OCI/SQLT Typecode Mapping - Need Help
Greetings,
I am writing OCI based driver/etl tool with 10.2 instances. I am trying to reduce type conversions b/n export/import databases and also reduce similar conversions at ETL tool(OCI lib) itself. Hence i went out to use best possible external datatype (c/c++) mapping for particular internal type (oracle storage). OCI provides various API's to convert b/n types but, my whole idea is to reduce these conversions as much as possible at any level. So, to keep varchar2(OCI_TYPECODE_VARCHAR2) as varchar2(SQLT_XXX), i am not able to find a conclusive answer. I found this non-agreeing piece of information in OCI Programmers Guide, 10.2 Nov 05 release.
Location 1:
Page 3-6, Table 3-2 (*External Datatypes and Codes*)
Also Here: [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28395/oci03typ.htm#CEGIEEJI]
Varchar2 maps normally maps to SQLT_CHAR, size(n) as it says.
Location 2: Page 3-27, Table 3-11 (*OCI_TYPECODE to SQLT Mappings*)
Also Here: [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28395/oci03typ.htm#g454572]
Varchar2 maps to SQLT_VCS, size(n)
Any comment helping me to understand this or pointing where i am going wrong is much appreciated, thanks in advance.
you're not getting OCI_TYPECODE_BDOUBLE but SQLT_IBDOUBLE..
OCI will always report you
- SQLT_IBDOUBLE for BINARY_DOUBLE colums
- SQLT_IBFLOAT for BINARY_FLOAT colums
SQLT_BDOUBLE and SQLT_BFLOAT are sql type codes thant you can specify when you define or bind variable.
Once again, certains sql type are meant to be reported by Oracle and others meant to be set by applications to tell OCi how to retrieve the data.
Read again the OCI guide :
BINARY_FLOAT and BINARY_DOUBLE
The BINARY_FLOAT and BINARY_DOUBLE datatypes represent single-precision and double-precision floating point values that mostly conform to the IEEE754 standard for Floating Point Arithmetic.
Prior to the addition of these datatypes, all numeric values in an Oracle database were stored in the Oracle NUMBER format. These new binary floating point types will not replace Oracle NUMBER. Rather, they are alternatives to Oracle NUMBER that provide the advantage of using less disk storage.
These internal types are represented by the following codes:
* SQLT_IBFLOAT for BINARY_FLOAT.
* SQLT_IBDOUBLE for BINARY_DOUBLE.
All the following host variables can be bound to BINARY_FLOAT and BINARY_DOUBLE datatypes:
* SQLT_BFLOAT (native float)
* SQLT_BDOUBLE (native double)

User define functions in Mapping - Need help...
I have the following Source structure
<root> (1...Unbounded)
<field1>
<field2>
<field3>
</root>
and need to map this in
<target>
<fields1>
<struct1>
<field2>
</struct1>
<struct1>
<field3>
</struct1>
</target>
i.e i need to create twice the struct1 one for each field (field2, field3) no matter how many rows I have...
Example:
<row>
<f1>1.1
<f2>1.2
<f3>1.3
</row>
<row>
<f1>2.1
<f2>2.2
<f3>2.3>
</row>
should result:
<target>
<f1>1.1
<struct1>
<f>1.2
</struct1>
<struct1>
<f>1.3</f>
</struct1>
</target>
Please advideThanks for the answer. But the problem is that the target structure is a standard IDOC and can not be change to be more exact:
The target message has two fields
<row>
GIDate
DocDate
</row>
and need to create two segments of the idoc SHP_IBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL.SHP_IBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL02
for segment E1BPDLVDEADLN where TIMETYPE and TIMESTAMP_UTC changes based on the two flat fields of the row structure:
e.g.
if I have
<row>
<deliveryNo>1111111111
<GIdate>20070909</gidate>
<DocDate>20071010</DocDate>
</row>
in the Idoc I neew to have
<E1BPDLVDEADLN>
<DELIV_NUM>1111111111
<TIMETYPE>WSHDRWADTI
<TIMESTAMP_UTC>20070909
</E1BPDLVDEADLN>
<E1BPDLVDEADLN>
<DELIV_NUM>1111111111
<TIMETYPE>WSHDRLFDAT
<TIMESTAMP_UTC>20071010
</E1BPDLVDEADLN>

I was at a cafe today and wanted to find my way to a new location in the same town.
I looked up the address in Google maps to the cafe where I was and was going to do a 'from here' 'to there' route.
My question is with my current location (cafe) in the 'from here', how do I search for the new location whilst keeping the current location in the from here box?
Do I have to first bookmark the 'from here' location, then find the 'to there' loction, then go back load the bookmark and do a route? Seems a long way around.
Any 'smart' iphone Google maps users be able to help?
thanksI'll try and explain what I am trying to do.
I went to a cafe and from there I wanted to go to a shop in the same town.
I searched GM's for the cafe, so I could put it in my 'from here' field.
Now I wanted to search for the shop, I knew it's name so I searched and found it, I chose this as my 'to here' field but now my from 'here field' is empty (the cafe I am at).
The only way I could do it was bookmark the cafe I was in, search for the shop and click 'to here', then in the 'from here' click and choose the cafe bookmark.
Is there another way to do this?
thanks -
Developing XML-driven map - need help with function.
Hey all,
I've created a map that loads a bunch of locations, saved
with labels and X&Y coordinates which is all stored in an XML
File. The list is populated into a list component, where a user can
click an item and see the map zoom over to the corresponding
location. This part works fine.
What I'm trying to do now is make it so when you click a
location on the map, it has the same behavior as if you clicked the
same item location in the list. Problem is, I can't figure out to
write that function, so I figured 1000 brains are better than one.
Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks, I appreciate it...It's gotta be something simple I'm
missing.Also, I'm calling an xml file with locations, coordinates,
labels, etc.... That looks like this:
<item>
<building>Academic Computing Center</building>
<mapnumber>1</mapnumber>
<xposition>-560</xposition>
<yposition>-638</yposition>
<mapscale>3</mapscale>
<labelx>516</labelx>
<labely>93</labely>

Mapping conversion help needed for date
Hi Experts,
I need help in message mapping convesion for date field
The source date field can have value '2010-06-04T02:09:59.610-07:00' or 2010-06-04T02:09:60.610-07:00
I have to change it to '2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00'. ie, if the seconds are 59.XXX, or 60.XXX, then change to 59.000.
Please let me know the best way to do this
Thanks
MikeAgain, to make it more clear
The source date field can have any date value such as
2010-06-04T02:09:59.610-07:00 -
This needs to be changed to 2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00
2010-06-04T02:09:60.610-07:00 -- This needs to be changed to 2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00
2010-06-04T02:09:60.000-07:00 -- This needs to be changed to 2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00
2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00 - This need not be changed
2010-06-04T02:09:58.610-07:00 -- This need not be changed
2010-06-04T02:09:57.610-07:00 etc etc - These need not be changed.
The only change using date function is for the first two dates, in which 59.XXX and 60.XXX need to be replaced with 59.000
Using the above date function, all the seconds 59.XXX, 58.XXX, 60.XXX, etc etc,,, are converted to 59.000, 58.000 and 60.000
I dont need this as per the requirement. So looks like the UDF needs to be altered a little to accomodate my requirement.
Please help me.
Thanks

Need help in modifying mapping parameters of out the box mapping
Hi There,
I am a new bee to dac.
Need help in modifying mapping parameters of out the box mapping, which is invoked by DAC task.
We got a requirement to edit mapping parameter. When I go and see parameter under mappings tab in a mapping, I could not see any values in it.
But when I set any value, and validate it. It is successful.
Is it right way to do it?
What my concern is, When I initially go and see parameter values under maapings tab in a mapping, they are blank.
Where is it storing these values?
Thanks,
RagIf you modify mapping then u have to create new task in dac and dac itself craete parameter file at run time. if you want to add more parameters then do it in dac system parameters tab.
Thanks

Need help with instruments mapping
I have Korg PA80 and i hooked up midi out from it to midi in to Logic8, I have some nice realtime accompaniment tunes i can play on that keyboard, what i want to do is to play on my PA80 accompaniment tracks but replace all sounds with my custom sounds from my Logic plug ins, right now when I hit play all i hear is some garbage playing because no instruments properly mapped on Logic, I even created all 16 instrument tracks and set them all on all 16 channels, drums on 10 and so on, but when i start play on PA80 in Logic I still hear like bass trying to play all parts and not bass part only, same for drums when i press Am or Dm drums will play properly with some another drums sounds that trying to play all other instruments parts, need to separate them so the bass will play only bass part, drums will play drum part and so on, need help on how can i do that, lets say for drums i will choose logic drums sounds, for base Logic bases and so on, so Logic will become something like sound module for my PA80 instead of internal sounds I would like to use my virtual instruments sounds, thanks a lot
Thanks for your reply Dave.
I have no answer to your question but I found a way to create my SQL code with OWB mapping operators. Unfortunately it is very very slow compared to the execution of the SQL code and therefore not useful at all. I connected the following steps all in one mapping:
1. Table operator(T006_SITE) -> Filter(T006A01PK_SITEID where T006A11FK_COUNTRYID IS NULL)
2. Table operator(T002_COUNTRY) -> AGG (MAX T002A01PK_COUNTRYID)
3. JOIN the output from 1. and 2.(T006A01PK_SITEID and T002A01PK_COUNTRYID))
4. UPDATE T006_SITE with the output from 3. (T006A01PK_SITEID as matching column and T006A11FK_COUNTRYID as column to be updated)
The execution mode of the mapping should be set-based fail over to row-based, but it used row-based mode even without getting an error. Are UPDATE mappings only executable in row-based mode or is there a way to change that?
Does anyone have an idea how I can speed up that mapping or integrate my SQL code in the OWB?
Thanks in advance,

MY phone is using large amounts of data, when i then go to system services, it s my mapping services thats causing it. what are mapping services and how do i swithch them off. i really need help.
I Have the same problem, I switched off location services, maps in data, whatever else maps could be involved in nd then just last nite it chewed 100mb... I'm also on vodacom so I'm seeing a pattern here somehow. Siri was switched on however so I switched it off now nd will see what happens. but I'm gonna go into both apple and vodacom this afternoon because this must be sorted out its a serious issue we have on our hands and some uproar needs to be made against those responsible!

Plz , need help on IDOC mapping
Hi friends
I need help on mapping IDOC (invoic02) to a customer fields to be sent to a printhouse .
The idoc contains several Item lines , from 1 and up after for instance
The fields E1EDP01-MENGE and E1EDP26-BETRG could be repeated many times , the customer wants eah line item (quantity , price and subtotal ) in separate lines.
What is the best approach to do the mapping , and how can I loop in the idoc segments in order to get each line separetly.
Many thanks in advance.Hi
Thanks again , plz bear with me as i am new to this kind of assignment.
This is a part of my requirement, so i suppose that I have to create a Data type as node for the customer fields corresponding to the node in IDOC and just map the source node to the target node , and it will repeat it self as many times as there is line items in the sales order.
Customer fields Idoc fields.
segment E1EDP01
DETAIL_ANTAL E1EDP01-MENGE - LOOP
segment E1EDP26
DETAIL_STK_PRIS E1EDP26-BETRG - QUALIFIER = 001- LOOP
DETAIL_SUBTOTAL E1EDP26-BETRG - QUALIFIER = 003 LOOP
If I change the context of the source, will it not affect the source node at all.
best regrads. -

Need help on maps v3.04
i need help for map v3.04. i just downloaded the v3.04 and i notice it doesn't have GPS signal on the map. last time i was using v3.03, it has. the problem is, i have disabled the connection of internet. but when i use the map v3.04 for navigate, my credit still affected. i wonder why. is it using v3.04 is still ok or do i need to use v3.03. how to install v3.03 since the updater only have new one.thanks
Solved!
Go to Solution.You should be able to use V3.04 without incuring any network charges as long as you have it set up correctly. Check the following.
Start the Location application and click on Positioning>Positioning methods. Make sure everything other than Integrated gps is unticked.
You will also need to download all the required map data. To do this, connect your phone to a pc using Ovi Suite and download the relevant map data. After that, start Maps, click on the Spanner icon>Internet>Connection, set this to Offline.
As for the signal bars, this has been replaced by the red dot on V3.04. The dot stops flashing when position fix is obtained. Sometimes you may see a pink halo around the red dot. The size of this halo gives you an indication of the position accuracy. The bigger the halo the less accurate the fix. -
first of all, who has heard of the game called zuul? It is a very boring text based game I am currently having the pleasure of improving.
Basically, you are in a room, that is connected to a bunch of other rooms and depending on the room you are in, you have different exists and different items in the room.
The goal is to navigate through the collection of Rooms and there is no real win condition, It is more for learning then for actually playing.
You navigate by a series of commands such as: go (direction)( as in "direction of exit", NSEW), quit, a few other odd bits.
ex: go south, quit, go west etc
The game has several classes: Game, Command, CommandWords, Item, Parser, Room.
Obviously Game is the main central head conch, (it is not the super class.)
Game makes use of Item, Room, Parser, and Command.
Item is the class that deals with the number of items in the Room.
Room is the class that deals with the rooms the player will navigate to and from.
Command reads in the commands such as "go-(direction)" or "quit".
Parser makes everybody understand each other by using both Command and CommandWords.
CommandWords is a list of commands such as "go", "quit" etc.
The problem I am having right now is to allow a player to move through the rooms while holding a certain item. The item has to come from the rooms and the player should be able to drop it.
So I have to add two new commands: take and drop. The problem is that I have been asked to do this without creating a new class. Otherwise I would have just created class Player and be done with it. So I am trying to figure out whose responsibility should it be to take care of the take and drop command. I have done some preliminary work in class Game, it is the take(Command command) and drop() methods.
I have also a few questions concerning other aspects of the project, I have listed their locations here:
1. The take() method in class Game, the for-each loop, a complier error with ArrayList
2. class Parser, a general question about the string tokenzier
If you want to see how the game is suppose to run, just comment out the bodies of take() and drop(). Not the declaration. Everything else works.
I shall now provide the code to all classes. I wish there were an option to upload a zip file, then you don't have to read through all the codes and copy&paste all the codes. The complier I am using is BlueJ. And the SDK version is 1.6. With the exception of class Game, everything else can be assumed to be error free.
Thank you for your time,
Davy

I need helping configuring RDP access to my local server from a remote location on my Cisco ASA 5505 Firewall.
I have attempted to configure rdp access but it does not seem to be working for me Could I please ask someone to help me modify my current configuration to allow this? Please do step by step as I could use all the help I could get.
I need to allow the following IP addresses to have RDP access to my server:
66.237.238.193-66.237.238.222
69.195.249.177-69.195.249.190
69.65.80.240-69.65.80.249
My external WAN server info is - 99.89.69.333
The internal IP address of my server is - 192.168.6.2
The other server shows up as 99.89.69.334 but is working fine.
I already added one server for Static route and RDP but when I try to put in same commands it doesnt allow me to for this new one. Please take a look at my configuration file and give me the commands i need in order to put this through. Also please tell me if there are any bad/conflicting entries.
THE FOLLOWING IS MY CONFIGURATION FILE
Also I have modified IP information so that its not the ACTUAL ip info for my server/network etc... lol for security reasons of course
Also the bolded lines are the modifications I made but that arent working.

ciscoasa(config-network)#Unclear what did not work. In your original post you include said some commands were added but don't work:
static (inside,outside) tcp interface 3389 192.168.6.2 3389 netmask 255.255.255.255
and later you state you add another command that gets an error:
static (inside,outside) tcp 99.89.69.333 3389 192.168.6.2 3389 netmask 255.255.255.255
You also stated that 99.89.69.333 (actually 99.89.69.233, guessing from the rest of your config and other posts) is your WAN IP address.
The first static statement matches Cisco's documentation, which states that a static statement must use the 'interface' directive when you are trying to do static PAT utilizing the IP address of the interface. Since 99.89.69.333 is the assigned IP address of your WAN interface, that may explain why the second statement fails.
Any reason why you are using static PAT (including the port number 3389) instead of just skipping that directive? Static PAT usually makes sense when you need to change the TCP port number. In your example, you are not changing the TCP port 3389. -
