What you can do, is look up the JHeadstart source code of JhsActionServlet.java line 172. The JHeadstart runtime source code is shipped with your JHeadstart version.
Then, from the source code, try to determine which object can have caused a ClassCastException.
The cause is most likely a Java library (jar) for that type of object that is taken from a different classpath. In other words, the relevant jar might be pre-installed in the OC4J instance, while the class it is cast to is part of your ear file (or the other way around).
Hope this helps,

  • 500 Internal Server Error on OC4j9.0.3

    Hello:
I have an application that was runnin at the begining with Iplanet as aplications server.
Then I decided to change Iplanet, and use OC4J 9.0.3 to run my application.
The problem was that when a put a new version of a class (this is bean or servlet) on the server when it's running, the following error occurs:
    500 Internal Server Error : java.lang.ClassCastException
I have to shutdown a start again the service to work normal.
The fact is that this error never happened with Iplanet as Application Server.
    What could be the problem?
I'm not using any kind of deployment with J2EE, just beans (no enterprise java beans),
servlets, these two are just .class files.
    Granful,
    Andrés Wong

    Hi Cornelia,
With the link Planning Modeler and Planning Wizard should be opened.
I mean if we click on Start Modeler button in transaction RSPLAN, the link should redirect us to Planning Modeler.
And if we click on Start Wizard button in the transaction RSPLAN, the link should redirect us to Planning Wizard.

When I connect to the SharePoint site that contains the lists I need to build my query from , Power Query enumerates the list and displays them in the tool. I can click on the system tables and view the records but any table

    thank you for your help

Hi Andrew. In order for us diagnose this issue, you'll need to capture some network traces using a tool such as Fiddler and share them by sending a Frown.
To capture a trace using Fiddler, start Fiddler, enable the Tools > Fiddler Options > HTTPS > Decrypt HTTPS traffic option, start the capture, reproduce your issue, then stop and save the capture. You can find more information here.
Once you've done that, please send a Frown through the Power Query ribbon and attach the traces.
    Thanks,
    Ehren

  • 500 Internal Server Error  Servlet error: An exception occurred.

    Hi All,
I was trying to access oracle applications. I installated R12 on Linux through VM Ware. I started Database Listener , Database and Finally Application Tier using adstrtal.sh. Every thing went fine with exit status as zero. I installed mozillla firefox and jre 1.6.0_07 but when I gave URL and tried to access applications i was getting 500 Internal server error.
    Below is the error
    500 Internal Server Error
Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details.

I've a situation that, we have to add some pages into the APPS environment. For that, what we generally do is,
    1. Stop the Apache server.
    2. Add the pages.
    3. Start the Apache server again
    And it should start.
But, In our case it's giving an internal server error.
And as we run autoconfig its working fine. But as it is a test server, we've got to add the pages several times. Each and every time we add pages we have to run autoconfig.
    our environment is
    OS: IBM AIX 6
    APPS: release 11.5.10.2
we can't understand what the problem is!!!
Is the there any solution for that?
Please do suggest, if any one experienced the same...

  • HTTP 500 internal Server ERROR, Application error occurred ...

    Hello Friends,<br/>
i'm facing a suspictious problem and hope, one of you can help me. When i try to connect to J2EE-Startpage http://<server>:50000 or http://<server>:8000 i get the following Error<br/><br/>

    What happened before:<br/>
I applied the J2EE-Part of EHP4 Upgrade with JSPM to the Java-Stack. Deployment has finished without any errors.<br/>
    <br/>
    Situation:<br/>
Java-Stack is running and connected per SAPJSF to ABAP-Stack. Processes in SAPMMC are green. Java-Stack is allocating it's memory (about 1.5 GB) as i can see in Taskmanager and sysinternal`s processxplorer. I set Java-Parameter corresponding to note 723909 (696410, 716604) and upgraded JDK to latest version (1.4.2_26). Starting and stopping the Java-Stack with transaction SMICM works as it should. Even the Webservices for 3'rd Party-Applications supplied by the java-stack are working. Deployed Components in Service "Deploy" in VisualAdmin -> Server_0 are OK and connection to DB is up. Reboot of server doesn't help in this case. Anything seem's to be fine except i'm not able to access J2EE-Applications per Webbrowser, not on the werver itself by using localhost, nor by using fqdn on my client workstation. System: w2K3 x32Bit, MaxDB 7.7.07 Build 16, SUN JDK 1.4.2_26<br/>

    Hi Shitij,
thank you very much for your advice and sorry for beeing so late.<br/>
You're absolutely right. there are some error's i've to look for. <br/>
The confusing thing is, that the tracefiles DefaultTrace.&lt;NO&gt;.trc are filled up in about 5 seconds with 10 MB Stuff. In our productive Environment, this is not the case. Below, i attached the last lines from DefaultTrace.1.trc where i tried to connect to the webaccess. By the Way, there's an DB-connect error, even  though there are some SAPEC6DB sessions in DBM-Gui. Probably i've to raise up the numbers of maximum connections in VisualAdmin.DB-session  usage in DMB-gui is 53%. I will post DM-Connection error from DefaultTrace.&lt;NO&gt; in next Post.

  • HTTP 500 - Internal server error - Occuring while trying to upload a pdf

I have a struts based web portal application which has a file upload function in a jsp. This uses the basic <html:file > tag:
    <html:file name="testForm" accept="image/gif" property="myRequestFile" size="50" styleId="myRequestFile"></html:file>
    and the form definition:
    <html:form action="/attachAction" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post" name="testForm" type="TestForm" styleId="testForm">
This works fine for all attachments except one particular PDF document.
When i try to attach the same i get a 500 Internal server error.
    Has anyone faced similar issue?
    Please help me out.
    Thanks

That would depend on your application server. If you don't have an administrator and you can't figure it out yourself and you can't hire somebody to solve your problem, then change the code to catch the exception and write the stack trace to a file or something like that.

  • Report printing with BI pubisher - 500 Internal server error

    Hi,
I was having problems using BI publisher to print with. I thought we didn't have it at first, however since found we do have BI Publisher Enterprise edition.
When I put the settings into APEX, reports don't display as expected. I get
    report error:
ORA-20001: The printing engine could not be reached because either the URL specified is incorrect or a proxy URL needs to be specified. Now if I navigate to the URL in my web browser, http://[server]:[port]/xmlpserver/convert, I get a 500 - Internal Server Error page. The requets is definitely hitting something because if I change "convert" to say "convert1" then I get 404 (as expected). So it seems as if convert is found but then a problem occurs.
If I navigate to just http://[server]:[port]/xmlpserver/ then I see the BI publisher enterprise login screen.
Any ideas what might be causing this or what I could do to resovle it?
Our APEX instance is on a unix box and BI on a M$ box if that matters (long story)?
    Thanks

Dear Cobos, For FQDN related issues : Set profile param "icm/host_name_full" with corresponding FQDN via RZ10 transaction. Also check login/create_sso2_ticket & /accept_sso2_ticket parameters in the profile you have created.  Instead of "http://sesue:50300" you may to have the URL like "http://sesue.domain.com:50300//SAP/BW/BEX/". Please refer this #scn article for more details : http://goo.gl/QPlrx Similar Issues : http://goo.gl/mRCh0 Hope it helps. Thanks.

    1. Some fields for the backend system used to setup the JCO destination are not updated properly (i.e.
    empty) in SLD.
    2. Ensure that the SLD is setup properly. Click on the u201CTest Connectionu201D to check that the SLD is up and running.

  • 500 Internal Server Error while trying to view report from portal page

    Hello guys,
We are using BI7. while accessing the queries for the reports, its displaying  the 500 Internal Server Error. The error message is:
    500 Internal Server Error
Failed to process request; contact your system administrator
BEx Web Application " I_Qnc()2ex.........(etc) does not exist. The application was either ended by a timout or an error occured.
    Need your help on this..
    Thanks in Advance,
    Yogesh.

In which environment are you running this query? Is it Dev. system or Quality/testing or Production ?
1.Generally in most of the cases this will be a TimeOut Error, but not necessarily just that,500 Error applies to variety of problems within the server.
Try and restrict the query to populate less amount of data and check if you get teh same error, if so the check for latest OSS note, have a look at your SP level as well before  applying the oss note if relevant.
    2. If this doesnt solve, then  recheck the query.
Due to large amounts of data in production the OLAP  and front -end might require more amount of time than assigned, though not recommended, you can check by changing the waiting time just for thsi query to make sure that this is the problem and not something else which requires basis assistance.

    Ray
