with the help of "formatting".
    What I am looking for is "an ability to apply two separate filters (for the same dimension) on two different measures in the report". i.e. in the above case DOLLARS has a filter of JAN to FEB; and FORECAST has a filter of MAR to DEC.
    How can I do this in Discoverer? Any hint/ pointers are greatly appreciated.

    Hey there.
    I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say you don't want to achieve with help of formatting.
    See if this suggestion makes sense - and doesn't fall into that formatting camp.
    The only way to add a column in Discoverer is via calculations.
    So if you have a column called dollars and one called forecast_dollars then I would think you'd want to determine the month of the run date - or ask user what month they want to run it for.
    You don't say how you determine forecast_dollars but let's just say all the columns come from data.
    So could you not have a condition that brings back the data for a date range (ie: current year or ask user for from / to dates). Then:
    calc_dollars calculation: equals the dollar amount brought back from the query if record month <= current month else 0.
    calc_forecast_dollars calculation: equals the dollar amount brought back from the query if record month > current month else 0.
    So in practice:
    table A has 3 columns: time, dollars, forecast_dollars
    condition: where time between from_date_parameter and to_date_parameter
    calc_dollars: SUM(case when time <= SYSDATE then dollars else 0 end)
    calc_forecast_dollars: SUM(case when time > SYSDATE then forecast_dollars else 0 end)
    That gets you a time column, a dollars columns and a forecast_dollars column.
    In your example, it appears you want forecast_dollars in the same column. I'm assuming this is incorrect but if you wanted it, you'd just have one calculation such as:
    calc_bucks: (case when time <= SYSDATE then dollars else forecast_dollars end)
    So, is this the kind of thing you want or would this be more formatting?

    You should maintain the InfoObejcts (Charecteristcis) in both DSO's other wise it will disiplay # in reports.
    1. While loading the data to DSO's use LOOKUPs in transformations and load teh full fledged data to DSO-2, (in sequence if it will come in second place.)
    2. Check with InfoSet Innrr/Outer Joins option.
    Else use FM based on both DSO's  and cretae DataSourcea nd load the data to another DSO/Cube and build report on that.

    I have problem with create analysis from two different areas with two different models (Model Star and Snowflakes) build in BI Admin tools.
    First Model A = Subject Area A have one fact tables (with measures) and three dimensions tables (Model Star)
    Second Model B = Subject Area B have one fact table (no measures) and five dimensions tables (Model Snowflakes).
    I'm looking solutions how I can give good results. In this case I can't use UNION, INTERSECT etc., because this models haven't the same number column and data type?
    whether it is possible to do in OBIEE?

    Hi
    One thing to understand is that if your are imagining having two Subject Areas (SAs) displayed and then dragging columns from each into your Request without any preparation, then no, that can't be done. You would need to do a join in the BMM layer and expose the column from the second Subject Area in the presentation layer.
    But if you indeed interested in UNION (or intersect) queries, then do this:
    Build your first query in the first SA in the usual manner. Note the number of columns and the data types of each column.
    Now at the bottom of the Criteria workspace, there is a button called "Combine with similar request." Click it.
    Select your second SA. You will note that the outlines of the columns in your first query appear. This is to remind you that the number of columns in this second query must be the same as in the first. It also shows the data type of each column for the same reason.
    Once you select your columns and your filters, click on result. (Oh, you will also need to decide what kind of combination you want -- click on the dropdown.) The result will be a new Request that has data from both SAs in the query and combined in the manner you select (union, intersect, etc.)
    That should give you a start.

  • OBIEE Dashboards are not visible properly in firefox

    We are trying to open our obiee dashboards in fireworx. But it didnot work properly. we are using firefox 3.0 and 2.0 version but they didnot workfor us.
    Any changes needs to be done in brower or in obiee. We are using java code in some reports also is it causing any problem. How to over come this.

    I've noticed the same thing when I tried to throw in some custom javascript code into OBIEE. It worked fine in IE but failed in Mozilla.
    I could only assume that there are certain CSS properties in the OBIEE CSS files that Firefox is actual observing that IE fails to as well.
    What exactly is your script supposed to be doing? What is it actual doing?
    Mine was supposed to float a pivot table header line down the page, but instead, Mozilla glued the header to the bottom of the page. I'm not super CSS savvy, but my guess is there are some DIVs in the Dashboard page that are pushing my object to the bottom of the page.
    Ultimately, I'd recommend you do two things:
    1) Contact your Oracle Rep and see if you can provide you detailed documentation of all the CSS files
    2) If you can't get detailed documentation (or even if you do and it's difficult to wade through), then you may have to breakdown and dig through the CSS code yourself.
    If you do find anything out, please share. I plan on doing the same when I get some free time.
