Objects locked after crash in Integration Repository (Design)

Hi there,
Unfortunately the integration repository (Design) crashed during an import of some IDOCS from a R3 system.
Now when I try to login again into the Integration Repository and do any changes in the software component, I get a warning telling me that the object Im trying to edit is currently beig edited by my own account.
How can I remove this object lock so I can continue working with this object? is there any admin tool from where I can release the locked objects or something like that?
Thanks Rob.

Hi Rob
I presume you use XI 2.0.
Execute transaction sm12 to release the locks.

  • How to run Integration Repository Designer

    Hello,
I have installed NetWeaver 2004S SR2 ABAP+Java, Windows 2003 32-bit with MS SQL Server 2005. Did not install anything beyond that.
The goal for me is to create the connectivity between our own application and SAP NW with use of PI module.
Now, I'm trying to follow step-by-step guide "Step-By-Step Approach for Implementing XI" Scenarios(SAP on DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows) and at certain point they ask to open the Integration Repository Designer, which I cannot find on my system.
    Questions:
    1. Do I need to install anything beyond already installed components to get access to PI/XI design and runtime tools?
    2. If not, how can I run this Integration Repository Designer?
    Thanks,
    Maxim.

After running the transaction mentioned, I just get the Windows Explorer popped up with the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Sap\SapWorkDir"
Those are the files in this folder:
    SAP_Cache_Sap\
    SAPHistorySAP.mdb
    SAPHistorySAP.ldb
    sapfewdll_01_0007_00_692_1716.err.trc
    errorlog.gui
No errors or any other messages in the SAP System window. Any suggestions?
Maybe I'm not good at terminology, but saying "...while installing XI/PI..." did you mean I need to install that separately from the installation I ran from the SAP Solution Manager disc, providing NW Kernel 7.0 as a part of that installation?
    Thanks,
    Maxim.

  • Cross system object lock after SP24 upgrade

    Hi Team,
We have recently updated from Sol Man SP23 to SP24. I have set-up cross system object lock (CSOL) in SP23. It was working perfectly.
When we are in SP23, i have made following settings:
In T.code: u201C/TMWFLOW/CONFIG_SERVICESu201D , i have set he conflict analysis as "Cross-Project, Cross-Client". So i that i will always get "Warning" Messge while processing SDHF and SDMJ correction.
In t.code: /n/TMWFLOW/CMSCONF , the CSOL is active.
Recently we have upgraded to SP24. After SP24 upgrade, the CSOL is not working properly. The configurations are same as earlier.(Before SP24). Now if i process SDMJ or SDHF corrections, the CSOL always gives me "ERROR" message but i want to get "WARNING" message as earlier. I have checked the conflict analysis in t.code u201C/TMWFLOW/CONFIG_SERVICES". It is still "Cross Project, Cross-Client" only.
Any additinal SAP notes to be implemrnted to correct this behaviour.
    Your valuable guidance required.
    Thanks
    Kumar

I dont believe this is possible at the moment. As you must be already aware, that SAP releases the locks from the objects as soon as the transport request is released from the Development System. Unless, this locking mechanism is extended to various systems first (DEV and QAS) and later to parallel landscapes (eg:- Project landscapes) it would be difficult to bring in this feature.

  • Repository Objects Locked after Import

    Hi there,
we have 2 XI lines. In one we have an issue and so we export/imported the rep. objects out of the dev. system XI1 and imported them into XI2.
On XI2 (which has a dedicated SLD) we did not define anything in the SLD.
Now we need to continue developing - but in XI2 we cannot modify the objects anymore - they are locked. I know that this is a good thing if u transport. But for its a disaster if we had do re-do everything.
Does anyone has a hint how we could tweak this issue?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Object locked after Release and Transport to QAS/PRD

During an attempted recovery of our DEV system, a tranport request that had been previously released and transported to QAS/PRD was copied back into the DEV system, over-writing an open change request (and associated lock) on the program.
As a result the object shows as 'Locked' in DEV, but the lock entry is on a 'Released' transport.
I have reviewed tables E070 and E071, and as expected the entries for the program show that the transport was released.
Table TLOCK contains an entry for the program indicating that it is locked under the change request described above, that has already be released.
I logged a message with SAP, and was directed to create a new change request and assign the program to that request.  While this does work, and allows me to make corrections and transport them, it does not assign a lock to the new transport, and does not clear the existing lock.
The other comment in the message was that once a transport is released, the only other option is to 'hack the tables', but I am not sure I am ready to go that route.
Has anyone ever encountered this situation, and if so, do you have any situations as to how to clear the lock entry ?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

  • How to find an object from its ID in Integration Repository

I have tried to find the object using the Object->Find... menu item, but selecting Object ID in the attributes field and entering this string does not return any hits.
Am I doing this right, or is there another way to find the object?
    Kind Regards,

  • Import of SAP Objects into Integration Repository in XI 3.0

    Hi all,
I am not able to import SAP objects into the Integration Repository in XI 3.0. This option is under any Software Component  Version. I have selected the radio button "Import of RFC and IDoc interfaces from SAP systems permitted", in the Software  Component Version settings. After the connection data is specified for the SAP system nothing appears under the IDoc, Whereas  the import of RFCs is successfull.
We also have another installation of SAP XI 3.0, here this option is working properly. Can anyone tell me what is the  problem, is is there something else to be configured inorder to do this.
    Best regards,
    Norway

    Hi Stephan
Thank you for your answer. We have followed your instructions but did only get half a success. Here is what we have done:
    1) Created "External Definitions" for all related xsd-files with the same name as the xsd-filename and in our own namespace. Our namespace is different from those specified in the xsd-files. We have not change the namespaces in the xsd-files.
    2) Maintained the "source"-field with the name for the xsd-file and not the url as specified in our answer. When we used the filename only we got a value the field "name" in the "External References".
    3) We made a message mapping and imported the "top-level-xsd-element" from the "External Definition". This resulted in only the top level element and nothing else. What we expected was the possibility to drill down through the complete structure.
What did we doe wrong? Perhaps I could talk you into spending 10 min. and try it your self? This url leads to a zip file with all the related xsd files: http://rep.oio.dk/ubl/xml/schemas/0p71/documentation/resources.html
Do you know if it will be possible to make references across namespaces in a later version of XI?

  • Importing Development Objects in Integration Repository ?

    Hi ,
How do i import development objects that have been exported ? e.g , i export a "message mapping" object using Tools->Export Development Objects, could see it stored in a folder in the XI server m/c , however , when i try import development objcts option from Tools menu, i don't see an option to specify the location of the .tpz file which has to be used for import !!
Also , if i try to import the message mapping object which was created in a different namespace to my new namespace, will there be any issues ?
Are there any changes that have to be done in my new namespace( assuming i will be able to do the import in the first place).
Ne pointers as to how to do it are welcome
    Thanks
    Saravana

    Hi,
When you export 'a message mapping object'/repository objects (all objects in repository is called repository objects), it is stored under
      <install_path>/xi/repository_server/export
To import this object, you must manually copy this into
      <install_path>/xi/repository_server/import
and then choose the Tools -> Import Design Objects..." menu option to import the repository objects (only the files from the import directory can be selected).
If the import is sucessful, the import object will be moved to /importedFiles folder.
While importing, i don't think you can change the namespace of the object. After importing also it will have the same namespace as before importing.
    Hope it helps.

  • Objects arrangement in Integration Repository

    Hi All,
I have some questions about Objects Arrangement in Integration Repository.
Let’s say that the scenario is as follow :
I have two on going projects. There are data exchanges in both projects.
In Project_1, R/3 needs to get data from CRM system,
while in Project_2, R/3 needs to get data from SEM system.
How should I arrange the objects in Integration Repository using the most common way (best practice) ?
(For example, is it supposed to be like this
    Model A :
    Product : MYCOMP_R/3
    SWC  : MYCOMP_R/3
    NameSpace : http://mycompany.com/R3/Project_1
(Here we put all the R/3 related Objects of Project_1)
                   http://mycompany.com/R3/Project_2
(Here we put all the R/3 related Objects of Project_2)
    Product : MYCOMP_CRM
    SWC  : MYCOMP_CRM
    NameSpace : http://mycompany.com/CRM/Project_1
(Here we put all the CRM related Objects of Project_1)
    Product : MYCOMP_SEM
    SWC  : MYCOMP_SEM
    NameSpace : http://mycompany.com/SEM/Project_2
(Here we put all the SEM related Objects of Project_2)
    or like this ?
    Model B :
    Product : PROJECT_1
    SWC : PROJECT_1
    NameSpace : http://mycompany.com/proj1/R3
(Here we put all the R/3 related Objects of Project_1)
                   http://mycompany.com/proj1/CRM
(Here we put all the CRM related Objects of Project_1)
    Product : PROJECT_2
    SWC : PROJECT_2
    NameSpace : http://mycompany.com/proj2/R3
(Here we put all the R/3 related Objects of Project_2)
                   http://mycompany.com/proj2/SEM
(Here we put all the SEM related Objects of Project_2)
    Please advise me………
    Thanks in advance,
    Andy S

    Hi,
    1. You have a choice of making one SWCV per project in a company or per Thrid-party project.
    2. You can have one SWCV and then have one namespace for each Interface you are developing itrrespective of the sender or reciever system.
    3. If you have one SWCV for each Third-party product then you have to again design as to where different object should be , Sender system or reciver system.
    4. If you keep all the object pertaining to one Interface together under a namespace the readability increases.
    Hope this helps.

  • Integration Repository objects

Is it possible to store Integration Repository objects (Data Types,Message Types,Message Interfaces,Message Mappings and Interface Mappings) separately in the repository like (VSS ,CVS etc,.).Some times it will be helpful to merge specific versions of the objects and activate. If i am not wrong i can only see exporting IR objects as a whole and store in the repository.

    Hi Anand,
I dont have a exct answer for it but i can give you a solution.....
the thing is you can export your datatype as XSD and save that XSD at your coninient path.....so once your are in need of datatype you just import that XSD so you can see your datatype there..............so once you have your datatype i dont think it will take much of time to build IR Objects other than Mapping....this too can be solve if you use Java or XSLT Mapping...just have a copy of your pgm in local so that you can make use of it wherever you want ....hope this simplifies your task...f you feel im wrong kindly inform me...

  • Integration Repository objects for EDI adapters

    Hi,
We are currently evaluating EDI integration options, and I need some information.
Does anybody know where I can find a list of Integration Repository (or any other) objects such as mappings, mapping templates, msg types, etc that are provided with the EDI adapters from Seeburger or iWay ?
If you know where I could get my hands on some technical documentation of the adapters themselves, that would be great too!

  • Renaming Integration Repository objects?

    Hello everybody,
is there any way to rename already created integration repository objects (e.g. integration scenarios)? There are some distinct naming conventions for some of the SAP certification programs and some of the content already developed does not adhere to those conventions.
    Thanks for your answers!
    Regards
    Jörg Strebel

The renaming is not given as an option, mainly because of the dependcies that are involved. If renamed, the object dependencies are very difficult to manage.
    1) Copy the objects to new names.
    2) Change the dependencies from bottom up, to point to the new names. Data Types first, then Message Types, then Interfaces, then Mappings etc.
    3) Delete the objects with old names.
    4) Activate the changes.
    Hope this helps,
    Bhanu
