Object id assignment to attribute

Hi
I have to add new attributes to oid. From doc. I understand that we first need to attributes and then create an auxiliary object and add attributes to that. I am trying create atribute thru oidadmin and want to know what should be the object id value that should be give? Is there any guideline in assigning the object id??

The guideline for the object id is that it has to be unique across the OID schema elements. The theory would be that you'll go to IANA and ask to assign an object identifier (range) to you / your company. If you want to save money you can omit this step.

Quick eyeball and couldn't see the cause in the user account so used the script here:

Did you talk about the Microsoft Azure Active Directory Sync tool ?
If yes, this issue occurs if one or more of the following conditions are true:
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has an SMTP address that's the same as the SMTP address of the object that's reporting the problem.
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has a mail attribute that's identical to the object that's reporting the problem.
An object already exists in your organizational account and has the same SMTP address or mail attribute as the object in the on-premises Active Directory

First of all:
The displayed account code must be translated into the internally used code ("_SYS...") when using segmentation - when not using segemntation it is just internal code = displayed code.
The code displayed is just a sample to give you a hint in case you are already familiar with the SAP Business One application.
Therefore the sample code does not talk about where you got e.g. the value for FormatCode from ("FormatCode" is e.g. a field in table OACT where the account name with segments is (redundantly) stored without separators).
The user should know on which account he/she wants to book a line on; maybe you might want to give some help to the user by displaying a dialog with suitable - or preselected accounts?
In addition I am sure you know how to assign a string value to a string property - without explicitly writing it, right?

Overwrite Object Instance or all Attributes of it

Hello,
i have an question regarding ABAP OO,
i like to do following:
1) i like to give the reference me into a attribute of an local object.
2) edit attributes of this object
3) overwrite attributes of me with changed on of the atrribute of the local attribute
Step 1 and 2 is no problem,
but when i tried it like this.
me = lo_test->test.
i get the message that "me" is not overwriteable,
sure i can make it by every attribute of my class:
me->test1 = lo_test->test->test1.
me->test2 = lo_test->test->test2.
but i want a dynamic why to overwrite all attributes.

Hi Marcus!
'me' (or 'lo_test') are pointer to an object. In case of attributes handling looks similar to a structure with their fields, but you discover the main difference: the structure name is just the head for all components - but 'me' is not a pointer to a (structured) field string.
You have to handle the attribute level (or make your assignments in a method). Maybe you can get a more dynamic access by using one structure with all values as single attribute.

PSPB - Can you assign 2 attribute dimensions to a single dimension

I am working on a PSPB install and am curious if I can associate 2 attribute dimensions to a single dimension? More specifically, NACUBO codes will be assigned as an attribute of Project ID. But NACUBO codes are broken up into 2 parts, Project Code and Program Code. I need to report on these 2 both separately and together.

Yes, you can. You just cannot assign 2 attributes from the same attribute dimension to the same member.

Hide Object and Assignment information in classification screen

Hi All Experts,
We are thinking about using classification in DMS and we now have a graphical question.
Is it possible to hide(remove for end users) the Object and Assignment screens for a specific document type so that the users only see the screen "Values for Class xxxxx"?
If so, how is it done?
ie, when user is in their DIR they click on classification then they only want to see the data where they will add information:
Objects
Assignments
Values fro Class xxxx
Char 1
Char 2
etc..

Hi Mikael ,
i dont think thats its possible through standard SAP.
But one possible way could be , screen varients, ie by creating a Z transaction which will hide or show fields based upon authorizations in a user profile.
For screen varients you can search forum , and you will find many threads discribing details.

*note that the constructor actually reads a file and tokenizes each element to an attribute, and each attribute is passed through the constructor of the Patient class to instantiate the object. it then stores the object into the vector as an element.
based on this, i would like to sort the vector according to the object's patientName attribute, alphabetically. can anyone out there help me on this?
i have read most of the threads posted on this forum regarding similar issues, but i don't really understand on how the concept works and how would the Comparable be used to compare the patientName attributes.

Are you sure that you will always sort for the patient's name throughout the application? If not, you should consider using Comparators rather than implement Comparable. For the latter, one usually should ensure that the compare() method is consistent with equals(). As for health applications it is likely that there are patients having the same name, reducing compare to the patient's name is hazardous.
Both, Comparator and Comparable are explained in Sun's Tutorial.

We can assign attribute set to multiple business partner at a time using Report " Assignment of an attribute value to allbusiness partners in a target group".
This report can be access from sap guid Marketing->Tools->exter tools.

One cannot have a decimal attribute as the 'attribute' in planning. A decimal attribute can always be marked as a key figure.
For eg: Price. It cant be a attribute of planning area (like Plant, product).

hi,
i don't know if this would be the best way to do it, but i would add all the instances of the objects to a hashtable with the key as the attribute with which you want to search them. You would then retrieve the object using the value.

Partner procedure;Procedure details;Procedure assignment;
Partner object(Customer Customer Master;Sales Document Header Sales Document Item..etc)
Account Group;
Anybody could explain clearly on above relations? Would be better if could attach an example by connecting to XD01 creating customer master data, especially the useage of Account Group.

Let's take kinds of example like this..
I went to an bookstore, bought an book and got the invoice. Then i paid the money, the book is deliveried to me.
Analysis this business process:
Partner type:
I as an person who purchase goods, so i should belong to partner type Customer.
Bookstore sell goods, they should belong to partner type Vendor...
Partner function:
I as an customer but also play roles like pay the amount, receive the invoice..etc
As an customer, i am function like an Sold-To Party.
I pay the amount, then i function like an Payer.
I receive the invoice , then i function like an Bill-to Party.
Also i got the book from bookstore, then i founction like Ship-To Party.
All above function belong category:Customer.
So in SAP system, VOPA, i need first define corresponding partner function, and assign it to partner type.
Partner object:
Partner object is Customer master;Sales document Header,Sales document item..etc
We define above mentioned Partner functions into corresponding partner object, also we need define Partner procedure and assing account group inside it, so as ?????
Sorry, i think idont know what Partner procedure works? And why we need PArtner procedure??
Seems partner procedure is related with Account Group...
I remembered we had assign the Partner function to Account Group once, why we still need Partner procedure to Account Group again???? Coz inside PArtner procedure is partner function...
And what imapct when we creating customer master data XD01 or processing sales order..Billing document...

WebService response object in XML - parsing attributes

Hi- new to Flex and I'm trying to parse out the attributes of the response object. I can get the entire object and see that its working, but I cant get just a single attribute. It pulls weather info for world cities. For example, I just want the location name and temperature.

The WSDL says GetWeatherResponse is a string, and it appears to be a string of XML, so set <mx:operation resultFormat="object"> as this will unwrap the SOAP response value and leave a string typed value intact.
