OCA Online Certification Query

I want to give the 'SQL 11g Fundamentals I' online as a non-proctored exam and want to know about its authenticity from certification point of view. Is it ok to give this paper online? Or will i have to give another proctored exam for the same paper again later?

In general if people can get to a test center I think that is better; for reasons i have given in posts some way back i can't have time to seek out currently ( essentially no temptation to cheat, experience of test center for later more high value exams, no issues of distractions or connectivity issues that may be your fault). But those having to make a 400 mile trip to a test center would typically go for online.

Most likely, it doesn't matter too much. I doubt that most employers are terribly concerned with what recent version of Oracle you have a certification on.
That said, if it matters
- What does your organization use? What are their plans to upgrade? If your company still uses 9.2 primarily and has plans to upgrade to 10.2 this year, you're probably better off with a 10g certification. If your company is already running mostly 11.2, you're probably better off with an 11g certification.
- What do most employers in your particular part of the world tend to use? What do job postings in your particular part of the world generally list?

All SAP exams are online only. You can register for the certification exam thru the link "Register for an Exam Now" by going on the link provided in earlier reply. Once you register for an exam then you can appear for it in SAP education center or in its authorized centers.

Hi Anand,
Since you have 5+ years experience you can apply for certification directly with SAP. You will have to take up exam for each module seperately.
First you have to prepare your profile in the SAP provided format and send it to SAP for evaluation. You should specify which module you are going to appear for.
Evaluation time is 3-4 days.
Eligibility criteria are:
To appear for Associate level certification without attending any SAP course you need Minimum 1 year of SAP Implementation Experience with minimum of 6 months experience in the module and version in which you wish to take up certification and To appear for Professional level certification without attending any SAP course you need Minimum to 4 - 7 years of SAP Implementation Experience with minimum of 6 months experience in the module and version in which you wish to take up certification. (Note that Support and testing experience is not accounted for direct certification in all SAP modules except ABAP)
The last 1 year should be with your present employer
Your present employer should be a CUSTOMER or PARTNER of SAP
Certification fee for Associate level will be INR 27575 and for professional level the fee will be INR 44120 inclusive of current taxes applicable
With this fee you can appear for exam only once. if you want to take up retest you need to take the DD for fee again and send along with the score sheet of your previous exam.
If your profile get approved SAP education consultants at SAP will guide you through what documents to be sent along with the DD for exam fee.
If all the documents are in order then you will get the exam schedule (centre and date) and deadline for confirming your choice of centre and the date. you can send your confirmation via email.

The codes you mentions are exams, not certifications, and passing both fulfills the pre-requisites for a PL/SQL OCA certifcation.
1z0-051 and 1z0-144 are more modern alternatives.

First take 1Z0-007 online, then 1Z0-147 and you'll get your OCA. Exams cover different topics. Best materials for preparation are those given on Oracle trainings.

SAP Certification query

Hello Everybody
i m planning to certification in SAP. i did my M tech with Specialization in SAP ABAP. i have 9 month of experience in SAP ABAP as an intern. there are some query regarding certification :
1. As i already have some experience in ABAP so is it worthy to do SAP ABAP Certification.
2. Which Certification is good for me? (As i don't have much knowledge about it)
3. Which Institute will be better Siemens or Genovate (In which city the training is best among different cities)
4. I also have interest in MM module. Can i go for MM certification (As i heard for SAP MM certification requires 2 years of experience)
5. After Certification what is the placement scenario, is the placement is assured or how many confirm interview i will get after certification?
6. I tried to find out the schedule of Siemens for Aug - Sept. but unable to find out. Is there any link for that.

OCA 11g certification and version 12c release

Hello, I have a doubt.
I'm currently studying for OCA 11g version ( 1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052 ) with the release of 12c can I still take the exam for 11g ?.
I'm new in Oracle's world, In Microsoft certifications you can take exams for the current release of a product and also for the previoss version.

I've now read on your subject what you meant by fundamentals +(if all else fails read the original posters question)+.. ie 9i DBA OCA and 9i DBA OCP .... no for you forget those and and follow the link to the Pl/SQL developer track ....

Exam order is not important, but you dont get certificates unless pre-requisites all met. The is an interesting cheap beta exam arround at present if you are up for it ... 1z0-144

You may choose whatever test preparation you feel more comfortable with. But I suggest you to setup a practical test environment where you can test all features according to the topic guide provided by oracle at the Oracle Certification site, you can find it by following the certification link at http://education.oracle.com . Besides I suggest you to document each topic with the official documentation manuals from oracle.

Online Certification Authority "Select" greyed out IIS with 2008 R2 PKI

I have built a two tier 2008 R2 PKI with an offline Root CA and an online issuing CA. The domain is a 2008 funtional level.
From a 2008 IIS server on the same domain, I have tried to Create a "Domain Certificate" so I can implement an internally self signed web server. On the first screen, I am able to enter all the details under "Distinguished Name Properties", but when I go
to the next screen, "Online Certificate Authority", the Select button is greyed out next to "specify Online Certifcation Authority" . The only online articles I have found say this indicates that something is wrong with the CA,
but not what.
I have checked everything with PKIview and the CA looks healthy. I have also run the BPA for certifcate services and the BPA for DNS and no problems are shown.
I have checked that the certifcate template for Webservers I have created and looks okay and have been able to manually send a web server request to it on the CA and install it on the webserver.
I am also able to successfully autoenrol user and machine certifcates within the domain and use this for 802.1x Wireless authentication.
Any pointers in would be appreciated

Open Certification Authorities MMC snap-in, expand root node and select Certificate Templates (this node is available on Enterprise CAs only). Click Actions -> All Tasks -> New -> Certificate template to issue.
Note that IIS server *machine* account must have Read and Enroll permissions on this template.
