OC4J - PROBLEM 10g ( 9.0.4 ) - exception: ORA-01002

I have application perfectly running in the version 9ias (OC4J 9.0.3) when I migrated for 10g (OC4J 9.0.4) I obtained the following mistake stopping my application.
exception: ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence
Data of the application:
     EJB CMP
     Version Database: Oracle 9.02
     Operating system: Solaris 64 bits
I already made several researches and I verified the following problem:
The table TB_CARDS have a lock-mode = "Pessimistic" in the file orion-ejb.xml. In the 9.0.4 we Monitored the access in the database and have syntax : select * from tb_carts for update ("select for update"), but in the version OC4J 9.0.3 it doesn't have the syntax "for update"
     Some people talk to me to put the autocommit equal false, however where i put this option because I´m using using CMP?
     Am I following the correct manageable ?
I await suggestions

  • When-new-form-Instance trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-04062

    Hi,
    We are facing ORA-04062 (FRM-40735 WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA 04062) while trying to run the first form of our Application.
    We are using a PL/SQL LIBRARY(.pll) for forms.
    We are using 10G Application Server,10G DB and Oracle 9i Forms.
    DB Version----10.1.0.4.0
    Application Server--9.0.4.0
    During compilation, we are following the below steps:
    1. Compile the .pll
    2.Compile Forms.
    When we are running these compiled version of forms and pll in Development server where we are compiling it,we are not facing any error.
    But when we are taking these compiled version of forms and pll to the Production Server,we are getting the above error.
    When we are compiling the .pll in Production server, Application runs fine.
    But we should not compile form or pll in Production server.
    Searching in Metalink(Note:73506.1) , we find a solution that remote_dependency_mode if set to signature this problem may be resolved.
    We tried that by chaning ' REMOTE_DEPENDENCIES_MODE=SIGNATURE' in Init.ora file in both Production and Development server.
    But the error still persist.
    I think the problem is regarding .pll.Because for the time being to test the application,I compiled the pll in Production and we didnot get any error while running the Application.
    But whenever we are tring to deploy the compiled version of pll (compiling in Development sever) and to run the application in Production, we are facing the error.
    Also, pll calls one standard database package in SYS.That standard package has VALID status both in Production and in Development.
    We donot have priviledge to change/compile that package.So,we didnot change anything in that package. We didnot change anything in .pll also.
    We are upgrading our forms from 6i to 9i.And now when we are trying to deploy it to Production we are facing ORA-04062 error.
    Can anyone please help ?

    Exactly what procedure or package in SYS are you calling that causes this problem?
    <p>Are both test and production databases at the same version?
    <p>Do you know what procedure or package is named in the error? If not, then you need to improve your on-error trigger processing. I use a PLL_On_Error trigger to capture and improve a number of Oracle messages. It is posted here:
    <p> Re: FRM-40735:Pre_Insert trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-20011
    <p>Note especially the part near the end that deals with FRM-40735. (Not sure, but you may also want to display DBMS_ERROR_TEXT in your situation.)
    <p>If that doesn't help find the actual problem, I would pull out my Re: Zdebug -- Download a Forms debugging message tool, and add messages before every call in the when-new-form-instance process to zero-in on the offending call.
    <p>If it really IS a call to a system process, I would then experiment with creating a server-side package or stored procedure that calls the process, and then call that stored procedure from my form. That way, you effectively insulate your form from system differences.

         void com.evermind.server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(java.lang.Thread)
         void com.evermind.util.ThreadPoolThread.run()
    Question:
    - What is the cause of this error message? How to avoid?.
    From the Oracle error message documentation:
    ORA-00020 maximum number of processes (string) exceeded
    Cause: All process state objects are in use.
    Action: Increase the value of the PROCESSES initialization parameter.
    Another alternative approach may be to configure your Connection pool and/or your ApplicationModule pool to optimize the use of
    database connections and/or restrict the number of database connections used by the application. For example, if your application
    has declared many root ApplicationModules (i.e. more than one ApplicationModule pool is in use) then it may help to enable the
    jbo.doconnectionpooling switch so that each ApplicationModule instance in the pools does not maintain a dedicated database
    connection while not in use. Another alternative if you are using the BC4J connection pool (not a JDBC datasource) may be to
    restrict the number of connections the pool can create to < 150 with the jbo.maxpoolsize switch. However, please note that this
    may have an impact on throughput.
    - I intended to deploy my application to 9IAS server. Will the same problem occurs too?.
    This is a database issue. So, yes.
    Hope this helps.

  • FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled except ORA-06508

    Dear Colleague,
    I am migrating a Forms application from Forms 9i to Forms 10g. Most of my forms were originally created using the Oracle Designer Forms generator. I am also using the Webutil plugin. I just finished configuring Webutil, tested it and it seems to be working fine.
    I am able to compile all code and generate a Form executable. However at runtime, I get an error as soon as the first line of code in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger.
    The error is:
    FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508
    and the beginning of the code is as follows. Using the debugger, I found out that the line:
    CGBS2$.SET_COORD_STYLE( 'P' );
    initiates an error.
    /* CGLY$INIT_CANVASES */
    /* Call procedure to ensure correct canvases are visible */
    BEGIN
    CGBS2$.SET_COORD_STYLE( 'P' );
    CGBS2$.SET_QRY_ON_ENTRY( 'Y' );
    CGBS2$.SET_NAV_FROM_BLOCK( 'PROJ_BLOCK' );
    CGLY$CANVAS_MANAGEMENT;
    END;
    Is the error telling me that this procedure was not found? How can I proceed to find the cause and solution of my problem? Are one of the Oracle Designer Forms Generator libraries missing?
    I would appreciate a tip to help me begin seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
    Thanks and regards,
    Randy

    Randy,
    Glad I could help and you've got your Form running.
    @user9230833
    It is consider "bad form" to usurp another's post. Please create your own Forum post and include a link or links to any relevant posts. As to Randy's situation, he simply compiled the Forms 9i Library module (.pll) with Forms 10g's compiler. This may not be the cause of your error. When you post your own question, please include your Forms version (full version [eg; 10.1.2.0.2] not the release [6i, 9i, 10g, etc]). Also include any sample code that might help us help you! ;-)

  • Frm-40735 when-button-pressed trigger raised unhandled  exception ora-03114

    hi everybody,
    i am using oracle 10g release 2 in my test server and 10g release 1 in production server with forms in 10g running through the oracle 10g application server with no problem with our production server.
    but the same form when i try to use through the same application server for my
    with my test database server which is oracle 10g release 2 is giving me
    frm exceptions and disconnecting the session.
    like i get frm-40735 when-button-pressed trigger raised unhandled exception
    ora-03114. then frm-40655 sql error forced rollback;clear form and reenter transaction. then when i try to exit it shows ora-24324 service handle not initialized.
    The same thing when i try with my production server i dont get any exception handle error or forced rollback error.
    i am not facing any problem as such to connect to my test database(release 2)
    through sql plus client or TOAD OR ENTERPRISE MANAGER THEY ARE ALL FINE. IT IS ONLY WHEN I GO THROUGH THE APPLICATION SERVER TO ACCESS MY FORMS I GET THIS ERROR. BUT MY PRODUCTION IS RUNNING THE SAME WAY WITH NO ERRORS.
    any suggestions welcome as i have to bring release 2 in the production next month
    thanks and regards
    manish

    ORA-03114 not connected to ORACLE
    Cause: A call to Oracle was attempted when no connection was established. Usually this happens because a user-written program has not logged on. It may happen if communication trouble causes a disconnection. In addition, this message could occur when ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION or ALTER SYSTEM DISCONNECT SESSION were issued with the IMMEDIATE qualifier because, in those cases, the client's connection to the database is terminated without waiting for the client to issue a request.
    Action: Try again. If the message recurs and the program is user written, check the program.

  • Consolidator Exception: ORA-02291

    We have Olite 10g R2 on a Windows 2003 5.2 Operating system. We packaged an application and published it to the Mobile Server. When we attempt to assign access to a user or a group we are getting a VIRTUAL PATH IS NULL error. Even though we get this error it still shows the user or group as having access on the APPLICATION: ACCESS table. When we attempt to set the ROLES for the USER or GROUP we then get the following error.
    Error in executing “ Save application “:oracle.lite.web.resource.ResourceException: CONS-10049: Consolidator Exception: ORA-02291: integrity constraint (MOBILEADMIN.C$ALL_CLIENT_ITEMSFK) violated – parent key not found
    The 10.2.0.2.0 patchset has been applied. We are still getting both of these errors. Is there another patch that is required? Need some help.

    When you publish an application data is created in the mobileadmin repository schema
    C$ALL_PUBLICATIONS will contain one record for each publication item you create (plus a few pre-loaded default ones). The record includes the select statement used to define the snapshot for the publication item, so if this is for an object with a lot of columns or a complex select statement it can result in a large record. From this error is looks like the table space definition is too small.
    You need to talk to your DBAs about getting this increased. If it is too small as well as problems with the publish, the MGP process may fail as well as by default the CFM$ inqueue and CMP$ out queue tables also get created in this tablespace

    When we try to create simple custom reports against one of the Target database , its failing with following error message ,
    Query : select * from v$database
    Error rendering element.
    Exception: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Note:
    I have reviewed thred "getting ORA-00942 while running report in GC"
    Please give some light .
    Regards,
    Raju

    This is an EM related question so I would suggest you post in the appropriate space "Enterprise Manager" -- https://forums.oracle.com/community/developer/english/enterprise_management/enterprise_manager/enterprise_manager_6
    You may also review (In Grid Control 10.2, Creating a Report to Query 'V$SESSION 'Fails: 'Error Rendering Element. Exception: ORA-00942 Table Or View Does Not Exist' (Doc ID 356755.1)) and implement the solution for v$database

  • Why does this snippet produce ORA-01002 in 10g, but works fine in 9i.

    While migrating from 9i to 10g, we found that one of our processes failed with ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence. Debugging produced the following example:
    DECLARE
    CURSOR A IS SELECT Dummy FROM Dual FOR UPDATE;
    BEGIN
    FOR B IN A LOOP COMMIT;  END LOOP;
    END;This code works in 9i, but produces an EXCEPTION in 10g:
    SQL> SELECT Banner FROM V$Version;
    BANNER
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    PL/SQL Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    CORE    9.2.0.8.0       Production
    TNS for Linux: Version 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    SQL> DECLARE
      2   CURSOR A IS SELECT Dummy FROM Dual FOR UPDATE;
      3  BEGIN
      4   FOR B IN A LOOP COMMIT;  END LOOP;
      5  END;
      6  /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

      6  /
    DECLARE
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01002: fetch out of sequence
    ORA-06512: at line 4The documentation on the error explains this case in both 9i and more explicitly 10g. Should this have produced the EXCEPTION in 9i as well? Or, is there something else about 10g?

    e.g. a FOR row IN cursor LOOP is now implicit using a bulk fetch operation (100 rows or so).This was also my first guess, but said optimization does not take place when the cursor is defined FOR UPDATE:
    SQL> exec dbms_application_info.set_client_info(0)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> declare
    cursor a is select last_name, set_client_info(rownum) from employees;
    begin
    for b in a loop
        exit;
    end loop;
    end;
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> select sys_context('userenv','client_info') from dual
    SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','CLIENT_INFO')
    100
    1 row selected.
    Now with FOR UPDATE:
    SQL> exec dbms_application_info.set_client_info(0)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> declare
    cursor a is select last_name, set_client_info(rownum) from employees for update;
    begin
    for b in a loop
        exit;
    end loop;
    end;
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> select sys_context('userenv','client_info') from dual
    SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','CLIENT_INFO')
    1
    1 row selected.

  • Exception: ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEFETCH callout ORA-3065

    Dear Experts,
    Need your help. We export data from oracle 11g database and import into oracle 10g database.
    We have created external tables with same DDL in both export and import schema.
    we are able generate datadump files at export side successfuly. However, when we try to query the datadump files at import side we are getting following error:
    Exception: ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEFETCH callout ORA-30653: reject limit REACHED
    In the external table definition we have defined the reject limit as zero as we don't want any records to be rejected.
    This issue occurred after we deployed the fix for an issue, which is -> In one of the table we store the xml of the modified record of some core table. And if the records contains control characters [ chr(0) to chr(31), expect chr(9), chr(10) and chr(13) ] then xml fails to validate and our export failed.
    To fix it, we added the code to set the event at the start of the export rountine using command:
    /*Replace the erroneous character with corresponding character reference*/
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET events = ''19119 trace name context forever, level 0x200000''';
    After this, the export worked fine but import failed.
    I have no clue what this error message is suggesting, expect the reject limit thing which I can't set to unlimited.
    I would be grateful to have your comments on this. Please let me know if you need futher information.
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
    What happens if you set that event on the importing side too?
    Is there no other way to remove the speical characters - can you not use functions against the xml string directly in the routine that populates the external table - why are you using the event?
    Cheers,
    Harry

  • FRM-40735 on-error raised unhandled exception ORA-06502

    Hi there,
    I have a form and all the items on canvas are base table items. If iam in normal mode and click on buttons, the LOVs show up correctly.
    If i query records and i click on any of buttons to get LOV i get " FRM-40735 on-error raised unhandled exception ORA-06502". I checked insert_allowed,enabled,update_allowed properties and also format mask for each items and all are correct.
    ANy help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Use the debugger to single step through your code line by line. The debugger will stop at the line where the error is occurring. Look at that line of code. You will probably see a problem with a data type or the data length.

  • FRM-40735: When-Validate-Item trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01861

    Dear all, I runned a form designed by Developer 2000 version 4.5 and encountered a puzzling problem. The same program could be runned on one computer but not in another one. The error message is as below: FRM-40735: When-Validate-Item trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01861. The OS of both computers are windows 2000 professional. The only difference between two computers is the patch files didn't installed on one of them. I don't know if it is the key point. Could you tell me why?
    Thank you!!!

    I sure wish people would post the entire text of the error message. "ORA-01861: literal does not match format string."
    What kind of field are you trying to validate? This message is usually due to a date format error. If you are trying to convert text into a date without using TO_DATE('some text','date-format'), then that is the problem. It sounds like you are, and the database default date format is different between the two systems.

  • 40735 WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE-TRIGGER raised unhandled exception ORA-06502

    After migrationg my form from 6i to 10g I am getting the 40735 WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE-TRIGGER raised unhandled exception ORA-06502 err msg. the field is a date field and should be automatically populated with sysdate- 365. but when i open the form to run it is not populated automatically. i have to enter the date manually. the code in the NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger is as follows:
    declare
    record_id RecordGroup;
    error_cd number;
    begin
    -- Set the main window properties
    set_window_property(forms_mdi_window, window_state, maximize);
    -- Menu Security
    set_menu_items;
    select sysdate - 365
    into :start_date
    from dual;
    end;
    I check the property palate for the start_date field and it looks ok. the form is working fine in windows but the above message is comming out while running the form in Unix.
    Any help will be greatly apreciated.

    First thing, try qualifying the start_date with the block name
    declare
    record_id RecordGroup;
    error_cd number;
    begin
    -- Set the main window properties
    set_window_property(forms_mdi_window, window_state, maximize);
    -- Menu Security
    set_menu_items;
    select sysdate - 365
    into :block.start_date
    from dual;
    end;
