Object postition changes when previewed

I have a Composition Widget with stacked objects, mouse rollover reveals a group below.
Both objects are the same size and position so the group below is normally hidden.
When I preview or publish the site the group is positioned 5px up and to the left, all other object
Can anyone tell me how to overcome this?
I think it only became a problem since the last update to version 2014.1.1.6

I fixed this by placing each bullet point into its own text box. The indentation issue still exists though.

Cp5 Background Fonts Change when Previewed (F12) or Published

I recently upgraded from Cp4 to Cp5. I captured demonstrations and simulations on my clients machine, and them moved the files to my machine for development. When I preview or publish the project, the fonts in the background change from the system color to black or dark blue.
Anyone experience this same issue, or have a good fix for it? I can fix them by hand, but fonts don't quite match the system fonts.

Use count is 1. There is nothing covering the slide. This is
only happening with one slide. I even tried copying and pasting the
background from another slide on to the one that isn't working

Everything changes when previewed or published - why?

This is getting a bit frustrating now.
Here is how it should look, as designed in Captivate:
...and here's what I get when it is published OR previewed:
1. I am running the updated/patched version of Captivate.
2. Looking at the text box - why has the top sentence moved onto two lines and why has the indentation of the bullet points disappeared (Where it says 'Blackboard')?
3. Why are the buttons mis-aligned? They are all 'smart positioned' to the right hand side of the text box and the button immediately above it. The top button is aligned to the top edge of the square shape that makes up the border.
I just don't understand why it changes - the primary viewport hasn't changed. The tablet and mobile breakpoints are fine.
Any advice appreciated, thanks.

CC - Objects randomly change when resized, don't center correctly with align panel

I'm not sure how clear these photos are, but here's what's happening.
I make a compound object, then when I resize it, it moves anchors around. Note the corners on the 3rd "8" -- they're pinched together. This is happening on a lot of different object
Edit: There are no "snaps" enabled.

It sounds af if you are haunted by the Align to Pixel grid ghost.
You may select your object/everything and untick it in the Transform palette; and you may untick Align New Objects to Pixel Grid in the Options.

Keynote Bug: Object colors changing when opened on different machines

I'm collaborating on a series of presentations with two other people all using Keynote 3.0.1 and we have discovered that the colors of imported graphics are changing (slightly) when we send files to each other. The same files remain normal on the machine that created them, but once that file is sent to another machine (via ichat, either archived or not), small color shifts appear within imported graphics.
This makes matching an imported graphic to a background color a real pain as you can imagine. The shift is measurable with the color palette and is repeatable and consistent.
Has anyone witnessed this?

I used to. Are you using CMYK graphics? I think the problem's with the color space. Try using RGB graphics and see if that helps any.

Colors changing when preview finishes rendering?

I have been struggling to wrap my head around why Lightroom 1.4 changes the color (mostly vivid red orange -> pale yellowish) once the high resolution preview finishes rendering.
Today I photographed a *very* orange butterfly, and it looks just right in the lores preview, but the second after I select the image, the photo goes from saturated orange to pale yellow/brown... :-(
Once the preview has rendered, it "sticks" and the vivid orange is gone.
My specs:
* RAW photos (Canon .CR2, from a Canon EOS 450D aka Digital Rebel XSi)
* Show with circular *polarizing filter* and Canon macro 100mm
* Windows Vista Home professional
* Lightroom 1.4 (most things left at default)
* No edits or adjustments applied at import or afterwards
The help for "color management" didn't say much, and all this color management stuff is really confusing me!
Any help would be very appreciated.

What you see is the embedded JPEG from the camera, and then LR's rendered version using either its defaults, or whatever you have set for defaults/presets. You can adjust your defaults or apply a preset on import if you like, or you can get LR 2 and the Beta profiles which have much improved color renditions, and can even simulate some of the in-camera profiles.

previewed in Safari. Im new to dreamweaver so havent got a clue of
the problem, but illl prosume its basic. Can anyone help?!

While you are learning, your best bet would be to avoid
layers altogether
and concentrate on using tables (not layout mode!) for
placement on the
page.
Also, you need to use only fonts/font families that are 'web
safe', i.e.,
those that you can be certain everyone has installed on their

Font Change in Preview mode

The font I used while editing a cp4 slide changes when previewed in the web browser. This does not happen with other slides in my project. What can i do to prevent this?

It might help if you could please insert images of what you see in each view. Perhaps by seeing what you are describing we might understand what may be happening.

When previewing my website in Dreamweaver flash crashed - I need to change the security settings but don't know how to do this

I use Dreamweaver and Adobe Bridge to create slide shows on my website. When 'previewing' the slideshow - in Dreamweaver it opens Firefox - it crashed and the dialogue box opens telling me to change my 'settings' - it doesn't do this if I preview in IE - which I don't understand. I need help in knowing where to go to change the security settings so that this doesn't happen. Incidentally, when I am on the web through Firefox, my website slideshows work perfectly>

You can set the pref dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to to -1 on the about:config page to disable the timeout.

Select the text, and open the Appearance palette (Come on guys, text highlight is irrelevant, it happens to objects too says the OP), and see what's listed there. For a simple text object, there should only be a line item "Type", followed by "Characters", and when double-clicked the Characters line item expands to tell you the stroke and fill color. For a basic object, there should be a fill and/or stroke.
What happens sometimes, is that you end up adding extra strokes/fills to objects or text, and the appearance palette is where that will be noted. Especially when you are dealing with groups, and/or picking up a color with the eyedropper, you may inadvertently be adding a fill or stroke on top of something. You can drag those unwanted thingies from the Appearance palette into its own little trash can.

This just means that not many people use this feature. However, now that VIPM Professional makes it so easy to edit the palettes, I'm sure that others will start complaining that this doesn't work as they expect.

Just look up the functional specifications for this feature and see if all objects are supposed to be selected.
But seriously, is there a reason that only the FP decorations are selected? Surely this would be documented somewhere, if there was a good reason for this current (IMO, buggy) behavior.

That's not a reasonably work-around, IMO. It doesn't make sense to drop Block Diagram components onto the Front Panel. For example, this bug affects the JKI State Machine. It doesn't make sense to drop a State Machine onto the Front Panel.
So, I'd file it as a CAR/bug, and then wait to see how LV R&D feels about it. If they can find some valid reason for why Controls and Indicators shouldn't be selected, then that's fine (and hopefully someone will explain it to me).

I work in Photoshop with smart objects. When I apply color profile smart object are changed. For example change filter or change size. I dont now why?

Yes, fortunately, I am a Windows user, but I don't want to start a religious war here And it is also possible to run multiple versions of Adobe products simultaneously under Windows - why shouldn't that be possible? Currently I have CS3 and CS4 and somtimes use CS3 when CS4 is just too buggy to get the job done. Before that I had CS and CS2 on the same machine.
But I wouldn't keep all versions back to PS 6.0 or CS, that would be a bit too chaotic and I'd had to spend days of installing if I get a new computer. I expect those programs to be a little bit backwards-compatible, so I don't have to use many different versions. And for Photoshop, this is mostly the case. It's just very tiny details like Smart Object resizing that seems to work differently.
Otherwise I'm really happy that in CS4 I can finally link Masks to smart objects and apply warp and perspective on them, that's a big plus!

Does the ID associated with the BRF+ objects changes when transported?

I just wonder if it is, because I am going to hardcode the ID of the Catalog I am calling using the FM WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE.

The ID is stable! That is exactly the idea of the ID, stable and unique accross systems.

Why does object sequence change once exported to PDF?

I have a two-page spread that shows exactly how I want it to in Preview. But once I export to PDF the sequence of the objects has changed (blocking an object that needs to be on top). I can see the object when the pdf is opened, but just for a second. I don't know if this is an InDesign problem or an Acrobat problem. I'm using CS4 and exporting to Acrobat 8.
In the file "Step" and "Out" should be on top. "Step" gets covered up, but "Out" does not.

This is the cross-spine bug. You have four choices:
1) Take this back to CS3.
2) Reconstruct things on your master spread so that text boxes don't cross the spine.
3) Move the problematic cross-spine elements off the master onto a live page.
4) Wait for a patch. A number of people have been bit by this, but the only reports I've seen have been quite recent, all in the last few months.
