Im really new in C programing, but i need implement this environment.
I tryed ALL ways to do that, but without success.
I Have a Client oracle in my Unbuntu S.O.
But i need just make my Client trade information with my AIX oracle server.
if someone have some sample project will be very apreciated.
I tryed with RDMS samples who come with database and worked running demo_xe.mk...
But i can't configure my IDE to acept the .C code for that sampler. I know is anything about my LIB links... but tryed for 3 days and not working.

An interesting discussion on this subject a month or two ago made me realize it is actually better for people completely new to the platform to start learning through an IDE. We're talking about the bare Java language here, which you should always start with. An IDE with syntax highligthing that shows errors while you type is a valuable learning tool.
(Temporarily) switching to the command line is better when you are ready to make the next step: learning about the classpath, packages, the tools, etc. After all you are only going to really learn that stuff when you can already write some simple things.
OP: I would recommend you to start with Netbeans (netbeans.org). It is the more coherent IDE of the bunch that is also quite user friendly and even has a whole host of tutorials, both text and video, on its website - that should get you going quite quickly in combination with the java tutorial. I'm not saying you should not at one point consider Eclipse too as it is a very powerful and flexible IDE, but for newcomers it can be a bit quirky IMO.

CS4 XMP SDK - Can't get it to work with Eclipse IDE

I've been trying to use the CS4 XMP (FileInfo) SDK with the Eclipse IDE, as described in the docs, but there must be a missing step in the documentation because I have added the Ant Plugin and the XMP plugin (jar) but there is no "XMP / Custom Panel" project option showing in Eclipse.
Has anyone got this to work? Does it require a specific (i.e. not the latest Ganymede) version of Eclipse?

Unfortunately I do not have Flex Builder (it is pay-for software). The XMP FileInfo SDK Programmer's Guide says there are three options:
1. Adobe Flex Builder
2. Eclipse IDE with Flex-Builder plug-in
3. Flex SDK
I've been trying number 2 (Eclipse IDE) as I am familiar with Eclipse and the plugin is included with the SDK, but it doesn't work so I guess the documentation is missing a few steps.

Restart eclipse with the "-clean" option: "eclipse -clean"
Window > Open Perspective > Other > J2EE
Server tab > Right click > New > Server > JBoss 4.2.0( If the sersver tab is not there in the bottom panel go to Eclipse Menu
Window>show view>others>server>servers the press OK

Where does the output of this go? Where are the compiled classes? To
interoperate with another IDE, the other IDE needs to know the output path.
It would be very nice to have Workshop and the other IDE point to same
output path. I know that the jar goes in the Libraries directory...
Consider the following web project scenario:
MyApp contains MyWebApp
MyWebApp has WEB-INF which has src directory. With the split development
model the classes go in .workshop\output\MyWebApp. Okay, now it is possible
for the other IDE to use the same output path of .workshop\output\MyWebApp
Consider the following ejb project scenario:
MyApp contains MyEJBApp
Again where does the output go?
Ideally, how would interoperability work?
We can edit artifacts in workshop. We can edit artifacts in another IDE.
We can compile in workshop. We can compile in another IDE. That means the
output paths are well-known. The generated artifacts like Home and Business

Problem with Eclipse IDE

I have Eclipse 2.1 IDE. I have installed Tomcat Plug-in for Eclipse, still I am not able to create a Tomcat project in Eclipse. What could be the reason ??

My guess is that you're not using Eclipse properly. Have you read the docs telling you how to use that plug-in?
You don't say whether or not you're an experienced Eclipse user or if this is your first try at it.
If we assume that you created the Tomcat project properly, what do the Tomcat logs say?

Flash Builder 4.7 with Eclipse Kepler

I'm trying to install the Adobe Flash Player 4.7 with Eclipse Kepler. I'm using the Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Plugin-in Utility.
It seems that this version of the Builder is not compatible with the Eclipse Kepler but only with Eclipse Indigo or Eclipse Juno
Do you have any idea of how to do use Adobe Flash Player 4.7 with Eclipse Kepler?

I try to add a new employee in my SAP Business One system, but I get an error message like that : [Microsoft][SQL Native Client] Connection is busy with results for another command * (HEM5) (HEM5)
So I try to see if I get the same message when I update an employee, and I don't get this message.
Do you have an idea, why I get this error message when I add a new employee ?

I am afraid there maybe two users / workstations using the same user code and one of them is creating (add) and other is update. Try to ask the users/wrokstations.
Another way out is try to run this query :

I am quite new in Flex and Eclipse, but I would like to start my journey. So at the beginning I have to have a software to create my projects. I decided to make it in Eclipse SDK with Flex SDK. But I have no idea how can I install Flex SDK in Eclipse. I mean I would like to be able pree new and then Flex application. The Flex 2 plugin for Eclipse does not work with Eclipse
3.3.x - you need 3.2.x. Download the Flex 3 Beta from Adobe labs
and that will work with Eclipse 3.3.x
You can use a Flex 2 SDK with the Flex Builder 3 plugin -
each Flex 3 project can select its own Flex SDK. Plus you can help
us test Flex 3, including the Profiler tool.

Using Toplink with Eclipse - (Newbie question)

If you have (for instance):
* a blank Dynacmic Web Project in Eclipse
* and you have a Workbench Toplink project- say an XML or Database project.
Then you have to save your Toplink project, which spurts out various directories e.g. classes, descriptors, schemas, fooname.mwp etc.
Where do you save this in your Java project - is it at /src? Or someplace else?
I am asking this question because I am having problems when debugging my application - certain xml files cannot be found etc. Anyway I guess I just need to find out if I am getting the basics right for now - so any help will be much appreciated.
PS - Why can't I find a simple tutorial/example showing Eclipse and Toplink - it's all JDeveloper and Ant builds and ahhhhhghghhhgh!

Hi, try the following EclipseLink JPA examples and tutorials for SE and EE environments - oriented around the Eclipse 3.4 IDE (ant capable but WTP ready)
With these you will be able to fully debug your JPA application both on and off any application server.
If you are still deploying your WAR to Tomcat then the following tutorial on running EclipseLink JPA on Tomcat 6 will help you out. Put your additional orm.xml file alongside persistence.xml if you are using functionality beyond standard JPA.

Using *.so files with eclipse

I'm having a little problem compiling an application which uses *.so files with eclipse:
If I run eclipse from the directory in which the *.so files are present, the application will run.
However, if I run eclipse from any other directory , the applicationwon't run, stating that the *.so were not found.
I've placed the path to the directory on my $PATH , and tried to add the following line to the VM variables in the RUN menu:
-Djava.class.path=<directory _name>
but to no avail..
Any ideas?

I added it to the LD path, but nothing changed.
How can I check if eclispe picked up the change?First check that you can now run your program from any directory and then worry about Eclipse.
Where did you setup the LD_LIBRARY_PATH?

Looking for WebLogic 10.3.5 install media with Eclipse for 64-bit

I need to install OSB on 64-bit for 11.1.1.5 suite.
I have downloaded ofm_osb_generic_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of1.zip
The instllation process asks for Eclipse location which should be installed with the WebLogic.
The file I used to install the web logic was wls1035_generic.jar, but it doesn't have Eclipse.
I was able to find WebLogic 10.3.5 with Eclipse (wls1035_oepe111172_win32.exe) but it is for 32-bit, I need 64 bit.
Any idea?

What I did I downloaded the 11.1.1.5 version that I need
oepe-galileo-all-in-one-11.1.1.5.0.201003170852-win32-x86_64.zip
I did unzip it, BUT! I what I am seeing in the unzipped content is not the 'regular' install distribution, I mean there is no INSTALL or SETUP utilities, there is an executable called eclipse.exe which when sarted gives me the eclipse I beleive. This is fine per say, my concern is that later when I go and try to install OSB that will be looking for eclipse installation, and if eclipse was not 'installed' but just 'unzipped' it won't see it. May I am making things a little more complex than they need to be, I am just a little confused. I am not sure if this is the right way that'a all, my goal was OSB this is what brought me to eclipse.
