Odata Connection Refresh Error while using excel web app - Project Online 2013

Hello All,
I am trying to work with odata reporting on project online 2013. I am not using MS Excel client, I open any of the available default report in excel online. when i try to refresh data connection from data tab. it's giving me an error
as show below

I have already enabled "PWA for excel web app refresh" feature.
Following the blog instructions and microsoft support, i have tried to grant permission to
AppId= 00000009-0000-0000-c000-000000000000
And In the Permission Request XML field, copy and paste the following XML:

Now, According to the microsoft, it should show Microsoft.Azure.Azureservices as Title but as per below screen shot it shows Power BI Reporting and Analytics..

However, i click on ok button and check that the permission has been granted. i can see Microsoft Power BI reporting and analytics in the app permissions.
I again go to my BI reporting, open my report in excel online and refresh the data connection and nothing changed. It's giving me the same error.
I hope that i am able to narrate my problem. Please tell me, What i am missing here...

Ok, why did manually add / update the permission XML? Do you get this error for new Excel based reports? Test creating a new one, example here:

Loading PowerBI workbooks in Excel Web App / SP Online issues

I have a number of PowerBI reports hosted on Office365 through SPOnline. These workbooks are viewed using Excel Online. I am travelling through the Netherlands at the moment and none of the larger workbooks (¬20mb) and above will
open, though they worked fine in my home server location (Asia). The smaller workbooks still open fine. I get a "connecting taking too long" error from the Excel Web app. I hope that this issue gets resolved as I would
expect these BI solutions to be available to global users no matter where they're hosted from.

External Meetings using Lync Web App vs Lync 2013 Desktop client

We have LYNC Server 2013 deployed on premise. Our clients are LYNC 2013. When someone external to our organization sends us a Lync meeting request we are able to connect with our Lync 2012 desktop client but only Audio is available. We cannot share
the desktop. If however we connect to the external meeting using the Lync Web App (by specifying
?sl=1 at the end of the meeting url) we are able to use all the services like audio, desktop sharing etc.
I've found the following articles that suggest that the desktop clients are not the preferred choice to connect to external meetings.

Can anyone advise as to why the desktop clients are restrictive and if there is a fix and if not how can we force users to use the Lync Web App to connect to external meetings?

You should be fine using the full Lync client, it's not restricted by default. If there's an issue, it's typically in the networking related to your edge, or the edge of the organization you're federating with.
The reason the web client is preferred by many (not all, and that's not an official Microsoft stance), is simply that if everyone uses the web client, it's a consistent experience for the attendees and you don't have to worry about the status of attendee's Lync
environment or federation.
Can your external users share a desktop with internal users? Can they do it externally in a conference hosted by you? Can the remote organization share desktops with you when connected to your conferences? And in these conferences,
have the marked you as presenter so you can present your desktop?
There's no good way to automatically force users to use the web app each time unfortunately. The other organization would need to hardcode that ?sl=1 into each meeting invite sent.

Using office web apps with SharePoint 2013

I would like to use office web apps in our SharePoint 2013 environment. I would like to know if OWA has to have a dedicated server or can I install it on the SharePoint 2013 app server.

With SharePoint 2013, Office Web Apps cannot be installed on the SharePoint Server, it must be installed on its own server, not shared with any other IIS-based service (it essentially "takes over" IIS).

Kindly help me in resolving below issue which is getting popped up for only few people, when they are clicking some of the MSS links.

Root Cause
The initial exception that caused the request to fail was:
Cannot get connection for 60 seconds. Possible reasons: 1) Connection are cached within System Thread (can be any server service or code invoked within SystemThread in the SAP J2EE Engine), 2) The pool size of adapter "SAPFactory" is not enough according to the current load of the system

Classpath error while building the web dynpro project

Hi
I have created an application in which on clicking the button on one view , next view opens and data is displayed in the tables. This data i am giving as static, and for that i have created a java file. this java file is located in the subfolder i have created in the package path i have given. While building the application, i get these two errors :
1) The project was not built due to classpath errors (incomplete or involved in cycle).
2) Missing required source folder 'BPOutageTable/BPOT'
BPOutageTable is the application name, and BPOT is the subfolder in which java file is present.
This application is similar to "The Master/Detail Viewer Application" example in the tutorials.
Can anybody please help in this?

Hi,
You have give your classpath in your "lib" folder of the Dynpro application.
check your lib folder shows exact class path or not.
if you wish to add any jar files import it to your lib folder so you will not have compilation problem.

Error while using apple store app for purchase

Hi,
I was using an apple store apps to make the purchase at irvine spacktrum apple store, I bought a PNY USB Flash Drive 8GB using the apps to make the payment. Some how it was giving me errors when the apps asked my 3 digits credit card security number, so I call the sales rep at the store, he saw the same error and he said there might be error issue with the server, so I gave him the PNY for the purchase, he scaned it with his sales device and swiped my credit card.
But just now I look at my Wells Fargo account and I'm seeing 5 of the same transections but then I only make ,1 purchase.
I wish you could fix this issue with my bank, or I will dispute the 4 transaction with the reason of multiple charge over a purchase.
I wish the apple store app can be fix, if there is an error do not takes somebody's money, that way people will trust the app to make the purchase in store.

I've also been trying this for several hours. I get to the point of choosing between the 16GB and 32 GB phones (so, after it has validated my eligibility with at&t and determined the correct pricing) and it just displays a pop-up that says "Error" (no further explanation). Color me completely unimpressed.

Pivot Tables in Website using Excel Web App

I have an Excel file on OneDrive that has 3 tabs. The 1st tab has an area where the user inputs information (numbers). These numbers flow into the 2nd tab and update cells based on the formulas. The 3rd tab has Pivot Tables based on the
2nd tab master data.
I embedded the 1st tab into my website, so the user can inputs information. I then embedded the pivot tables in my website. The problem is that the information in the pivot tables are not updating based on the information the user puts in.
When I right click and hit "refresh", it still does not update. Any ideas?

When you embed the 1st tab on the webpage, and then change the value ,It will not affect the data of the original workbook which saved on the OneDrive. So the PivotTable data will not updated. You can see:
You need to embed all of these 3 tabs on your workbook on the webpage, then change the value of 1st tab, back to the PivotTable, click refresh, the pivot table data will updated as expected.

Excel web app Review tab with SharePoint 2013

Is there a way to get the review tab to show up in Excel web app with SharePoint 2013 on-prem? Users want to be able to use the "add comments" feature while in the excel web app.

That functionality isn't available in Excel Web App on-premise. I just applied the Oct 2014 CU to WAC and do not have it, so the feature just hasn't made it down yet.
You can use the "add comments" tab in excel client.

Can i use office web app server without adding to a domain ?

spserver.local is my domain controller webapp.spsserver.local is my office web app server(OWA)(IP:79.123.161.xxx )
I manage to use office web app with sharepoint 2013 my OWA is in a domain (spserver.local) and it's address is http://webapp.spserver.local/hosting/discovery There
is no problem. But I want to seperate OWA with Sharepoint and its domain I want to remove the domain.Is it possible?
For example my OWA's ip is 79.123.161.xxx
I want to work like this: http://79.123.161.xxx/hosting/discovery
When I enter the path http://79.123.161.xxx/hosting/discovery there
is an iis message "File or directory not found."

Are you asking if you can have your OWA in different domain compared to SharePoint server domain or are you asking that your OWA does not belong to any domain and you still want to use it with SharePoint?
If your question is regarding using OWA in different domain then I think (someone can correct me if I am wrong) OWA can run into different domain. You just need to add your SharePoint Server host domain to the Allow List for an Office Web Apps Server farm.

If your question is related to OWA not belonging to any domain then I do not think that will work and its not supported scenario. If you read the following article it states
"All servers in the Office Web Apps Server farm must be part of a domain. They can be in the same domain (recommended) or in domains that are in the same forest. However, Office Web Apps Server won’t work if you try to install it on a domain controller."

Project Server Reporting Service' is ticked on. So, the concern regarding permission is resolved.
2nd Query,
Ans: Im unable to find Project Web App Permission for Excel Web App Refresh' feature in site setting
of PWA.

Excel type error while using in SSIS 2005

Hi I am trying to dump the data into excel from OLEDB source.
However, I want to load it into excel 2007 (.XLSX type) there it is giving below error while creating excel connection manager (destination)
(it is working fine for .XLS type but i want to load into 2007 workbook)
Error desc:
File path contains invalid Excel file. Please provide file with .xls extension.
Any idea?

Error while using wbutil Client_OLE2.create_obj('Excel...ora-06508

I am facing ora-06508 error while using webutil. Have done all setup as per "How to Configure Webutil in Forms 11g ".
Error on following statement "Client_OLE2.create_obj('Excel.Application')"
FRM-40375, ORA-06508.

It is mentioned in webutil doc that, you must regenerate webutil.pll before using it; otherwise you’ll encounter error ORA-06508 when running a form with the attached library.
